This was a hard but really, really fun chapter to write.
There is a huge change in canon here, but a subtle one if you notice it.
With a sliver of chakra, Kagami wove a simple genjutsu of his own, catching five unaware Sound Ninja under it's power. He sliced them apart in an easy motion, chopping heads off and more. "I think whoever hired them went for numbers not skill.
"You would say that, boy." He saw a sound ninja pulling out a blade. "I am the most skillful Kenjutsu user among the Sound Ninja, try me on for size." Twisting his blade, happy for his stamina, he sent a sliver of wind chakra into his blade. "I think I will. Moonlight." In a blur, he was behind the man, a single vertical slash having severed the man's sword and himself at the waist. "So much for talent."
The battle was winding down, Kakashi and Guy were dominating the many ninja, Asuma and Kurenai doing not much worse. The ninjas he woke up were making headway in the actual battle. He had managed to wake up over thirty ninja, adding thirty Leaf ninja to fight the tide of enemies, a major help. If that didn't get him Chunin and into ANBU, he'd outright defect damn it.
Turning his gaze upwards, he shivered. He had sensed immensely foul chakra, so potent he didn't have to focus on it, it was so present he didn't need to. Then two more chakra's appeared, one feeling a lot like Naruto's oddly and the other feeling like his own. He wondered if they were relatives of theirs, Uzumaki's and Senjus were kin, so there were many ninja who could be possibly there.
'It doesn't matter, I need to focus where I am most helpful. I've killed all the enemies here, and I have saved over ten ninjas in this section. I need to help... well, the Hokage would be the best place.' Gathering himself, he shot along the isles, then up towards the Hokage where he saw a massive purple barrier and trees forming inside. "The First Hokage's jutsu? " He asked the ANBU just standing there next to the barrier.
The Head ANBU nodded, turning to him. "Unless you can enter the barrier, go help the others."
"I have an idea, just give me a moment."
To his shock the man nodded. "Yugao said you were oddly competent, just do not touch the barrier, it is fatal. Fire style barrier."
"Good... that will help my jutsu." Closing his eyes, he focused on Kyuubi. 'I beat your brother's host, badly, let's save this idiot kage and get me into ANBU.'
The Fox laughed. 'Take my power, and show them what you can do, brat.' Power flooded him and unlike Naruto who merely took on an orange glow, a full fox cloak appeared over Kagami's body. He felt invincible, powerful, endlessly mighty.
Channeling that power and wind chakra through his body, he repeated his attack on Gaara. "Moonlight FOX!" He slashed the barrier with Kyuubi enhanced Wind chakra, the force of which was so great... the barrier shattered entirely. The ninjas holding the barrier groaned and were forced to defend themselves against the ANBU forcing the other barrier down as well.
Kagami shot towards Lord Hokage, despite his hate of him. "Old man, if this doesn't get me into ANBU..." It was a joke, mostly, and the old man laughed for a moment. As did the staff he was holding, oddly enough.
"I like this boy, Sarutobi." The staff said.
"He is amazingly competent." Hiruzen said. "Kagami, how long can you hold Kyuubi's chakra?"
"Not sure, but the Fox is helping me so..."
Hiruzen's eyes widened. " My foes are the first and second Hokage, they are nowhere near as powerful as before, they are maybe as strong as Kakashi... you are easily Low jonin without that power, with it you are probably strong enough to not die against the Second, the weaker of the two. Distract him, that is all you are capable of, they regenerate endlessly... I will handle Lord First."
Gulping he nodded."I read on them, if they were full power we'd have no village left... I can be distracting. Wish me luck..." Turning to the second Hokage, he bowed. "It is an honor to fight my hero." Then he moved, at speeds that made his natural speed look like a slug in winter. The Second Hokage easily dodged, grabbing his heel and twisting to throw him aside, only to be kicked hard in the face sending him flying back until he crashed into a tree. "Wow, you are nowhere near at full power, the Second was slower only compared to the Fourth... damn. Maybe I will survive this." Shaking his head, he pulled out his blade and entered a dance with the Second Hokage. Slash and stab and feint, nothing hit, the man was too good and experienced, but Kagami was faster than ever and empowered by the Fox so he managed to keep the man distracted as ordered.
"You are excellent for your age." Tobirama said. dodging his strikes masterfully. "The Leaf is in good hands... I only sense half of the Kyuubi in you however, why is this?"
"The other half is in my brother."
"I see... I am sorry for your burden." The man said. and Kagami admired the man more. "What is your name?"
"Kagami, the Third named me after a friend of his."
"A student of mine, Kagami Uchiha,...a powerful name for an extraordinary boy, you are lucky to hold that name. What is your goal, child?" The Second asked, lashing out with a kick even empowered Kagami barely blocked and with great pain.
Smiling he twisted his wrist and literally tore off the man's foot, only for it to slowly regenerate. "ANBU, I want to be it's head." '
Tobirama smiled. "May fortune smile on you then... you deserve it. Water Style, Water Dragon Bullet!" The man, without a single freaking handsign, blasted him with a powerful blast of water that Kagami only dodged by throwing himself into the air.
Pulling out his blade, he launched four slices of wind chakra at the man, all enhanced by the Kyuubis' chakra. To his amazement one actually hit the slower Kage, cutting his arm out. With all of his speed, Kagami threw himself at the kage and kicked him towards Orochimaru, who was so stunned he actually got knocked over. Killer intent filled the air, but Kagami countered it with his own.
"You will regret that, boy." Orochimaru snarled.
Kagami shivered, terrified, but defiant. " I regret nothing... at least until I am dead."
The man rushed him blade in hand, slicing and slashing at him. Only Kyuubi's power kept him alive, and even then barely. The Second, to his shock, did not attack him but watched. The man seemed just capable enough to hold himself back, pure force of potent will.
Kagami pulled out his own blade, channeling wind chakra to block Orochimaru's blade when it started getting too close, only for his own blade to shatter from, the power of Orochimaru. The man's sword dug into Kagami's chest, making him scream... but it was no ordinary scream, it was a scream of pure chakra so powerful that it send Orochimaru flying with pure force so great that he left a crafter in the ground.
Poison from the blade burned him, but the healing powers of Kyuubi were so great that the blade was pushed out. Grabbing it he rushed Orochimaru's downed body... only to stop when the Third Hokage was there, grabbing the man by the arms, pulling out something bluish from him. Orochimaru screamed in agony, and the blade in Kagami's hand turned into a snake, tearing from him and turning back into a sword just long enough to stab the Third in back.
Kagami only realized at that moment that he could no longer sense the First and Second's chakra... but he could sense another chakra, a dark potent chakra... and it radiated from the Third. He saw it, a figure of purple skin and white hair, garbed in white robes it stuck a spectral hand through the Third's body. After a moment it used a tanto to carve the fraction of the energy it was taking from Orochimaru and the man bellowed in utter agony.
Kagami rushed the man, only to stumble, his body stalling in terrible pain. He bent over, puking up blood and vomit, swirling. " Damn,... the stress on my body must have been too great... I..." And like that he collapsed onto his side, and darkness took him entirely.

'Damn it! We lost Jirobo and Kidomaru!' Orochimaru bellowed internally, rushing off with Tayuya and Ukon protecting his back as he fled. 'That boy, he used Kyuubi's chakra to shatter the barrier, and managed to barely hold off the weakened Second. He managed to nearly kill Gaara, he needs to be dealt with, but I cannot kill him... the Akatsuki would come after me... damn... what to do... I need to think...'
With skill only he had, Orochimaru managed to escape the Leaf, at the cost of his entire Sound Four, all due to one tenacious boy with more power than some Kages...
And to make it worse, he no longer had access to his arms... damn it!

This was a blast to write. If one tail makes worthless Naruto jonin level it would make a jonin level Kagami at least fast and strong as Kakashi... just saying.
