I have so many plans, this story is my main focus at the moment... I am loving it.

Any suggestions for missions is beyond desired.

A three month timeskip for next chapter.

"He was going to be promoted to Chunin." Tsunade had told Naruto, before handing him Kagami's vest.

Naruto held the vest close, sobbing into it's fabric, barely able to process the loss of his brother. "I am so sorry, Kagami... I ... I miss you... so much. " For what felt like hours he cried... only to stop when he felt a firm hand on his shoulder and saw an equally sad looking Jiraiya.

"I am sorry, so sorry kid."

Naruto threw himself into the man's chest, sobbing his heart out. "We fought all the time, he always told me to grow up and be better, and now he's dead."

"I know, I know,.. but the best you can do, and this is coming from someone that has lost nearly every person I ever loved,... move on. Live your life to the fullest and make every day count, live for them."

Naruto sniffed. "What?"

"Live for your brother, live the life he was never given the chance to have." Jiraiya wiped away his tears. "Stand strong and give life a chance."

Standing tall himself, Naruto did just that. "I... I will... but when will the pain go away?"

"I am not sure it ever will... but one day, you will look back on his memory and it won't be so bad as it will be bittersweet. Now, go... Tsunade has a missionf or your team."

With a slight slump, Naruto shot off, rushing to Tsunade, never seeing the tears falling down Jiraiya's face as he failed yet another soul...

"I am so sorry, Minato... I failed your son... we all did." With speed only a Kage level Ninja could manage, he rushed to the boy's grave and sat down. "Please, forgive me... Kagami. I never saw you as the Child of Prophecy, I saw Naruto's mischief as a sign of his potential, he was more like me... but you, you were a beast all your own. I should have given you more time, more care..."

"You too, huh?" He turned, seeing Kakashi looking very tired alongside one Yugao Uzuki.

They all stayed at Kagami's grave, sitting in solidarity over the loss of soul that burned so bright, taken by one of their own before he could really shine.

" I hate to ask... but what are we to do about the other half of the Kyuubi?" Kakashi asked.

Jiraiya sighed. "I will be having my network searching for it... and if we find it, we will deal with it then... until that point, not a word must be spread on the subject."

"Yessir." They both say, before Yugao sighed.

"He was an incredible student, I wanted him to take my place in ANBU, he really could have made his dream come true. He could have been it's head, easy..."

"Such a waste of potential ... " Kakashi replied.

"Such a waste of life."

A WEEK LATER

"I love this life!"

Kagami grunted, grabbing his opponent, a young partnerless Inuzuka clearly kidnapped by Danzo, and throwing him back. It was easy to dodge hsi angry strikes, the bestial man was almost worthless without a partner. It was easy to dodge his strikes, peppering the man with harsh, powerful strikes. Whimpering, the Inuzuka barely managed to dodge his strong right hook only to fall victim to a harsh punch to the nose that shattered his jaw and sent him flying into the wall.

He wasn't holding back, the man was a prisoner and Kagami knew his own life was only sustained by following orders. Naruto would have rebelled and it would have cost him his life. Kagami was made of sterner stuff, he fought back by thriving. By excelling so well, he would rise to Danzo's heir where he would succeed in his newest dream. Taking Danzo's life and fucking ROOT Over, or taking it over... whichever was more fun.

"YOou bastard... I will kill you!" The Inuzuka screamed before rushing at him once more.

Ducking under his claws, Kagami slammed his knee into the man's chest hard enough that he coughed up blood. Collapsing, the man continued to spew blood as his ribs had fractured and had pierced his lung. Grabbing his head, Kagami tugged hard to the side, snapping the man's neck easily.

Laughing a little, shocking himself quite a bit, he turned to Danzo. "Why was I killing him?"

"He killed one his fellow Inuzuka's Hounds. Purely out of spite, he was chased away, but he had secrets so we caught him. You laughed, why?"

"I never get to go all out, I think... and to be honest, I have a lot of pent-up rage, it was never something I could tap into before. It felt right, but I need to focus so I am not overwhelmed by it."

"What did you mean you loved this life?"

"Structure, power, skill and the means to be great, to matter, out of my brother's shadow... it is great. Plus, I have to admit, adding the Strong Fist into my taijutsu style, even the basics, was awesome, No wonder Sasuke and Lee excelled so much. "

Danzo nodded. " I felt that way with Hiruzen, I do understand..." He sighed. "Now it is time for you to tap into Kyuubi's chakra, to see what you can do with it. Today is your first day in doing so."

Nodding, Kagami closed his eyes. 'Give me the basics, just the sliver I used to cut that barrier Orochimaru's henchmen set up.'

"Very well," Kyuubi said and power flooded his body, healing the bruises from his fight and the stress to his muscles. Cracking his joints, he stood tall and with a smile.

"So, let's get started."

"Go throw your katas, I want to see the increase in your power, then we have another prisoner for you to kill."

Kagami nodded, bloodlust in his heart from Kyuubi's chakra and his brain's desire for survival. "Yes sir."

Danzo smirked, beyond pleased. 'If this continues, he will become easily S rank by the time Orochimaru is one his next cycle of his reincarnation jutsu. He will be an easy target for Kagami... and then I can set things into motion.'

The, using Kyuubi's chakra, was easily strong enough to fight someone of Kakashi's level. He'd likely lose, in fact he was almost a hundred percent likely to die, but he would hold his own for a time. Without it the boy was about low Jonin level in some areas. He was a powerful Ninja for his age, and would only grow in strength...

Perhaps he might go on a mission early...

Yes... perhaps he might, but only if it was needed... to make a name for his false identity... and to test his loyalty. The boy's seal ensured he would be quiet, but loyal was another story. He would have to test that out.
