When Nora woke him up in the middle of the night, her having broken into his room more than once, Jaune more than expected an adventure he'd probably laugh about in Ozpin's face. What he didn't expect is Nora's shaky whispers, and tears streaming down her face. Jaune was sitting up in a second.
"Nora?" He whispered, confused and very, very worried. The ginger bomber sniffed and looked him in the eye.
"I h-had..." She covered her mouth as quiet sobs escaped her. Jaune had then gently pulled her into his arms. She sobbed into his shoulder, mumbling about fire, screams, and a demon straight from hell.
"Nora, it's not real. Youre here with me, okay?" He whispered gently. "I won't let anyone or anything hurt you, because they'll have go through me first."
He pulled away enough to look her in the eyes. Her turquoise pools looked into his blue ones.
"And an Arc never goes back on his word." He smiled and kissed her forehead. Nora burried her face in his chest and hugged him tightly.
"Thank you, Jaune." He rubbed her back and rocked back and forth as gently as he could.
Goodwitch was not at all expecting to find what she did when she went to wake Jaune, but in all honesty, it was rather adorable: She'd swung the door open, steeling herself to deal with the, now, brute of JNPR. Her words died in her mouth, however, as she found Jaune cuddling his teammate.
No, they weren't cuddling; Nora held onto him, curled against his chest with his arms around her. Her face was the calmest Goodwitch had ever truly seen her with, and the way she was being held by the former blonde made it seem as if he were shielding her.
She watched them for a moment, and grabbed the door as her students scooted even closer to each other. A smile graced her lips, and she left of the room. Maybe they could have just five more minutes to themselves.
Sorry I haven't been around. I've been having trouble trying to keep this story funny, but the need for this kind of stuff gets to me and I get stuck.
I'm not sure what I should have happen for the next chapter, but ALL suggestions and requests are accepted.
