A giant crimson circle was made on the ground before us. It made the room glow bright red. Akeno had a smaller version of the circle projected in front of her , manipulating some of the writing with her finger. While she was doing that, Shirone was pulled to the side by Rias for other precautions before jumping. Isaiah and Tosca were watching from the side along with me.

"Umm… M-Miss Kuroka. What exactly is going on?" Tosca asked me.

"They're preparing Shirone to jump alone." I told her. "Before then, Shirone needed the help from me or Akeno to go from here back to the underworld due to not being able to control her demonic magic. It's one of the main problems with reincarnated devils."

"Is it hard for devils to control their demonic magic?"

"Without the proper training or any knowledge on how to use it, then it could lead to multiple disasters, at worse, you might end up as a stray devil due to killing your own master. That or killing yourself in the process." To be honest, it's one of the main reasons I didn't want Shirone to become a devil in the first place. I'm afraid that she would let the power get to her head too quickly. Luckily for all of us, that hasn't happened yet. "Anyways, don't let what I said get to your head. Things I explained rarely happen anyway. Plus learning how to jump is something that even young children can learn," I told her. A little while later, the circle on the ground begins to glow brightly before shining in a bright white light. The energy emitting from it feels like Shirone's in a way.

"My, my. It's only the beginning of the night and little Shirone already got a job," Akeno said. She then takes a closer look at the circle on the ground, reading the demonic text surrounding it. "And it's a very simple one as well. Looks like someone needed some pictures taken," she explained. "Ah, I think this is one of my old contractors as well…"

"Well, if it's one of Akeno's contractors, then it shouldn't be a problem for you, right Kuroka ?" Rias asked me.

"That's going to depend. Akeno does get a lot of questionable customers from time to time," I said.

"Don't worry, I'm sure she'll be just fine with this one. If it was one of my regulars, it wouldn't react to her magic, now would it?" Akeno said.

"No, you do have a point…"

" If Akeno said that it was safe, then you should take her word for it, okay?" Rias told me.

"...Haa… alright, I'll back off a little bit," I said. "But if anything does happen to her, I'm holding you both accountable."

"Don't worry. You have our word." Rias said. "Shirone, we can send you over if you're ready."

"Oh, I-I'm ready." Shirone said as she made her way to the middle of the circle. The magic began to glow brighter and brighter as she made her way to the center of it. It only took a second before the magic began to surround her body as it was linking with her personal magic.

"Don't forget, complete the contract with the client. And also do your best!" Rias said before the room shined brightly When the light dimmed, she was nowhere to be seen.

"Looks like the jump was a success," Akeno said as she pulled out a digital pad. "It wouldn't be too long until she gets back, but if anything were to happen, we have the location of where she is and can jump to her if needed."

"Haa… now I have no fear of trying to find out where she is." I said as I slumped down in a nearby chair. "By the way Akeno, what is this guy's name anyway?" I asked her.

"Oh, if my memory serves me correctly I think his name is Morisawa. He works as a photographer and makes commissions off of it. Ah, but you don't have to worry. He only gets hired by family clothing brands and childrens manga magazines ," Akeno said.

"That's the least of my concerns, but thanks anyway, meow." I told her. It was then that the floor began to glow again.

"Oh, she's coming back already?" Tosca asked. The circle began to glow a bright red before suddenly changing its color to a bright purple.

"No, I guess somebody's wish is connected to me in some way." I said as I got up from my seat and headed towards the circle. "Hey Akeno, is there anything I need to know before jumping?" I asked her. She looked at the circle herself before making a couple of taps on her tablet.

"Not a lot per say. It looks like your average married couple with a child. And the wish is something to do with the kid," she informed me.

"Really then? I guess I'll look into this one. Let me know when Shirone gets back." I then walk to the middle of the circle before using both it's and my magic to teleport out of the clubroom.

The place I arrived at seemed like a living room of an average cookie cutter house. It had a small coffee table in the middle with two long couches on each side of it. On the left, it has a set of stairs leading to an upper section. On the table, I saw one of our leaflets used for humans to summon us. When I continued to look around the place, I heard something coming down the stairs. A man and a woman were coming down the stairs when they saw me.

"Umm… are you the devil, by chance?" The woman asked me.

"Yes. I'm taking that one of you is the one that summoned me, correct?" I asked them. The man continued down the stairs ahead of the woman.

"A-Actually, it was the both of us. My name is Gorou Hyoudou. And this is my wife Miki," he said.

"And the reason we summoned you is because something weird has happened to our son," she explained.

"Weird?"

"Yes. Not even most doctors could even make most sense of it," he said. "But I guess it would be better to show you. He's just upstairs." Gorou said as the both of them turned around and went back up the stairs, so I decided to follow them. There were a lot of pictures of these two with a young child in them. They were smiling in each of them... Anyways, after we made it up the stairs they led me to a door in front of the stairway. Now once up here, I began to sense something going on from beyond the door. There is a human life force inside, most likely their son, but there's also this weird, supernatural power with it as well. It didn't feel strong, but it's far from weak. Gorou walks up to the door and opens it before taking a peek inside. "Issei… are you up son?" He asked inside the room. It took a while, but a weak voice soonly answered him.

"Yeah.. I'm still awake…"

"Okay, me and your mother have someone that we want you to see." He then motioned us with his hand to allow us inside the room. The inside of the room seemed normal. There were a couple of shelves against the walls, a desk near the window, and the bed where a boy was trying to sit up in. He was at least Isaiah's age. His hair and eyes were the same shade of brown like his father and mother. His face was also a reddish color, and he had a wet cloth on top of his head.

"Is he sick?" I asked them.

"Terribly," Miki replied. "He was like this for nearly a week. We went to every hospital in the entire prefecture and not even a single doctor has yet to know what he's diagnosed with. Then he started having trouble breathing one day, he said that his lungs felt like they're on fire, then he started sleeping for hours to nearly days without eating…"

"We thought that we might have to run to another hospital in a different part of Japan, but I saw one of the flyers I used to summon with. I thought it was just a hoax, but I guess it wasn't." Gorou finished after her. "This might go against some teachings, using the help of a demon and all, but I don't think that even the gods could do anything. So, Miss Devil, can you find anything wrong with our son?" He asked me. If they were willing to call upon the likes of a devil before getting any deity involved first, then they must be desperate.

"I'll see what I can find," I told him. I then walked up towards the boy and squatted down in front of him. "Your name is Issei, right? Can you remember when you started to experience symptoms?" I asked him.

"It…. It was some time in school one day…" He begins to tell me. "... I was in physical education. We were running laps around the school when my head started to hurt… I thought it was from the heat so I went to lie down in the nurse's office for a little bit… but then my chest started to hurt very badly… then my body couldn't get up off of the bed… and the very next thing I knew, I was in the doctor's office.."

"Hmm.. I see…" I said, I was feeling that supernatural power earlier. Maybe something has possessed him during the time he was running. "Do you mind lifting up your shirt for me? I want to check for something." He would nod his head before exposing the front of his chest to me. I placed my hand on his chest and began to release my own ki into his body, seeing if I could mess with his. I dealt with sick people with fevers before, so I can try to find out what kind of illness he has. One thing I do know, that his chest did feel hot. Even sick people's bodies don't feel like this. I found some traces of natural energy within him that felt weird. Could be that he's just naturally sick, but that's when I felt another ki signature inside him. Like, something very unnatural for something in the human world.

"So, did you find anything yet?" Miki asked me.

"Well, for the most part, he does have a fever, but he also has something else inside of him that is cranking the fever up higher," I told her.

"Something else? What do you mean by that?" Gorou asked next. I began to look at this other ki signature a bit more. It felt extremely different from any type of ki I had felt since…ever. I'm not sure I even felt something like this in the underworld. It felt powerful beside being weak.

"Issei, have you felt anything else before you became sick? Hearing things that you normally wouldn't be able to hear? Or seeing things out of the ordinary?" I asked him.

"...Well, I've been having these weird dreams…." he tells me.

"Weird like how?"

"... Everything starts off dark… I would be floating within the darkness, it was like lying in water…. I would see this green glow blinking in the distance… I would always try to go towards it… I then start to hear something within the void… It repeats the same thing over and over again… after that, I usually wake up by then.." he explained to me.

"What does this voice say?"

"...'Beware, the White One has awakened'..."
