"Hey Kuroka! Haven't you heard the news?" One of the female students asked me. I, Kuroka, was in Kuoh's Junior High Academy where Rias and the rest of her members currently attend. It was currently homeroom so we could talk while we waited for the teacher to arrive and start class. Apparently, there has been some news that I wasn't aware of.
"News? News about what?" I asked her.
"Turns out that there's going to be a new building for the high-school division," she told me. "Not only that, it turns out all of the schools are going to be co-ed schools after the construction."
"That means that we'll be the very first group of students in a co-ed school once we enter high school," another female student next to her said. "Don't you find that exciting?"
"Umm… Sure, I guess…" I replied. Then again, human men don't really stand out to me. The only males I ever talk to are the ones I grant their wishes to. Even the high class people or very rich ones don't seem very interesting. I always thought that all males in general were just selfish bastards.
"Haa.. I expected no less from you from Kuroka. You are a part of Rias's little entourage." The female students would say.
"I gotta say, that second year is popular. Along with the Himejima girl, they're basically running the entire school…" the other one said. Well, Rias's family does own this entire territory. Then again, our nighttime activities don't really affect much during the day…
"By the way, what are they going to do with the old school building?"
"Who knows. They're probably going to tear it down."

"Alright everyone, I want everyone to meet our new members of the now currently revived Kuoh's Occult Research Club, Isaiah and Tosca." Rias would say to everyone in the room, which consists of me, Shirone, Akeno, and now Isaiah and Tosca, Rias's new pieces. It's currently the end of the regular school day, but some kids do stay behind for club activities, like what I'm doing. The club is just a front so that we can have a base of operations in the human world instead of jumping between here and in the Underworld. We were using one of the home economics to hold today's club meeting. Both Tosca and Isaiah would get up from their seats and face everyone.
"H-Hello everyone… I'm Tosca. But I guess all of you probably knew my name already. And I'm a pawn. It's a pleasure to meet you all." Tosca would say as she bows towards everyone.
"Hello. My name is Isaiah. I am the new Knight of Rias's peerage. It's a pleasure to meet you all," he said as he bows to everyone.
"Since the two of you are new, we will refrain the both of you from doing any contracts," Rias said as she pulled out a small piece of paper from her pocket. "Instead, I'm going to let the both of you hand out these small flyers around town, putting these in people's mailboxes like some type of spam mail."
"Huh? You mean that people don't draw out circles themselves to summon you–well, us…" Tosca asked.
"No, not really. People back then were able to draw out circles to summon us, but as the world continues to advance and people grew lazy to put in the time to actually draw out an actual circle. So now we just hand these out to people who have a lot of greed." Rias explained. "Usually we have our familiars do this job, but I figure this should be a simple job for the both of you."
"Umm… is…do you…I mean we, still take peoples' souls when you grant them their wish?" Tosca asked Rias.
"People's souls? That's more of a demon thing than a devil. Us devils trade with our contractors with things like antique objects. That's how us devils do business." Rias explained. "Plus, the Gremory Family don't really have much use with people's souls."
"Oh… I see."
"Any more questions?"
"N-No ma'am"
"Good. Akeno would help the both of you get set up later. As for now, I have a bit of news for everyone." Rias said. "We now have a new base of operations that would help for the next couple of years." She then used her magic to make a projection appear on the floor before us. It looked like the current school building of the high school.
"Kuroka, you might know about the news that Kuoh Academy is getting a new school building built for next year, right?" She asked me.
"Kinda. Some of my classmates were talking about it this morning, meow." I replied. "The only thing I know about it is that they're making a bigger building and it's becoming a co-ed school afterwards.
"That's right. Not only that, after the construction, we can use the old building for the new Occult Research Club!" This news nearly made everyone besides herself and Akeno fall out of their seat.
"Wait, the ENTIRE building is ours?! How the hell is that even
possible?!" I yelled.
"Oh, you didn't know? My father is part of the administration team, so it was easy enough to ask him to reserve the building for us. Plus, I think the building should have enough space for our devil work." She explained.
"Wait, there's even devils in the human school systems? And it's your own father no less?" Isaiah asked her.
"Yup. Devils lived in this town for a long time, even before I was born so it's not hard for them to integrate themselves within human society and governments. But since we do outlive most humans, we tend to choose to resign before then. This is my father's second year on the school board," she explained. "But that's a story for another day, so as of tomorrow the club meetings will now be conducted there."
["Yes Vice President."] Everyone would reply.
"Good, now with that first piece of business out of the way, Kuroka. I think the time is right." She said to me, and I know what she means.
"Yeah, I guess it is," I said. I got up off of my seat before walking towards Shirone. "Shirone, are you ready?"
"Eh? Ready for what?"
"To make your very first pact."
