Sam Manson stood in shock. Her best friend, Danny Fenton, had just told her that he had gotten back together with Valorie Grey. "Isn't that great Sam!" Danny asked in excitement. Sam had been secretly in love with him for a long time and to hear this made her feel like her heart had gotten ripped out of her, got stomped on, and thrown into the streets. " Uh yeah it's great Danny" Sam said in a pathetic attempt to sound happy for Danny but it didn't seem like Danny noticed.

Soon Valorie walked up to Danny, gave him a kiss on the cheek, and said "hey Danny! Have you told Sam?"

"Yep. She said it was great!"

"Good. Hey Danny I need to talk to Mr. Lancer about an assignment so I'm going to go to class a little early. Okay?"

"Okay bye."

After she turned a corner Sam let out a breath of relief. "Well that was a short visit huh?" "Yeah so?"

"Well Danny…I…." As soon as she was about to tell him Tucker showed up. "Hey guys what's up?"

"Me and Val are back together" "that's awesome man!" "Yeah….it's really great….." Sam tried to keep a smile on but her smile turned into an expression that looked like a rage of jealousy. "cough, cough clueless cough, cough"

"You okay Sam?" Danny said note really noticing the 'clueless' in between the coughs

"Yeah I um…I think that I'm getting a soar throat or something. I'm just going to head over the cough nurse's office" Right after she talked the bell rang. "okay hope you feel better Sam" "Thanks Danny" Danny and Tucker ran off to class

"If you knew Danny, oh my god….."

Sam walked through the empty halls slowly towards the nurse's office and could feel herself start to sing.

Sam leaned against the lockers and looked down as she sang

Sam stood back and continued down the halls

Sam sighed in heavy sadness as she entered the office having Danny on her mind the entire time. And as the day progressed she continued to feel the same way but every time she saw Danny with Valorie she felt a whole lot worse.
