"Come on guys, we're going to be late!" Percy yelled down the hill to where Annabeth, Nico, Will, Leo, Calypso, were slowly making their way after him. "I haven't seen Jason in months and if we don't hurry we're not going to be able to surprise him and Piper at the airport!" Annabeth picked up her pace a bit when he mentioned Piper. They had an unusual dating arrangement between the four of them, Annabeth, Percy, and Jason were bi while Piper was pan. Annabeth and Piper had noticed Percy and Jason's attraction to each other on the Argo II, but it had taken their boys a bit longer to notice that they had been flirting as well. So they had made an arrangement, Percy was with Jason and Annabeth, Jason was with Piper and Percy, Annabeth was with Percy and Piper, and Piper was with Jason and Annabeth. It was slightly awkward at first since neither Percy or Jason were romantically interested in the others girlfriend, and the same was for Annabeth and Piper when it came to their boyfriends. Percy and Piper were great friends, as were Annabeth and Jason, they just weren't interested in a romantic relationship, at least not yet. It was working out pretty well so far, and Percy really wanted to get to the airport so he could see his boyfriend.
"Chill out Perce," Nico said rolling his eyes. "We have plenty of time to get to the airport, don't worry."
"Easy for you to say, you have your boyfriend right there!" Percy pouted. "How would you feel if you hadn't seen Will in months?" Nico rolled his eyes and sighed while Will snickered quietly.
"I would just shadow travel to wherever he was, and I would have done the same for you, but you never asked," Nico said dryly. Percy froze on the top of the hill while the rest of the group also started laughing a bit.
"Wait, whenever you talk about Piper it's always more detailed than a phone call," Percy said suspiciously. Annabeth just walked past with a mischievous sparkle in her eye. "You were going to New Rome without me! Did Jason know? And Nico! How did you not pass out from all that Shadow Travel?" Percy said in shock as Annabeth also started laughing.
"I slept it off in Hazel's apartment, and it was good for building up my stamina again after last summer," Nico said with a shrug. "But I doubt I could have taken both of you at the same time, not in the beginning. Maybe now though, we'll have to try it sometime and see." Will gave Nico a half hearted glare, but knew that trying to talking the Ghost King out of 'training' would be futile.
"Piper and I had a bet going to see which of you would notice first, now she owes me twenty bucks," Annabeth said taking Percy's hand. "I'll take you with me next time and you can hang out with Jason, I promise, Seaweed Brain." Percy pouted, how dare his own girlfriend hide secrets from him. Then she kissed him and all was forgiven. How she and Piper had managed to hang out in New Rome without Jason hearing about it himself, or Reyna hearing and telling him was beyond him, but having a daughter of Athena as a girlfriend does have its perks.
"Alright mis amigos, let's get this show on the road!" Leo said as he hoped onto a motorcycle he had made, Calypso getting on behind him. Will and Nico were going to ride with Percy and Annabeth to the airport, then shadow travel to Percy's apartment.
It took them a while to get to the airport, but they did manage to arrive about ten minutes before Jason and Piper were supposed to land. Annabeth tried to keep Percy calm while they waited, and succeeded for the most part. It involved lots of kisses and blue jellybeans that she had brought just for this scenario. Soon Annabeth felt her phone, which Leo had made monster proof, vibrate in her pocket and smiled, Jason and Piper were on their way out. Annabeth laughed as Percy started looking around excitedly waiting to see Jason's unmistakable blond hair, her Seaweed Brain was too predictable. Then Percy was dashing towards the doors as a familiar tall blond came into view.
"Jason!" Percy yelled. Jason turned and smiled, looking just as happy as Percy. Percy practically jumped into Jason's arms and kissed him. Percy might be slightly older than the blond, but Jason was a good 3 inches taller, a fact that Percy sulked about at least once a week. Annabeth and Piper were both laughing as they hugged, then rolled their eyes at their boyfriends who were still laughing and kissing. And if they got a few looks as they headed back to their vehicles, they didn't care.
