I cannot wait to meet Tsunade, I adore this chapter and this episode, it was one of the few time showboating was not annoying. Plus as much as I hate Itachi, he is a badass.
Kagami knew he was going to lose. the two men before him had the strongest chakra's he had ever sensed bar Jiraiya's own massive reserves. They oozed strength and might, their chakra flow as mighty as their reserves and potency... well the Uchiha had less chakra than Kagami did but far, but his control was insanely refined. Like perfect flow, medically perfect flow. He could have been a medical ninja of insane proficiency good flow.
"Wait you're Itachi... Itachi Uchiha, the man who slaughtered Sasuke's entire family!"
"Ahh, you are still famous it seems, Itachi." The ugly shark one grinned, ear to ear. "And he is a sword wielder, wonder how good? Only one way to tell." The man, holding what looked like a club, slammed his blade down hard at Kagami, who just barely blocked it even with Kyuubi's chakra. "Strong for your size, but that's not enough. My blade doesn't cut, it shreds and devours chakra, just like yours!" He pushed harder, sending Kagami skidding back, all of his fox chakra torn away and absorbed in the sword that actually seemed to be wriggling underneath it's bandages.
'Plan B I guess... ' He rushed forward, ducking under the man's blade, slicing up and cutting the man's arm, kicking away his sword and jabbing forward, only to be easily stopped by the man in question. He just grabbed his arm, twisting until his wrist dislocated, making Kagami grunt and kick the man hard enough to force him to let go. Jumping back, he relocated his wrist. "Damn..."
The Ugly man laughed. "You're good, not just for your age but in general. I'd say you were a chunin level swordsman, impressive really. Pity you are going to die, you might make interesting prey in the future. Alas, we cannot allow you to live."
Gulping he felt Naruto tap into the Fox's chakra, only for ugly man to slice him too, carving his chakra away, leaving them both tired and almost helpless...
"It has been a long time, Sasuke." Itachi said suddenly. and they all turned to see Sasuke standing on the other side of the rooftop.
"Itachi Uchiha... it's just as you said brother, I fostered my hatred against you, all this time." His arm radiated powerful chakra, it chirped of all things, a powerful lightning chakra. "I've lived my life for one single purpose. To see you die! It ends here!"'
"Chidori?" Itachi said, almost bored.
"Enough, it ends now!"
Kagami called out. "Sasuke, don't he is far too powerful!"
Sasuke didn't listen, charging with great speed and malice. "DIE!"... only for the entire move to be effortlessly blocked by Itachi, a mere twist of his wrist until the move phased out.
"Enough." Sasuke moved and Itachi twisted his wrist, snapping Sasuke's wrist loudly, making the boy scream in agony.
"Naruto run!" Kagami moved as fast as he could, all his strength and speed against the Sharky one, move for move the man easily blocked him. Then, with speeds only a Kage level ninja could manage, kicked him across the chest with enough force that three ribs cracked instantly. Kagami went flying back, only to be caught by something slimey.
"You two don't know me at all, do you? You should have done your homework? Jiraiya the Toad sage fall victim to no women's charm, rare beauties drop to me like blossoms in a storm! It isn't in my nature to be duped by wiles of women. When you reach the stature I have, woman kneel and worship at your awesomeness!"
"Aw don't give me that, one wink from a pretty girl and you turn into a pile of mush! You fell for it like a ton of bricks Pervy sage."
" I really wish you wouldn't;t call me that in front of people."
Kagami growled, getting off of what he now realized was a toad. "Jiraiya, you are on thin ice, I will carve your nuts off while you sleep if you don't shut up and save our collective asses, the asses only in danger due to your craptastic obsession with women you worthless perv!"
Jiraiya actually shivered at his glare and the The Sharky one laughed. "I rather enjoy you, Kagami... as for you Jiraiya, you are something of a disappointment, A lecherous old man with the disposition of a child. It is hard to believe you are one the original Sanin."
Kagami felt Kyuubi's power reflood his body, healing his wounds. "Why are you after us... you came after Naruto and I... it's for the Fox, right?"
To the Sharky one's credit, he did not lie. "Right in one, brat... "
"You are right, Naruto and Kagami are the prize the Akatsuki are after... and we will have them."
"No way you are getting the brats." Jiraiya said.
"We'll see about that." Itachi said.
"Actually this is very convenient, I can eliminate you both at the same time."
"Stay out of this!" Sasuke started, standing. "The only one going to eliminate him... is me!"
Itachi, without blinking, said. " Go away, you don't interest me at the moment."
"Well get interested!" Only to be effortlessly kicked away, like a worthless fly.
Naruto charged forward. "No Naruto! Don't butt in, mind your own business. I told you before, I lived my whole life for this day, this moment!" Sasuke charged again, for every movement, every moment to be dominated by Itachi who had blinding speed, strength and reflexes so great that Kagami could hardly keep us. " Not finished, this fight is mine."
"So be it." Itachi started.
Jiraiya stepped forward while Itachi strode on over to Sasuke, only to be blocked by the Shark. "You heard him old man, this fight is none of our business. Let's let the two of them sort it out."Kagami felt a shiver of hate and horror fill him as Itachi beat Sasuke with no effort, making blood and spit explode from his lips. He shook tears at his eyes, watching that beating with no means to help. He didn't even like Sasuke or care for him outside of basic respect for his dedication to the Ninja arts but this... this was pure horror. "You show him no mercy." The Sharky one said. Itachi lifted Sasuke by his front and whispered something he did not hear... but then he felt a spike of chakra spike and heard Sasuke scream in utter horror. "Isn't that heartwarming, using Tsukyomi on his own brother."
The silence of Sasuke was worse than the screams...
"That's it I am through standing around!" Naruto shot forward and Kagami backed him up, sword in hand.
A spike of Jiraiya chakra filled the air and flesh wrapped around them all, eclipsing the skies.
"Ninja art, Toad mouth trap. You've both have been swallowed the Mountain Toad. Welcome my friends to the belly of the Beast! He's got a very sensitive digestive tract, be careful to jot upset him. Not the most glorious death! Must be humbling to know you've been reduced to toad food."
Shaking, Kagami snapped. " Stop showboating and kill them, you moron!"
Jiraiya frowned. "Stay still you two trust in my jutsu."
Itachi turned. " Kisame, come."
Kisame's sword was stuck. "Easier said than done." The man managed to pull his blade out.
"It's useless, the Ninja hasn't been born who can survive this powerful stomach." Waves of flesh followed after the two ninja who ran off until an explosion filled the air with powerful chakra.
Rushing to the spot, Kagami saw black flames rendering the wall burning. "That's insane... that chakra is so intense, I have never felt anything like it...Doesn't matter, I have medical training, I'll patch up Sasuke beyond the genjutsu used on him." Jiraiya released Sasuke from the wall and Kagami put a hand on his head with an evaluation jutus Yugao had taught him when she learned he was learning Genjutsu. "His mind is in shambles... and his body... he has two broken ribs and his wrist is fractured. He needs medical attention fast. Guy, don't bother attacking it's just us." They both, Naruto and Jiraiya, looked confused turning to the hole in the jutsu where Guy was rushing towards them. "Guy, we need to take him to the Medical core, this is powerful stuff. I can still feel residual genjutsu on him... I have genjutsu training, Naruto, all specialists know how to evaluate for mental damage, it is part of our training. Itachi hit him with something...'
"It is obviously what he hit Kakashi with." Guy said. "What we need is a specialist, a master of the medical arts."
"Tsunade, we are on our way to find her now. To become Hokage, I presume."
Jiraiya nodded. "Precisley. "
