PS! In this story Damon is still a vampire.

Caroline found Klaus drinking his troubles away at the Grill.

"Hey, could you join me for a walk"

Klaus turned around to face his fiancé, "Of course, love, whatever you want".

"Klaus…"

"No, I get it. I know what you want to talk about. Let's just get it over with"

When they were out, walking the streets, Klaus was the one to start, "So, how was your reunion with Stefan? Did you sleep with him?"

Caroline stopped cold in the middle of a street and said angrily, "What? NO! I wouldn't do that to you. Is that what you think of me?"

Klaus was silent for a second, then asked, "So, why did you want to talk to me?"

Then they kept walking and Caroline opened up, "You know, I remember when you first came to mystic falls, I despised you. As you remember I constantly had to distract you so you wouldn't know what Stefan and Damon we're planning. But slowly and surely, You won me over. You were the enemy but I fell for you when I wasn't suppose to and against all my plans."

"I remember," Klaus chuckled, "But why are we rehashing the past?"

"Because we have a lot of history together and I need you to know how much you mean to me."

"But?"

"But as much as I love you, I have deeper feelings for Stefan. And now that he's back, I can't lie to myself and least of all you. So here," and Caroline handed her engagement ring to him, "I'm sorry".

Klaus was visibly angry when he pulled her to a nearby alley and pressing Caroline against a wall he said, "Someone said that everything before the word "but" is a bullshit."

And that was the last thing Caroline heard as everything went black.

When she woke up later that evening, she was surprised that she was in an unfamiliar room on a bed and soon she found Klaus sitting in an armchair near the bed.

"You vervained me? Where are we?"

"At a friend's house, pretty far from Mystic Falls. And don't try to escape. A friend of mine, a witch spelled it shut, you can't get out."'

"Are you crazy? You can't just kidnap me"

"Oh, yes, I can. You are just as crazy if you think you can just leave me for Stefan Salvatore"

"So what's the plan? You are gonna keep here forever and I'm suppose to be with you against my will"

"We are gonna stay here until you have decided to be with me willingly and then we are going to my house far from Mystic Falls to get married and start that life together that we have talked about"

"You are insane, If you think I will leave my family, my girls willingly`?"

"I was ready to do things your way but you threw that in my face, now we are gonna do it my way and I'm sorry that you loose some people in your life that love you, but you didn't leave me another choice,"

Then Klaus stood up and went to the door.

"Where are you going?"

"I'm going to fetch you something to eat, my love"

When the door went shut behind him, Caroline had to try the exits to see if Klaus was right. She tried the windows and saw that although on the second floor, she couldn't jump out. Then looking around the room, she found her cell on the floor.

When Caroline hadn't come home for dinner, everyone were a little panicking about her whereabouts, except for Stefan.

"I am telling you, she went to Klaus and by now they are probably on their honeymoon"

"She wouldn't leave without saying goodbye to the girls, Stefan" Bonnie stated.

"She wouldn't leave. Period." Elena said.

"I'm with Stefan, she's probably having hot sex with Klaus right about now." That was, of course, Damon's commentary.

Elena threw a book at him, "You are not helping, Damon"

To which Damon could only chuckle, when his cell phone rang and the display showed that it was Caroline.

"Hey, we were just talking about you"

"Oh, thank god, Damon. Klaus just kidnapped me. I don't know where I am and I can't get out because of a barrier spell keeping me in the house."

Damon pulled the phone from his ear for a second to swear more to himself than anyone else.

"Are you ok? Has he hurt you?"

"Who has hurt Caroline? What are you talking about?" Stefan interrupted but Damon had none of it.

"Stefan, please. Let me talk to her"

"No he's not hurting me. But he wants to keep me here indefinitely and he wants to cut me off from everyone including my girls and to start over with me far from Mystic Falls"

"Well, what did you say to him that drove him to this action?" Damon asked.

"I went to tell him that I chose Stefan."

Damon smiled to himself for a moment, "Ok, stay put, I'll come to get you"

Before Caroline could answer she heard Klaus returning, so she stopped the call and hid it underneath a matress.

"So what did she say?" Stefan asked his big brother.

"I have good news and bad news for you, stefan. The good news is that Caroline chose you Stefan but the bad news is that Klaus kidnapped her and is bit crazy"

Before Stefan could say anything, Damon turned to Bonnie, "Can you do a simple locator spell to find her`?"

"Yeah, I should be, but is she ok? He hasn't hurt her, has he"

"She's ok, Klaus loves her in his own crazy way, he wouldn't risk his life. I'm going to pack a bag for a little trip."

"I'm coming with you, Damon!" Stefan said.

"No you are not, you are just a human now, you can't help me. If you come, I have two mortals to worry about."

"Two?"

"Bonnie, I need you to come with me. Klaus has some witch using a barrier spell to keep her in, so I need you to lift it."

"Ok, sure, anything for Care"

When Damon was starting to walk away from the group, Stefan yelled "Damon, I am coming with you! If you try to stop me,"

"What, Stefan, what are you going to do to me?"

"Damon, please, it's Caroline!"

"Okay-okay, but you are Bonnie's to protect out there. If Bonnie is ok with it, then you can come."

Stefan and Damon both looked at Bonnie, one pleading her to say "Yes", the other one "NO".

"Sure, Stefan, you can come." Bonnie said, although part of her was still angry with Stefan for killing Enzo.

"She's near Chicago" Bonnie showed damon and stefan the location on the map.

"Ugh," Damon didn't try to hide his disgust, "Come on guys, let's go".
