She was hesitant to accept it, believing it to be a trick, after all the elven folk were known to be a little bit cheeky, but as she stared deeply into his dark eyes, she knew what her answer would be. "Here, a hibiscus flower for thee."

A sasusaku AU one-shot smut. Elf Sasuke; human Sakura

This was my first ever attempt at creating my own lore for a fic, so please be kind! Also, I think this is one of my first ever elf fics… please let me know how I did! 😅

Sakura was tending to her garden when she heard it… the telling sounds of horse hooves thumping steadily along the gravel road as they approached her father's lands. 'Who… could that at this hour,' she pondered as she slowly stood. She was wiping her hands on her tattered, flowery apron when a pair of men rounded some trees on horseback and she squinted her eyes to get a better look at them as they moved slowly, but steadily towards her family's home.

The first thing that struck her were their eyes. So dark that they mirrored the night sky yet somehow not as welcoming or beautiful. Much darker, much deeper than anything she had ever seen before, yet attractive in their own right.

Next was their skin, which was as pale as a decomposing corpse buried beneath the earth's surface for centuries… and not a blemish in sight; highly unusual given the times.

After that, her attention was drawn to their more prominent feature… their ears to be exact. Her eyebrows furrowed in confusion as she tilted her head slightly to get a better look at them. 'Wait, elves? But what are they doing here?'

It took her a few seconds to react, so stunned was she.

The young woman scrambled to make it home before they did, (after getting her fill of them) eager to warn her family of the incoming company. She burst through the front door and opened her mouth in a frantic panic. "Father! Father, we have to," but she came to a halt only seconds later, jaw dropping as her skirts still swayed around her ankles with her forward momentum. 'How could they… but I just—'

Standing before her was her mother and father, but next to them were the two young men who she could have sworn she saw just two seconds before still riding on horseback. Her eyes moved from one to the other… both men looking at her with complete indifference before her father cleared his throat. All eyes then turned to him, including hers. "My darling daughter, I was just about to fetch you. These nice young gentlemen were sent here to ask you some things."

Her suspicions grew and her body tensed. "What is it?" It was as if the room froze over and she knew that the way in which she had just addressed them was all types of wrong and disrespectful at best, but she couldn't bring herself to care. So, she held her head high and stared down at them from the bridge of her nose. One man seemed to take her defiance in stride, even smirking a little, but the other… did not. His expression hardened and his lips pulled down into a deep frown.

"Great, another one of those," she thought she heard him murmur under his breath, but ignored it for the time being as she waited. Finally though, he let out a deep sigh. "You are Miss Sakura Haruno… correct?" She chose to remain silent, but nodded regardless. "How old are you?" Sakura wished to simply throw them out at this rate, irritation ever present in the back of her mind. I mean what did it matter to them how old she was? Why would they need to know that?

But the look on her mother's face gave her pause because she knew deep down that her behavior would also reflect on them as well. She tried to reign in her agitation. "I'm 21. Now can you get to the point of your visit… please. I really do need to get back to my garden now." The men glanced at one another before the other one spoke up.

"Miss Haruno… do you remember about a week ago when you met a man very similar to us?" She tried desperately to not show any type of emotion on her face, but the frantic beating of her heart would have given her away regardless because with their excellent senses, they would easily pick up on it.

That night, she could picture it almost as clearly as if it had happened last night instead of a whole week ago.

Bright, twinkling lights were her only guidance on the long and windy road as she made her way back to her parent's home. Her mind was busy playing different scenarios all at once and so she didn't notice the approaching figure, until it was far too late to act.

Strong and masculine arms grasped her from behind and the basket in her hands was thrown to the ground as she began to struggle, the fruits of her labor scattering into the dirt when she was forced onto her back on the side of the narrow, deserted road. The pink-haired woman screamed, scratching and clawing at her assailant, but the man was too strong for her and easily pinned her hands above her head within a couple of minutes of the assault.

Sakura couldn't make out his features clearly, but the stars above their heads reflected off of his long blond hair… and the stench of alcohol penetrated her nostrils… sending her stomach into a fit of unease. "Please don't touch me," she begged, but the man only sneered down at her instead.

She tried to brace herself for what he would do next. But right before he had made a grab for her, he was flung back, landing on the ground a few feet away with an angry huff.

Her eyes landed on a tall figure, standing between her and her attacker. His back was to her but even from her prone position on the ground, she could see that he was strong. Sakura gasped and scooted away, watching as he turned slightly in her direction but not fully enough for her to see his features clearly. He still faced the disheveled figure as he slowly stood on shaky legs, clearly drunk.

"Hey! I saw her first. I think it's only fair that I get first dibs on whatever is hiding under that little dress of hers."

She could feel her pulse quicken at his words, but startled at the sound of twigs snapping behind her. She turned and watched with wide eyes as three more men came trudging out of the dense foliage, similar builds to the first man and just as clumsy on their feet. 'They must be his friends,' she surmised as the group came forward in order to surround her and the newcomer.

Her hero (she had decided to call him) stepped back until he was directly next to her, somehow shielding her from all four men at once. His intimidating stature did nothing to dissuade them however and they simply chuckled as if this was some sort of game… and she supposed that it was for them, a sick one.

"Why don't you move along, street rat. Let us have our fun and then when we are done, you can have the scraps."

"Yeah, if there is anything left."

"I can think of one thing," one of them snickered, sending the group into a fit of dark chuckles. Her hero was not so amused and his hands clenched firmly at his sides.

"I will be kind. I will forgive your ignorance and blame it on the aqua vitae in your systems. If you clear out now… and go back home to your wives, I won't harm you, peasants," he growled but from Sakura's perspective, it was more of a lilt that instead of imposing intimidation upon her, sent her heart instead into a flutter and her body tingling all over.

She eyes his back for a moment more before glancing at the angry group of men, all moving into a defensive stance and not taking heed to the man's obvious warning. 'Stupid are thee gentlemen. You will get what you deserve…,' she thought as she took another small scoot back. The small maneuver did NOT go unnoticed by her savior.

Inky, ghostly spectators began to swarm and swirl around them in a frenzied pattern… coming from the gentleman's fingertips… causing Sakura to gasp aloud. 'Magic? So that means that this man is not human as I initially thought. He is something else… but what?'

His power was overwhelming, causing the very breath in her lungs to be siphoned away. Sakura placed a hand on her throat and struggled to rise to her feet as the first man screamed in agony. As soon as she was up and able, she turned away from the scene and simply ran.

She was crashing through branches, the echo of pain still present in her eardrums, while she made her way swiftly down the face of a very steep hill. Her dress was torn and her skin was marked by small cuts and scrapes from the sharp, thick branches and thorns that surrounded her on all sides, but she ignored it all in favor of escape.

She was almost there when she came to a jarring stop. At her front was a jagged cliff overhanging a swirling vortex of doom with frothing sea water and pointy rocks. But at her back—

"Hey…," a strong, masculine voice called out to her, but in her frantic state, Sakura turned a little too quickly and soon found that her footing was pulled out from under her. She cried out as she fell backwards, but a firm hand grasped onto her own from above and her downwards momentum was suddenly stopped. She was dangling above the water and looked up to see the shadowy outline of a tall man… her hero had come to save her once again.

He pulled her up with little effort and helped to steady her on her feet, away from the cliff's edge, before he stepped out of her personal space. He was breathing hard, but so was she. When she had finally caught her breath, she had decided that a few words of gratitude were in order.

"I… Thank you, kind sir. I would surely have had a worse fate if it wasn't for your kindness and quick reflexes."

The moonlight was suddenly bright, shining high in the sky above then and allowing for strong light to filter across his handsome features. When her gaze shyly landed on him, she finally understood how he had been able to find her so fast and how he had been able to perform such "magical" feats from his hands.

A strong jawline…

… thin, pouty lips…

… an aristocratic nose…

… black eyes…

… and pointy ears—

'An elf…'

"It was no trouble, ma'am."

Somehow, she didn't doubt his words. Of course, dealing with a few drunken, ignorant humans would be no trouble for someone as skilled as himself. The pinkette was sure he could have easily taken them out with his eyes closed and his hands tied behind his back. Elves we're just that skilled in combat, among other things if rumor was correct.

"Regardless, I wish to give praise to your bravery. It was most appreciated indeed." He nodded before running his hand through his hair, the jet-black spikes of which lay in what appeared to be strategic disarray.

His onyx-colored eyes held onto hers for a moment, time seeming to pass by a little more slowly, before he spoke again. "What is your name, beautiful maiden?"

Sakura blushed at his choice of words and looked away. "It is Sakura. Sakura Haruno." He tested her name upon his tongue and it sent another thrill down her spine, her heart hammering wildly against her ribcage for the up tenth time that evening. "And you, kind gentlemen? What do they call you?"

He reached for her hand, pulling it up to brush his soft lips against her knuckles. "My given name is Sasuke. Sasuke Uchiha."

Sakura clamped her lips tightly shut as the memory faded and frowned, trying to hide her unease. "Yes, I remember him. What about it?"

The pair looked at one another once again before the first man spoke up, his voice deep and depleted of any form of emotion whatsoever. "Sasuke wishes to see you again…," he spoke with conviction. "Tomorrow in the town square at noon. Please be on time."

They started to turn away, but she halted them by saying, "…and what if I refuse, sir? What if I don't want to see him again?" The dark look in their eyes frightened her, but she tried not to show it and stood strong, with hands firmly on her hips.

"I don't think that would be wise," is all he said before they exited her home. Her parents stood at her back, unsure as to what to say. They had remained wholly inaudible for the entire conversation and she wondered why.

She turned and witnessed the sorrow in their expressions, as if they knew something that she didn't, but neither said a word as they also left the living room… leaving her alone with her thoughts for company.

The next day…

She was dressed in her finest (her mother's insistence) as she made her way leisurely to the town's square, smirking as she eyed the sun in the sky from her peripheral. 'Good, I'm at least an hour late. Maybe he has left by now; nope. I am not that lucky I see.'

She looked up to see the forms of three tall men, standing with their arms crossed over their muscular chests by the center's flowing fountain. She tried hard to hide her smile behind her hand fan but was almost certain they could see it anyway. One of them, the same one from yesterday with seemingly zero emotion, seemed a little exasperated.

'Serves you right, jerk,' she thought as she made her way to them, only stopping when she was just a few feet away. Sakura did not curtsy, nor did she show any other form of proper etiquette when greeting a man that a young woman of her position should, causing the other two (one of which was Sasuke himself) to smirk; though it was barely visible to the naked eye, unless you looked really, really closely.

She decided to go with the sweet approach first. "To what do I owe the pleasure of your company today, gentlemen." The one man, irritated as he was snarled at her.

"You are past the hour of our elected meeting time, little female." Sakura snorted and rolled her eyes before placing a hand on her hip, fluttering her fan with the other.

"You say that like it's supposed to be an insult, but I didn't see it that way, sir. Now, please answer my question," she lilted before her focus moved to Sasuke. He seemed to be enjoying her temperament a lot and it irked her a little, but she held firm and didn't show it; though the fluttering of her fan commenced anew…more frantic in its haste to dismiss the heat of the afternoon sun than it had been before.

Her hero stepped forward, his frame towering over her so much that she had to tilt her head to maintain eye contact with him. He reached behind his back, causing her eyes to narrow in curiosity and her pink eyebrows to pucker in the middle of her forehead.

When his hand reappears however, Sakura gasped at the sight before her. "W-what…," but she couldn't continue, for she was in too much shock to do so. He stretched his arm out further and nodded to her. She was hesitant to accept Sasuke's offering, believing it to be just a simple trick (after all the elven folk were known to be a little bit cheeky when it came to their interactions with other species that weren't their own) but as she stared deeply into his dark eyes, she knew what her answer would be.

"Here, a hibiscus flower for thee."

Slowly, she reached forwards and grasped the stem in her hand just below his own, holding onto it tightly as a bright blight began to bleed from its core, blinding her for a brief moment before everything turned dark and she collapsed into his waiting arms.

Sakura awoke just a few hours later, her body covered in a soft, silky comforter… while her back rested upon a rather plush mattress. She startled and sat upright quickly… her pink hair flinging around her frame as she glanced around her briefly, before her viridescent eyes landed on the figure standing beside the window. Sasuke didn't even glance at her and continued to stare out into the darkness beyond.

"You're awake," he stated simply; his voice deep, rich, and smooth as butter as it reached her ears. Sakura shivered involuntarily and cleared her throat.

"What happened?"

He turned to her then, his gaze more serious than she had ever seen it before. "Magic, from the flower. The binding of our contract."

"Oh," she whispered, eyes darting to the sheets as she bit her bottom lip. He walked to her side and sat on the edge of the bed, tilting his frame slightly to face her.

"You did know what it meant, right?" She tucked a strand of hair behind her ear before looking at him again. "… or did you not?"

"No, no. I did. I mean, I assumed." He looked at her with slight confusion and she continued. "I… I've heard stories of your kind and what… what the flower means to you."

"And you agreed… based on an assumption?"

"Not exactly. It… it's just hard to explain." He nodded and didn't press her any further, which she was thankful for. "I do have to ask, are the legends true?" He looked at her closely before responding.

"What have you heard about it, maiden?"

"Well… the hibiscus flower is said to be the most romantic flower that a man of stature can give a woman. To drink its sweet nectar… even just a small sip and to take a sample from its sweet, rosy-red blossoms is said to bring forth the most pleasurable experiences of your life. To be given one is a true gift… and a great honor."

'And I, Sakura Haruno, have just been given mine by none other than Sasuke freaking Uchiha, the hottest man that I, no elf… elf, I've ever seen.'

Sasuke nodded in agreement with her assessment. "That is all true. But there is more."

"Will you tell me," he looked at her and she held his gaze firmly. "Please." She watched his adam's apple bob before he spoke again, his voice deeper (and more sensual) than ever before.

"It is rare for a human to be given such a flower… from my kind. The elven clans, we all take the process and tradition of flower giving very seriously, Sakura. Do you understand what I am saying to you?" The pinkette nodded slowly and he continued. "It's not just for pleasure, it's a symbol of our mating." Her eyes widened slightly at this and a small gasp escaped her lips. 'Mating? Does that mean….'

As if he could read her thoughts, he nodded before moving into his explanation. "My clan especially is very notorious for being more selective when it comes to whom we will be allowed to mate with. We as Uchiha's must go before our higher council in order to ask them for permission once we have found someone that we fancy enough to mate with."

"… that means that you—"

"Yes…," he confirmed. "I did. When we met, I felt drawn to you, Sakura. I can't explain it exactly, I just knew I wanted you for myself and hoped to woo you afterwards. I hoped that when I talked to them, the council members, that they would agree right away."

Sakura was practically on the edge of her seat now. "They didn't, did they?" He shook his head in the negative… then sighed.

"I had to have my father discuss it with them first, before they finally (though reluctantly) agreed. Then I just had to pick my flower."

"How does that process work anyway?"

"It's fairly simple really…," he intoned as he crossed one of his legs over the other. Her eyes followed the movement and he smirked. "All you have to do is go to the forest and pluck a flower from what we call "the sea of roses". It is a little more treacherous than that though. We must fight our very souls in order to obtain it." She gasped, inadvertently leaning forward towards him.

"What do you mean… you fight your very soul? How does that even work exactly?"

"Well basically… if we don't have true, honest intentions in picking a flower from the forest, it will somehow know. I've had to bear witness to many unfortunate souls being slain for the wrong reasons; their intent in pursuit of a female for all of the wrong reasons. This isn't something to be taken lightly. If you have ill-will, you will pay with your life. Simple as that."

"Wow, that's… that is rough." She paused, biting her lip in contemplation. "Can it be women as well, going to pick a flower or is it just men?"

"No, women can go as well but with the same stipulations."

"Is it just an elf thing, or can let's say a human go as well."

"Humans, elves, werewolves… all matter of supernatural and non-supernatural beings can do this. It's just not as common for a human." He was extremely patient with her questions, answering all of them to the very best of his ability before she finally slumped back on the mattress, in complete awe of the whole situation.

"Wow, that is so much to take in, Sasuke."

"It is." He was smiling… though she couldn't exactly see it from her position on the bed… and he tried to wait for her to gather her thoughts, before he felt compelled to ask her a question of his own, "Tell me, Sakura… why did you say yes or agree to all of this in the first place? I know you said it was complicated… but I am curious. If you thought all of this was just a myth, why agree to it? I could have been trying to kill you or something instead."

'He has a point. Why did I agree?'

Sakura half-giggled. "The thrill?" But then she sat up and grew serious, tugging at the fabric beneath her fingertips and sighed. "I guess, I don't know. I wasn't happy with my life. I needed something different. And when I met you… I, I felt like there was something between us. I was scared of it at first, which is why after we exchanged names I just… ran off. Making excuses is kind of like my thing when I get a little nervous or scared… I'm sorry for doing that. I also ramble a lot, if you can't tell. But anyway, I guess… when I looked into your eyes, Sasuke, I felt safe, I felt at peace… I feel like I'm home. I've never actually had that anywhere, not even with my own parents. Don't get me wrong, I love them. But I always felt like the outcast, the weird one, like I never really belonged with them in the first place. Do you get it? Am I making any type of sense?"

He nodded and slowly reached for her hand. She let him take it and held on tightly. "I get it, Sakura. Truly." She felt a warmth start to bloom in her chest and without thinking, leaned up to kiss him on the cheek. Both of them blushed a little, but soon settled into a soft and light conversation as they got to know one another on a more personal level.

A month later…

He had spent a full month wooing her and now here they sat in her bedroom once more, ready to participate in the next step of their mating; the first tasting of the flower that he had chosen specifically for her.

"Are you sure you are ready for this, Sakura? We can wait longer if you wish?"

She stood before him in a silk night dress, the sheer fabric clinging to her every curve perfectly as she worried her lip between her teeth. Sakura was looking at him as he was looking down at her and all of her worries seemed to just… melt away. "I'm ready. Where do we start?"

He guided her to the bed and she sat down on the edge as he moved to a tiny table just to their right. "I will tell you the effects of this will hit you very quickly after ingesting them, so don't be too surprised and just go with what instinct tells you, okay," he said as he placed a glass on the nightstand followed by a small clipping from their flower's rosy petal.

She swallowed as he sat next to her and waited patiently for her to take the leap. Sakura went for the drink first, her nose brushing along the curve of the lip as she drew in a deep breath into her lungs. 'So, sweet,' she thought before opening her plump lips to the cup, tilting it upward until the liquidy contents within slid down the length of her throat as she swallowed. "Oh wow," she said in surprise as she put it back on the nightstand. "That was sweeter than I initially anticipated."

Sasuke nodded. "The taste is dependent upon the person who drinks it." The pinkette gave him a curious look, so he explained further. "Some find it sweet, some salty, some tangy, and some can even taste it as sour. It just depends on the individual themselves."

"Oh okay," she said, before reaching for the petal piece; it was the only thing left that separated her from pure, raw, and uninhibited pleasure. Her hand shook as she lifted it up to her lips, but he stopped her with a gentle hand. Her eyes met his—

"Are you sure?"

"Yes," she whispered. "I'm just… scared that it will hurt."

Sasuke brushed her cheek with his fingertips and planted a kiss to the middle of her forehead. "I will be as easy as I can and I will make sure you are fully ready to accept me." Sakura blushed at his choice of words, but nodded before placing the tiny petal on her tongue. Her eyes nearly went cross and she shivered, before falling into a coughing fit. "Why was the first one (cough) so sweet but this one is so (cough, cough) sour? I thought they were both supposed to have the same (cough) flavor!" He only chuckled as a response, while rubbing soothing circles on her back. She was about to give him an earful when a sudden wave of nausea struck her.

Sakura recoiled into herself, her hands flying to her mouth while she closed her eyes tightly. The man beside her said her name, but she ignored him as her head began to spin. She felt as if she was on the verge of passing out when it suddenly, abruptly stopped. She felt nothing for all of two seconds, and then—

The woman's pulse was pounding…

… her stomach twisting…

… a small bead of sweat dripping down her left temple…

… and her core, well it was clenching for a lack of a better word.

It took everything she had to keep her hands by her sides, the pull to just grab Sasuke and kiss him senselessly was growing steadily by the second. Then, she felt him nudging her with the tip of his nose and her nostrils began to flare. Sakura's scent was powerful, even for her as a human. It was both embarrassing but also exhilarating at the same time; who would have thought.

"Don't fight it, mi amor…," he breathed against the side of her throat, his tongue darting out to experimentally taste her flesh and she let out a low, needy moan. "Give in to your desires, Sakura. Feel it."

That was all it took before Sakura was throwing herself at him.

The couple wrestled for dominance as he peeled away her clothing (and she did the same), lips and tongues tangling together before he shoved her into the mattress. With her arms now fully pinned above her head, Sakura growled in frustration but soon released it, on a deep sigh, as Sasuke used his free hand to trace her curves. His thin lips pulled away from her plump ones and she moaned when he used them to suck on the pulsing vein at her throat.

Heat pooled in her belly as he drew closer to her center, his fully-erect cock pressing firmly against her thigh as he straddled one of her legs. "Sasuke, please," she groaned as impatience set in.

"Shh," he purred as his fingertips began to test the waters. "I told you, I will make sure you are ready first."

"But I am!"

"Are you not a virgin, mi amor?" Pause, deep blush pulling at her puffy cheeks, and her eyes darted to everything but him. "I promise you, we will get there, Sakura. But… I want to avoid hurting you as much as I possibly can. Let me do this for you."

Sakura caved, surrendering to his touch as he worked her into a passion-filled frenzy. When she had come a couple of times, he decided it was time. He moved to hover above her, one hand still firmly holding onto her wrists while the other moved one of her legs, spreading her wide open for his viewing pleasure.

Sasuke didn't hesitate for long before grasping his length by the base, then brought it up and into alignment with her entrance before slowly thrusting forward. He hissed as his tip entered her first, followed by the rest. When he hit her barrier, he didn't hesitate; knowing it would only make the pain of breaking her virginity that much worse and chose instead to distract Sakura by bringing one of her perky little nipples into his mouth.

The pinkette cried out (though he wasn't sure due to which part) and tugged at his hold on her wrists as she thrashed beneath him. When she called his name in that sexy tone, he felt all of the blood in his body rush straight to his groin. "S-Sakura," he panted before taking a long, deep breath. "You are so… tight. Fuck. Do you need me to—"

"N-no," she said with a shake of her head, eyes half-lidded but full of seriousness. "Please… d-don't stop." He nodded and slowly pulled back, inching out of her almost to the hilt before slowly sliding back again. They held eye contact as much as possible…only losing it when Sakura became too overwhelmed to keep hers open… and slowly he released his grip on her wrists in favor of holding her hips, allowing for Sakura to wrap her arms around his shoulders and legs around his waist.

"Oh… Ahh… t-this is—"

With one press of his thumb to her clit she came undone, vibrant greens rolling up and then back as she screamed his name in ecstasy. He couldn't hold back after that… the scent of her arousal and come, the sound of her voice, all of it sent Sasuke over the edge just seconds after the last little waves of desire finally began to settle within her.

He grunted his release before placing his hands next to her head to keep himself above her, his head dropping as beads of sweat dripped from every pore on his body. She used her fingertips to brush against his nap as she tried to catch her breath in the aftermath of their passionate love making. "That was… amazing."

"Hn."

"Sasuke," she started to ask, catching his attention as he leaned back slightly to look at her. "Will they always be like this? This… intense."

He smiled. "Probably, but they could grow more so as time passes. The closer we get to finishing off the flower… fully immersing ourselves in each other… as a fully mated pair should… could cause even stronger reactions from what I have been told. I guess we will find out."

She nodded her head and then bit at her bottom lip. "Hey, Sasuke? How long does this feeling usually last for?" He looked at her silently for a moment before responding.

"Are you still…?"

"… yeah…"

She blushed when he leaned in to kiss her, cheeks aflame as he moved them into a new position… with her on top. "I guess," he whispered as he pulled away with a smirk. "I'm up for another round, if you think you can handle it that is." His hands fell to her hips and he tilted his head slightly as he waited for her response.

She gave him a sideways smirk of her own before rocking her hips above him slowly. "Let's see who calls uncle first then, shall we." Sasuke laughed at this and rolled his eyes.

"I guess we shall indeed."
