18. Vlog of a PruHun lovechild

Prussia lounged on his bed at his brother's basement(which was nowadays known the base of all awesomeness). It was the first of January 2010 and he had a major hangover. In the other words the ex-nation wasn't feeling that awesome at the moment. Maybe he shouldn't have gone to drink so heavily with Denmark and England but hey, it had been the change of the year. Besides they were also most likely at the bottom of their bunks with their families bugging them. In that aspect Prussia was lucky that Germany was out of town with his oh-so-dear Italy.

The headache faded away really slowly but when it did, Prussia was left with only one thing. Boredom. And being bored was to Prussia almost as unawesome than having a hangover.

"Not awesome. Boring is so unawesome…" He muttered and flopped on his stomach. Prussia lazily surveyed the stuff he had in this room before his eyes landed on his laptop. Thankfully the device was on his bedside table so he didn't need to reach too far to get it. Today he was feeling incredibly lazy and didn't feel like even to go and bother Austria or Hungary. Besides Gilbert really didn't fancy getting hit by a frying pan, thank you very much…

Wait… Hungary… Elizaveta… Eliza… Elsa… That's the girl from Salou with her brother. Friends of Cantorini twins. And she made the funny video with those friends during Christmas time. What other videos could she have? More importantly what was her account name again…?

Gilbert opened the laptop grinning and as soon as it was all set up, he opened Youtube.

"Now, how to find her?" He frowned before typing 'Elsa Eliza' on the search engine. He got some hits one of which was 'The name is Elsa, dammit!' by JustsoboredElsa. The albino grinned as he clicked it.

"Found you, kleine frau. You realize that your account name looks like 'Just sobered Elsa'. Kesesesese…" He sang/laughed. As he scrolled through the videos he could see she had definitely started them out of sheer boredness. Each video was only a few minutes long and about everyday things. There was no definite subject with those videos but she was popular anyways.

And what Prussia could see, her popularity skyrocketed about a year ago. Elsa discovered Axis Powers Hetalia webcomic and started sharing her thoughts about the series. She still talked about other things but gradually APH started dominating her topics.

There was a video named 'Prussia awesome' that naturally caught the ex-nation's attention. So he clicked it. It was from last April.

"Prussia hijacked Kitayume on April Fools. That was awesome! All that stuff that was put there was so fun! And Prussia even noticed Canada! Yeah, those two are my favourite characters. And I even drew a picture about those two." Elsa talked and brought a drawing into the view. It was a nice one. Actually quite alike and they had a plate of pancakes between them.

"I should practice a bit more…" She muttered as she put the paper aside before continuing. "I've thought about this character. Prussia that is. Before reading Hetalia I hadn't really heard about this country before. I knew the colour Prussian Blue which is one of my favourites but otherwise… Nada. But when I began reading the series I wanted to know more. And not just about Prussia but history in general. Because the information we get at school it extremely limited.

"But now I'm straying off the topic. Let's backtrack a bit, shall we? So, Prussia, Teutonic Knights, East Germany, Gilbert Beildschmidt… We have many names for him, don't we? And as well we have many opinions on him. Some people hate him and his arrogance, some love him for his confidence and find his personality endearing somehow. Personally I belong to those people who like him but I admit that he should knock down his ego a peg or two or he'll become an annoying prick. Maybe Hungary could help him with that… Or I could do it too. I have quite good pan for that. My Awesome Frying pan of Doom as I say. It's actually a wok pan though…"

At this Gilbert shuddered as he remembered the wok pan from the video he saw with others back then.

"I guess that's about it for this time. I don't really know what else to say. It'd be interesting to meet him, that's for sure. Although I'm not sure how long I'd stand his 'awesomeness'." She made the quotemarks with her fingers. "So see ya! I'll make a video about the BFT entirety later." Elsa waved to the camera and the video ended.

"Kesesesese. You've already met me frau." Gilbert scrolled through the videos and watched some. For example 'SuFin rant' where Elsa told how that pairing didn't work and how she was annoyed how about everyone in the fandom blindly supported it.

"I mean… it doesn't even have a proper historical basis. Oh yeah, we Finns were under Swedish rule for a long time and we're dragged into their wars while being treated as a lower class and discriminated against. We weren't even given a chance to educate and develop our country. We were merely a buffer zone against the Russian Empire. Granted, we got some towns built – and named after Swedish royals – and we were used occasionally as a trade partner but otherwise… Nothing! In all honestly I think it was a good thing that Russia got Finland because then we got rights. We finally had a chance to go forward and later became independent. Don't get me wrong. I don't support RusFin and there was truly awful time under Russia's rule. I don't really like him at all, especially during the 20th century…

"But most of all my dislike for this pairing is that… Because of Sweden, Finland isn't associated properly on his own. In the manga and anime that is. People link them together all the time and belittle Finland because of Sweden's overprotectiveness and calling him 'wife'. C'mon, Finland is not a woman. He is not weak or girly. He is a kickass sniper with a lot of strength and strong will power. Remember that folks! Elsa out." And the video ended.

"Zat's so true…" The albino muttered. He had read some parts of the manga and he agreed that it gave a wrong picture about some events. But it was a humor manga that focused on the good times so he let it slide. The peek into the fandom that he had taken though… it downright frightened how so many people there rolled solely around the pairings. Thankfully there were also the history geeks that found out facts and tried to get some depth to the nations. They were a sad minority though.

Prussia scrolled past more videos about pairing. For example 'USUK vs. FrUK' and 'Hetero Pairs' were found. Then there was that Christmas video with Elsa, Akseli and the Cantorini twins fooling around. And the latest one was 'WTF, you gotta be kidding me…' from the previous day actually.

"Okay… Apparently I have some pretty enthusiastic fans out there…" Elsa was looking off the camera at her lap top and frowning slightly. "There's this guy or girl… HetaPruHunFan1918 who has made a video about me and their favourite pairing which is obviously Prussia x Hungary and… Well, they have taken bits of my videos since I started making them and compared them to parts of manga and anime. Compares me to Prussia and Hungary… Yes, I admit I might share some characteristics with either of them but I'm sure many other people do too.

"Well, you better watch the vid in question yourself. There's a link down there. Elsa, now known as the unofficial PruHun lovechild, is out now. I'll probably fetch my frying pan and knock myself out…"

Gilbert arched his eyebrows as he read the comments below the video. He had noticed on the previous videos too that every time she acted like himself or Elizaveta, there were at least a half a dozen people pointing it out. Intrigued, he clicked the link.

The video started with 'I Gotta Feeling' and flashed the title that read also above the screen: 'Just so bored Elsa, PruHun lovechild'. A 'vocaloided' voice with American accent started to speak then.

"Okay, the video that many of you have subconsciously been waiting for is here. List of our beloved Elsa's similarities with Prussia and Hungary, or Gilbert and Elizaveta, throughout the times we have known her. Let's start with one of the obvious ones. Frying pan."

An image of Hungary with her frying pan was shown and next to it Elsa with her 'Frying Pan of Doom' TM. Between them was bright blue number one and underneath it text 'a frying pan'.

"As we all know, Hungary loves her frying pan. And Elsa loves too. Well, not exactly loves but she really likes to makes us threats considering it. Do you remember the Christmas video from two weeks ago? Perfect example. Or last April Fools?"

A number two of the same color than the one slammed on the screen and when it settled, underneath appeared a text 'her laugh'.

"We have witnessed numerous times when she has laughed behind her palm and heard…" A clip of Elsa laughing her "khhs-s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s"-laugh ran. "And as we know, Prussia laughs in very similar way." An anime clip of Prussia's laugh was played. "Not to mention what Felicia was about to say in the Christmas video." A new clip started to play.

"Khs-s-s-ssss…" Elsa laughed while she trying to hide it behind her hand. Felicia's face brightened.

"Prussia-laugh!" The half-Italian girl pointed Elsa in triumph. "You did it again!"

"I did not!"

"Yes, you did! You can't deny it. We even got it on tape!"

"It proves nothing!"

"Oh really?" Akseli chuckled.

"Yeah, really. Now wash your hands and sit down before…"

"You use the awesome frying pan of doom?" The boy raised a skeptical eyebrow.

"No!"

"The what?" Felicia turned towards the sandy-blonde boy.

"That." He pointed a giant frying pan on the counter.

"That is a wok pan." Elsa protested, taking it with her both hands.

"It has only one handle so it's a frying pan." Akseli smirked.

"Oh my god! Elsa is a Pr-mmph!" Luciano cut Felicia off by covering her mouth.

"Now I'm really curious what our dear Italian was trying to say. I bet it was something along the lines we all have been thinking."

Number three slammed on the screen. 'Awesome'.

"She really likes that word, doesn't she? She has used it since the beginning. Although not on herself." A series of clips played, in each of them Elsa said awesome in some context. Next to them played screencaps and parts of manga where Prussia said the word awesome.

Number four: 'Her looks'.

"Do I even need to mention how much she looks like Hungary? She has brown hair too. Although it is lighter than our favorite frying pan wielding nation but it can be easily be explained by Prussia's light light light haircolor. And Elsa's eyecolor is blue, just like in the early colored pictures of Prussia."

Number five: 'Yaoi-fangirlness'.

"She's into yaoi kinda much. Almost as much as Hungary. She isn't as obsessive though and she gladly accepts also heteropairings."

Number six: 'Friends and family'.

"Well, this is just a similarity not necessary a proof. Her friends! Italy-twins!" The voice squealed as a picture of Felicia and Luciano appeared. "They're just like Italy and Romano. Both in looks and personality, how cool is that? Felicia is bit like nyo!Italy actually, down to the name even!

"And then there's Elsa's little brother Akseli whom we call Axis. Doesn't he look like mini-Germany? And Elsa obviously loves him a lot and messes with him too. Like throwing him into snow."

Number 7: 'Not really, this is just for laughs'

"Yeah, the main points were there but now is time for other stuff we may or may not have noticed. These come without me narrating."

7.1: Her name. In the beginning she was numerous times referred as 'Eliza'. Some still do.

7.2: Piano. She likes to play piano and is really good at it. Did Austria influence her? Am I smelling a Frying Pangle drama here?

7.3: Blogging. This probably should be among the others but let's put it here. She blogs, just like Prussia. Period.

7.4: Boyishness. This should also be with others! Anyways she has stated that as a kid she had more boys as friends than girls and she prefers kinda boyish clothing over dresses. She can be cute too though.

7.5: Eyebrows. Her eyebrows are actually kinda dark compared to her hair. Thankfully they aren't thick. It's a possibility thought that England has tried to curse her as a revenge. Prussia, what did you do this time?

7.6: Gilbird. She absolutely adores him and has drawn copious amounts of pictures about the awesome bird we all love. Those drawings are coating the walls of her room.

"I ran out of ideas now but I think these were the main ones. Comment on the below if you find more, okay? I had fun doing this but now I gotta go. Byeeee!"

Prussia couldn't hold back his laugh anymore as the video ended. He rolled on his stomach, dropping the laptop next to him and laughed so loudly that it could probably be heard at the other side of the town.

"Mein Gott, that was hilarious!" Gilbert wiped tears of mirth away with his left hand. Near him a chirp could be heard and Gilbird flew a top of the albino's head. "Guten Morgen, Mein awesome Vögel. Did ya sleep well?"

A chirp.

"I'm good too. I just watched a really fun video. I wonder should I send it to Elizaveta… Nah, she wouldn't understand. I'll keep zis as my own secret." The ex-nation grinned until his stomach growled. "Ah, breakfast time. I really want pancakes… But Birdie is too far and I'm hungry now." The man got up and scratched his head a bit.

"Ze awesome me can make pancakes myself! Come Gilbird!" And the duo hurried to the stairs.
