I've wanted to make a Naruto real twin story forever... so this is my attempt.
Kagami Uzumaki- Yes he is named after Kagami Uchiha, for a good reason...
Also, Destiny says Naruto is meant to be a Mischievous Blue eyed boy so... yeah.
I am basing the twin in a set that I know in real life. I am also drawing on Tobimara and Hashirama...
"Kagami Uzumaki." Eko, shaking, walked down to the backroom. Memorizing his handsigns, he waited for Iruka to give him his orders. The man sat before him. " Okay, show us the Clone jutsu!"
Closing his eyes, Kagami focused his chakra. "Clone jutsu!" With all of his control, he squeezed out as many clones as he could. Smoke faded and before he knew it ten clones filled the room. They were not perfect, they were a little pale, but overall good. Those thousand hours of practicing with the Leaf Concentration exercise had born fruit after all!
Iruka smiled, his smile tense and weak. "Good job, Eko, you pass!"
Shaking, Kagami grabbed his headband and walked out of the backroom, satisfied and excited and proud. Turning, he looked at him brother, Naruto, and beamed at him. "I passed, Ru!"
Naruto beamed right back, but there was an uneasiness about it.
"Of course, he looks uneasy... Naruto, much as I love him, and I do, he is lazy, stubborn and does spend most of his time pranking." Kagami sighed, walking out of the classroom to wait for his brother. 'Ru, please tell me you studied like I told you. They hate us, they all do, they will take any chance to fail us.' Kagami's fist tightened in the pockets of his grey flack vest, masking his rage. He loathed this stupid village for it's stupid bias. 'Of course, this worthless place hates us for doing nothing... I don't even prank like Naruto and they still hate me too... damn them, damn them all.' He would never show his hatred of the village, knowing that it just wasn't safe. Showing your hatred for a village known for it's patriotism was... unwise.
Sitting down, Kagami focused on his breathing, meditating. The Academy books, for as boring and overwritten as they were, had many exercises that came in handy like meditation and the Leaf concentration exercise which was the sole reason he managed to pass the stupid clone exercise. Unlike Naruto, who had taken the academy exam three times despite being warned that it was unwise by the Hokage and his own awesome twin! Kagami took his time, like everyone else, studying and practicing his kata as hard and as much he could so that no one could deny the fruits of his hard work.
Of course, Kagami had his own goals... Naruto wanted to be Hokage, it was what drove him, Naruto was never satisfied with their connection, he wanted the entire village to love him...
Kagami wanted something different, He wanted to be in ANBU, the Head of ANBU. Dark and twisted to some, but Kagami knew that only the best of the best were allowed in ANBU. They did not have ranks and special treatment in ANBU, everyone earned everything, which was something craved. To finally be treated like he mattered, like he wasn't a freak or a loser, to be treated like a person. As if his hard work mattered...
He never told Naruto about this goal, why would he, Naruto wouldn't understand, he was of the opinion that attention was the greatest thing ever... Kagami didn't want attention, just appreciation from people that cared... Anbu could provide at least some of that... plus badass training, who could say no to that?
Ten minutes passed while Kagami meditated, expanding his chakra and focus in a rhythmic flow, when Naruto barreled out of their classroom. Opening his eyes, he saw Naruto was close to tears. "Ru..." Naruto blasted off, rushing to the stupid swing set he always sat one when upset. Unsure of how to help, even after years of being attached to his idiot brother, Kagami looked at his lap in impotent frustration. "I mean, I did tell him to study... stupid feelings, I shouldn't feel bad when he brought this on himself... but... I... damn it... Why can't I be better at this, a better brother?" Rubbing his own eyes, he stood and started to walk out of the Academy where he saw a crowd of people glaring at his brother, whispering their meanness as they typically did.
As soon as they saw or sensed him, they switched things up and he too got their nasty comments. Tired, sapped of strength from that, he hurried away, rushing away to his personal training place in the forest. Not even Naruto knew of it, he made sure never to tell him, having wanted a place where he wasn't just Naruto's brother or one of the most hated kids in the Leaf... where he could just read, study, or work out in peace...
He needed an escape from it all...
"Okay, let's work out and then... then I will help Ru. I need to help myself first and then I can help him... maybe."
It wasn't easy being Naruto's brother. Naruto was hard to love at the best of times...and to be honest, what they said about bad kids getting the most attention was so true. No one focused or paid any attention to Kagami, he wasn't the one playing pranks, defacing monuments or making a ruckus of himself... Kagami... most people forgot him entirely or hated him on principle. He had no friends other than Naruto, he studied hard to compensate for his struggles with focus and never being taught how to read well by the biased teachers. He focused on bettering himself, giving the world a little grounds to hate him as possible... and yet it left him lonely as hell, tired as hell and wanting so much more...
Hence his dream to ANBU! A dream he would accomplish, and no one would stop him... or so he hoped. Who knew, the hate they got was pretty strong... if that happened, he would just leave the village, after getting strong enough to fight Hunter Ninja off,... only then and if he had to train himself to get that strong, then by Kami he would do it!

"He did what?" Kagami expected a lot when he was pulled into the Hokage's office by an angry chunin six hours after graduating... learning that Naruto stole an important scroll was not exactly on that list of things. " How could he be that stupid?"
The Hokage sighed, breathing out a thick veil of smoke. "Do not be unkind, Kagami... Naruto... is... he means well."
"He is an idiot and he... why did he do it?"
" Perhaps we will figure that out if we can see him. " The Hokage pulled out a crystal ball, and pushed his chakra into it. Immediately they saw Naruto in a forest, only this Naruto was right by Iruka who was deeply injured, with a massive scroll on his back, and Mizuki was there in a tree with two fuma shuriken on his back.
Mizuki was talking, saying something that would haunt Kagami for the rest of his life.
"They've been lying to you, your whole life, Naruto! Since the decree twelve years ago!"
As one, Naruto and Kagami said. "What decree?"
Only, Kagami was well studied in history and a single event came to his mind. His hand moved to the whisker marks on his face, his mind moving to the hate he had received from birth alongside his brother. " The Fox... what... is... I..." he stumbled, struggling to breathe but the Hokage only had eyes for Naruto.
Mizuki continued. "everyone knows except you and your brother. Iruka's trying to hide it from you, even now! He'd do anything to shut me up."
"What is it with this decree, why does everyone else know about it?" Naruto asked, his voice shaking.
Iruka belted out. "Don't tell him it's forbidden!"
"The Decree is that no one can tell you that the Nine-tailed Fox is inside you and your brother, split up and divided. The Fox spirt that killed iruka's parents and destroyed our village has taken over your and Kagami's bodies, You two are the Nine-tailed Fox!"
Kagami collapsed, falling to his knees... a thousand memories overtook him... hateful eyes burning into his soul, being kicked out shops and restaurants, having no friends ever, people dragging their kids away from him, the constant fear and loneliness, being charged extra for food and clothes and...
It was all too much... and yet, another memory conquered them all... It was a lesson on sealing scrolls. A stupid simple lesson, one he got a perfect score on actually.
"I... I am the scroll, and the Fox is sealed in me.., I am not the Fox and neither is Naruto." Standing tall, he took a deep breath. "Lord Hokage... I am not the Fox and neither is Naruto."
The man nodded absently. "No, you are not, neither of you are. Your comparison is quite right, you are but the vessel in which the beast has been sealed, it's prison and warden."
Taking several deep breaths, Kagami had a million questions. 'Why did you never tell us, if we are basically WMDs then why abuse us, hate us, mistreat us... why never do a damn thing for us you worthless Old Fart!' He settled for masking it all, and losing every ounce of respect he had for not only the old Kage, but the village itself.
He was so distracted with the attempt to calm his rage, that he only caught the end of Naruto's battle with Mizuki, with is idiot, lazy brother creating solid clones to beat the man bloody and then be handed a headband despite having failed literally all of the academy's lessons, skipped most than half of the classes and just being a general fool overall...
'More special treatment for Ru... god I love you, Naruto, but I cannot live in your shadow any longer, I know what I have to do! If I am going to matter, I need to matter away from you...'
