She sighed to herself. It must've been the hundredth time she'd done it in the hour alone, paperwork being the best way to give her a migraine. But this one was different. The brute that led JNPR stuck with her. But more than that was his journey to the now; a dorkish white knight with no training, risking his life and giving his all no matter what, had, by the irony of fate, suddenly anything but. She racked her mind, trying to find anything that could explain this, and found herself as one of the pillars to that explanation.

He'd come here, to Beacon, to be who he was deep down. It only seemed natural to nurture such a passion for selflessness, and poor skill, into the best they could be. It seemed natural, but it didn't come to her; berating, downplaying, criticising. All of that was her doing in a field he had no experience in, but threw himself headfirst into with passion. His sudden dedication to training, and quickly escalating grades caught her by surprise. And though he was improving fast, she seemed to not accept it.

Red flags were also ignored when the need for medication, and pleanty of therapy was introduced. She even ignored the blaring siren of immanent breakdown when, suddenly, Pyrrha Nikos began to date his former bully. How could she have been so stupid?

She failed him as a teacher in almost every way. With a sad sigh, she continued with her work, accepting that her roll in his sudden development was bigger than she wanted.
