Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto. So don't stop to ask or sue me.
LW: Hey y'all! Long time no see, or so to speak. Here's the little story I said I was gonna do. This one is dedicated to Haruno Sakura! As much as I dislike her, this isn't a hate fic. But it doesn't have a happy ending either! But it is sort of like a side story to No Longer…yeah. Well, enjoy!
Warning: No Sakura-bashing…yeah I know.
Sakura's Story: The Yearning Within My Heart
Today was her thirteenth birthday…and none of her teammates were there to enjoy it with her.
Sakura sighted softly before allowing a single tear to fall. Even though she promised to be stronger, it was still lonely and loneliness was saddening.
Naruto had left a year ago and Sasuke, before that. Not to mention…the death of Hyuuga Hinata. It was the shock of the decade and many mourned the sweet quiet girl's death.
Sakura stared into her clasped gloved hands as she leaned forward on herbalcony.
It was stupid, she thought. So stupid.
Sakura covered her face in regret. That saying was right.
It is when you're left with nothing that you realized what's really important.
When its already too late.
Sakura stared up to the cresent moon in the night sky. It was when her teammates and she separated and later on triggered by Hinata's death, that she realized what really mattered…
"Oh Naruto…Please come back safe. Come back soon so we can save Sasuke and defeat that snake…so I can finally tell you…something you've been wanting to hear." Sakura smiled sadly at the night sky, the sky that was as dark as Naruto's sad blue eyes the day Sasuke went away.
"Come back so I can tell you how much I've grown…"
The crickets began their little ceremonial song for the gentle wind.
"…to love you."
Ending Comment: Yeah Yeah Yeah! I know that this is a little short but so what. This is all you'll be getting from me! Next is Shikamaru's lil' story: The Sky Cries for Me.
