9. Anything for you

Hey how goes it? I am currently writing this at 5am. Long story short I have decided I am done looking at this chapter. I ever so graciously have decided to bless this chapter and not cut the adorable SupCorp date. We all need it after that L we all took in the finale. So please do be aware you should probably brace yourself for the inevitable corny jokes this chapter. I hope at least one makes you smile or roll your eyes at how stupid it is. In fact I hope this story in general makes you happy to some degree. This chapter hops around a lot but in a cute way. Watch out for suspicious activity. Oh and I've been meaning to mention this for like the longest time now but I realized that I never gave Zara a face reference I guess you can call it. Sure you can continue on using ur imagination but I figured I'd tell you who I loosely based her off of. Dominique Provost-Chalkley. If you dont know who Dom is you do now and you will see that they are absolutely stunning and clearly a problem in this story being the somewhat visual of Lena's ex. Ik they're a brunette but just picture them as a silver blonde and a nice set of DDs. Either way it's your imagination and you picture the characters how you want to. I just thought I'd let you know what I see when I'm writing. This is worth mentioning because Dom has an accent and I figured so should Zara. Gotta add on to the tea we're all bathing in rn. Mostly I just needed a soft face for the brownie points later to be earned and when you see why it makes it hit home a little harder. Such a beautiful face to place in an unfortunate event. Plus it'd make sense as to why she always had tea ready for Lena back in the day. Kay that's it carry on.

Later that night Lena's POV

"So let me get this straight. You and Kara were out to breakfast and then suddenly your ex shows up unexpectedly after not seeing or speak to each other for years. Then she shows up to Cat's gala and went out of her way to make sure she outbid you for it by a good bit."

"Mind you Catco's net worth is only like seven hundred and seventy eight million so I set the bar ridiculously high at like five billion.."

"And she put out six or seven billion?"

"I'm still trying to figure out where the hell she pulled that out from."

"Well I guess to her there is no price on your heart." Smiled Sam sipping her wine.

"Eww no! She's about ten plus years too late to finally run a price check on my heart. She traded it for a piece of asphalt and I haven't been the same since. I have a new girlfriend who I adore to the moon and back. And now I have to deal with her probably whispering in Kara's ear when I'm not around about only god knows what. Bitch literally blackmailed me into going to a stupid dinner with her on Monday."

"Lena!?? What does she have on you?" Asked Sam very concerned.

"She knows Kara is the center of my world and she knows I'd do anything for her. And that means making sure Kara is happy and knowing she's having a great time at Catco. That's her dream job and Zara has decided to use that as her vantage point."

"She's gonna fire Kara if you don't go on this date huh?" I let out a sigh and took a long sip of my wine.

"Yup."

"That's fucked up!"

"It is but it's so fucking smart. She knows if she didn't put me in such a position I'd never talk to her. I want to be mad, which I am, but I'm impressed with how much trouble she's gone through just to even look at me."

"Well you are really pretty."

"Oh hush. I'm only out to impress one person and she's off somewhere with her sister and their friends." Me and Kara spent most of today together but eventually like usual justice called and my girlfriend went off to go do what she does best. On her way she dropped me off here at Sam's. Ideally I'd go with them but they all insisted I take tonight off after last night's incident.Really it was Kara worried that I might get hurt. I didn't protest because I need to vent and that's what Sam is for.

"Why didn't you go with her? Don't like her friends?" I let out a small laugh.

"No, they're delightful. Ever since Kara found out I have to go to dinner with Zara she's been by my side at every turn. Not only that but I am exhausted. We've been going at it all weekend and she is a fiend. I severely underestimated her stamina. Round after round and she never once showed signs of fatigue. If Alex didn't call her we'd probably still be having sex. It's insane! It is a miracle I'm even up right now. But it's not a complaint."

"Well that explains why I didn't get a text back."

"I could barely get a second to catch my breath. Besides, if you've seen Kara naked you'd see why it's hard for me to focus on anything but her when she's naked." I nodded sipping my wine and thinking of my girlfriend naked. I can't wait to go home now. By the time we finish this bottle of wine I'll definitely be all over her on the trip home.

"I'm glad y'all finally figured it out. It was torture sitting watching you two blantently flirting in front of me. It's like everyone knew except you two."

"Well there was just a lot we had to work through before we got to where we are now. We hit our lowest low together and we came back out of it together. And that's why I am absolutely dreading Monday night. I'm with Kara and it's like Zara couldn't give two shits.. no. That's a lie she only cares I'm with Kara because she needs her as leverage."

"Maybe you should hear Zara out. All I'm saying is if she went through all this trouble just to get you to have dinner with her."

"I've nothing to say to her. What are we gonna recap how she cheated on me?"

"Maybe there is more to it that we don't know."

"There's nothing deeper than that. She made her choice and we've to live with it. If you ask me I think it was a terrible business move on her part just so she can force me to have dinner with her."

"But at least it'll be a free meal."

"I can buy my own meals and I've a gorgeous girlfriend who'll willingly cook for me when I ask. I've no use for a free meal from her of all people."

"Well it seems you're just gonna have to suck it up and go. You gotta for Kara." I let out a sigh and sipped my wine again.

"She's so lucky I am completely smitten with her and want nothing but the best for her because I'd pull some strings and start an entirely new branch of L-Corp so she'll still be able to report on stuff."

"Why don't you just do that?"

"Because Kara is stubborn and Cat threatened to kill me if I keep Kara from her job at CatCo."

"I still can't believe Cat is just up and leaving her company."

"Me either but she did. And she left it in terrible hands."

"Why don't you just conveniently get kidnapped on Monday. Or like something bad happens at L-Corp that forces you to have to miss it." That caught my attention.

"That's a terrible idea. Pretty low of me to guarantee I get out of something I don't want to do.. it just might work.."

"Well I'd need to find a babysitter for Ruby, but I will gladly viciously kidnap you, then shoot out the windows of your office." She smiled sipping her wine.

"Done and done. I'm willing to bet Kara would gladly babysit if it means I won't be having dinner with my ex."

"Wait are you being serious?"

"Yeah. I don't care to listen to whatever my cheating ex has to say. I've no desire to even entertain the thought that I now have to live in the same city as her."

"You sure know how to hold a grudge."

"It's in my blood. But I think I've every right to still be mad at the person who broke my heart. I was full on ready to marry that girl. Anything she wanted I would've given it to her. I gave her my entire world and she destroyed it. Took me forever to fix it. And now that I've found Kara I can't be bothered with a former flame. She's my perfect little pet and I don't want to do anything to put that in jeopardy."

"Seems Zara really has you in a vice huh?" I let out a sigh and took another sip of my wine.

"I have to do what's best for Kara. Her happiness means more to me than my own misery. If I have to suffer through one dinner to guarantee her happiness then I'll do it. I'll do it for her."

"Does Kara know-"

"Nope. I just feel it's best she doesn't know her boss is using her to get to me. Ugh god she's so pure. She is so dead set on getting Zara to like her. Cutie made me tell her all of Zara's favorite things so she can try and get in her good graces. And it hurts my heart knowing she's trying so hard when in reality it won't even matter if I decide to not go to this dinner."

"Oh my god you are in love."

"What?!"

"All I've heard this entire conversation is you just admitting to me that you love Kara."

"No I'm explaining to you the reason why if you get a call from the police station about me being arrested for murder you'll know why. And I kindly ask that you come bail me out."

"A crime of passion. Love does make you do crazy things."

"No passion just me protecting my future."

"Lena and Kara sitting in a tree! K-I-S-" I threw a pillow at her before she could even finish.

"Shut up or you'll be first to die." I warned making her laugh.

"If you do, propose to Kara at my funeral so I can see it before I go."

"And now I have to kill you." I smiled looking at her before I began to hit her with a pillow. Once I felt I attacked her enough we settled on watching some movies. Just hanging out together the way we always do.

"Yes I am here to pick up my girlfriend from daycare. I'm pretty sure this is where I dropped her off. Her name is Lena. Have you seen her?" I heard before Kara emerged into the room Sam not too far behind. Ahh such a pretty sight for my eyeballs.

"Yeah this is the right place."

"Well hello there cutie! How was your play date?" Asked Kara coming to stand behind me. I simply sat back in the couch and looked up at her.

"Good." I smiled looking up at her. She took that as a cue to bend over and give me a kiss. "Hi pretty!" Shes so gorgeous and I am so glad to see her. The wine has sunk in and I need to have sex with her or I'm gonna die.

"How many glasses of wine have you had?" She chimed, patting my cheek.

"One."

"We each only had one glass all night." Added Sam backing me up. I just nodded in agreement.

"Well good thing neither of you are driving anywhere I suppose. But are you ready to go Le?"

"Noo! We're in the middle of a movie. Can we finish the movie first?" I pouted batting my eyes at her. I dunno what color they are but regardless I know they'll work on her. She can't resist me.

"Yeah! Stay and finish the movie!"

"Fine." Yay! I then watched as my girlfriend took off her jacket and set it on one of the chairs at the table. She then came around and sat next to me on the couch. "What are we watching?" Naturally I grabbed her head and pulled it into my chest.

"Shrek two."

"Missed you." I murmured kissing her on the head.

"Babe!" She groaned trying to pull away but I'm not letting her go.

"Mine. All mine." So so happy to see her.

"Kay. I can't see the movie like this." Murmured Kara pulling herself from my grasp and sitting back up. She then grabbed my cheeks to face her. "You are not sober." Then she gave me a kiss.

"Correct I am Lena." She rolled her eyes before giving me another kiss. To my demise she then let me go and turned her attention back to Sam.

"How come every time I leave you two alone you both end up drunk?"

"Cause not everyone has a regular nine to five. We're business owners. Shits stressful."

"Amen!" I added because she's right. "Plus wine is yummy."

"Exactly." Sam then picked up her glass prompting me to do so as well. We then clinked glasses and took a sip. It was here she hit play on the movie and we went back to watching it. At this point I'm not at all interested in the movie anymore. The cute blonde next to me is way more interesting. Cuddling into her side, she naturally put her arm around me. It's something about being in her strong arms that sends me.

"You ok?" She whispered softly in my ear. All I did was give her the most innocent pout I could, earning me a kiss.

"Mine?" I asked placing my hand on her thigh.

"Yours." She nodded before turning back to the movie. That's fine because her neck is looking pretty tasty to me. Fuck it! Leaning in I started to place kisses on her neck. I'd give her hickies but the bracelet isn't activated so it'd be futile to try. However it won't keep me from biting on her anyway. I can tell it's doing something because she is starting to squirm around.

"I'm not going to lie I think Shrek is more attractive as an ogre than as a human." Spoke Sam. I'd respond but I'm too busy sucking on my girlfriend's neck.

"Honestly I agree but at the same time I don't know if I'd be down for eating bugs and onions for the rest of my life." Added Kara.

"What about me? Are you down to eat me for the rest of your life?" I asked with a smile getting them both to look at me. Kara then looked back at Sam before looking back at me.

"Yes I am." Good answer. With that I pulled her in for a kiss.

"Ew! Look if you guys are gonna have sex on my couch please give me a warning so I can go."

"Never that I-"

"Good night Sam."

"No! No don't go we-"

"Might get a little frisky but you're welcome to watch." I nodded making my way into Kara's lap.

"Le we-" I didn't let her finish because we need to be making out right now.

"Chesus Christ Lena she just got here! Let her settle in before you jump her bones."

"Wine is an aphrodisiac and now that my sex partner is here I have to engage." I explained before going back to kissing on Kara's neck.

"This is why I gave her a limit of two glasses of wine. Which she clearly did not follow." As she said the last part she pushed me away from her neck.

"Hey?!"

"Well in our defense we got caught up in the tea and before we knew it we were in too deep to stop drinking." This is just reminding me to turn her bracelet back on. I hate not having my way.

"MOOM! I'M HOME!" Called out as the front door slammed shut.

"In here baby!" Sam spoke back before turning back to us. "Not in front of Ruby." She warned. Good thing I love my niece and I don't need her seeing the sin me and Kara are going to commit when we get home. So I reluctantly moved off Kara's lap but I did make sure to cuddle back up to her. She's bound to find out we're finally dating eventually.

"Did I see aunt Kara's car outside?"

"Yes you did!" Chimed Kara as Ruby came into view.

"And aunt Lena!"

"Hi my precious gem stone." I smiled as she came up to me and hugged my head.

"Feels like I haven't seen you guys in so long." Ruby then let me go and moved to hug Kara.

"I know. Last I saw you, you were just learning to walk. I remember you chased me down the hall. I was scared for my life." Chuckled Kara.

"Oi that must mean you are old as dirt then."

"I guess so. Promise not to check me into a retirement home?"

"Nonsense, we'll just live out our retirement in a villa on the countryside somewhere in Greece." I suggested resting my chin on Kara's shoulder.

"Will there be room for one more?" Asked Sam.

"Of course. Three's a party."

"No! No ma you can't leave me. If you go I'm going with you." Ruby then moved and hugged her mom. Awe I can't wait to have my own daughter or son. One day hopefully and I hope I'll still be cuddled up to this cutie. Really this is making me want to go home even more and procreate with my girlfriend. "I need all three of you. I'd be so lost."

"Then I guess we can all go." I shrugged.

"Sounds good."

"How was the movie?" Asked Sam.

"It was so dumb. Nothing at all how I expected it to go and I was not pleased. Totally a waste of my time." Ruby sighed coming to stand in front of us.

"What movie did you see?" Asked Kara.

"Paper Towns. It was so dumb!"

"That the one with the really hot model in it right?"

"Yes and it was probably the only exciting part of the movie. Now mind you she's only in it for like twenty minutes throughout the entire movie then runs away. Then the next hour of the movie is homeboy searching for wherever she went. Then he finds her and she straight up regects him like… what the fuck?!"

"Watch your mouth!"

"Sorry mom. But I'm just saying it was a waste of my time. I mean I guess the ending makes sense but at the same time it doesn't. They didn't even kiss, nothing. I would rather have just watched Twilight for the billionth time."

"Well at least he knows how to chase all the pretty girls. Maybe-"

"Alright you've called her pretty twice now. Calm down or you'll be chasing me too." I warned because what's her big obsession with Cara Delevigene anyway. She has me and I'm way cooler than her. That got Kara to smile and kiss me on the forehead.

"You know you're my best baby. I'm sorry I didn't mean anything by it, I just don't know her name besides the fact that she has really pretty eyes and is a model." And after that I let out a huff before letting go of Kara and started to move away from her. "No! No! No! No! No! Hey come on. Baby I'm sorry you're the most beautiful woman in the entire universe." I rolled my eyes and folded my arms. She then reached for my arm but I smacked it away.

"Why don't you go chase the girl with pretty eyes who's a model." I sassed letting her know she's in trouble.

"Wait. Are you two finally dating?"

"Not anymore."

"Yes we are. She's just a little tipsy and being a brat. That's how I know she likes me. But if we're not dating you won't be upset if I go chase the other girl with pretty eyes right?"

"Chase her and you'll lose both your legs." Kara smiled and then turned back to the girls.

"See, we're perfectly happy."

"Honestly it's about time. And I just won ten bucks." Ruby smiled turning to her mother. "I'll accept it in cash or in coins."

"You guys made a bet?!"

"Yup. She bet me that you two wouldn't realize you both are hopelessly in love until Christmas but I said it'd be sooner than that. Here we are near the end of summer and you both are two teenagers in love." Smiled Ruby placing her hand over her heart. Are we really that transparent?

"What did you think I meant when I said not in front of Ruby?!" Sam ranted clearly upset she lost.

"I thought you meant not to mount her." I shrugged because it was the most logical thing.

"Well it doesn't matter now because I'm out ten bucks."

"What a beautiful end to my day. Anyway if you excuse me I'm going to go make a frame for the ten bucks I will gift to you both on the Danvers-Luthor or Luthor-Danvers wedding day hopefully next year. personally I like Luthor-Danvers but it's whatever you both decide together. Either way it's beautiful to me."

"Yeah. Good night kid." Sam spat with attitude.

"I love you momma!" Ruby then started violently placing kisses on her mom's face before turning to us. "And I love you both two. Quite honestly I'm just excited about having not one, not two, not three, but four queer aunts. I'm going to have the best Christmas presents."

"You get nothing for Christmas!" I belted out.

"Just text me what you want for Christmas and I'll most likely get it for you. Nothing crazy though." Added Kara making me hit her. "Owe!"

"She's profiting off of our relationship."

"Nah-uh! Didn't you hear her? She's gonna give us that profit if we get married. All we gotta do is get married and we're guaranteed ten bucks. I don't know about you but that'll be the easiest ten bucks I've ever earned In my entire life." All I could do was stare at her as she's staring at me. Getting married to Kara Danvers for ten bucks? Not like I'd need it but it could be fun becoming a Danvers. Well actually it's Kara Zor-El. So technically I'd become Lena Zor-El. Lena Zor-El Luthor. Lena Luthor Zor-El? LZEL? Double L ZE? LZE? LLD? LDL? Wait no. No the world can't exactly know Kara is a Zor-El.. at least not yet. So it'd have to be Danvers. I have always said I hate being a Luthor but at the same time I love it. Hmm maybe I should take on my mother's maiden name as well? I dunno I'm going to have to decide on which signature would look the best on paper.

"Awe! They're having a moment! Look at them! You guys are so cute I can't even!" Chimed Ruby snapping me out of my thoughts and apparently Kara too.

"I bet you they'll be engaged by this time next year." Spoke Sam looking at Ruby.

"No!" I groaned grabbing a pillow and throwing it at her. "Stop betting on my love life!"

"I bet ten bucks." Added Kara. So it was only right I punched her in the arm.

"Shut up! All of you stop it!"

"Oh really? Because your face is cherry red right now." Sassed Ruby putting her hands on her hips getting them all to look at me. Fuck! I simply let out a groan before sinking into the couch and lifting the blanket over my head. "So engaged by this time next year aye?"

"I hate all of you!" I spoke still hiding.

"We'll discuss this later. You need to get to bed. You have school tomorrow."

"I suppose so. Goodnight auntie. I love you." And then the blanket was being pulled off my head and Ruby gave me a kiss on the forehead. "I'd be a terrible niece if I didn't give you gray hairs." Despite this all I do love this child.

"I love you too. But get away from me before I bite you." Ruby giggled before placing the blanket back over my head.

"Goodnight AK. You make sure you don't let her get away because I'd be forced to spend your almost wedding gift on quinoa."

"Will you at least share some with me?"

"No. No not likely."

"That's messed up."

"Well it'd be messed up for you to mess up with her." It was here I started to peek out the blanket only to see them both looking at me.

"This is true. Very well kid. You have yourself a deal." They then shook hands before Ruby leaned in and kissed Kara on the head.

"I'll text you." Ruby then moved to be standing in front of her mother. "So are we going to the bank before or after school tomorrow?"

"If you don't get out my face." Warned Sam reaching out to grab her daughter. It was futile as Ruby dodged it and moved behind us.

"Love you. Bye!" And then she disappeared off towards her room I suppose.

"Hahaha she's great!" Chuckled Kara.

"If you want you can have her six days a week. I'll take her on Tuesdays."

"That can work. We can see how good of parents we'd be."

"I reckon as long as y'all don't abandon her you're already doing great."

"That's true. Lee?" And then I'm being poked. "Hey?" I peeked my eyes out to look at her. Kara is truly such an attractive woman. "Hey there pretty eyes. You ready to go home?"

"I am home." She simply scooted closer to me and put her arm around me.

"I know. But don't you wanna come home with me. I'll drive us there you know. We can hold hands and sing the whole ride there. Stopping for food is a must on the way."

"Can I get a milkshake?"

"You can have whatever you like as long as it's off the dollar menu. Then we can go snuggle up in bed and read a book and maybe we'll have a little sex. I dunno we'll see. But you're really beautiful so we most likely will." I do really want to have sex with her too.

"Okay." I murmured softly. I can't say no to those eyes. They suck me in every time.

"You wanna do that?" I nodded. And then she placed a kiss on my forehead. "Kay. Well Sam thank you for babysitting my baby. I'll take you for lunch one of these days."

"That's fine with me. Just give me a time and place." It was here Kara stood up and moved over to where she put her coat.

"Will do. Le where's your purse, Petal?" She asked as she put her coat on and picked up mine.

"Somewhere in the kitchen." I kinda just sat it down somewhere when I came in.

"Kay." After a moment of looking around the kitchen Kara must've found it and moved to go grab it off the counter by the sink. She then moved it to the center island counter before coming over to me. "Ready to go?" As she asked that she held out her hand to take. "Wait, shoes. Where are your shoes?"

"By the door."

"Okay. To the door we go." Kara is such a doll. At this point I'm just mindlessly following her directions. Taking my girlfriend's hand I stood up. It wasn't until I stood up that I really felt just how tipsy I am. Perhaps I should've stopped at one glass of wine. At the same time venting all my issues tonight really helped put everything into perspective for me. I know what I need to do to protect this beautiful creature in front of me. I definitely don't deserve how good she is to me but in moments like this I think that I do. Kara is such a dream, I'm still confused on how it is she has ex's. She then opened my jacket and held it so I can put it on. I'm not used to being this codependent so when she started to button up my jacket I couldn't help but to swoon.

"Thank you." I murmured trying my hardest to hide the blush on my face.

"No problem." And then I got a kiss on my lips.

"Can y'all be any more bleh?" Asked Sam pretending to throw up.

"Yes we can. You asked for this. You literally paid ten bucks to see this." I ranted because I'm still surprised she bet on my love life.

"She's got a point."

"That's true. You guys are really cute together. I mean it. Never thought I'd be saying that to my two best friends but here we are."

"It's been a long time in the making. But it's been way overdue. I like to think we're very happy together. Right Lee?" Somehow Kara's hand found mine and she's holding it tight. I want nothing more than to kiss and grind my body against hers. I dunno why she's being such a gentlewoman to me right now but it's turning me on.

"Very." That got Kara to flash me a big toothy grin before leaning in to kiss me. It's not the first time we've kissed but why do I have butterflies right now? Or do I need to throw up? Hmm.

"Spent so long just watching each other. It's nice to finally get to feel each other. But we'll get out of your hair now. I bet you're tired of this little brat tearing up the place." Kara smiled looking at Sam while motioning to me.

"I'm not a brat!" I sassed folding my arms only making them both laugh.

"Exhibit A."

"She is National City's princess of science."

That's the queen of science." I corrected.

"Yeah queen!" Added Kara backing me up.

"Oh excuse me then. Sheesh!"

"Alright but we're really leaving this time. We got work in the morning." Sam then stood up as well prompting us all to head towards the door. This was sweet because Kara grabbed my purse off the counter as we walked past it. She even helped put my shoes on.

"You two drive safely and one of you text me when you get home." Spoke Sam hugging me and then Kara.

"I will try but I can't promise anything." I shrugged. The moment we get inside we are going to have sex. It's inevitable.

"Well try to remember." Sam then opened the door.

"You have our locations so if we forget you'll still know."

"That is true. Kay, now get out of my house."

"Bye!"

"See you later."

"Sleep good friends."

"We won't be doing much sleeping tonight." I smiled as Kara lead us out the house towards the door and towards her car.

"Sex before marriage is a crime!" Yelled Sam after us.

"I'm a Luthor. I'm above the law!" I yelled back.

"Terrible!"

"Love you!"

"Love you too Le." She called back before closing the door. Turning my attention back to my Kara, she opened the passenger side door for me.

"In you go."

"You're so pretty." I smiled looking at her.

"The same can be said about you. But get in I'm really hungry."

"I got something for you to eat." I purred getting in her face.

"I bet you do. Now let's go home so I can eat it." Fair enough. Giving her a small kiss I got in the car. I watched as Kara closed my door then got in herself and started the car. "Ready to go?" I simply grabbed her right hand and held it.

"Ready." And from there we took off home to have sex.

Monday morning, Kara's POV

"Okay bye baby." Giving my girlfriend one last kiss I got out the car.

"Text me when you get up there so I know you are safe." She spoke after me.

"I will. And you text me when you get to your lab."

"I will. Have a good day Blue." I then gave her one last kiss as I took the cup holder from her. Today I decided to be the gopher. I got Lena her usual morning tea as I always do. Then I got Nia an iced coffee, Zara a green tea, and a vanilla latte for me. I am very determined to get Zara to like me. I don't exactly know if she'll even drink this tea I got her but Lena says it's one of her favorites so I reckon she will. If she doesn't well it's the thought that counts.

"I'll do my best. You do the same."

"I woke up to you this morning, so I already am." She purred flashing me a sultry smile. Instead of letting our alarm wake her this morning I figured I'd wake her with some head. It appeared that was a really good idea, and well we both are coming down off our highs. It's a wonder we were able to separate in time to get to work and not be late. It's taking a lot out of me leaving her when I want to cuddle with her. "I'll be back to take you to lunch okay?"

"Can we have grilled cheese and tater tots?"

"Anything you want baby." Smiling, I leaned in and gave her one more kiss.

"Alright. I'll see you for lunch." She smiled and then closed the door after me. Like always she rolled the window down and so we can say our goodbyes. I know we're only going to be apart for a little bit but my heart aches for her. We spent all weekend together and now that I have to leave her I don't want to. We literally spent all weekend basically having sex and she's all that's on my mind. She finally let me taste her and I am obsessed. Not like I wasn't before, it's just a lot stronger now. I truly have fallen for this woman and I can't believe I've been holding it in for four years now. This weekend only solidified it and I'm completely okay with that.

"I wouldn't miss it for the world. Mostly because I can just fly us to a new world and we can live there afterwards. We both can have secret identities and be like the most badass bitches on that planet." That got her to let out a giggle. She has the most beautiful smile. It was only right I went in for another kiss. Dammit I don't wanna be without her.

"You are such a weirdo. Get up there before you're late."

"Okay I.." I had to bite my tongue here. It's too early in the morning. "I'll see you at noon sharp."

"Noon sharp." She then blew me a kiss which I happily caught and put it to my cheek. She flashed me a smile before nodding towards the building. That means to go inside so she can go. Ever since we started dating whenever she drops me off she never drives off until I'm completely inside of wherever I'm going. That being said I reluctantly turned on my heels and went inside. Looking back I made eye contact with her one last time before she rolled up the window and drove off. Ugh she's so perfect. Flashing my ID badge as I do I made my way upstairs. First stop Nia. Getting to her desk she seems to be doing something on her phone.

"Coffee?" I chimed putting her coffee in her face.

"Oh my goodness thank you!" She smiled immediately dropping her phone and taking the cup from me. "You are my hero."

"I take it you didn't sleep well last night?" She just gulped like half the drink.

"No. Me and Brainy were up all last night. I was trying to explain to him Star Wars."

"Ooh that's like one of the greatest movie series ever."

"Right? And you know him tried to make sense of it all. Then he had to prove to me that it's not at all possible it could be real."

"It's a movie."

"He doesn't understand movies just yet. But he's trying his best and I love him regardless."

"I love him too. Especially since I beat him in Connect Four."

"Staaap because we sat playing that as we watched. If I see another small red plastic disk I'm gonna kill myself." To that I laughed.

"My victory brought you insanity and brought me sex."

"Ooh?!"

"Me and Lena spent more time in bed than we did out of it. I just can't seem to keep my hands off her. I'm obsessed."

"I'd say I'm surprised but I'm not. When I first met you both I was for sure you guys were fucking but then Alex clearfied it all to me. If anything I'm just surprised it took you till this weekend to get to it." That made me blush a little. Were our feelings for each other that obvious?

"Well it was sure worth the wait. She's got one helluva tongue. And what she can-"

"Kara I'm happy you're happy but I don't want to know what goes on in your guy's bedroom. I love you though." She smiled placing her hand on mine. Eh she's a point I don't want to get too into my thoughts about Lena because I'll never get any work done today until I see her next.

"I love you to Nia. Anyway I'm going to go try and sweet talk our new boss. Hopefully she'll give me a decent article to work on."

"Good luck." Nodding I took in a deep breath before walking to her office. She's in there at her desk looking over paperwork. It's still such a strange sight not seeing Cat sitting there. It's a big change but I will get used to it. I have to. I really wish it were still Cat but I know she's off living her life and I love that for her. At the same time I also wish it were Lena sitting there. The idea of waking up with her, eating breakfast with her, coming up here to work with her, and getting to sit at my desk and stare at her all day everyday felt so real I didn't know it was a dream. So when I found out Zara is my new boss I was low key heartbroken. Now it's just really weird to think that my Lena used to be with my boss the same way she is with me. Everytime I look at Zara I can see exactly why Lena dated her. She's beautiful and has the most enchanting brown eyes that I'm sure could convince the devil to go back to heaven. Not only that but she's got a little bit of an English accent. It's not bold but in most words she says you can hear it. Zara is definitely an interesting person until I remember how dumb she is for letting Lena slip through her fingers the way she did. Yet I'm happy she let it happen because now Lena is mine. Lena belongs to me and I know I've her full attention. She's made it more than clear I'm the woman she wants, so I have no doubts at all in befriending Zara. I mean would I hangout with her outside of work? No. Do I want her anywhere near my Lena? Not really. Don't get it confused I'm not at all intimidated by her because I know Lena and she holds grudges so there's no way she'd go back to Zara. And even on the slightest chance Lena would even entertain that thought it's going to take a very very long time for Zara to gain her full trust back. Hell I sometimes still feel like Lena doesn't completely and totally trust me and we're dating. Really I'm sure that's just all in my head. If Lena didn't trust me I don't think she'd insist I cuddle with her before bed every night.

I'm confident when it comes to Lena and I. So with that I knocked on the door. She immediately looked up and waved me in.

"Good morning Kara."

"Good morning Zara. I have to say I certainly do enjoy that rhyme."

"It must be fate that I ended up here then." She smiled.

"It must be because when I was getting my morning latte they weirdly gave me a green tea. So I figured I'd see if you wanted it." I suggested taking the tea out the cup holder as I walked up to her desk and held it out for her.

"Was it weird or did you order it?" She asked with an all knowing voice. I can't let her know this is a bribe.

"Weird. The guy at the coffee place we go to has a thing for me so he's always blessing me with drinks I don't need." Zara let out a small chuckle taking the tea from me.

"Well then I'll gladly accept your flirty tea." Awesome!

"Great because I'd hate to see another Boston tea party." I smiled hoping she gets the joke.

"I mean it was kinda fun being rebellious."

"Give me liberty or give me death, right." As I said that she sipped the tea and started to giggle.

"This is delicious. Did you add sugar to this?"

"Stevia." She let out another chuckle whilst shaking her head.

"Well you nailed it. Order it just like this next time you do." Damn it.

"I will let Dan know next I go in there. You know because he randomly gave it to me like that."

"Right."

"Oh and I also got you a banana." I smiled reaching in my satchel and bringing out a banana. Lena said it was important that Zara has some sort of fruit with her tea. Not sure why it's important but I guess you gotta eat something for breakfast. This got her to softly giggle a bit as she took the banana.

"Wow. Cat really must've had you whipped huh?"

"Spent four years being her assistant. Every morning it was the same decaf light low fat cream and sugar with a shot of rum. Then some days I'd surprise her with a danish or a scone. Of course she'd yell at me for getting it but she always hid and ate it at some point in the day. I guess it's hard to break a routine like that."

"Ahh well I don't require you be my drink wrangler every morning. I actually am in the search for an assistant since I had to leave my old one back in Gotham. But I suppose you could be a stand in until I find one? You know that is if you want to."

"Is this your weird way of trying to hang out with me?" I grinned making sure to bat my eyes.

"No harm in getting to know one of my top reporters right?" See I knew I could win her over. Just needed a little shove.

"I'd like to get to know who I'm working for now. So I accept your friend request." I then used my hand to pretend like I was doing a mouse click.

"Great! So what's on your agenda today? What do you do here in a day?" Hmm maybe I can find a good balance here. Only way to find out is to carry on being nice. Hmm I also just remembered I need to text my girlfriend to let her know that I made it up here safely.

"First I usually settle in and check my emails. Then I go through my answering machine in case I missed any calls which usually I don't. Then by that time Cat usually holds a small debriefing where she talks about what she wants done or researched. Since I was her most trusted she always made me stay after and we'd chat for a bit. But at the same time it mostly turned into a pointless banter that ends in her firing me for making sense of her nonsense spiel. After that I'd go back to my desk and start working on whatever article I-" It was here I felt my phone buzzing in my pocket. It's rapidly buzzing so I've a phone call. I'm making good with my boss so I let it ring. Besides I'm willing to bet it's just Lena being her normal overprotective self trying to yell at me for not texting her. "Was given and picked up-"

"Supergirl we gotta run." I heard from behind me. Turning to see, Nia is staring at me nodding towards the tv behind Zara. On one of the monitors apparently there is a bank robbery in progress. In broad daylight though? It was here my phone started buzzing again meaning that it must be justice calling. For fucks sake! It's not even nine thirty in the morning yet. Ugh! It would be whilst I'm trying to make good with my boss. How to get out of this situation…

"P-picked up.. ugghh.. up umm.. mmm.." I murmured faintly sounding as if I'm getting light headed.

"Woah! Kara are you okay?" The only excuse I can think of is to fake sick. That being said I gagged.

"Yeah I-"

"Woah you are-"

"I'll be back!" I spoke quickly placing the cup holder down on her desk and booking it out of her office. Nia is long gone so it's best I catch up. Going into the bathroom I changed and took flight to wherever trouble is brewing.

Supergirl's POV

"What's going on?" I asked as I'm flying towards where the bank is.

"It's a hostage situation at the bank. I'm hacking into the buildings security to get you a count of how many bad guys." Replies surprisingly Lena.

"Lena?! I thought you said you were going to the lab." I asked because if she's on comms that must mean she's in the tower.

"I did. I just never specified which one just like you never checked in to let me know you got upstairs ok." Oof there it is.

"I'm sorry I got distracted. Dreamer can vouch for me."

"I can confirm." Spoke Nia having my back.

"Now isn't a time for a couples quarrel. Not whilst civilian lives are in danger." Interrupted J'onn. It was here I got to the bank. I decided to land on top of it so the robbers don't know we're here. That and because that's where the rest of my team is.

"Supergirl after we finish here I'd like to formally challenge you to a game of Connect Four." Spoke Brainy.

"No! No more of that game. I'm sick of it." Whined Dreamer making me laugh.

"Are you sure you're healed from the butt kicking I gave you Friday?" I teased.

"Lena how's it coming on your end?" Asked Alex as she's standing looking over the edge of the building.

"I've fully healed and I've calculated every way to win based off of every slot you place your first piece. I cannot and will not have my butt beaten again."

"If that's what you want." I shrugged because I know I can beat him again.

"I'm in. Looks like there are two, four, five robbers. All of which are armed with guns. It seems they've stupidly made it obvious they're the robbers. They are all dressed as Baseball Furies so it shouldn't take long to take them all out."

"Like from the movie?" Asked J'onn.

"Yep, it's ridiculous I know. I swear these criminals just get dumber and dumber. There are about seven hostages and one of them is a child. They have all the hostages behind the counter so it'd probably be best to enter undetected."

"Can you cut the power from your end?" I asked.

"How about I drop a smoke bomb and then J'onn and Supergirl can run in snag the hostages and then we can bust in there and kick some wannabe gang member ass." Suggested Alex coming back towards us.

"Good idea but they have the hostages gathered in one corner with three of the guys aimed at them. It's too risky a plan."

"Are they willing to negotiate?" Asked Dreamer.

"It doesn't sound like they want to talk. I can hear two of them filling duffel bags as we speak." I answered being I'm listening to what's going on inside.

"Well the place is surrounded and I didn't see a get away car."

"I saw it on my way over so I took the spark plug." Added Brainy showing us the spark plug.

"Ahh so they're just sitting ducks."

"Basically. I guess the best plan of action is to wait for them to realize that and then we get them." Reasoned Alex.

"I don't know about you guys but we don't exactly have that kind of time on our hands." I spoke fairly urgently between me and Dreamer being we are the only two with normal nine to five day jobs in the group. "Right now Zara thinks I'm throwing up in the bathroom."

"Well does anyone have any other plan?" Asked J'onn.

"I think I can talk some sense into them. I've done it several times before." I'm really good at convincing people when I need to.

"No way! Every time you show up bad guys immediately start to shoot at you." Protested Lena. Awe it's so cute how protective she is of me.

"Doesn't matter, I'm bulletproof. I'll be fine."

"Yeah you will, but not the civilians from the bullets that ricochet off you." Added Alex.

"I guess our only option is to pick them off one by one." Suggested Dreamer.

"Looks like it."

"I can cut the power but you guys will have probably five minutes or less before the backup generators kick in." Spoke Lena.

"Sounds good. Dreamer can you project in there and get a lay out of the building?" Alex asked.

"Kk." Dreamer then went limp letting us know she's inside. When that happened there were a few shots fired before she came back. "So they are not happy we're here. But I did see an emergency exit behind one of the robbers. So this is how I think we can take them out as effectively as possible without any casualties." She then dreamed up a mini schematic of how we can get each robber. Then within moments we went into action.

"Hey." I spoke tapping the last robber on his shoulder. Out of fear he started shooting but they all missed and I punched him in the face causing him to drop the gun. Then Dreamer lassoed him in her dream whip and that's a wrap on this robbery.

"Looks like you struck out my friend." Smiled Dreamer.

"That was good!" I smiled holding my hand out for a high five.

"Thanks I've been thinking about it this whole time."

"Alright let's cuff him and get these civilians out of here." Said Alex coming up to us as we high fived.

"Alright sir. This was the last base you'll ever try to steal." Dreamer then began to lead the guy outside.

"Woah! A double! You're hitting it out the park today Dreamer."

"I try my best." She smiled back at us.

"It's scary how much of your dork has rubbed off on her." My sister sighed putting her hand on my shoulder.

"I am so proud of her. She's come a long way with her punchlines. She went from striking out to home runs every time." I fake sniffled watching Dreamer hand off the robber to the cops.

"You're weird." I just let out a small laugh as we headed towards the civilians.

"You love it." She rolled her eyes at me before turning towards the people.

"Alex is right, you're weird." Added Lena randomly.

"You love it too."

"Damn straight! Now you guys hurry up and get back to the tower. Got something to show you all."

"Is it a pizza party?!" I asked back happily because I'm hungry now and pizza sounds so good right now.

"Ooh I hope there are wings too." Added Brainy.

"Not this time."

"Well then I'm not coming."

"Fine I'll just keep all my new gadgets to myself." Retorted Lena.

"We're on the way." Responded J'onn.

"Alright well let's wrap this up because I gotta get back to work. Bosslady thinks I'm off throwing up somewhere." I explained

"Yeah we definitely have to split like yesterday. I didn't even say anything, I kinda just disappeared." Added Dreamer.

"Alright well you two get back to work and then everyone else can fill you in later." Suggested Lena.

"Okay sounds good." Dreamer responded. I agree with the plan but it'd be wrong of me not to go get my heroes kiss after saving the day. It'll only be a moment then I'll be back to work no problem. So we all made quick work of finishing up at the bank before heading to the tower.

"Greetings fellow thinker!" Greeted Brainy getting Lena to look up at us all. I enjoyed this part because her eyes immediately fell upon mine. She is a complete dork when it comes to me in my supersuit. Besides the last encounter I had with Lena as Supergirl In the lab she melted right into my arms. I'm not setting out to make her melt right now or anything I just want to kiss her once more before I go.

"Hey!" She replied eyes still glued to me. I kinda just stood there in my super pose making sure to puff my chest.

"So what are you building? What is all this?" Asked J'onn as he walked up to the table where my girlfriend has a bunch of random wires, chunks of metal, tools, and other bits and pieces of things.

"Well.. uhh.. I'm glad you asked. I've been-" Before she could start to explain I super sped over to her and wrapped her up in my arms.

"It sounds great. I can't wait to see how it works, but I have to get back to work." I smiled before giving her a small kiss. When I pulled away she had this adorable dreamy look on her face. And I found this especially cute because she's in her lab coat and is wearing her protective eye goggles. She looks like a certified all straight A's nerd and it's oddly really sexy to me. "We're still doing lunch right?"

"Alright wrap it up. Come on, we have somewhere more important to be." Urged Dreamer clapping her hands to get our attention. Ugh I hate that I must go. I let Lena know that but tightening my grip around her waist.

"I gotta go Ms. Luthor. I'll see you in a bit." I then gave Lena one more kiss before letting her go and going over to Dreamer. "Good bye my fellow crime fighters. Until next crime! I'll stop ya later." I smiled because I truly am hilarious. Nobody seemed phased by it but I got Lena to smirk a little bit so it was worth it.

"Can you come on?!" Complained Dreamer hitting me.

"Fine! You guys are all weirdos anyway. I left my latte in Zara's office and I want it right now." Dreamer rolled her eyes at me as I put my arm around her. I then began to take off but not without saying goodbye. "Bye Lena!" I made sure to flash my smile and wink at her.

"Bye Supergirl." With that I took off with Dreamer in tow back to CatCo.

Kara's POV

"I look fine?"

"Yeah fix your collar though it's crooked." I spoke helping Nia fix her shirt collar as we stepped off the elevator. To our luck Zara is holding a group meeting so we just snuck in the back and listened as she was talking.

"I know this is all a big change but in a way we're all starting fresh here. So everyone do what you've been doing and hopefully we'll continue to move forward together in a newer, better light. Any questions before we dismiss?" Nobody had any questions. "Alright back to work then everyone." With that everyone went back to their desks. I wanted to do the same but my latte is still sitting on her desk where I left it. Plus before I left I explained I always stayed a little longer after these group meetings so it'd be weird if I didn't this time. Getting my excuse ready I stayed put as everyone cleared out back to their desks. "Oh Kara there you are! I was worried about you, what happened? Are you alright?" She asked coming up and placed a hand on my bicep.

"I'm alright. It's just I ate my leftover chicken this morning that I accidentally left out all night and it did not agree. Lena told me specifically not to eat it because it might make me sick. But it's Lena, what does she know about food safety? She's a scientist not a food safety advisor." I joked lightly getting her to frown at me.

"You do know food safety is technically a branch under science. You should probably listen next time when someone tells you not to eat something you left out all night."

"Pfft nonsense. I've a stomach of steel. It's just this one time I lost." I murmured looking down at my feet as I adjusted my glasses.

"Kara don't eat food that's been sitting out all night. You're too important here and I can't afford to lose you yet."

"Okay." She smiled at me then turned on her heels and began towards her desk.

"Kay thank you, I mean it. Come in. Close the doors behind you." I simply walked in closing the doors behind myself. I then began walking up to my latte and grabbed it. Ugh it's not hot anymore. Good thing Lena didn't turn this stupid bracelet back on so I'll just warm it back up when I get to my desk. "Here you go to help settle your stomach." Zara then pulled out a bottle of Pepto Bismol pills. I don't need this but I want to be polite.

"Oh thank you!" I smiled taking the bottle and taking two out the bottle before handing it back.

"No problem. Go on down the hatch because I've got something pretty big to ask of you and I don't want you spewing chunks when I ask you." Haha great.. I'm not taking these. I like Zara to a degree but I sure as hell don't trust her. She's made it clear she's got feelings for my Lena still. I wouldn't put it past her to try and poison me to get me out the picture. That being said I pretended to take them then took a sip of my latte. After that I simply crushed the pills up in my hand to dust and held it. "All good?" I opened my mouth to show her I "swallowed" them both. "Okay great. So over the weekend I was thinking that I should introduce myself to National City. Everyone knows my name but not who I am and I'd like to change that. So I-"

"You want me to write an article introducing you to my people?" I excitedly interrupted because this is a perfect way for me to find out more about who my girlfriend's ex is. Zara giggled and nodded.

"You really are too good at your job." I smiled and nodded.

"I've nothing better to do with myself besides be the best reporter in this city and the greatest girlfriend of all time. It's like the old saying goes, if you're not first, you're last."

"Shake and bake, baby!" She smiled making me smile. So far I have to admit Zara is pretty cool personality wise. She's gotten all my jokes and that's already more than Cat ever understood or cared to acknowledge. "But I figured since you did Cat's farewell piece that maybe you'd want to do my introductory piece?"

"It'd be my honor to formally introduce you to National City." I nodded. I wonder how Lena is going to react when I tell her about this.

"Alright perfect. Perhaps we could do it over lunch?"

"Okay yeah. It's just today isn't good for me. Lena is taking me out for grilled cheese and tater-tots. But tomorrow I'm available during lunch."

"Ahh well that's unfortunate because tomorrow I actually have to go back to Gotham for a week. Tie up some loose ends and pack up my old flat. Won't be back until next week."

"Well I could call Lena and cancel." I spoke half heartedly. I really don't want to cancel on her for anything.

"No! Lena already wants to eat my heart so canceling on her for me will most likely result in my funeral, granted she allows my body to be found. No, next week is fine. I'll let you know what day once I get everything back in Gotham settled." Thank Rao. I really want to see my girlfriend and give her kisses.

"Okay sounds good to me. Did you need anything before I go?"

"Nope. Just make sure you have some good questions for me."

"I'll prepare the hardest questions ever for you. Nothing you study will be on the test." That got her to let out a small giggle at me.

"Okay well I'm just going to Google the answers anyway. Now away you go I've paperwork to get through."

"Alright." And with that I left her office. Once I was out I went up to the nearest trash can and let go of the medicine dust. What a weird start to my Monday.

Later that night Lena's POV

"So you blew up half of your lab just to get out of going to dinner with Zara for me?" Asked Kara as I snuggled into her shoulder. We just got home and we're just standing here.

"Mhmm." God being wrapped up in her arms after such a long day feels so good. It wasn't until after I dropped my Kara back off at work after lunch that I ran into Zara. And she made sure to remind us of our business dinner tonight. When she said it I watched as Kara's demeanor changed obviously at the idea of me going to dinner without her. And the added fact that it's dinner with my ex and her boss. It made my heart sad knowing Kara doesn't want me to go and honestly I agreed. And it was in that moment I knew I had to sacrifice something of mine so my girlfriend could have her way. So after Zara finally left us I made sure to give my girlfriend the most reassuring kiss I could before I went and did what needed to be done. I'm sure had I told her before I left she would've tried to stop me. But in my opinion I care more about Kara and her well being than I do my lab at L-Corp. So I decided to accidentally rewire an old proton defuser crossing the wrong wires. Thus meaning when I set it in the test chamber to test out, it full on exploded destroying the entire test chamber, almost taking me with it. Doing so gave me the perfect amount of distress and reasons to have to reschedule that stupid dinner. Once that happened and the necessary emergency responders got it under control naturally I called Kara to let her know that I'm okay and she needn't worry. Ugh but that sweet potato of mine rushed over to me regardlessly. It worked in my favor because this happened some time before the end of our work days, so Kara obviously had to inform Zara of said incident. All I had to do after that is make the call to Zara letting her know we have to reschedule because half my science lab was on fire and I've a fuck ton of calls to make. She didn't ask any further questions, she was just happy to hear I'm okay. So I now have a clear schedule for tonight.

"You're crazy. I hope you know that." Chuckled Kara as she rocked us side to side a bit.

"I don't want anything to do with her Blue. I'd rather be with you than her tonight." That earned me a kiss on the head.

"Well if we're being honest I hated the idea of you going to dinner with her. In fact I hated it from the moment you told me it was happening. I just didn't want to intrude on your important business lady things."

"I'll always put you first before business baby. Your happiness is my number one priority."

"As I should be. That being said, would you like to go on a date with me tonight?" She asked letting me go only just enough so we can look each other in the eyes. "You wanted so bad to be with me tonight so be with me and let's go see a movie."

"What movie?"

"Scary Stories to tell in the dark. And it's PG-13 so it's probably not that scary. And the preview has been playing before all my YouTube cooking videos and it looks really good."

"Okay. Look up the showtimes. I have a few calls to make." I nodded.

"Yay! A date with a pretty lady!" She sang doing a cute little wiggle. She still hasn't let me go so we both did a little wiggle. It's ok because Kara is really cute and I like that. She's all mine and I want everything to do with her.

"Never stop being such a weirdo." That earned me a nice gentle kiss before she then proceeded to lick my forehead. After that she just let me go and went into the kitchen and opened the fridge. As weird as that was I did ask for it. She's truly an interesting being and everyday I spend with her I enjoy getting to know her more and more in depth.

"Pretty lady, you want a sammich? I'm gonna make a sammie." She then turned around with her arms full of cold cuts and different condiments. She even took out the jelly.

"We can go to dinner before the movie if you want."

"I do want. But that doesn't answer my question. My stomach is digesting itself and I Need to eat something."

"Kar you ate a pretzel on the way home." I don't know when or how but after we left L-Corp she randomly pulled out a soft pretzel and started eating it. She even made sure to get salt all over the seat and floor in my Rolls-Royce. I mean it regularly gets cleaned on a monthly basis. However since me and Kara have started to date she's made it a habit of eating in the car. And every time she manages to get crumbs everywhere. I'd ban her from eating in the car but it'd defeat the purpose of getting her to associate food with me. So now it's cleaned on a bi-weekly basis. Tomorrow being the next time it is because the interior is all black so the salt is very visibly in the car.

"Yes. Key words being, a and pretzel." She then moved and grabbed the bread out the drawer and peanut butter from the cabinet. "So do you want one or no?" I'm not hungry but whenever she eats with me I must assist. I have to maintain this tradition between us.

"Sure."

"Okay." And then she went on about making her sandwiches. I know her well enough to know that two sandwiches is the minimum for her.
