REYNA'S P.O.V
Clarisse, Ron, Hermione, and I were chasing Harry and Percy when we bumped into Nico and Draco. Ron and Hermione soured immediately.
"What are you two Slytherins doing here?" Ron asked, venom dripping from his voice. This rivalry will take a while to overcome.
"We're trying to get to the Common Room before Crabbe and Goyle," Draco said. I looked behind him and sure enough, Crabbe and Goyle were running towards him. They were running at a speed so slow it looked like they were walking, but they seemed to run out of breath every five minutes.
"That can't be hard, but why?" I asked, frowning.
"They won't let me do anything on my own. It's like I'm some sort of juvenile delinquent. But why are you here?" Draco asked.
"We're trying to find Prissy and Harry," Clarisse said.
"Why? What happened?" Nico asked.
"They blew up in DADA and ran out of the class," I explained.
"Draco, let's split up. You go to the Common Room while I shadow-travel to Percy and Harry's location." Nico said, to which Draco nodded and took off running. Nico then shadow-traveled, leaving me to explain it.
"How did he do that? You can't Apparate inside Hogwarts, and that looked a lot like Umbrakinesis!" Hermione cried out.
"It's hard to explain, but let's just say he has an affinity for Dark Magic. Let's go." I said. Hermione gave Ron a look like, 'We are talking about this later.'
We ran for a while before Nico shadow-traveled back. "They're near the Black Lake. Everyone, hold on to each other!"
I held Nico's right arm and Clarisse held his left. Ron and Hermione were skeptical at first, but held on to our hands, making a circle. Nico concentrated, and a cold feeling washed over me before I was pulled into the shadows.
We landed on the land beside the lake. I was used to the feeling because of our little stunt last month. The other three looked a bit sick, and Nico looked like he was about to faint. I took out the bottle of Unicorn Draught in my bag and gave him some. He looked better, but he was still too weak for my liking. I lent him some strength, enough to make him a bit more energized but not make me faint. I saw Percy swimming and sat down, my toes dangling in the water.
"I should've known," I said. Percy finally noticed me. He came out of the water, completely dry.
"Sorry for running off like that, Reyna. I needed to blow off some steam."
"Still, was the lake the best place? You would summon a hurricane if the water reflects your feelings."
"Yeah, but it also calms me down, though it took all my self-control to keep from flooding the place." I snickered at that.
"Anyways, we've gotta go," I said.
He groaned. "Why?"
"We still have homework, remember? It's going to be a pain writing in English unless we find a translating spell. By the way, where's Harry?"
He shrugged. "He went to the Common Room."
"Well then, let's go." Clarisse, Ron, Hermione, and Nico came up to us, and we went with them.
The rest of the day passed by uneventfully, and we talked with the rest of the demigods (except for Draco; he seemed to be edging away from us now that Crabbe and Goyle were there.).
JASON'S P.O.V
The first day was uneventful. I, Leo, and Annabeth stuck together. A couple of boys started flirting with Annabeth, and she judo flipped them all. We heard a couple of rumors about Percy and Harry blowing up, and then later confirmed that it really happened.
Anyway, what really bothered me was what happened that night.
When I drifted off to the land of Morpheus, I had a disturbing dream. A demigod dream.
I was in a dark, dimly lit room. I saw Voldemort, who looked a lot like some sort of Greek monster, yet more humane than one of them. He was deep in thought.
The shadows deepened, and a figure stepped out. She had a lean figure, was wearing a sleeveless black dress, and had wings as dark as Stygian Iron, with a faint purple glow. Her face was beautiful, yet sharp and unnerving, with dark eyes gleaming maliciously, contrasting greatly with her pale skin. She radiated chaos and destruction and had an evil smile. She was definitely a goddess, but I didn't recognize her.
Voldemort was immediately shaken out of his thoughts. "Who are you?" he asked.
"Tom Marvolo Riddle, that is not the way you address those who are much stronger than you. Show me some respect, boy." The mysterious goddess sneered.
"HOW DARE YOU CALL ME THAT VILE NAME?! YOU CLAIM TO BE STRONGER THAN ME! WHAT A JOKE! I AM THE DARK LORD! PERHAPS I SHOULD KILL YOU ALREADY TO SHOW WHO'S STRONGER! AVADA KEDAVRA!" he roared, emitting a green light from his wand. The light soared towards the goddess and bounced off her harmlessly.
"W-what….h-how…" he stuttered in disbelief.
"Perhaps I should introduce myself. I am Eris, goddess of strife and discord. I'm known to you as Lady Eris Olympia from the Olympia family." Eris said.
"You're from the Olympia family?!" he said in shock.
"Yes. Let me let you in on a secret. All the rulers of the Olympia family aren't human."
"What do you mean, not human?"
"Use your brain, boy. We are Greek gods." At this, Voldemort gasped.
"You mean from those old muggle myths? That's impossible. Those are just stories foolish muggles believe in."
"You do know that in muggle fairy tales there are witches and wizards? Would you like it to be called a myth?"
"No, but-"
"We exist as well. And don't go around saying we are myths, or you'll die in the most excruciating, painful way."
"Aren't there kids from the Olympia family at Hogwarts? Are they gods too?"
"They are demigods, half-human, and half-gods. They are extremely powerful."
"I doubt it. They're probably like Potter, famous because of fighting a couple of battles."
"You are underestimating them. All of them have been in at least one war, many in two wars. They know way too much about pain and suffering, even more than you. The Unforgivable Curses won't work on them."
"Why not?"
"The Unforgivable Curses are made from godly magic. They hurt wizards because their resistance to godly magic is about one-thousandth lesser than demigods'. However, the other spells have branched out into another type of magic, so they can be hurt by it."
"How do I kill them?"
"You can take an army of Greek monsters under your wing. The monsters hunt them because of their parentage. But be warned, the kids have trained their entire lives by fighting these monsters. You can ask Lucius Malfoy any other questions." Eris turned to leave but Voldemort said, "Wait. I have one last question that only you can answer."
"What is it?"
"Why are you helping me?"
Eris smiled. "I am the goddess of discord. I want to see a war caused by me every so often, don't I? At any rate, I shall not help you anymore. I like to sow a seed and then sit back and watch what happens."
Voldemort nodded, and she vanished, leaving a trail of shadows.
I woke up, panting. I wracked my brain for information about Eris. The only piece I came up with was how she started the Trojan War by sneaking into King Peleus' wedding and tossing a golden apple with the words 'To the fairest', which then caused havoc. I decided to tell everyone about my dream, and got out of bed.
A/N- Another over! I'm really, really sorry that I gave you such a small chapter after a week-long absence. And this chapter wasn't even good. I'll start the next chapter, which will be better since this was just a filler chapter. R&R and I'll see you next time.
