A Song of Ice, Fire and the Dead

Chapter 4: In the Dead of Night.

The girls had almost immediately stripped off their sweaty and dirt stained clothes and made use of the bathroom to wash off the filth. Aegon, Takashi and Kohta had found some ammunition in the master bedroom of the maisonette and where there was ammunition, there was bound to be guns. At least according to Kohta's opinion.

The sounds of screaming, laughter and water splashing drifted from downstairs into the upper rooms and Takashi commented, "Sounds like they're having fun."

Kohta was fiddling with a crowbar they had jammed in-between the locker door and the frame and he said, "You wanna go have a peek? You know we're supposed to, right?" he suggested with a lewd grin in his eyes.

"I'm too young to die," Takashi said.

"What about you, Aegon? You wanna do the manly thing?" Kohta asked Aegon who smirked and replied, "Tell you what, Kohta. You go down first and have a peek, and if you come back alive and unscathed, I'll go have a look."

"Forget about that," Takashi said. "If there's nothing in here, I'm gonna be really pissed off!" he added as he cast a glance back at the boxes of ammunition.

"We found the ammunition, so there has to be something," Kohta said confidently.

"Either way, it's worth checking out," Aegon put in.

"Oh well, let's do it," Takashi announced as he, Aegon and Kohta braced their weight onto the crowbow and prepared to push.

"One, two, three!" The cried out together and with a screech of metal bending, they pried the door open and ended up falling over onto the floor. Aegon rubbed the front of his head with a groan of pain, thankful that there wasn't anything too damaging. Looking into the locker they had pried open, Aegon saw there was indeed something inside it.

"Well, well, there was something after all," the Valyrian remarked. Takashi looked at the interior of the locker and whistled lowly.

"Hello!"

Kohta looked inside and his smile became gleeful. "Hehehaha! I just knew it!" he crowed a disturbing looking smile on his lips.

"So this house belongs to Miss Shizuka's friend, right?" Takashi said. "Who the hell is she? Sarah fucking Palin?" he asked as he looked at the assortment of guns in the locker.

Kohta grabbed the first gun and looked down its sights. "Springfield M1-A1 Super Mach," he said to himself. "Semi-automatic, but the M-14 automatics just waste bullets anyway," he added. "I can put 20 bullets in the magazine! That's illegal in Japan! Illegal!" He giggled maniacally.

"Uh, Hirano?" Takashi asked the chubby boy with a look of concern on his face. Aegon put a hand on Takashi's shoulder and said to him, "He's in his own little world now, Takashi. Just let him be."

Kohta pulled out the next gun. "A Knight SR-25… no, you can't get that in Japan! So they just completely modified an AR1-10!" he said in excitement. "Next we have a crossbow! It's a descendant of the one Robin Hood used! Barnett Wildcat C-5, made in Britain. You can kill a bear with it!" he declared.

"Actually, from what I read, Robin Hood used a longbow, not a crossbow," Aegon interrupted Kohta who looked at him in confusion. "You're confusing Robin Hood with William Tell who used a crossbow," he informed the chubby boy.

"Really?" Kohta asked. "Huh… I think I can see that now. I can't believe I mixed those two up!" He fumed.

Takashi then pulled out the last gun from the locker and Kohta's eyes lit up at the sight of it. "That's an Ithaca M-37 riot shotgun!" he almost shouted. "It's a super-six shotgun made by Americans! It played a big part in the Vietnam War too!" he said.

"I see," Takashi mumbled as he looked down the sights at Kohta who screamed in fear. Aegon reacted quickly, grabbing the barrel and lowering it. "Damned fool! What if it was loaded?" Aegon chided Takashi who had the good grace to look sheepish.

"He's right. Don't put it at anyone, even when unloaded! But when you do? Shoot to kill!" Kohta told Takashi.

Takashi had a grim look of understanding and he said, "Roger that. I hope They're the only thing we need to pint these guns at."

"It's foolish to assume that They will be the only things that we need to kill," Aegon told Takashi and Kohta. "Remember what I said at the school: we'll need to make hard choices and have to live with them. That includes taking a human life," he said.

"Aegon's right, and besides, if I happen to get bitten, don't either of you think twice about putting me out of my misery," Kohta said with a dark smile.

Takashi had a wry grin on his lips and said, "Yeah. Same here."

"Then we understand each other?" Aegon said to them humorously. Takashi and Kohta nodded in agreement.

Kohta then began to load the clips with the ammunition. "Will you guys help too?" he asked Takashi and Aegon. "It's a pain in the ass to load the bullets," he told them.

"Did you practice with air-soft guns?" Takashi joked and Aegon chuckled at the joke.

Kohta gave a grin and replied, "Nope, with the real ones!"

Takashi and Aegon looked at Kohta in astonishment. "Are you serious?! You've handled a real piece before?!" Takashi asked Kohta.

"When I went to America, I trained under a private militia, the Blackhawks for a month from their drill-instructor," Kohta said. "He was an ex-captain of Delta Force," he added proudly.

"Good Gods, Kohta! This is a side I've never seen of you before!" Aegon exclaimed. "What else are you hiding?" he asked.

"Yeah, I'm glad we're on the same side!" Takashi said.

"Yeah~" Kohta murmured.

"But what about these guns? I mean, they're definitely illegal, aren't they?" Takashi asked.

"I'd say so," Aegon agreed. "Question is who owns them," he then said.

"Well, it's legal to purchase these guns in parts, but it is illegal if you assemble them this way," Kohta informed them. "Whoever lives here definitely knows what they're doing, and that makes sense to me since Miss Shizuka said her friend was in the military," he said.

"So you can get away with this as long as you're a cop?" Takashi said.

"It's obvious the person who lives isn't an ordinary citizen," Kohta said. "Unmarried police officer's usually live in the Dorms, but if they're renting a place like this?" he added. "Either their parents are rich, the man they're dating is rich or they're taking some sort of bribe," he then said.

"Well, it doesn't matter too much right now," Aegon said. "We've now got some weapons, that's all we need to know," he added.

Then some loud screams from the bathroom caught their attention and Kohta said, "They should probably keep it down in there."

Takashi had moved over to the balcony and looked through a pair of binoculars. "It's okay. We know They respond to sound, but They're not hearing the girls," he said as he looked through the binoculars. Over on the bridge in the distance, lights illuminated it there appeared to be a large crowd on it. Takashi handed the binoculars to Kohta. "I'm getting sick, here you can take a look if you want," he said tired as he handed over the binoculars to Kohta who looked through them.

"There's a scene from Apocalypse Now that reminds me of this," the chubby boy muttered to himself before something caught his attention. "Eh?" he uttered.

"What is it?" Aegon asked Kohta who replied, "Turn on the TV."

Takashi picked up the remote and turned on the plasma screen TV which showed a live news report of what was happening on the bridge. There looked to be some sort of protest demonstration led by a man wearing a hardhat declaring that the killing pandemic was the work of a conspiracy between the Americans and the Japanese government. It was the protestors belief that it was a biological weapon.

"Are they serious?! What biological weapon?!" Takashi shouted in disbelief. "They know damn well that no kind of science can explain why the dead walk around eating the living!" he said angrily.

"Which means that group is a bunch of bona-fide fanatics," Kohta said. "Either that, or they're sick in the head," he added.

"They're looking for someone to blame for this crisis," Aegon said. "And the government is a good target as any," he added grimly.

"Leftists, y'know?" Kohta said dryly.

"Leftists are often fanatical and sick in the head," Takashi remarked. "Just as much as conservatives," he then said.

"I'm surprised to hear you say that, Komuro," Kohta pointed out.

Takashi sighed and said, "Some of my mom's colleagues are left-wing activists, even now. They're anti-war pacifists who would see bullying in schoolyard and ignore it."

"Sounds charming," Aegon commented. "What does your mother do?" he then asked Takashi.

"She's a first grade teacher at Onbetsu Elementary across the river," replied Takashi. "But as long as she has her students, she won't run away. She's not that kind of person," he said confidently.

"So your mother is a left-wing like her colleagues? After all that you said about them?" Aegon asked Takashi.

"As if! When my mom was young-" Takashi tried to say when a gunshot interrupted them. Looking at the TV, they saw police officer's fired on the Them. The protest mob leader then began spouting some nonsense that the authorities were now killing at random. Then the lead police officer marched towards the mod leader and spoke to him. The last scene was the police officer shooting the mob leader in the head before the screen went to static.

"Seven hells!" Aegon cursed in disbelief.

"This is insane!" Kohta uttered.

Takashi turned off the TV and spoke. "We need to get the fuck outta here," he said.

"Bad idea," Aegon shot it down. "We could run into Them in the dark," he said.

Suddenly, a pair of arms reached and wrapped themselves around Takashi. Aegon and Kohta leapt to their feet thinking one of Them had gotten in somehow. But to their relief, it only turned out to be Shizuka and that relief was quickly soured when they saw that the nurse was wearing on a white bath towel and was clearly drunk if the way her cheeks were red and her giggles were any indication. The drunk nurse tried to grope Takashi's crotch, her large breasts mashing against his shoulder as she tried to press a kiss to his cheek. Aegon sighed irritably as he pulled the nurse off Takashi.

"Shizuka, are you drunk?" he asked.

"No~ officer!" the blonde giggled as she tried to kiss Aegon who pushed her down onto the bed, but in doing so he groped her breasts causing her to cry out. Aegon blanched and removed his hands.

"Sorry!"

But Shizuka's attention suddenly focussed on Kohta who was staring at the half-naked blonde. "Kohta darling!" she giggled.

"Me? Darling?" Kohta laughed awkwardly before Shizuka pressed her lips to Kohta's cheek in a kiss. Blood sprayed out of the chubby boy's nose and he keeled over. Shizuka licked her bottom, giggling and looking satisfied with herself. Sighing tiredly, Aegon spoke to the drunken nurse sternly.

"Miss Shizuka, you need to keep it down. Please, go downstairs," the Valyrian told her.

"No! No way! I'm gonna stay here just like this!" Shizuka argued before she suddenly slumped over in a stupor. Aegon groaned in frustration and he looked at Takashi. "C'mon, let's get this drunk downstairs," he said to Takashi. Looking over at Kohta who had picked himself up off the floor a dazed smile on his face, Aegon said to him, "Kohta, keep a look out."

"Huh? Oh, uh, sure~" came Kohta's dazed response.

"How are we gonna do this?" Takashi asked Aegon with apprehension on his face.

"I'll take her legs and you take her shoulders," Aegon told him and they quickly hoisted Shizuka up by her legs and shoulders. But then Aegon nearly lost his grip on Shizuka's legs and in a fit of desperation, he grabbed Shizuka by her buttocks causing her to cry out.

"Oh! You're touching my butt!" the drunk nurse exclaimed and she looked up at Aegon with hooded eyes. "If you wanna touch me more, come see me later~" she offered.

"Maybe another time," Aegon replied nervously as they carried Shizuka towards the stairs.

"If this was any other time or any other place, this'd be so fucking hot!" Takashi muttered as they carried Shizuka.

"Am I interrupting anything?" asked a voice and standing the stairwell was Rei, dressed down in a pink nightie and tight little shorts, a look of vindication on her face.

"Lady Rei, and no, you're not interrupting anything," Aegon said to the brunette.

"But if this was another time?" Takashi said with a wistful look on his face.

"Hey~! You look really good in threes!" Aegon and Takashi then looked at Rei who now had a look of drunkenness on her face. "All of a sudden there are a bunch you!" she exclaimed as she fell onto her ass, a look of sadness on her face.

"Lady Rei? Are you alright?" Aegon asked.

"I… I guess I'm just exhausted," the girl replied. "It's only been one day, and everything's gone topsy-turvy… and Hisashi died!" She began sobbing, covering her eyes as tears began to pour from them.

Aegon sighed before looking at Takashi and said to him, "I'll take Miss Shizuka downstairs. Rei looks like she needs some comfort right now." Carrying Shizuka bridal style, Aegon carried the now sleeping nurse downstairs and into the lounge room where he lay Shizuka on the carpeted floor and covered her with a blanket. Sighing to himself, Aegon then noticed Saya asleep on the sofa, wearing a light blue cropped tank top and short-shorts. The pinkette shifted in her sleep which made her breasts move in an interesting way. His cheeks going red, Aegon stood up and headed into the kitchen, hoping he could find something to eat and take his mind off of things.

Opening the fridge, Aegon perused the selection of drinks when a voice called to him. "Aegon?" It was Saeko's voice. "Late night dinner will be ready soon, and I've made lunches for tomorrow," she said.

Picking a boxed fruit juice, Aegon said, "Thank you, Lady Saeko, you're taking very good- uhh…" Aegon stopped dead when saw the absolute vision before him.

Saeko Busujima, her indigo purple hair done a high ponytail and wearing not much other than a black thong and white apron. Aegon was treated to see the smooth pale slopes of Saeko's back and her fine delectable rear which sat high and proud which then gave way to long smooth legs.

Saeko noticed Aegon staring. "What's wrong?" she asked him.

"Um… n-nothing! What else could it be?" Aegon replied as he felt the blood in his head rush down south and he could feel his manhood growing hard at the sight of Saeko in her current state.

"Oh? This old thing?" Saeko asked as she realised what Aegon was staring at. "Yeah, terrible isn't it? I could find anything that fits me so I'm making do, but I guess it's a little revealing," she said sheepishly.

"No! It's no problem!" Aegon choked out as he tried to will his erection into not showing itself through his pants. "There doesn't appear to be any sort of threat from Them but we don't know when if They'll attack!" he said quickly.

Saeko smiled and replied, "I put absolute faith in the men who have protected us so far, and such men deserve appreciation. And if I can show you my appreciation, I will," she said.

Aegon tried not to blush as he heard that sentence and he tried hard not to think about the implied subtext in that offer. Deciding the change the subject he asked, "So, what's for dinner?"

Saeko smiled and replied, "We some sushi of all sorts if you're hungry," she offered. Taking a seat, Aegon watched as Saeko prepared him some sushi. Saeko worked smoothly and with natural ease as she rolled the sushi rolls and cut them into even pieces. Putting some on a plate with a small dish of soy sauce, ginger and wasabi, Saeko said to Aegon, "Bon appetite."

Aegon then picked up the first sushi piece and looked at it; this one appeared to be a basic crab roll. Popping it into his mouth and chewing, Aegon sighed in relief as the first thing he had eaten in almost a day made its way into his stomach. Picking up another piece, Aegon dipped it into the soy sauce and put a little ginger and wasabi onto it before eating it. The subtle sweetness of the ginger mingled with the soy sauce and countered the fiery heat of the wasabi.

"Good?" Saeko asked Aegon who nodded and replied, "This is excellent, Lady Saeko. You're quite a cook," he complimented her.

"Thank you. I do try," Saeko said with a smile on her lips.

"You'd make a good wife one day," Aegon said offhandedly before he realised how sexist that sounded and he made to apologise. Saeko cut him off with, "Are you offering, Aegon?" she asked with a teasing grin on her lips as she leaned across the countertop, giving Aegon a glimpse of paradise that existed in the valley of her cleavage.

"I… uh…," Aegon stuttered out. "I didn't imply…" he tried to say.

"I know," Saeko replied. "It's just funny seeing you stumble on your own words around me," she said with a giggle. Aegon coughed and sat up straighter and said, "I apologise, Lady Saeko," he said stiffly.

"Don't be, you didn't offend me by any means," Saeko replied. "And please, call me Saeko," she then said.

"Of course… Saeko," Aegon said nervously. "If we're to be informal, then I insist you call me Egg," he added.

"Very well, Egg," Saeko said smoothly. "Still hungry?" she then asked him and Aegon nodded. Aegon was then treated to some other kinds of sushi that Saeko had preparedwhen the sudden barking of a dog outside alerted them.

"Was that a dog?" Saeko asked.

"Some things never change I suppose," Aegon said sagely when the sound of a shotgun firing set them on edge.

"Did… did Takashi or Kohta do that?" Aegon asked as he got up from his seat and hurried upstairs with Saeko following him behind him.

"What are two doing?" Aegon asked Takashi and Kohta when he found them out on the balcony. "I thought we weren't going to shoot?" he then said.

"It wasn't us," Kohta replied grimly and he jerked his head down towards the streets below. Aegon looked down below and he took a sharp intake of air as he saw what was below.

Them. Hordes of Them. Shuffling down the streets, attacking survivors who had fled.

"Seven hells, I thought we'd be safe for the night," Aegon exclaimed in frustration. Saeko looked down the binoculars before speaking.

"It's worse. It's getting much worse," she said simply as she turned around to walk back inside.

"Dammit! I can't stand it!" Takashi growled as he grabbed the shotgun.

"Komuro!" Kohta stopped.

"What?!" Takashi replied.

"What are you gonna accomplish by shooting?" Kohta asked bluntly.

"Isn't it obvious?" Takashi replied. "I'll shoot them and protect the house!" he declared when Aegon cut him off sternly.

"Idiot. Think clearly for a moment. They react to sound," Aegon reminded him. "If you start shooting Them, They'll come in swarms," he said.

"Egg is right, Komuro," Saeko said swiftly. "And not just Them, the living will hear as well and come here looking for shelter and for us. We need to stay in the dark," she added as she turned off the lights in the bedroom.

Offering the binoculars to Takashi, Saeko said to him, "We're not capable of saving everyone out there. So take a good look out there and you'd better get used to it. We can't survive on chivalry alone," she said.

Takashi took the binoculars from Saeko as she made to leave the room. "I thought that out of all of us, you'd look at things a little differently," he said accusingly to Saeko who stopped to look at him.

"Don't misunderstand me. I'm not being cruel," she replied. "I'm sorry, Komuro, but this is just the way things are right now," she said. "I'm not saying I like it," she added softly before heading downstairs.

Aegon laid a comforting hand on Takashi's shoulder and said to him, "Saeko is correct, Takashi. This is how things are now. We don't have to like it, but we must learn to live in it."

Takashi nodded at Aegon looking saddened but accepting and he crouched down low and peered over the railing through the binoculars.

"Try to be quiet when you check things out down there," Kohta reminded him.

Aegon stepped back inside and headed downstairs to check on everyone else. Rei was currently sitting on the stairs, deep in thought and Saya and Shizuka were both still asleep in the living room. Saeko was back in the kitchen preparing food. Heading to the front hallway, Aegon picked up his sword and buckled it to his hip, feeling the familiar comforting weight of Valyrian steel on his hip again. Heading back into the kitchen, Aegon found Saeko washing up some utensils and cooking pots and preparing some packed lunches.

"Need any help?" he asked her. Saeko looked at him with a smile and nodded in confirmation. Aegon then began helping wash the cooking utensils as Saeko prepared lunches and packed everything else into Tupperware containers to take with them.

Then a sound a gun firing much closer alerted them. "Gods! Again?!" Aegon asked and he saw Takashi heading down the stairs putting on his school jacket.

"Takashi? What's going on?" Aegon asked the boy and he was joined by Rei and Saeko.

"There's a little girl in trouble, I'm going to rescue her," Takashi said to Aegon and he lowered his head a little. "I'm sorry. I guess I'm just not that kind of man," he added bitterly.

"You needn't be, Takashi," Aegon said with a smile. "It's good to know there are still some good men left in this world," he added.

"Takashi, let me come with you to help!" Rei said tugging on Takashi's arm.

"No. Stay here and be on the lookout," Takashi said to her. "I'll go there on the bike, I'll be fine," he added.

"By bike? But you'll…" Rei tried to say when Aegon cut her off.

"His mind is made up, Lady Rei. Let him be a man," the Valyrian said to her. Looking at Takashi, Aegon said to him, "Don't worry about this place or everyone else. Saeko and I will hold down the fort."

"I'll be back as soon as I can," Takashi replied. Rei then stopped him, holding out the police pistol. "Take this with you at least," she told him. Takashi took it from and nodded his head.

Heading outside, Takashi prepared the bike while Aegon, Saeko and Rei prepared a makeshift ramp and prepared the gate to open.

"Don't rely on the gun, Takashi," Aegon said to Takashi. "If you fire a shot, They'll come at you in swarms," he explained.

"Either way the bike will make a helluva a lot of noise," Takashi said dryly.

"True enough, but a gunshot is stationary," said Saeko. "A bike makes noise because it's moving," she added.

Takashi flicked on the lights of the bike and slipped on some fingerless gloves, readying himself for what he was about to do.

Aegon and Saeko prepared to open the gate. Rei looked at Takashi and asked him, "Ready?"

Takashi nodded, and Rei nodded and Aegon and Saeko who then removed the bar holding the gate in place. Takashi then started the engine revving it a few times. Wrenching the door open, Aegon and Saeko watched as Takashi zoomed past them, the bike soaring up into the air, over the hordes of Them. Landing on the road with a squeal of rubber on asphalt, Takashi sped off down the street. Shots fired from the balcony as Kohta used one of the guns to clear the way for Takashi.

"Go get 'em, Takashi," Aegon said quietly. Then suddenly Saya joined them looking tired and irritated.

"What the hell? What's with all the racket?" the pinkette demanded.

"Something good happened, Lady Saya," Aegon replied.

Saya had a flat unimpressed look on her face. "Like what?" she deadpanned.

"We're still human beings after all," Rei said with a smile. Saya gave a scoff before heading back inside.

"We need to get out of here. It's no longer safe to remain here," Aegon then said to Saeko and Rei.

"Agreed," Saeko said nodding her head. "We have supplies we need to move and the vehicle Miss Shizuka's friend left here will be our only means of transporting it all," she added.

"We'd best get started then," Aegon said as they headed inside. Then Aegon stopped head as he saw Shizuka naked following after Saya who looked even more irritated then before.

Saeko saw where Aegon was looking and put a finger to his jaw, closing it. "Eyes on the job, Egg," she reminded him.

"I'll… wait outside," he said in a small voice. "I'll… make sure none of Them come near," he mumbled.

"You do that, Egg," Saeko said with an amused smile on her face. Aegon shuffled off outside and Saeko watched him leave. Rei then coughed to get Saeko's attention.

"Something the matter?" Saeko asked her.

"No. Just thinking is all," Rei replied with a teasing smile on her face.

"Thinking about what?" Saeko asked in confusion.

"Oh, nothing really. Just thinking how cute it is you called Aegon that little nickname," Rei said slyly.

"It's the name he told me to call him by," Saeko said calmly.

"Really? Didn't think you were such good friends with him," Rei said looking like the cat that got the cream.

"I am becoming good friends with Egg, but any more than that remains to be seen," Saeko said calmly.

"Well, if I wasn't with Takashi, I know I'd be after Aegon," Rei said slyly.

"Is there something you wanted, Miyamoto?" Rei grinned at the defensive look on Saeko's face, knowing she had successfully pushed the right buttons.

"No, nothing else, Saeko," Rei said with a cheery grin. "Let's hurry and get ready," she added helpfully.

Aegon waited by the gate, watching for any of the undead that may encroach on the gate. Looking over the wall, he saw that the undead hordes had converged further up the road, presumably following Takashi. Aegon was then struck with the thought of how Takashi was going to make it back to them. There were too many of Them to fight through, and although the Humvee looked to be a sturdy mode of transportation, it was highly doubtful it could plough through that many of undead.

Saeko joined Aegon outside. "How's it looking out here?" she whispered to him.

"This area is clear for the moment, but it appears Takashi will be cut off from us," Aegon whispered back. "I don't know how Takashi will be able to get back to us," he added grimly.

The pair were then joined by Rei, Saya and Shizuka.

"What's going on?" Saya asked Aegon and Saeko.

"The area is clear for us to claim the Humvee, but Takashi…" Aegon sighed as he gestured down the road. Saya leaned out and gave a slight gasp.

"At that rate he won't be able to come back, even with the bike!" the pinkette exclaimed.

"If so, then we have no choice but to go get him," Shizuka said in a sleepy voice as she put on a button-up shirt and short skirt. Everyone looked at her in surprise.

"Do you… do you guys think that's a bad idea?" Shizuka asked clapping her hands to her cheeks. "I mean, I've got the car keys and everything!" she said.

"A splendid idea," Aegon said to her reassuringly. "I'd suggest the same," he added.

"Yeah! Hell of a plan! We rescue Komuro and haul ass to the other side of the river!" Saya said boldly. "C'mon! Get ready!"

"We've got tons of stuff, I wonder if it'll fit?" Shizuka said as she looked at the supplies they had gathered from the house.

"What if They come attack while we're loading?" Rei asked.

"Then we do it as quietly as we can, like thieves on a heist," Aegon said firmly.

"Let's do it that way then," Saeko said as she opened the gate slowly and quietly. Aegon drew Blackfyre and held it ready in his hands and Saeko held her bokken ready. The pair of them would guard the others as they loaded the supplies into the Humvee.

As Shizuka worked out the controls of the Humvee, Saya and Rei loaded the supplies into the back of the car. "Where's Hirano?" Saya hissed suddenly.

"He might still be upstairs gathering the weapons and ammunition," Aegon said to her. Saya gave an irritated growl and made to head back inside.

"Geez! I don't know if he's sharp or slow!" the fiery pinkette groused when she was suddenly surprised by Kohta. Kohta was carrying all the guns and ammunition with him with a pair of flashlights strapped to his head.

Everyone stared at the chubby boy in surprise. "What? What's the matter?" he asked.

"You look like you're enjoying yourself way too much," Saya said faintly.

Kohta gave a grin and replied, "This is nothing compared to Komuro."

"What do you mean?" Aegon asked him.

"Take a look for yourself," Kohta replied as he handed the binoculars to him. Looking through them and seeing Takashi, Aegon gave a chuckle as he saw Takashi along with a little girl and dog walking on the walls..

"Well, I'll be. Lad has more balls than I do," the Valyrian said with a grin on his lips.

"Get in the car already!" Saya ordered them.

Instead of getting directly into the car, Aegon climbed onto the roof and Saeko joined him. Kohta stood up in the Humvee in the gunner port. Shizuka started the engine and with the sound of rubber crunching onto asphalt, they drove towards Takashi's position. The Humvee lights illuminated the undead. Aegon and Saeko crouched low as the car ploughed through Them, sending the undead wretches flying into the air. The car turned and slid with a squeal of rubber and faced an empty alleyway. Aegon and Saeko leapt off the car and they began to clear away a few of the undead that shuffled towards them. Aegon slashed off the heads of Them and Saeko crushed Their heads with her bokken. Rei and Saya appeared in the gunner port.

"Takashi! Hurry up!" Rei shouted at the boy who shouted back, "Easier said than done!"

"Hirano! Buy us some time!" Saya ordered Kohta who gleefully aimed his shotgun at the undead and fired. The explosion of sound and flash of flame as the buckshot pellets hit the nearest undead and the effect was immediate as They were knocked over producing a domino effect, laying out all the undead onto the ground. Giving a maniacal laugh, Kohta fired another shotgun shell and sent another undead flying. Aegon and Saeko cleared away a few more of Them leaving the way clear.

Climbing back onto the Humvee with Saeko, Aegon shouted to Takashi. "All aboard! Now departing for other side of the river! You getting in?"

"Ha! Of course I am!" Takashi shouted as he leapt from the wall onto the roof of the carand helped the little slung around his back onto the car. Kohta greeted the little girl with a smile.

"Nice to meet you. I'm Kohta," the boy introduced himself to the girl. Saya then gave Shizuka the signal to drive and with a jerk, the Humvee sped off down the alleyway. The sudden jerk made Kohta fall into the Humvee with the little landing and crushing his manhood. Takashi was suddenly forced into Rei's cleaveage and Saeko fell into Aegon's chest knocking onto his back. Aegon grunted and he looked at Saeko, suddenly realising how close her face was. Saeko seemed to realise that too as there was a blush on her cheeks. Aegon made to say something gallant when Saeko pulled back and sat, looking a little embarrassed. Aegon sat up as well and he suddenly realised there was a lump in his pants. Suddenly understanding that Saeko must've felt that very lump, Aegon rubbed the back of his head sheepishly and looked at Saeko awkwardly who smiled at him nervously.

Deciding not to say anything to spare themselves the humiliation, Aegon sat on the Humvee, looking across the city that was slowly being illuminated by the golden orange fingers of dawn.

TO BE CONTINUED…

A/N: There! The fourth chapter of this done and dusted! I crammed both In the Dead of Night episode, and Dead Night & Dead Ruck episode into this chapter and I hope I didn't disappoint you all and if it's not up to par, then I apologise for that.

Anyway, been thinking lately. One of my reviewers suggested that some GoT/ASOIAF characters show up in this story, and I agree completely. In fact, I've think I've got the perfect characters to throw into this story. Who they are is up to all of you to guess :-P And like I planned this story will crossover into Witcher and Fallout. I've got the Witcher part planned out as it will involve a Witcher series character showing up in the next couple of chapters (have fun guessing who :-P) but I'm trying to decide the Fallout side of things.

I'm trying to decide which of the Fallout series I'll be crossing over into; lately and I know some of you won't agree, I've been thinking of Fallout 76, for a couple of reasons such as the Scorched Plague and all that. That's one potential idea banging around in my head, the other two are New Vegas and Fallout 4 for technology shenanigans such as Big MT and the Institute, but I'm more inclined to Fallout 76 because of the Scorched and I've gotten some ideas for characters and also because of the Wastelanders update/DLC.

Also, some of you may have noticed I've set up a romance poll for my Infinity Convergence Crisis story and so far, tied for first place are Wonder Woman, Power Girl, Starfire, Black Cat and Zatanna. I won't go into the others, but the ones I just mentioned are tied for first place, so if you have a particular girl you want to see take the top spot, then you know what to do :-D.

Anyways, that's about it from me, so I'll just leave this here and I'll see you all next time.

Be kind to one another,

Angry lil' elf.
