"Now that's something you don't see every day."

Seimei whirled around at the slightly amused-sounding voice. Waving one hand calmingly, Nisei walked toward the dresser where his Sacrifice sat in a state of half-undress.

"What? Nervous?" He giggled. "It's not like I'm going to tell anyone your big secret." He seemed delighted at the prospect of such an exposition, though, eyes narrowing with laughter.

"Nisei," Seimei replied, deadly calm, "it's not a secret. The only one who didn't know," and here there was a cold sneer,
"was you."

"Well!" Nisei huffed, crossing his arms. "It's not like I wanted to know anyway. Geez. I don't care what kind of secrets you keep, you know! Besides, now I'm not so sure I want your ears anymore, cute as they are." He smirked. Seimei wasn't going to ruffle him this easily.

"Good. I wasn't going to give them to you."

"Che! Well. It's my rule of thumb: I don't sleep with anyone girlier than myself!" His eyes fell to the pile of wrappings neatly placed on the dresser, and then to the chest over which they'd been formerly bound. "And I'd say you definitely qualify."

He payed dearly for that remark, but oh how he enjoyed the look on Seimei's face as the words came out.

Girls don't hit all that hard, anyway.
