SPECIAL SPIN-OFF CHAPTER: WORST SQUAD EVER!
10 YEARS AGO, NEW YORK CITY
Once there was a cat named Hob, he was the good pet of a little boy and they both enjoyed playing together until one day, the boy's abusive mother yelled at him for not cleaning up after his pet and threw Hob out of the house as her son's punishment.
They never saw him again, and after that day, Hob lived as a rough outsider cat, with all the good and bad of that.
Sometime later, Hob was strolling down an alleyway, when he saw four turtles crawling around in a green-colored mutagen. He ambushed them and grabbed one of the turtles in his mouth, getting the ooze in his mouth. He was about to dash off with his meal when a rat appeared from on top of the trash can and attacked Hob. The rat bit Hob right on his eye, making him drop the turtle near the other three and run away.
Once he had escaped the rat, the injured Hob began to slow down and cough then laid down on his back and started to transform… into the shape of a humanoid cat.
BELLE REVE, PRESENT DAY
A limousine moved through the gates and then parked.
Inside the vehicle, Baxter Stockman put on his ID mask, hiding his fly-mutant from behind an illusion. He turned to his fellow passenger, Tatsu, who sat in the front beside the driver. "What do you think… It feels great to be human again, doesn't it?"
The woman, who had been ordered to act as his escort by the Foot, said nothing.
Nonplussed by her silence, the doctor opened his door and got out of the large car. Karai joined him as he moved towards the entrance.
They were met in the reception area by Hugo Strange. He gave Stockman a welcoming handshake. "Good afternoon Dr. Stockman, welcome to Belle Reve. Ms. Waller is waiting for your meeting." He said, then he looked at Tatsu next to Stockman. "Your bodyguard?"
"More like, my… associate," countered Stockman. "This is Hattori Tatsu."
Strange greeted Tatsu in turn and then beckoned them to follow him.
As they navigated the corridors, Stockman eyed the villains in the cells lining the corridor as they passed the collared prisoners. He recognized Solomon Grundy, Tattooed Man, and Shrapnel, but several of the others were unfamiliar.
Halfway down the corridor, he spied June Moone. Unlike most of the others who ignored the visitors, she was aware enough that she briefly reacted.
LAUNDRY ROOM, BELLE REVE
Scandal Savage, Knockout, Harley Quinn, Magpie, and Livewire had been assigned laundry duty for that week. Livewire placed the dirty clothing onto one of the washing machines and tried to turn it on, but nothing happened. It had no power. "Ow look, this machine is broken… I could power it back up again… Oh, wait. I can't because of this shitty dog collar!"
"Try kicking it," suggested Harley Quinn, who was folding some cleaning clothing. "I remember that worked in that cartoon!"
Scandal Savage was ironing. Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed their fourth picking out each of the dirty trousers on the piles. "Hey, Bird! There are no shiny items in every pair of pants!"
"What about this penny I found?" asked Magpie, holding up a penny in one of the outfits, but relented at the other woman's scowl. "All right, I'll carry on doing… some stuff… unless there's something shiny."
"Heh, do you think she uses her enhanced smell to find those keys?" chuckled Knockout as she piled the clean clothing into piles to be returned.
Scandal laughed at her beloved's joke.
A moment later, the news came on. The lead story was the arrest of Oroku Saki, also known as Shredder. The reporter's voice from the radio said, an hour ago, that Oroku Saki is found guilty for the list of crimes that was founded by the group of superheroes. He is hereby being exiled from America and being under probation in his old homeland in Japan. While his five captured remaining generals, which are the giant mutant animals, are spending life in the special prison basement.
Livewire chuckled "Those captured mutants still sounded more serious than that-"
"Pull the plug out of your ass, so I can take that from you." Interrupted Magpie. "He's just a kid!"
"Who is this kid you girls are talking about? Is this too freaky looking? Now I like him!" Said Harley.
GYM ROOM, BELLE REVE
Unlike many of his fellow inmates like Deadshot, who was doing some weight-lifting; Cluemaster and Killer Moth who were doing some push-ups, and Sportsmaster who was punching the sandbag – Captain Boomerang sitting down on one of the benches doing nothing while drinking from a water bottle.
"Hark!" shouted Heat Wave, striding towards the other Rogue. "Aren't you meant to be training and bulking up?"
"I am excusing!" retorted Boomerang with a laugh, then continued drinking. "It's called drinking the bottle until you take a piss."
At that moment, Kevin Levin entered the gym.
"Well, look who's here. Wha-a-a-a-at happened to the rest of your arms and leg-g-g-gs kid?" asked Moth, glaring at the prison's youngest inmate.
"They had surgery to remove them," Kevin replied, sarcastically.
Then Cluemaster and Sportsmaster walk and stand in front of him.
"Listen here, kid," said Cluemaster crossly. "You should back off from our kids! They are our target!"
"Yeah," agreed Sportsmaster. "Although I thought I would do the same to my girl. But so brutal to our child."
"If you two have a child, then they already kick you two asses out…" retorted Kevin as he walked past the pair. "Because, you know… you're villains… terrible fathers all of you."
"Bahh! You won't be able to lift this big b-b-b-boy, now you're no long-g-g-ger muscle freak!" declared Moth, pointing at a giant dumbbell.
"Said the guy who won't stop acting like a bug," snarled Kevin.
His savage words made Moth angry and about to give him a beating. But Deadshot stopped him. "Okay, enough people. Look. Let's give this kid some respect."
"Eh, I still prefer Black Spider to be the funny one," Boomerang grunted.
"I'm with Lawton," declared Heat Wave. "This kid has less, keep on talking about jokes."
"Not tough enough to get past the defenses of this place," said Sportsmaster, then returned to his exercise.
"He's right," said Cluemaster.
After a moment, Moth reluctantly agreed and dropped it.
Just as Kevin was about to start working out with two of the smaller dumbbells, he noticed that one of the inmates, despite the bucket on his head, was staring at the TV screen above him which was currently showing Rahzar, one of the Foot Clan generals who had been arrested recently.
"Not the dog person, Megatron?"
Dogwelder looked towards Kevin for a moment but then turned back at the TV screen without comment.
MEETING ROOM, BELLE REVE
"So these nineteen members shall be able to find the Mutagen for us… without getting spotted by anyone, even if our old boss got arrested?" asked Stockman, as he looked over the personnel files that Waller had provided. One particular note on Captain Boomerang's file made him take an odd look. "Harkness was banging the unicorn doll… Really?"
"What if any of those superheroes find out as well?" asked Tatsu.
"They can not get near them if they are under the government command," answered Waller.
"That's good, Ms. Waller," said Stockman. "But why do we need these two… they aren't very helpful to get the Mutagen for us?"
Stockman placed the document files of Julian Day, the Calendar Man, and Grant Morrison, the Writer, onto the table.
"Nobody believes what Grant's writing ability does," said Strange with a chuckle.
"You can be excluded if you wish, Doctor," agreed Waller. "I will have the remaining members assembled for a briefing this afternoon.
Just then the prison guard shows up and tells Amanda Waller the news. "Pardon the interruption, ma'am. But Black Spider's transport will be arriving shortly. Which cell block should we put him in?"
"The Black Spider kid is coming here?" asked Tatsu.
"You know, Black Spider?" Hugo Strange said to Tatsu who explained that he was an Assassin whose faction had previously worked with the Foot Clan.
This piece of information gave Waller an idea. "Put Black Spider on the list."
At that moment, the phone in her office rang. "We'll resume later, that call is likely to be important."
"I have to leave as well," said Strange, glancing at his watch and rising to leave. "Some of your squad are being held in other prisons and will need to be transferred."
Amanda Waller entered her office and picked up the ringing phone. "Who is this?"
"This is Vandal Savage. I am calling to give you my request for that Task Force idea of yours, Ms. Waller."
MUTANTS CHAMBER
The Mutants Chamber was a massive prison island for mutants located in the North Atlantic. Several of the Foot Clan's generals – Fishface, Rahzar, Tiger Claw, Rocksteady & Bebop – are among the inmates.
It's mealtime, and one of the guards places a tray of food and a can of milk onto Tiger Claw's cell gate and the mutant tiger picks it up and eats it.
"You still prefer this type of milk, Tiger Claw?" observed a new voice from the cell opposite Tiger Claw's.
The tiger mutant looked up in surprise, noticing the human manta ray. His eyes narrowed, and he said calmly. "Oh, it's you, Man Ray. I thought all the Mutanimals members were still in New York?"
"I got arrested after the whole group got split in half," replied the other mutant. "I miss the good old days back when our friends were still together."
"Well, sadly you won't have to see them again," growled Tiger Claw. "Cos three of them are dead!"
"W-what!" exclaimed Man Ray. "That's impossible, isn't it?"
Before Tiger Claw could answer the question, a large group of security guards came past their cells dragging both King Shark, Weasel, and Zebra-Man on big wheelchairs.
"...still don't know why you dragged me away from having some grass for lunch?" asked Zebra-Man. "Uhh... You know what, I now find that thing gross!"
King Shark and Weasel try to speak, but their mouthguards stop them from speaking.
Once they were out of sight, Tiger Claw and Man Ray shared confused looks. "Huh, it's odd to see the hacks release them," observed Tiger Claw. "Especially that funny-looking Weasel guy."
"Doesn't look like it," replied Man Ray, then he heard a beeping noise. He moved as far away from the outside wall as he could. "Uhh. It's nice chatting with you pussycat."
The outside wall exploded, setting off several alarms.
Once the smoke of the blast cleared, Herman the Hermit Crab crawled into Ray's prison room. "Man Ray, sir! Your path to freedom is finally cleared!" reported the other mutant. "But not for long!"
OUTSIDE
Hugo Strange is watching the prison's guards load King Shark, Weasel, and Zebra-Man onto the transport helicopter that had brought him from Belle Reve when the escape alarm was activated.
Seconds later, one of the backup guards ran up to him. "Sir, Sector Three has been breached. Several of the prisoners have escaped their cells and are about to jump out into the ocean and swim for it!"
"Radio it in," barked Strange. "Deploy all available special forces to kill or capture any escaping prisoners!"
"Right away, sir!" confirmed the guard as the warden got inside the helicopter.
THE OCEAN
Just as the escapees hit the water and head towards dry land, guards mounted four giant turrets and began to fire at them. Some of the escapes were able to evade the hail of bullets by diving underwater out of sight, but others weren't so lucky.
"Okay? Are there any evac vehicles?" asked Man Ray, looking around as he supported the two mutants he'd saved. The escape had been hard, but several had made it.
"Over there!" shouted Hermit Crab, pointing at the approaching truck.
The group headed towards it, not wanting to waste any time.
They were just in time, as they turned out of sight just as a boat of soldiers arrived on the beach.
"Dammit!" exclaimed the team leader. "Search everywhere! Maybe they're just hiding!"
BELLE REVE
Dogwelder was sitting on the floor of his cell, drawing dog faces on the wall using a chalk stick. When he was satisfied, he added stick figures of two little kids next to the dog faces. There was a knock on the door, which was repeated. Dogwelder dropped the chalk as he turned to look at the door.
Elsewhere, Killer Frost was sitting down on the bench in her prison cell, reading a magazine. "Let's see here… Who is the hottest? No one!" She laughed while she wrote the answer down. Just then, the security guard entered her cell, holding the taser stick. "What? Do you still prefer horror-comedy?" she asked, but the guard silently knocked her out with his taser.
Another guard burst into Cluemaster's cell at almost the same moment.
"What in the… Are you here for me to search for some clues about…?" He got knocked out by a nightstick in the head. When the guard carried Cluemaster, the others already carried the fainted Sportsmaster and Moth out of each cell nearby.
Lots of security guards just reached June Moone's cell. When they ready their riot shields and sleeping dart guns. The leader presses the door release open button. While they enter and are about to fire their sleeping shot at June, one of the guards notices that the power dampening collar is on the floor. Then June Moone wakes up, turns herself into Enchantress, and begins attacking the front army using her magic waves. She tried to escape using her superspeed ability. But the security guards managed to put her to sleep by firing their darts guns and then quickly tied her up using the chains.
Later, Kevin Levin watching through his prison cells gate and see that fourteen fainted criminals (Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, Harley Quinn, June Moone / Enchantress, Cluemaster, Sportsmaster, Killer Moth, Killer Frost, Livewire, Heat Wave, Magpie, Scandal Savage, Knockout and Dogwelder) being dragged into the injection room. The doctors are ready to place the detonator onto each of the villain's necks after they line up. Harley is the first one to get the tiny bomb being injected into her spine.
"Zzz… that cute bunny slapped me," said Harley drowsily.
"ARGGHH!" growled Moth. "There go-o-o-oes the light I see."
"That treasure became an eel!" exclaimed Magpie.
This annoyed one of the doctors. He sighed. "I hate it when people say something like that when they are given a bomb." Then he moved on to Scandal.
He was just injecting Knockout, when a young guard came in, looking shaken. "We've got three more coming!"
Seconds later, the three mutants were dragged in, frightening the staff despite them being in restraints.
"Rah! Hahhh!" roared Weasel as he got the detonator injected into his neck. "AHHH! Ay, Ay, Ay!"
MEANWHILE
"Alright, which one of you can come up with to break us out of this impossible escape from this base?" asked Man Ray as he got out of the truck. "That was a smart but awful idea!"
As if in answer, a figure got out of the driver's seat.
He was a large cat hybrid with a patch over his right eye.
"Guess who it is, fish?" said the cat-man, as he took a puff of his cigarette.
The mutant lioness Sally Pride got out of the front passenger seat and moved to stand next to him.
"Old Hob?!" exclaimed Man Ray, clearly shocked. "I-I thought you died in the dinosaur invasion?"
"No, I was hiding," replied Old Hob. "We all thought you died for a while until we got word that you were locked up in that prison. But we didn't do it just for the 'happy reunion'... we need something important from you."
"Wait, if this is a reunion, then where's Mondo?" asked Man Ray as Old Hob discarded his spent cigarette.
"Mondo has been investigating Old Hob's theory that the Foot Clan is still planning something, even though Shredder has been exiled," replied Sally Pride.
"It's not the theory," retorted Old Hob. "Two of their members drove past me in a limousine driving past me while I was on patrol. But I'll explain more once we're back at Slash's base."
With that, he turned back to the truck and climbed back into the driver's seat.
"Wait, Hob!" exclaimed Man Ray, grabbing hold of the door before Old Hob could close it. "Right before you broke me out, I found out what happened to Slash and the rest of the team."
CRIME ASSEMBLY ROOM, BELLE REVE
Seventeen criminals all woke up after being injected while being knocked out.
"Ugh.." Livewire is getting back up. "Hell yeah! I got my power back!" She then touched her collar that was still on her neck. "This is some bull-crap". She grumbles because her collar is still on her neck.
"Morning everyone!" Said King Shark, happily drinking the glass of water. Which made everybody jump seeing his face.
"WHAT THE SHIT IS THAT THING?!" Cluemaster shouted.
"No bloody way! Sharky!" Said Boomerang, while Harley hugged King Shark.
"Haha, Nice to give him the shark hug!" Said Harley.
"Welp, nice shark reunion is cool at all. Where are we and who are those mutants?!" Demanded Killer Frost, who then gets annoyed when Weasel licks her head like ice cream.
"QUIT IT!" She pushed Weasel away from her.
"Rahh! Rah!" Grunted Weasel.
"Yeah. Let him give you a warm bath" Joked Sportsmaster, who then turns to Enchantress, still tied by chains. "Got you too, witch lady?"
Knockout looked at Zebra-Man. "Uhh, Zebra-Man, heard of you. How come everyone thinks you're the mutant, despite your line of zig-zag skinny looks?"
"Yeah, where do you get your origin?" Replied Scandal Savage. "Falling in love with some zebras?"
"I had some bad accident." Zebra-Man looked down and even Dogwelder understood his feeling.
Just then a ton of boxes lifted out from the floor nearby. When Magpie walked over there and opened up one of them. She picks up some sort of goggles.
"OH! SHINY BIG GLASSES!" Said Magpie happily until Heat Wave yanked it back from her.
"It will make you blind if you put it around your head!" He said crossly, while Moth picked up his helmet from the far-right boxes nearby.
"We-r-r-r-r-r-re about to leave this big house! Alrea-a-a-a-a-dy!" Said Moth looking excited.
"Not quite, Moth. I already know what's going on right now. Everyone, change into your costumes and then wait." Said Deadshot picking up his shooting gauntlets.
"Hold on there, cowboy," Livewire interrupted. "You both realize that there are some ladies here in the room and few of you might see our-"
Enchantress then interrupted her words by patting her shoulder and then pointing at the changing room nearby. "Oh… Look it is… clear door!"
A few minutes later, the group was changed anSce
"You called yourself Killer Moth? You don't look very killer to me?" asked Scandal Savage.
"And you're Scandal Savage, you sound like you ran out of ideas for your name." Moth laughed.
"I find that very fitting" Said Knockout laying on Scandal's shoulder. "How do you get your name, Dogwelder?" She asked, but he didn't respond.
"Was it because of the actual dogs? You like puppies?!" Gasped Harley.
Dogwelder still didn't reply until Enchantress spoke up after reading his mind. "Dogwelder showed tons of dogs his blowtorch and then killed them all with it." Answered Enchantress, which gave everyone a surprised face, and tried not to get horrified.
"Remember to let him keep his bloody welding mask shut." Boomerang reminded everyone.
Just then, one of the villains: Black Spider, enters the assembly room after being pushed in by the security guards.
"Nice big push you give me officers." Said Black Spider as the door shut in front of them. He then turned around "Eh, One of them has a nice family he has. Hello everyone" And of course the jock himself." He greeted Sportsmaster in his own hello.
"That armor guy seems to give you too much history lesson, son," Said Sportsmaster.
Deadshot walked towards the young villain and said, "Black Spider? Of course, you're here mostly because you are one of the assassins who was arrested for helping Shredder with his master plans. Do you know which mission we are about to do?"
"What, you're talking about the human form of Jeff Goldblum that I saw? Also, I got arrested for helping Shredder's mutants like those guys." Answered Black Spider pointing at King Shark doing something.
"Big shirt." Said King Shark tapping the backside of Cluemaster's vest.
"You are an idiot," Cluemaster remarked in an annoyed manner.
Meanwhile, outside the crime assembly room. Amanda Waller and Baxter Stockman were looking at the villains through the one-way mirror. Stockman thought some of the members who were part of the task force mission were weird. But he started to feel impressed that they would find more mutagen for the Foot Clan. Just then Rick Flag approaches from the hallway.
"Ah. Now we have Rick Flag, the commanding officer who arrived in the house." Said Stockman. "Name, Dr. Stockman by the way."
"Thanks for the introduction, Doctor. Ms. Waller, I got a call earlier. Remember that my men went off to Arkham Asylum to pick up the guy named Kite-Man for Task Force X?" Said Flag.
FLASHBACK, FIVE MINUTES EARLIER
A plane is flying to Belle Reve. When Kite-Man kicked the side door open and flew off.
"Thanks for the ride, but I still left my keys to freedom!" Shouted Kite-Man then he jumped out of the plane and began to fly away, but he got sucked into a turbine and was killed offscreen.
"Now that's just messed up." Sighed the guard looking out the window.
FLASH FORWARD, BACK TO BELLE REVE
"Huh. Guess he won't be having his favorite lunch anymore." Chucked Waller and she ripped the Kite-Man profile document in half.
"ARGH! This guy is so cheap! How are we gonna find the last member for the dangerous mission now?" Annoyed Stockman, then everyone heard the alarm. "What type of alarm is that?"
"That's just the prisoner escaping alert." Answered Waller calmly.
"I'll get someone for you!" Said Flag before dashing off with his pistol raised. As Flag searches around the whole prison base. He saw Kevin beating up a few of the special guards on the upper left. His whole body seems to be already in steel material. After knocking all of them down, Kevin runs and Flag chases after him.
"KID! Get back to your cell right now or I'll kill you?!" Shouted Flag, crocking his gun.
"Nah. I'll find a better toilet, then have a great breakout and steal some random cars. That would be even cooler!" Shouted Kevin and he ran even faster.
Tatsu walks out of the break room, drinking a cup of coffee until he hears the footsteps of Kevin running from Flag. So he trips Kevin to the ground with his leg. When he was down. The guards knocked Kevin out by using their taser stick. Waller, Strange, and Stockman appeared and saw who the escaping criminal was.
"I don't understand. He didn't wear the power dampening collar because he doesn't have any powers!" Strange said, confused as he looked at Kevin changing back to his normal self.
"You should be, Strange. I suggested that he should be locked in the special cell. Does anyone agree?" Said Flag.
Before Waller could agree on what Flag said. Baxter Stockman interrupted. "Excuse me, But are there any profiles on that guy?"
"That's Kevin Levin, he has the power to absorb any materials he touches." Answered Waller. "About a few weeks ago, he used to be a giant mutant monster and stole various superheroes' powers, making him a threat for both the Justice League and the Titans, until he was arrested. He was cured back into his normal self because of Omni Knight."
"Omni Knight? That's the dumbest name I've ever heard!" Said Flag, while both Tatsu and Stockman already know he is one of the superheroes, who is responsible for their master exile.
Then Stockman smirks because he had an idea. "Bring this Kevin guy to the other criminals in the assembly room!" He said.
Later, after Kevin got the detonator placed onto his spine and being placed in the crime assembly room, he sat down with the other volunteer criminals, feeling a bit dizzy after being injected. Boomerang, Cluemaster, Sportsmaster, Moth, and Livewire all stared at Kevin in disrespect.
"I haven't met him. So nothing to say about him." Black Spider thought about Kevin.
Amanda Waller already arrived in the crime assembly room and explained the mission briefing for the criminals. "As some of you may know, you have been tasked on one of the most dangerous missions. If you complete the mission, you will all get time off from prison and if you fail, your head will be blown off."
"What makes you think we'll do a damn thing for you?" asked Kevin reluctantly.
"Because an explosive detonator planted inside the back of your skull." answered Waller. "Any other stupid questions would you like to ask?"
Some of the villains think that Amanda Waller is lying at first. But after touching the backside of their head. They realize that there is one chance for freedom, or their life is on the line. Even Enchantress agrees, so to avoid herself from anyone looking at her that she is about to use her power to escape, she changes back to June Moone. When any of them wanted to know what their suicide missions were, Zebra-Man raised his hand.
"So what's the plan?" He said.
"Is it stealing any stupid stuff? That would be boring!" Moaned Livewire.
"Well, I find it easy. Except if there isn't any more than one commander." Replied Magpie.
"This mission will require four team leaders. One of them is Colonel Rick Flag, while the other three are Deadshot, Scandal Savage, and Kevin Levin." Said Waller which gave all the criminals a surprise including Kevin. "Now Doctor Stockman is here to give you the briefing." Waller introduces Stockman to the squad and he begins to explain their mission. Black Spider even waves Stockman hello since he already knows him.
"Thank you, Ms. Waller. Now then criminals." Said Stockman. "Do you all remember the deadliest dinosaur invasion that we had a while ago? The company of Lexcorp has found-"
"Hold on, I thought it was called L-Corp?!" confused Killer Frost.
"Lena Luthor is fired for having a deal with the Forever Knights!" Explained Deadshot.
"Yep, it's always the Luthor family. Anyway, Lexcorp discovered the crashed ship of the invader's transport somewhere in northern Canada, and inside of it was the dangerous slime called the Mutagen. Which can turn any humans or animals into dangerous mutants. The army tried to get in but was shot down or pulled back because they couldn't get past the mutant area. Not even by air. The mutant area has been created by the space dinosaurs on the same day that the Justice League was captured. The invaders tried to create more army by spilling mutagen to the civilians of Canada but were stopped by, you guessed it, heroes."
"So you want us to get past the bunch of animals while getting that monster making shit? Said Captain Boomerang.
"Correct, British boomerang villain." Answered Stockman.
"I'm Australian, dipshit!"
"Right. But the defense of the mutant area was so strong, so you might write your bucket list if you didn't make it through. But if you want to get out after receiving the Mutagen, you have to destroy their air security for your evac."
"Oh doc, I got something for my bucket list. I need better clothing since my old one was destroyed during my mutation." Said Kevin.
"Somebody give him the cheerleading outfit." Chuckled Sportmaster with his arms crossed.
"The security will give you a new outfit for you, Kevin The rest of you will get yourself prepared for this upcoming suicide mission." Said Waller, pressing the remote button, which made all the inhibitor collars unlocked and drop out of all superpowered villains' necks.
"Should I borrow any of those shiny items?" Said Magpie.
"You don't understand anything private." Said June Moone.
GEAR UP, MONTAGE
In the armory. Deadshot is loading his bullet ammo onto his arm gauntlets, Black Spider is filling up his red webs, Harley Quinn joyfully picks up her hammer, Captain Boomerang picking up his boomerang, King Shark is eating someone's unicorn doll as his snack. When the owner of the doll reveals it belongs to Boomerang, he lies down on his knees and cries, June Moore puts on her snow uniform and then looks very odd at Weasel putting on his orange jacket, Cluemaster wears his kevlar vest, Killer Moth put on his wings and test it out, Sportsmaster collecting his sports item that he used as the weapon tools, Magpie places her bird claws onto both of her fingers, Dogwelder put on his gas tank onto his back and even pick up his dog puppet doll from the box, Heat Wave happily spinning his flamethrower gun around, Scandal Savage placing her battle faceplate onto her mouth and made her girlfriend; Knockout smile and give her a thumbs-up, Zebra-Man, Killer Frost and Livewire were waiting outside the armory. While Zebra-Man looks very confused turning left and right at both two villains that Killer Frost and Livewire are both lookalikes. Finally, all the villains and Rick Flag are outside the plane waiting for Kevin. He shows up wearing a black colored military outfit and even wears a similar helmet. All of the villains looked very confused.
"You look very much like, Peacemaker." Said Flag.
"Guess this helmet made me look funny." Annoyed Kevin took off his helmet while entering the plane and then sat down.
"Rah, rahh? NAHH!" Speaked Weasel sitting next to Kevin.
"Shampoo smelly, Num, Num?" King Shark sniffed at Kevin and sat next to him as well.
"Believe me, Prince Shark. I"m made out of yuck, yuck." Said Kevin as the plane was lifting off in the air and flew to Northern Canada.
At the entrance of Belle Reve, one of the female guards noticed that the main door was open by itself. "Guys. I think this door is broken again!" She sighed.
However, the main entrance door wasn't broken. Appearing from camouflage after moving far away from the prison base, was the mutant chameleon named Mondo Gecko. He already knows what Baxter Stockman is doing after Shredder's exile. So Mondo grabs his skateboard back from hiding behind the rock and rides it quickly back to the Mutanimal hideout.
NEW YORK CITY, MIGHTY MUTANIMALS RUINED HIDEOUT
During the night in the city. Mondo arrives at the destroyed warehouse which is the Mutanimals HQ. He just takes a deep breath before entering the building. Sally Pride is already outside in the alley nearby looking sadly at Pigeon Pete's feather she is holding.
"Pete" I"m sorry that I didn't stay here with you." Sally sobbed.
Mondo looked around and saw the entire hideout's room had been destroyed in the explosion and everyone is upset that a few of their mates are dead, including their leader Slash. While searching for Old Hob, he patted on Herman's shell because he was honoring the loss of one of his friends: Dr. Rockwell.
"It's been an honor to be at your side, my monkey friend." Said Herman, placing the tiny golden banana near Rockwell's destroyed helmet on the shelf. "We will always remember you." He saluted his fallen friend.
Old Hob sat down on the chair looking at Slash's ninja headband and he too had the same expression after their leader's death. Mondo spotted and walked towards him.
"This is a completely tragic loss, man." Said Mondo sadly.
"I know." Sighed Old Hob. "Did you find out what Stockman is up to?" After Mondo explained everything about Task Force X sent to Canada to find the mutagen. Old Hob lay down on the chair further. "You know kid. Back when I was just a normal cat, I used to like these humans. But now they think they are better than all the mutants like us."
"Well it should be alright, even they allowed all of us to explore more after that discussion- Mondo is about to continue. But Old Hob stands up in anger and glares at Mondo.
"That's just a bunch of outsider aliens!" He shouted which made the other three look at Hob in surprise. "Don't you all get it? Those humans now make friends with the aliens, but not mutants! Our race is dying and our leader Slash wasn't killed by robot ninjas, he was killed by a project that was made by humans! We need to rise quickly and teach them a lesson!"
"Hob, are you saying that we should attack humans?" Said Sally. "That's an awful idea, some of our friends are humans!"
"True. But they are loyal to us. I say Hob is right. I have seen tons of my mates killed during my prison escape, we don't deserve this." Said Man Ray.
"Indeed Man Ray. All five of us aren't big enough to repopulate for all mutants." Said Old Hob, then he turns back to the mutant chameleon. "Mondo. Did you remember which part of northern Canada where the crashed ship is located?"
"I managed to find the map and take a picture of it," said Mondo.
"SHOW US!" Ordered Old Hob and Mondo give Man Ray his phone. After they finished looking at the location of the mutagen. "It seems that Task Force X going through the mutant zone is a serious threat to them. The Mutanimals are ready to leave, but there is one problem." Hob said.
"Sir. I just remembered. It would take a long time to reach Canada by foot." Said Herman.
"Mmm, You're right Herman, my crab friend." Agreed Old Hob. "We had to find something useful." And he along with the other four Mutanimals walk out of the ruined building.
Later at the airport, the pilot is about to enter the airplane, when he is suddenly being grabbed by Old Hob from behind and Hermit stabs him to death with his crab claw.
"Everyone on board. Leave the body here as well." Old Hob ordered and they did. While Mondo and Sally didn't like what Old Hob was planning, he was wanting to save all mutants.
THE NEXT DAY, NORTHERN CANADA
After arriving in Canada. The Suicide Squad begins its mission to push forward the mutant zone and find the Mutagen. While they walked up the snowy white hill. Harley Quinn fell onto the snow ground.
"Can we please warm up our legs for a second?!" Said Harley.
"Jesus, Harley! We just left the plane, ten minutes ago!" Annoyed Scandal while holding Knockout's hand.
"We're traveling here in the cold country and few of you bitches aren't wearing any protective legs!" Said Boomerang.
"Well, at least we're trying to be badasses without them." Said Knockout.
Moth walks closely next to Flag. "Hey, Our-r-r-r-r-r-r colonel Ricky! How come that Kevin gets to be our fourth commander?" He said. "It should've been m-m-me! Or that witch in-n-n-n disguise!" Moth is talking about June.
"I'm not a better fighter." Said June with her shy face.
"You don't get to be the leader just because you are a rip off of Batman, Killer Moth" Said Flag.
"Great. That skin-changing guy will have the ability to slow us down." Said Livewire, who doesn't like the idea of Kevin being one of the team commanders.
"I know that there is a clue about this mission, it's gonna suck!" Said Cluemaster crossly.
"And was there any clue about doing something fun like watching Boomerang's reaction to his ruined unicorn?" Said Kevin.
"Actually, yeah, it did make me laugh, kid." Agreed Cluemaster.
"HEY!" Shouted Captain Boomerang.
"Are we there yet? I don't like my fire to cool down quickly." Said Heat Wave.
"Or hibernation!" Replied Zebra-Man looking at Weasel sleeping down on the snow. "WAKE UP!"
"We've reached the mutant zone, now!" Said Flag, pointed at what appeared to be a big wall and the gate being protected by one guard, which is the big mutant dog.
"Huh. That's it? Just one guard?" Laughed Killer Frost. When Dogwelder saw the face of the mutant dog, he readied his blowtorch and was about to run towards the guard, only for Deadshot to stop him.
"Hold on, Dogwelder," Deadshot shouted quietly. "I know that you have a problem with your backstory, but it is not a good idea to alert them. We have to take him out quietly."
"Oh! How about we should do cool sneak attacks from behind with our legs." Said Magpie.
"That sounds pretty cool. But there's no object for us to cover." Said Scandal, which made Magpie upset.
"Hold on, I have an awesome plan!" Said Kevin.
A few minutes later. The mutant dog is still guarding the door when he sees Zebra-Man, King Shark, and Weasel approaching and stopping in front of him.
"Hi, um, we got lost and we came here to, uh, borrow your car!" Said Zebra-Man which gave the mutant guard a funny confused face and was about to call security, until he got shot by Deadshot's suppression gunshot.
"Huh, All clear" for all of a sudden!" Said Deadshot confused. Then all the Task Force members run towards the gate.
"Now the guard is down, first we had to move-" Rick Flag realized the dead mutant guard dog was already eaten by King Shark in one bite without showing the blood.
"Never mind! Let's all just enter!" He then said as everyone went through the gate.
MUTANT ZONE
The Suicide Squad are walking through the tunnel and when they see the light, they run towards it.
"Bet that light will lead us to the stadium!" Said Sportsmaster.
"Naw, you and your sports stuff references, Sport Lord!" Said Black Spider. "Maybe we will see the biggest turret we have ever seen or the giant insect museum! Or maybe-"
When everyone went through the light, they all stopped in surprise. "Cheap stuff?!" Continued Black Spider.
What the Suicide Squad sees is that the whole mutant zone is the low-budget form of the city. Even the reason that the military can't get past the city by air is revealed to be four separate turret towers. Some of the mutant civilians nearby all saw the task force arrive when they entered. It was a long silence.
"Friends?" Questioned King Shark moving his head around.
"HUMANS!" Yelled one of the mutants and lots of them begin to fire at the Suicide Squad.
"Find cover, people!" Shouted Scandal, which made each of the squad jump and hide some of the objects they saw while Zebra-Man uses his force field powers to avoid getting shot.
"Ohh, now we get it!" Said Knockout saw Zebra-Man blocking the gunshot with his force field powers.
"Quick! Pretend they all act like Stormtroopers missing every shot!" Yelled Kevin.
"Really? God, they suck!" Said Harley, who along with Magpie stood up and checked that the mutant animals act like Stormtroopers, but when the mutants kept firing at them, they stood back down behind the objects. Then Boomerang, standing behind Zebra-Man's force field, threw two boomerangs and knocked some of the guns away from the closest mutant animals to disarm them, and then Deadshot and Cluemaster shot them down with their gunfire.
Flag radioed in Waller while avoiding a bullet shot. "Waller! This is Colonel Rick Flag! We reached the mutant zone, but there were too many civilians to get past and we were outnumbered!"
"Then fight back against them, these mutant creatures are not like the rest of the aliens, and destroy the turret towers first, so the path is clear for evac." Said Waller on the radio.
"Let's split into four groups!" Shouted Deadshot, kept firing his gunshot at the mutants.
"Harley, Boomerang, King Shark, and Killer Frost with me on the left path!" So they did, Killer Frost even summoned ice spike balls by raising her arms and then throwing all of them at some of the mutants before catching up with Deadshot's group.
"Eh, Anyone follows me to the right path!" Ordered Scandal Savage, then she jumped over a box, ran towards one of the mutant animal people while dodging gunfire, and then used her wrist claws to stab through one of the mutant chests and kill it. With the right path cleared. Knockout, Magpie, Sportsmaster, and Livewire all followed Scandal.
"I'll lead Heat Wave, Black Spider, Enchantress, and Weasel to the upper left route. The rest of you with Kevin! Focus on the turret before we advance!" Shouted Flag, while Kevin, Cluemaster, Killer Moth, Zebra-Man, and Dogwelder run towards the upper right route.
As Kevin's group keeps on running towards one of the turret towers. They see two mutant bears approaching to attack them. So Dogwelder ran towards the right and kicked him to the ground, while Zebra-Man used his telekinesis to pick up the barrel nearby and throw it to knock the left mutant bear down. Dogwelder is still beating up the mutant bear until he decides to pull out both his dog puppet and his blowtorch. He moved both of them closely towards the mutant bear's face.
"Whoa, are those dogs? I SEE DOGS EVERY WAY!" Shouted the mutant bear. While Kevin, Cluemaster, Killer Moth, and Zebra-Man all were shocked about seeing Dogwelder's ability.
"That's what Dogwelder does? Making anyone hallucinate the dogs they see by using his puppet while blowtorching their faces!?" Said Zebra-Man.
"Let's all let him do what he's always been doing." Said Kevin, who then looked at one of the turret towers nearby. "Cluemaster! You're the CLUE master, right? Is there something to destroy it?"
Cluemaster looks closely at the turret until he notices that there is a fuel pipe around it. "I found some fueling pipes." Said Cluemaster.
"Cool!" Interrupted Kevin. "Killer Moth should fly over there and destroy the tower with his, um, what gadget did you bring?"
"I ha-a-a-a-ave this sticky b-b-bombs." Killer Moth shows it to his squadmates. Then he got an awkward realization. "LATER!" As he used his moth wings to fly up towards the turret tower. As he activated his sticky bombs while in the air, lots of mutants birds flew behind him and started firing their gunshots at Killer Moth, but he avoided the shot and fired back at them by using his cocoon gun.
"He needs help! Oh well, time for me to go bird hunting!" Said Kevin removing his gloves and turning his whole body into ice material by absorbing the ice spikes on the small building rooftop. He then fired ice spike attacks upwards at a few of the mutant birds in the air. After Cluemaster shot the last flying mutant down. Killer Moth flew towards the turret tower, threw the sticky bomb at the fuel pipe, and then it blew up the whole tower to rubble.
"Good Killer Moth, now destroy the rest!" Shouted Kevin.
"Uhh" It the o-o-o-o-only sticky bomb I had during the mission!" Reply Killer Moth in the air.
"Really?!" Annoyed Kevin with the facepalm. "Alright. Just give us our air support while we push forward." He ordered and he along with Cluemaster, Zebra-Man, and even Dogwelder carried on getting through the mutants blocking the way while Killer Moth was shooting at the enemies in the air.
Meanwhile, Flag's group is still trying to get past the mutant animals. Flag fired his machine gun at the enemies he saw, while Black Spider jumped around shooting his red webs at them. He then grabs the pistol from the mutant anteater.
"I am the clone trooper!" Black Spider shouted, pointing the gun straight at the mutant." When he fired, he completely missed the shot. "Um, It happened because we're bad guys."
Black Spider knocked the mutant anteater out with his fist and then trapped him with his webs. When Weasel looked down closer and was about to eat him, he then got kicked from behind by the mutant goat.
"YAAAAHH" Roared Weasel pushes the mutant goat through the window along with him.
*CRUNCH, CRUNCH, CRUNCH!* and then, *BURP* is then heard as he eats the goat.
Heat Wave enjoys burning down the cheap building with his flamethrower. When he notices June not fighting and hiding behind some of the creatures.
"Meh. She is not a witch yet. But at least she won't be caught in the middle of the burning ground! HAHAHA!" Heat Wave laughed.
As the battle continued, June Moone noticed the female mutant rabbit standing on the rooftop and pointed her rifle at Heat Wave's fuel tank on his back. "HEAT WAVE, LOOK OUT! She shouted.
"What for? Look out for the-" Heat Wave fueling tank got shot and then, *KABOOM* The explosion killed Heat Wave and turned him into dust. June screamed and turned herself into Enchantress again. She used her magic power to pull and rip the turret tower down and crushed the mutant sniper to death when it hit the ground.
"Second tower is down! Too bad, Heat Wave missed the big fire." Said Flag.
Near the third turret tower. Scandal Savage's group was surrounded by the mutants. Livewire uses her electric attacks to stun the approaching mutant animals.
"Not a fan of that mutant robin bird anyway." Joked Livewire while avoiding the mutant's swing punch. Knockout ripped out the part of the steel wall with her bare hands because of her super-strength power and then used it to hit three of the mutant animals as a weapon.
Magpie uses her finger claws to scratch a few of the mutant animals around her and then spin kicks at all of them to knock them down. She even took one of the mutants' wallets.
"Only some coins? You, my good man, are very cheap!" Said Magpie, dropping the wallet.
While Scandal keeps on fighting against the mutant wolf. She saw one of them far away throwing the grenade in the air. "Incoming grenade!" She shouted.
Sportsmaster stared at the falling while walking back and then used his baseball bat to knock it right towards the fuel pipe of the third turret tower and it exploded. "This home run record has exploded!" He said while hitting the approaching mutant with the handle of the bat without looking.
Suddenly after the explosion, the whole tower is beginning to collapse. The entirety of Scandal's group already saw the tower falling straight towards them, so Scandal, Knockout, Sportsmaster, Livewire, and Magpie had to run away safely. But as they run. The mutant wolf got back up after Scandal injured him and used the gun to shoot Magpie in the leg. Making her fall down wounded.
"Argh! Wait, Guys! I'm falling-" Shouted Magpie trying to crawl away from the falling tower. Scandal, Knockout, Sportsmaster, and Livewire turn around and try to help Magpie, but it was too late, she was crushed to death by the fallen turret tower.
Finally, Deadshot, Harley, Boomerang, King Shark, and Killer Frost are approaching the final turret tower. Deadshot is loading his grenade launcher and ready to fire at the fuel pipe of the turret tower, but the launcher got destroyed by the gunshot of more incoming mutant animals from behind.
"That's the first time somebody broke one of my special weapons." Said Deadshot as he fired his gauntlet machine gun at them. While King Shark grabs the mutant angler fish and eats him with one bite.
"Hey King Shark, mate. Save your biggest hunger for your dinner!" Said Boomerang, throwing lots of his boomerangs at some of the mutants in front of him.
Killer Frost used her ice beam to freeze the mutant buffalo. "Does anyone know how to destroy that big gun building there!" She shouted. Harley Quinn is skipping on top of the fainted mutant Komodo dragon while knocking out each of the mutants next to her with her toy hammer, like the xylophone.
"Leave that to the friendliest clown you've ever had!" She said while spinning around, and then she threw the custard pie at the turret tower's fuel pipe. "I learned that from the cartoon about the underwater sponge and it should explode in five-second!"
Killer Frost is very annoyed. "That is the stupidest idea I have ever-" The pie exploded and destroyed the top side of the tower.
"Fireworks!" Said King Shark happily.
"Um, good thinking clown girl." Said Deadshot, looking at the destruction.
Now that all of the turret towers have been destroyed. All the Suicide Squad members regroup and managed to find the other path to the exit of the mutant zone. Despite losing Heat Wave and Magpie during the battle to blow up all four towers, the whole squad made it out and they carried on searching for the crashed ship.
A few minutes later, meanwhile, the Mighty Mutanimals have already made it to northern Canada. They enter the mutant zone city through the entrance tunnel.
"Hob, do you think these people should be enough to recruit?" Said Mondo.
"It is the Ooze that we wanted." Answered Old Hob. "Now we have to tell every mutant in this city to help us out. Besides I heard that they enjoyed life as the mutants instead of-"
When the Mutanimals were out of the tunnel wall. They were shocked to see that the whole city had been destroyed and some of the mutant animals had been injured or dead.
"Hey! Are you alright? What happened?!" Said Man Ray getting the mutant mongoose up.
"An army of humans and a few mutants attacked our city and tower." Said the injured mutant mongoose, struggling to speak up.
"You see what I mean! Those humans think they are better than the rest of all mutant races! We all had to act fast!" Shouted Old Hob, who then turned to the crowd of city mutants.
"Listen everyone. Those humans are about to take the supplies of Ooze before us. There is still a chance to put a stop to this!" So everyone all followed the Mutanimals and all moved to the location where the Suicide Squad is heading.
TRICERATONS' CRASHED TRANSPORT SHIP
The Suicide Squad finally found one of the Triceratons' transport ships, that was crashed landing during the invasion. Dogwelder uses his blowtorch to heat the frozen door and then kick it open so everyone could get inside the ship. As everyone is getting inside the destroyed ship. Enchantress senses something dangerous coming during the finishing phase of the mission.
"You looking at the cloud, Enchantress?" Question Sportsmaster, looking at her.
"I see nothing!" Said Enchantress getting inside the ship.
While inside the Triceratons" transport ship. The whole squad split up again and began searching around to find the mutagen. Soon, some of the members found the cargo bay and checked inside lots of items to see if the ooze was inside.
"Huh. These space dinosaurs' weapons look smarter than mine." Said Deadshot looking at the Triceratons' weapons.
"Yo, guys! I think I found it!" Shouted Kevin, and everyone watches as Kevin picks up a big capsule filled with the different colors of the Ooze. Then he put it on the ground.
"Whoa! This must be it!" Surprised Zebra-Man.
"Uhh, P? Naw! G, Yah." Confused Weasel.
"Hey yeah, I realize what you mean, Weasel. All oozes AKA mutagen are meant to be colored green, instead of purple. That's what Shredder told me." Said Black Spider.
"Alright Black Spider, you can explain everything after the job is done." Said Flag. "Right now, we should bring this Mutagen-" But suddenly, before Flag can finish what he said.
Zebra-Man uses his telekinesis to pull the mutagen capsule onto his hand. Everyone points their weapons at Zebra-Man after he uses the capsule to hit Dogwelder and Weasel nearby.
"Of course, sometimes we get the traitor!" Boomerang exclaimed while boarding, holding his boomerangs.
"Zebra-Man, you traitor! You care about those mutants that we attacked, don't you!" Shouted Cluemaster.
"Yes! I can't stand all of them falling by the hands of humans. So I should give this slime as a treatment for all mutants!" Shouted Zebra-Man.
"Stand down horse! You have forgotten that something bad is gonna happen to you or we all failed!" Shouted Scandal.
"Then I should stay away!" Zebra-Man uses his telekinesis to break the ceiling apart and landed on some of the Suicide Squad members. Which gives the chance for Zebra-Man to dash out of the room with the Ooze capsule he stole.
"After that Zebra!" Ordered Kevin Levin. But then there was a big bang from a distance.
"W-w-w-what that banging s-s-s-s-s-sound?" Jumped Killer Moth, The Enchantress teleported herself outside the crashed ship to check out what it is. When she does, Enchantress sees the Mutanimals and the army of the mutated civilians approaching.
"FIRE!" Shouted Herman as he fired his missiles from his shell right at the crashed ship. Enchantress managed to teleport back inside before the missile hit her from above.
At Belle Reve, Amanda Waller sees each Suicide Squad member's point of view on each of the detonator cameras onscreen. When she already knows that Zebra-Man is searching for his way while holding the mutagen.
"You've been a bad boy, Jacob," Waller said as she pressed Zebra-Man's detonator button.
Cut back to Triceratons" crashed ship. Zebra-Man felt that he couldn't remember where the exit was until he heard the beeping coming from inside his neck, it sounded quicker and quicker.
"Wait, no! Waller, I can explain-" Zebra-Man shouted in fear as he felt the implant activate. Then his head shakes up and begins to explode. Enchantress just teleported far away a bit, when she saw Zebra-Man's head burst into flames and his body landed on the ground, the mutagen dropped from his hand and it fell through the damaged hole. The Suicide Squad arrived after hearing the explosion.
"BAD ZEBRA!" Said Harley angrily at Zebra-Man's body.
"Welp, at least he didn't join up with those guys. Wait, where is that purple shit thing he is holding?" Questioned Killer Frost.
"He dropped it down to the bridge over the offline core." Answered Enchantress and then more of the mutant animals appeared in both front of them and behind.
"Oh c'mon, they won't give up!" Shouted Livewire and then she uses her electric attacks to paralyze the back mutant group approaching.
When the front group begins to fire their gunfire at the whole squad, Enchantress catches all the bullets with her magic power and drops them all down to the ground. Then Boomerang knocks three of them down with his boomerang attacks, while Moth shoots down others with his cocoon gun in one shot as well.
"I better get down there and get that mutagen back. Can anyone give me some co-op mode!" Said Kevin, dashing off to find the Ooze with Livewire and Dogwelder helping behind him.
"Everyone, time to get serious and give them some support." Shouted Black Spider as he along with Weasel joined Kevin while shooting webs at the mutants.
"Hate to say, but the kid is right!" Said Knockout, who jumps towards the mutant gorilla and repeatedly gives the mutant tons of super punches in the face. Then Scandal Savage stabs the approaching mutant spider with her wrist claws.
King Shark attacks some of the mutants using their melee attacks instead of eating them. Deadshot, Cluemaster, Moth, and Flag fire at them using their gunfire, Enchantress and Killer Frost use their powers on the mutants, while Boomerang keeps throwing his same weapon at the enemies he sees, and Sportsmaster knocked down the mutant chicken by throwing four hockey balls at her. When she was down Harley kept hitting the chicken with her baseball bat.
"No, No, No! Harley!" Sportsmaster yanks the bat out of Harley's hand. "You have to knock down quickly by swinging at them horizontally when they are standing still." He teaches her a bit.
"Ohh" Right! Thanks, Casey's rip-off!" Said Harley after Sportsmaster gave the bat back to her. She then turned to the three mutant animals and then knocked them all down by swinging her baseball bat horizontally.
As the battle continued, one of the mutant animals loaded the rocket launcher and fired at the whole Squad. Killer Frost saw the approaching rocket and built her ice shield by using her powers, but when the rocket hit her shield, the force of the blast hit her badly and she was thrown down onto the floor.
"FROST!" Shouted Deadshot.
"NO!" Replied Harley Quinn with a shocked face. King Shark checks that Killer Frost is breathing. She sounded like she was beginning to die.
"Just do your thing if you don't want to be like me!" Killer Frost spoke her last breath before passing away. As the fight keeps on going, the whole squad ends up fighting against too many mutants.
"How many of those people are there, Waller? There are too many to handle." Shouted Flag, still firing at the mutant animals.
"If there are lots of mutants you are facing, just stay put and keep fighting." Waller's voice on the radio ordered.
"Sta-a-a-a-ay put?" Shouted Moth firing his cocoon gun at the mutants. "We'll probably d-d-d-d-die in a few minutes!" He flies up with his wings and keeps on shooting.
"Welp. Looks like we all die fighting against those farm animals together, Scandal!" Said Knockout, who knocked a few of the mutants in front of her down with her melee combo.
"And we also might end up in the afterlife together, Knockout my love!" Scandal replied, slicing two of the mutants with her wrist claws. Then she and Knockout kissed before carrying on fighting.
"I ship those two!" Smiled Harley, helping out Enchantress, Boomerang, and Cluemaster.
Meanwhile, Kevin, Black Spider, Livewire, Dogwelder, and Weasel are still running towards the offline core of the ship, where the mutagen has landed. When more mutant animals approach, blocking their path, they attack them, whether the mutants are killed outright or knocked out. The squad members use their various tactics to fight, Kevin's material melee attacks, Livewire's lightning, Black Spider's webs shooter, Weasel's claws, and even Dogwelder using his blowtorch on any mutant faces. After the path is cleared, they keep on going towards the core.
"Dogwelder! Open the door with your torch!" Kevin ordered and Dogwelder had to do what he was told. Soon. Dogwelder managed to open up the door and give everyone a thumb up. Until he saw Old Hob, Herman, Man Ray, Mondo, and Sally approaching with their weapons pointing at the whole group.
"Let me guess. It was you guys, lead the whole trying to kill us thingy." Questioned Livewire.
"No, well, we are helping those civilians going after you. We all came from New York to get the mutagen to raise all mutants after some of our friends are dead!" Said Old Hob pointing his gun.
"Wait a minute. You're Old Hob, the Foot Clan told me about it! The co-captain of the mutanimals! Should have known that there were more of them!" Said Black Spider.
"Oh. You must be the young private, who was part of the army called the League of Assassins, that I remember seeing captured on television." Said Herman.
"Look. We just wanted the Ooze!" Sally Pride said. "Would you please move out of the way?"
"Naw. I like to be ready to fight against that pirate pussycat here." Said Kevin.
"Very well then." Smirked Old Hob, starting to fire his pistol at Kevin, only for him to dodge a gunshot and punch Hob in the face, as they both fight.
"I chose the chameleon!" Black Spider runs towards Mondo Gecko and while he jumps, he kicks him.
"Ugh. I always get to fight the funny one" Mondo gets back up, turns invisible and starts fighting against Black Spider.
While Weasel starts to use his claws to attack Man Ray, he is hit with the handle of Man Ray's machine gun, and keeps on fighting. Livewire shoots out her lightning attacks on Sally Pride, but she dodges it and Sally uses the pipe to attack her. Dogwelder tried to use his blowtorch and his dog puppet doll on Herman, so he went crazy seeing the dogs in his vision, but Herman destroyed Dogwelder's puppet using his claw to decapitate it, firing his gatling gun from his shell at Dogwelder. But Dogwelder avoided the shot and kept on using his blowtorch on Herman.
Kevin and Old Hob were still having a fist fight until they pushed each into the core room. They all saw the Ooze capsule on the end of the bridge they were standing on. They both got back and tried to reach the mutagen while they carried on having a fist fight.
"Should've stayed in your mutant form, like me!" Shouted Old Hob while hitting Kevin with his street fighting style kick.
"You knew?" Kevin hit Hob with his elbow. "Of course, everybody knows. Because of television!" He gives Hob his punch combo.
As the fight continues, Old Hob pulls out his gun and aims right near Kevin's forehead, who smirks while touching Hob's gun to turn his whole body metal. Old Hob dropped his gun and then kept on fighting, but Kevin's metal body was too strong, pushing Hob to the ground and beating him up with his fist. As he tried to knock the mutant cat down, Herman appeared and fired his missile launcher at Kevin. He survived the blast, but was knocked out and his body changed back to normal.
"Your powers were strong. But your true self won't survive anything strong." Old Hob picks the gun up and is ready to shoot Kevin.
However, Dogwelder shows up by jumping over Herman and knocks Hob down by kicking him. When Herman is about to fire his minigun at him, Dogwelder quickly uses his blowtorch to rip the big gun off of his shells and then knocks Herman out with his strong kick. After the mutant crab fainted, Dogwelder's leg suddenly got shot from behind by Old Hob. The injured Dogwelder tried to get back up, but Old Hob killed him by shooting him in the back side of his head. Kevin got back up with his body made out of metal again after absorbing the floor and knocked Old Hob out from behind with his metal punch.
Kevin picks up the mutagen capsule while carrying Dogwelder's dead body. "You may be the weird guy, but without you we'd all be dead." Said Kevin sadly, taking the other route out of the core.
Outside the core room. Man Ray is still battling Weasel until he grabs him and tosses him towards Livewire, knocking both unconscious. Black Spider kicked the mutant man ray down and trapped with his webs, then avoided pipe swing attacks from Sally, only for Black Spider to get hit by Mondo's skateboard.
"Hey you guys! Have you seen that cat leader of yours? We are about to defeat all of those humans! Should we execute them?" Shouted the mutant squid.
Sally Pride is about to speak up, but then she looks at three fainted squad members around her. "No. They all had enough. Let's all leave this place." Said Sally Pride.
"WHAT?" Shouted Man Ray trapped in the webs. "We can't let them all live."
"I agree with Sally. They, uhh, seem to be tougher than we thought!" Mondo lied as he dragged the trapped out of here.
Few of the mutants already found and picked up the fainted Old Hob and Herman out of the core room and the whole army of mutant animals all leaving the Triceratons' destroyed transport ship. All of the Suicide Squad members were all confused including Black Spider, Livewire and Weasel when they wake up.
"Huh. That's a very hard, but lucky battle." Said Sportsmaster.
"Bye, bye." Said Captain Boomerang happily waved goodbye and gave them a middle finger. Then he saw Kevin approaching carrying the ooze capsule and Dogwelder's body.
"Dogwelder just saved everyone from having our heads blown up." Said Kevin and everyone was stunned that their welder mate was dead. It was the long silence.
Later, the plane arrived for Evac after being called by Flag. "Alright everyone get inside, it's gonna be another long trip back." Said Flag, entering the plane carrying the mutagen capsule while the remaining members of the Suicide Squad gave all their respect to Kevin.
"Good boy." Said King Shark, patting Kevin back before getting inside the plane.
THE NEXT DAY, BELLE REVE
Kevin Levin, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, Harley Quinn, King Shark, Scandal Savage, Knockout, Black Spider, Enchantress, Livewire, Killer Moth, Cluemaster, Sportsmaster, Weasel, and Rick Flag all arrived back at Belle Reve, Flag giving the mutagen capsule to Baxter Stockman and the Foot Clan. Amanda Waller gave them a reduction of their prison sentence as their reward, and then put them all back the next day. After Hugo Strange got a call from Lex Luthor and Vandal Savage, she decided to release them from Belle Reve. Black Spider, Scandal and Knockout left prison with Stockman because they all worked for the Legion. The rest of them went off to do something whatever they do, whether they return to crime or not. As for Kevin, he just walked away and hasn't been seen since the mission. Does he want to go back to getting revenge on Ben Tennyson? The answer is unknown.
MIGHTY MUTANIMALS' RUINED HIDEOUT
After the Mighty Mutanimals landed at New York on the plane, moving the surviving mutant animals from the city zone from Canada to their new homes, they arrived back at their destroyed base.
"Sally. Was that the right thing to do?" Whispered Mondo.
"I have no idea what is going on with Hob. Yeah, helping out the other mutants was a good thing, but still." Said Sally Pride until Old Hob, Man Ray and Herman show up with the staring looks.
"Sally Pride. We need to talk about your disobeying order, in private." Said Old Hob, who didn't sound too happy.
LEGION OF DOOM HEADQUARTERS, SLAUGHTER SWAMP.
"The Task Force X plan was a success," declared Vandal Savage as he entered the group's meeting room and smirked. "Now that my daughter and other Squad members are all being released due to safely securing the mutagen… the Foot Clan will live on."
"It is unfortunate that some of them sacrificed themselves to save the Clan," observed Lady Shiva. "But at least Karai will not be able to take over as their leader."
"Indeed," agreed Lex Luthor, who was cleaning his upgraded battle armor. "The Brainiac parts that we used to upgrade any of our weapons and armor, mean that they are now more powerful and stronger than ever. Perfect for cleaning up any of the so-called heroes around the globe."
"Perfect," declared Brainiac, in his A.I. form, on the holographic computer. "Shall I proceed?"

NOTE 2: There are lots of TMNT characters from the IDW comics who make their appearances in this crossover series, which are Old Hob, Herman the hermit crab, Man Ray, Mondo Gecko and Sally Pride. All of their IDW counterparts are also the members of the Mighty Mutanimals.
NOTE 3: King Shark and Weasel's characters and personality are inspired by their counterparts from the James Gunn's Suicide Squad film. Plus Magpie's character design is inspired by her counterpart from the most short-lived DC show: Beware the Batman.
NOTE 4: In order to keep the whole series PG-13. Dogwelder carries around his Dog puppet doll instead of the dead body of the same animal like he did in the original comics.
NOTE 5: Speaking of which, the reason why Dogwelder and Livewire are chosen to be the Suicide Squad members is because they considering to appeared in the James Gunn's DC film, but soon being rejected. So I decided to give these guys a chance to be part of it!
NOTE 6: Magpie and Zebra-Man being included is a reference to Tom Taylor's 2019 Suicide Squad run, where they were members, and Heat Wave's inclusion is a reference to the Suicide Squad's guest appearance in the comic featuring the Levi Kamei incarnation of Swamp Thing, of which Heat Wave was present on the squad. Killer Moth is included based on his membership in the Injustice incarnation of the team, and Cluemaster comes from the 2001 Suicide Squad run.
