CHAPTER 7: ALIEN EXTERMINATION
After Ben learned how to drive by Frank Tennyson for a few weeks, Ben easily aced the driving test. So all Ben needed was his own car but Frank and Natalie Tennyson recommended Ben to visit his grandfather, Max Tennyson. So Gwen took Ben to visit their grandfather at the nursing house.
NURSING HOUSE, NEW YORK CITY
Ben and Gwen are making an appointment at a nursing house to meet their grandfather, Max Tennyson. The caretakers showed Ben and Gwen to Max's room. It was seen that Max was watching television. He was dressed in one of his red Hawaiian shirts and laying back and enjoying himself.
"I told you I'm fi-" Max thought it was one of the caretakers who were watching over him, but he was shocked to see his long lost grandson again.
"How are you doing, grandpa?" Ben replied with a small smile.
Max only rushed forward and responded with a hug towards Ben. Then Gwen joins the hug too. "Ben, it's been a long time. And Gwen, I'm glad you're here."
"You won't believe this, Grandpa Max." Gwen started off. "Ben's been missing in space for eight years." she explained to him.
Max doesn't look surprised as he's seen a lot of weird stuff at his younger age. "Is that true?" he asked, wanting to know.
Ben nodded in confirmation, "Every word of it Grandpa Max." he showed him the Ultimatrix. "This is the Ultimatrix, a watch that has the DNA of ten different alien species."
"The last time I remember, the watch you carried was smaller." Max said. Ben knew what Max meant, the Omnitrix was previously worn when Ben was younger. But now Ben got the better version, the Ultimatrix.
"The Omnitrix got destroyed, so I got the newer version," said Ben. "Even formed my own team, the Galactic Guardians."
Then Grandpa Max walks as he pulls out a book, it reveals that a bookshelf was actually a shelf filled with sci-fi weapons.
"You're not the only ones who have cool gadgets." Max replied with a smirk.
This made Ben shocked and surprised. "So you're like the Men in Black?" joked Ben.
Gwen and her parents already knew about Max's job. So Gwen didn't look surprised but smirked after seeing Ben's expression.
"I was with a group called CHECKMATE." he revealed, showing his card from that group. "I have always been a life-long, union-card-carrying, plumber, but in fact, I was a member of a former intelligence agency called CHECKMATE after serving as an Army Ranger in Vietnam."
Ben gasped in surprise about this. "WOW! You reminded me of Bruce Willis."
"I'll take that as a compliment," smirked Max, then he thought of something else. "Come on, there's something else that I would like to show you."
Ben, Gwen, and Grandpa Max took them to a garage, where they saw an old car. "This was my car, your dad promised to fix the car. But, because of the accident, the car never got a chance to be fixed."
Ben hung his head down in sadness, being reminded of that horrible day. The day he lost his mom and dad. Gwen hugged him a little bit and stroked his head.
Then Ben thought of an idea, as he activated his Ultimatrix, then transformed into Upgrade, a MechaMorph alien he had and saw one just like it on Primus, where he met the creator of the Omnitrix, Azmuth. Then he morphed the car and made it look brand new. The car resembled a black Acura DN-X with a green X-shaped pattern on the hubcap spanning across the sides. Its body was heavily modified to look sleek and stealthy.
Upgrade slapped his Ultimatrix dial from his chest to transform back to Ben. "Well grandpa, what did you think?"
"It looks perfect!" he said with a smile, then turned to Ben. "Now it's all yours."
"Wh-what?" Ben was shocked. "But why?"
"Think of it as a way of me making it up to you for missing your birthdays here on Earth." said Max, as he smiled and hugged his grandson.
"I dunno what to say." Ben was filled with joy.
"Just say "thanks", kiddo." As Grandpa Max gives Ben the car key.
THE NEXT DAY, SOMEWHERE ON THE STREETS OF NEW YORK
While walking on the street Gwen Tennyson is currently hanging out with Kara Kent, her real name is Kara Zor-El and also known as Supergirl, Diana Prince, known as Wonder Woman, and Zatanna Zatara, are walking along on the street having a "girl's night out".
"Wait, Ben is still learning about how to use Netflix?" asked Kara
"Yeah, he's been away from Earth for 8 years." explained Gwen, "So I gotta teach him how to use credit cards, how to pay for Netflix, Spotify, you name it."
"I understand that." as Kara understood Ben's struggles about using e-money or other entertainment. "I mean, Clark taught me about using e-money, and paying for Netflix or Spotify. But I don't pretty much have any Wi-fi back at home." Kara herself was an alien too, where she spent almost a year learning about Earth's culture from the Kents.
"I hardly used Wi-fi back home." admitted Diana.
"AAAAAHHHH!"
The girls heard a scream from a civilian.
As a woman ran away from the alley, Gwen, Kara, Diana, and Zatanna saw a dead alien lying on the ground. The alien has purple skin, three fingers, a bit overweight, one eye and a head, and two toes at each foot. The alien's blood was running on the ground where the blood's color is blue.
"Egnahc sehtolc otni ruo smrofinu!" as Zatanna uses her spell backwards to change her outfit and the girls' hero outfits; Zatanna was donning her usual magician outfit along with her hat, while Gwen, Kara, and Diana are already donning their Lucky Girl, Supergirl, and Wonder Woman's outfit, thanks to Zatanna's spell.
HALL OF JUSTICE, WASHINGTON D.C.
Couple of minutes later, Ben, now known as Omni Knight, along with Superman, Rook, and Titano, and Question arrived when Wonder Woman called. She tried to call Batman at first, but he was busy stopping the Riddler in Gotham along with Robin. So Batman called Question, known as Victor Sage, to help out the alien murder case. Rather than solving the murder case on the alley, the heroes decided to bring the the alien body on the Hall of Justice to examine at a crime lab.
Rook was using his Proto-Tool to scan the dead alien body. "These marks are made of heat, must have been laser-based weapons."
"Yeah," Ben agreed. "And I know a slash when I see one."
"Follow me." told Question.
Ben and Rook are looking confused towards Question. As they followed with Question to his room.
At Question's room, there are a bunch of paperworks, newspapers and photos are being attached on the cork board with strings attached from one paper to another. One cork board contains Question's case about the mystery of the Court of Owls, and the other side of the cork board contains the murder case of the appearance of the aliens on Earth by the hands of the Forever Knights.
"You've encountered aliens that were already on Earth, yes?" asked Question.
"Yeah, I personally am an alien." replied Rook.
"But you're a Justice League member, some aliens who are not from the Justice League were already on Earth earlier before the League was founded."
"Whoa, whoa, whoa." Halted Ben. "What makes you think that aliens live on Earth-"
"Please…" Question knew Ben was pretending that he didn't know that aliens are living in a city underneath New York.
(FLASHBACK) THREE DAYS AGO, THE UNDERTOWN, UNDERNEATH NEW YORK CITY.
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles brought Ben, Rook, Ester, Titano, and Zeno, to the Undertown.
"How long has this city been hidden? " asked Ben.
"I'm not really sure either." Answered Michaelangelo. "But here, we can actually be ourselves. Right bros?"
"Right Mikey," said Leo, agreeing with his brother.
So the Galactic Guardians and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles easily established themselves in the Undertown, where mutants and aliens are living together without being noticed by the humans.
"Does the League even know about this?" Asked Rook.
"We're not even sure." Told Donatello.
"But Batman is too paranoid." Interrupted Leonardo. "He's definitely gonna make these aliens and mutants leave this planet. They're not exactly liked by the ones on the surface."
Rook then stated, "From what I know about humans, they often fear what they do not understand."
"Hey look." Titano interrupted the boring conversation to point to an area of the place that was written "The Black Hole", it was a bar.
"You guys thinking what I'm thinking?" Grinned Titano, hoping that everyone is ready for a drink.
Ben then said, "Later Titano, right now we need to focus-"
"Screw that." Now it's Zeno's turn to interrupt. "Now it's time to take a drink." and soon they all followed him. Feeling outvoted, Ben followed the rest of his friends to the bar.
As they reached the bar, the team found a table, took their seats and ordered drinks.
"You know, this is like the last time we had a drink together back on a moon, where they have some sort of bar." replied Ester.
"I remember that Zeno puked on some idiot who tried to screw around with a Triceraton." Titano said.
"Let's not forget I was involved in the fight as well." Rook interrupted.
"Yeah, that was hell of a bar fight." Grinned Ben.
"Never been to a bar fight before," interrupted Raphael. "But that sounds fun."
Then a waitress appeared and gave the drinks to the team. "Here you go." she winked at Ben, making him blush.
But then, he refocused his thoughts on Kara, he felt like she would hate her if he hooked up with another girl at the bar. Focusing back to his friends, Ben raised his cup. "To the beginning of our new friendship."
"YEAH!" as the rest of the team raised their cups as well and got a drink.
Couple of minutes later, some of the team members are seperated. Ben puts his arm around Rook's shoulders while having a laugh, Titano and Zeno are having a drink then they puked outside, and Ester and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are dancing on the dance floor with the rest of the alien guests.
NOW, HALL OF JUSTICE, WASHINGTON D.C.
Ben and the others were baffled that he knew about this, as they walked through the hallway at the Hall of Justice. "So, you and Mr. Baumann know each other?"
"I know plenty of information about him, but never met him." explained Question.
"So why Baumann?" Asked Rook.
"Where do you think there is a connection between a friendly human and aliens?" Question was asking a rhetorical question.
Ben and the rest of the Galactic Guardians did meet Mr. Baumann. He sold various types of alien foods on Earth, at his shop in New York.
MR. BAUMANN'S SHOP, NEW YORK
The heroes reach back to Earth. Ben, Rook, Question, and Ester arrived at Mr. Baumann's shop. The shop itself is big and wide, identical like a normal supermarket for humans and aliens.
"What do you want, Tennyson?" asked Mr. Baumann's skeptically.
"For someone who's been friendly with humans and aliens, I think we both know why exactly we're here." Ben goes straight to the point.
"Have you heard about the Forever Knights?" asked Question.
"No. Haven't seen them." answered Mr. Baumann.
"Haven't seen them, or haven't heard of them?" Question began to get more suspicious towards Mr. Baumann.
"I, uhhh…" Mr. Baumann is a little nervous.
Ester has been looking around at the shop. "Business is getting a little slow lately?"
"It's Wednesday. Thursdays will be crowded." explained Mr. Baumann.
"Quit stalling!" as the Question demands the truth from Mr. Baumann.
Ben then felt his blood boiling in rage, "Question, stop it!" he demanded, "You're scaring him! This won't get the answer we need!"
Ignoring Ben, Question kept on threatening Mr. Baumann. "I know everything much about you. You lived in 122 and 1/8th Greenwich Village, your wife is currently a bureaucrat. But she's actually an alien isn't she? You're also-"
"Alright, alright!" Mr. Baumann had enough with what Question was doing and shoved him away. "Follow me."
As the team follows Mr. Baumann, they went to the back of the room, where they saw storages and an alien family, which looked skinny, and had green skins.
"The knights have been here alright." Mr. Baumann finally told the truth. "They warned I better not aiding any aliens in this world. They'll kill me."
"I understand that you've been trying to protect these aliens," said Rook. " But why didn't you contact the League?"
"The League wouldn't understand." Mr. Baumann told the team. "They're going to get rid of the aliens as well. These aliens are people too, you know. Most of them are already settled on Earth much longer than you think."
The team began to understand about these aliens, as they have no rights nor have any intention of getting rid of these aliens away from Earth.
"So how are we gonna find them?" asked Ester.
But then, Ben has an idea. " You said the busiest day will be on Thursday right?"
"Yeah, why?" replied Mr. Baumann.
"So why bother finding the knights, where we can make them come to us?"
(THURSDAY) THE NEXT DAY, OUTSIDE MR. BAUMANN'S SHOP
The next day, a bunch of aliens are lining up outside the shop to open. But Ben, Rook, Ester, Zeno, and Titano are watching over the aliens from the rooftops separately.
"Anything yet?" asked Ben, now donning his Omni Knight suit, who was talking on his Ultimatrix, which can be used as a communicator.
"Nothin' yet." replied Titano, who's standing across the rooftops, while watching the aliens by using his binoculars.
"Still nothing." Ester also replied, as she's standing on another side of the rooftops.
"Just more aliens who are ready to be massacred." replied Zeno sarcastically to his comm, who's standing with the aliens outside the shop. Zeno was pretending to be an alien civilian.
Finally, above the rooftop of Mr. Baumann's shop, there's Rook who's standing there while using his Proto-tool to scan any incoming Forever Knights. "Guys, I've finally detected something." as Rook is communicating to his teammates through his comm while detecting incoming hordes of Forever Knights.
The Forever Knights are wearing sleeker-looking armor of a different material, and using energy-based weaponry such as swords, shields, and maces. Some of them are on foot, some are riding their hover-cycles, and some are riding on their giant mechanical horse-like walkers. Finally, the aliens are starting to panic.
As the aliens panicked, Titano is firing his rocket launcher and destroy one of the walkers, *KABOOM*. Ester is stretching her limbs to knock-off the knights who are riding the hover-cycles, Zeno is stepping outside the alien crowds then firing towards knights by using his rifles, and Omni Knight uses the Ultimatrix and is transformed into Shock Rock. His body appears to mainly consist of blue energy. There are four retractable spikes protruding from both of his shoulders. His arms are rather large, stretching down nearly to his feet in resting position. His head, arms, chest, and legs are rock-like. His eyes are green and a moss-like substance can be seen around his neck and shoulders.
As Shock Rock charges, one the walkers fired it's cannon towards him, Shock Rock uses his electrical shield to block the cannon. Then he fired his electrical blast by using his hand, *ZZAAAPPP*, as it blasts the walker.
Rook fends off the knights who are on foot, as he uses his Proto-tool to form a sword and block off the knights attack, since they're using energy swords.
As the fight continues, Titano aids Zeno as they're together firing their guns towards the knights. *RAT-TAT-TAT-TAT*, "Come and get some, shitbags!" as Titano provokes the knights as they continue to fire his guns along with Zeno.
As the Galactic Guardians have the upper hand, the Forever Knight's general finally makes his appearance. The general possessed high-tech armour, but had yellow lighting on his helmet, and he wore a red cape along with his armor while possessing energy-based weapons like the other knights.
"I'm getting bored of this resistance." says the general. "Ready to fire the tank." as he ordered, the tank charges and about to fire towards the aliens.
"WAIT!" halted Shock Rock. "How about this instead…"
Shock Rock noticed that the general was wearing a different armor compared with the other knights, and he guessed that the general was the one in charge. "I challenged you," as Shock Rock points out the general, "for a single combat. If I win, you'll leave these aliens alone. Forever..."
"But if I win," as the general continues the terms, "You will all die!" Then the general rides aboards his hover-cycle and lifts up his kinetic-powered lance.
As Rook notices the lance, he warns Shock Rock. "Careful with that lance, that's a kinetic lance. It can-"
"Yeah, yeah." as Shock Rock already knew. "It has kinetic energy." As Shock Rock finished his sentence, he formed an electric-based lance of his own from his hands.
"For Earth!" as the general charges using his hover-cycle and his kinetic lance.
"For, uhh… whatever…" as Shock Rock charges too, both lances hit towards each other, but it was Shock Rock who got knocked off first.
*CRASH*, as Shock Rock got crashed after the impact between his lance and the general's lance.
Shock Rock gets up, but then the general turns over his hover-cycle to charge towards Shock Rock again. As the knight's general turns his vehicle and about to charge Shock Rock again, the electric-powered alien uses electrokinetic power and forms a ramp for the hover-cycle to slide over the ramp. *VROOOM*, as the hover-cycle slides over, the general fells over from the hover-cycle and his vehicle crashes, *BOOM*.
"Oops." teased Shock Rock, after destroying the general's hover-cycle.
The general was irritated. "You will leave this planet, one way or another…" as the general threatens Shock Rock and the rest of the aliens, he forms his energy-sword. Shock Rock, on the other hand, forms an energy-sword based on his hands too.
Both fighters clash towards each other as they are having a sword-fight among each other. Shock Rock then remembers how he was taught to fight with a sword.
(FLASHBACK) 6 YEARS AGO, PLANET VULPIN.
*TANG-TANG-TANG*, 12 year old Ben was holding a crystallized sword, while fighting against Tetrax, where he formed his arms into a sword. 12 years old Rook was sitting on the sidelines, watching their training.
"Ahem." Rook was distracting Ben to tease him.
Ben was distracted from Rook's cough, allowing Tetrax to disarm Ben's sword, then swipe Ben's leg which allowed him to fall.
"What did I say?" Tetrax didn't look happy when Ben was distracted.
"But I was-"
"Always keep your eyes on your opponents." Tetrax made it clear for Ben. "Alright, let's go again." Tetrax demands another lesson towards Ben.
"What?!" as Ben was about to make his complaint.
"We're gonna do it again, until you can get it right." told Tetrax.
Then training continues, as Ben strikes with his sword again, but with more aggression. But Tetrax easily dodges Ben's sloppy and aggressive attacks, which allows Tetrax to disarm Ben's sword again and slam him to the ground.
Rook, who's watching on the sidelines, giggled, trying his best not to laugh at Ben; especially whenever Tetrax is around.
"Your anger won't help you." said Tetrax. "You have to focus."
Ben get's put and picks up his sword. He takes his breath and a serious glare, as if ready to fight against Tetrax again.
(BACK TO PRESENT) OUTSIDE MR. BAUMANN'S SHOP
As Ben, still as Shock Rock, remembers what Tetrax taught him about sword-fighting, he remembers not to have any unnecessary thoughts, waits patiently for openings, then disarms him.
As Shock Rock and the general are still clashing their swords, Shock Rock finally manages to disarm the general's sword.
"You lose." Said Shock Rock, "Now yield!"
But the general refuses to surrender. "I don't think so. Knights!"
As the general signals the knights, they armed their weapons and their guns preparing to execute the aliens, including Ben's teammates. It reveals that the general does not care about winning, he's here to execute every single alien that lives on this planet.
"No!" Yelled Shock Rock.
But then, a laser beam struck from above to the ground, as it sliced the side of the ground as a warning shot. It was revealed to be Superman, whose eyes are red after firing his heat-vision. Then a couple of the Justice League members show up to aid Shock Rock and the rest of the Galactic Guardians to help the aliens who are about to be executed. Supergirl also flew lower, Hawkman and Hawkgirl also showed up as they carried their Nth Metal maces, Green Lantern/Hal Jordan and Wonder Woman also flew lower and got ready to protect these aliens.
Shock Rock knew that he had the upper hand now thanks to the Justice League. Then he grabs the general's neck as he threatens him. "Now you listen up, you will leave these aliens as they are under the protection of the Justice League. If you ever try to kill any of these aliens, you will regret this on your very… short… lives…"
"Knights… withdraw…" The general knew he had lost as he and the knights retreated away from the aliens and the Justice League.
As Superman flew down next to Shock Rock, he began to ask. "How did you know I was here?" Asked Shock Rock.
"Question called." Explained Superman. "He knew that there's no way he could fight the knights face-to-face, so he called." Then he looks towards the aliens, while the remaining Justice Leaguers and the Galactic Guardians are comforting the aliens. "Now what to do with these aliens?"
FOREVER KNIGHTS' SECRET HIDEOUT
The general was at the king's mercy. "Forgive me, my lord. I-"
"SILENCE!" as the Forever King is getting up from his throne. "The Justice League are already on to us. Looks like we have to accelerate the plan."
