EPISODE TITLE: ARCHER ROOKIE
CONSTRUCTION TOWER, BROOKLYN, NEW YORK
In the middle of the night in Brooklyn, New York. Few of the Justice League members were patrolling around the city's construction tower, searching for the villain that was hiding somewhere indoors. One of the league members; Rook Blonko, is looking around on the middle floor and uses his Proto-Tool tracker mode to find the villain.
*BEEP, BEEP, BEEP*
"This is Rook. Are you sure the rat monster that we are after is dangerous?" Rook talking to Black Canary in his ear-comm.
"Our target is actually a Weasel. He is not that dangerous from what I heard." Answered Black Canary voice on the comm. She's currently leading this mission.
"Not unless you fought against this dumb creature. I faced him a few times." Replied Firestorm from the comm as well.
"What kind of Weasel just crawled around this whole building that was under construction in the middle of the night?" Confused Rook.
"Hiding his own snacks?" Said Firestorm voice on the comm.
Just then, Rook saw the shadowy figure running from the corner next to him. His Proto-Tool tracker mode even confirmed that it is the target. "Hold on, I think I found him! Regroup on me and ready with the animal net!" Said Rook before chasing after the shadow figure.
"On our way!" Black Canary understood and deactivated her ear-comm.
Rook Blonko chasing after the shadow figure. However, unknown to him, he is running through some unknown gas around him and when he goes into the doorway, Rook Blonko then sees the figure that looks like the shape of the Revonnahgander race. Rook can't believe seeing one of the people from his old homeworld still alive.
Years ago at Rook's home planet called the Revonnah. It was a majestic and beautiful planet with multiple suns. Rook lived on the farm with his parents. All the Revonnahgander species on this planet were having a peaceful life. Until Vilgax came along and wanted to drill for blue oil, but when the Revonnahgander refused because it might destroy the whole planet, Vilgax decided to take it by force. It led to the planet invasion and the whole army of Revonnahgander refused to surrender. So Vilgax destroyed the planet. But before the giant laser hit the entire Revonnah, The young Rook had been placed into the escape pod by his own parents and when he left his home planet orbit, he saw his whole home had been destroyed by his own eyes. It haunts Rook throughout the years.
"Could it be?!" Surprised Rook and he reaches the Revonnahgander person. But it turns out that it was just a hallucination and wasn't one of his species, but it was Vilgax, who was killing all the rest of the Revonnahganders back then. Rook was boiling in anger and repeatedly attacked Vilgax.
As Rook kept attacking Vilgax mercilessly while his fist bleeding, Black Canary showed up and held his arm. "ROOK, STOP!" shouted Canary. "You've almost killed him!"
"Yeah, dude." Firestorm agreed with Canary. "Isn't that too extreme."
Rook finally snaps back to reality, realizing that he's brutalizing Weasel, who is completely beaten. Vilgax was just part of his hallucination.
"I'm sorry…" Rook is feeling guilty. "I didn't mean-"
"That's enough." told Canary, then turned her attention towards Firestorm. "Firestorm, can you send him back to the Hospital?"
"On it." replied Firestorm, then carried Weasel and flew away.
HALL OF JUSTICE, WASHINGTON D.C.
The next morning, Rook Blonko is summoned by Batman to run a drug test. It turns out that he was gassed by a fear gas, which Batman is very familiar with. Batman was about to suspend Rook out of action, but Black Canary convinced Batman not to, instead Rook was sent to the private room where Dinah Lance, also known as Black Canary, was a professional guidance counselor who helped troubled people, including superheroes. Ben Tennyson couldn't be there because he had his week suspended from doing superhero stuff after his action against Kevin Levin back when he was a mutated alien. Ben was being watched rotationally by Kara and Gwen. While out of suspension, Ben's aunt and Uncle also told him to get a job instead of doing nothing at home. But Ben couldn't get a job since he's been gone from Earth for 8 years, and the reason why he couldn't get to college, unlike Kara and Gwen. However, Ben met his Grandfather, Max Tennyson, to help him fix cars. He wouldn't have thought that he'd make money while in the middle of a suspension.
"Let's start from the beginning." Black Canary started the therapy session with Rook.
"When I was gassed, I saw my homeworld again." Rook explains. "I never thought I missed home. But then I saw this… monster. He came to my homeworld and killed all my people for not submitting. What's worse is that he destroyed my homeworld."
Rook tried to hold back his tears but couldn't. Black Canary would ask about this monster, but she rather not push.
"This monster… is it exactly what you saw in your mind?"
Rook didn't answer, but Canary already knew the answer was yes.
"I understand this is the first time you've encountered the Scarecrow. He can affect anyone with fear." Black Canary said. "Rest, recover, and-"
"No." Rook cuts in. "I can't run away from my fear. I've learned that from my mentor."
Based on Rook's expression, Black Canary knew he wouldn't back down. "Batman wouldn't approve, but what if you will be supervised by me and Green Arrow?"
Rook knew he didn't have any other choice "Sounds fair."
"But if things get sideways, you will be pulled out of the mission."
"Deal."
"Now I'll just have to report this to Batman."
Cut to Batman, who's currently on monitor duty in the Hall of Justice, Obsidian walking towards him.
"Batman, there's still no report on the missing Titans members." Said Obsidian.
"Let's just hope that there aren't any League members missing." replied Batman. He already knew the news when Nightwing was reporting to Batman about the missing Titans members a few days ago.
"I'm afraid things are getting worse, Billy's foster siblings went missing. Obsidian added another report.
Batman just narrowed his eyes, didn't want to show any worries to any of his fellow Leaguers, and really didn't like the idea that young heroes went missing.
THE QUIVER, STAR CITY
Soon after, Rook, Green Arrow, and Black Canary arrived at Green Arrow's secret lair, The Quiver. "Uhh, What are we doing here?" Rook Blonko was confused.
"Meeting your team for this mission" Green Arrow opens the door and Rook enters. They both walk down the stairs and see some of the heroes; John Diggle/Spartan, Arsenal, Tigress, and Arrowette, chatting in the secret basement and then looking at Rook.
"Say hello to Team Arrow. You find that name don't you?" Said Green Arrow. But Rook finds the team very interesting and the name of it isn't funny.
"It is a pleasure to meet you guys." greeted Rook.
"Ehem, not everyone here is on Team Arrow, you know." another person from behind replies; revealed to be Nightwing. "Batman gave me this, in case we're facing Scarecrow again." he pulled out a small bottle of an antidote.
Nightwing insisted on being a part of this mission, as a leader of the Titans, he felt responsible to look for his missing teammates.
ONE DAY EARLIER. FAWCETT CITY
Billy Batson and Pedro Pena were walking out of Burger King in the night.
"Maybe you shouldn't have eaten too much ketchup and mustard altogether." Smiled Billy.
"I did make the burger even tastier." Said Pedro. When they both take a shortcut by walking through the alleyway, Pedro hears a noise.
"Uhh, I don't think it's a good idea to go this way." He is frightened a little bit.
"What, was it all because we played too many Five Nights at Freddy's fan games? It's just a random hobo or an animal. I know that you're not part of the Titans yet, but you will be if you light up a bit." Said Billy without knowing it was actually the giant shadowy creature hiding from the corner behind them.
When Billy and Pedro were out of the alleyway, they saw that their own flat had been attacked.
"What the hell…" Billy was shocked.
Then the giant creature is revealed to be Man-Bat after he lands behind the two kids and begins to attack them. Billy and Pedro tried to turn themselves into Shazam by shouting their own codenames, but the archer dressed in black standing on the rooftop nearby fired the stunning bow right near his legs. Both Billy and Pedro were knocked out before they could transform into powerful superheroes. Then Man-Bat carried Pedro Pena while Dark Archer carried the unconscious Billy. Finally, a robot-like ninja known as Cypher opens a portal for an exit for himself, Man-Bat, Dark Archer, and their unconscious heroes, Billy and Pedro. They entered the portal and escaped.
(PRESENT DAY) THE QUIVER, STAR CITY
Back to the Quiver, Nightwing was searching for the missing Titans member by borrowing the Arrowcomputer for a while. Black Canary, on the other hand, was outside patrolling the city and promised Green Arrow that she'll report if something went wrong.
Spartan was asking Green Arrow. "Hey, Queen. Do any of your super friends find two of Shazam's foster pals?"
"What happened to them?" Asked Rook.
"They're missing." Green Arrow replied. "That's what happened."
"Which is why the Titans are on a top priority alert to search the Shazam-family." Nightwing interrupted. "Freddy and Eugene are already on a search."
Meanwhile, Tigress was approaching Nightwing. "Well, what about you? Did you find anything?"
"Barbara is much better at this, but she's currently on the job." Nightwing replied. "My hacking skills are quite a bit rusty, but checking the security camera footage is easy enough."
The Arrowcomputer makes the computer screen switch on and shows the green skin kid (Beast Boy) sitting on the bench reading comics. But then the computer screen shows the footage where Beast Boy was missing in a blink.
Nightwing is getting suspicious with the footage. "Hold up…"
Nightwing began to type the computer board again, then managed to fix the actual footage.
The footage reveals that Beast Boy was sitting on a bench while reading comic books until he was knocked out by a stunning arrow from behind and Man-Bat kidnapped him. The mutant bat villain caught Beast Boy so fast that the rest of Team Arrow didn't know who the kidnapper looked like because it moves fast.
"What the hell?" Arsenal looked down after seeing a creature.
"Hold up." halted Green Arrow. "Nightwing, try to zoom the camera.
Nightwing zoomed in on the camera, revealing to be a black arrow that is familiar to Green Arrow's eyes.
"Malcolm, I should've known." Green Arrow recognized the arrow belonged.
"Malcolm?" asked Rook. "As in the Dark Archer?" Rook has been studying the criminal files to learn about his enemies as a League member.
"He has… some sort of a rivalry with Ollie." explained Arsenal.
"Like Batman and Joker?" asked Rook.
"Yeah."
"Ahem." interrupted Arrowette "What about that giant creature?"
"Just a minute." Said Nightwing, as it didn't take long for him to pause the blurred creature from the footage. Finally, Nightwing managed to unblur the picture. "There!"
It is revealed to be Man-Bat from the footage.
"Man-Bat? The capture of any superheroes, is a Man-Bat?" Arsenal with his odd face.
"Batman has a doppelganger?" Confused Rook.
"No, no, no, I mean it does sound like the doppelganger name. But 'MAN-BAT' is the scientist who tried to cure his hearing deafness using his formula, but it made him into a half-human and half-bat monster. If I remember correctly from Batman." Said Tigress.
"Yeah. Man-Bat is one of the foes of our bats himself. But the biggest problem is… How the hell does a big mutant bat like him go all the way from Gotham and locate a bunch of super kids before yanking them away from their parents?!" Thought Green Arrow.
"Perhaps it might be some sort of plan similar to Count Vertigo before it was fouled by Ben. I'm guessing that we should all find out." Said Rook.
"That's a good idea. But where can we find Man-Bat?" Said Spartan.
STAR CITY
Meanwhile, Black Canary has just finished stopping the drug factory from a warehouse. But then, she has the feeling that she's being followed. She pretends to let her guard down by walking down the street. As something flying fast and about to attack her from above, Black Canary quickly uses her Canary Cry to knock off the assailant behind her. It was revealed to be Man-Bat.
As Black Canary was busy fighting against Man-Bat, Dark Archer and Scarecrow were looking down from the rooftops.
"I told you she's a pain in the ass." warned Dark Archer.
"Looks like it's time to use the special arrow I gave to you." replied Scarecrow.
The archer replied with just a smirk.
As Black Canary was distracted, an arrow was shot near her. The gas released from the arrow inself is revealed to be a fear gas.
*HISSS*
Black Canary began to start hallucinating, where she saw a couple of Justice Society of America members are fallen and all dead; all but her mother, Dinah Drake Lance, the first Black Canary, who grabbed her and said "You should have helped us… you could've done more…"
Back to reality, Black Canary was sweating and shivering in fear, which was an opportunity for Man-Bat to carry. Cypher shows up right next to Man-Bat and opens a portal for them to escape while carrying Black Canary.
UNKNOWN LOCATION
After Cypher teleported the villain back to the unknown hideout. Scarecrow placed the fainted Black Canary onto the floor, tied her up with the rope, and gagged her, Cypher arrived in the room, picking up her ear comm from her ears and crushing it with his hand.
"We'll make sure she's unable to tell the boring super-club members." Said Scarecrow as he left the room and shut the door. While Cypher walked towards the knocked-out Black Canary and ready the injector.
"Hey, bag-head. What the hell were you doing at the construction tower, the same day you avoided that stupid Weasel yesterday?" Said Cheshire watching him walk away.
"Just helping out the Legion with their special project." Answered Scarecrow.
FLASHBACK, CONSTRUCTION TOWER, BROOKLYN, NEW YORK
Show a flashback about yesterday at the construction tower. Scarecrow is picking up the equipment until he hears that Rook is approaching. So he hid in the shadows and deployed his own fear gas.
PRESENT DAY, BACK TO THE UNKNOWN LOCATION
Inside the cell was captured superheroes: Billy Batson, Mary Bromfield, Pedro Pena, Darla Dudley, Beast Boy, Hawk, and Dove. Each of the heroes is in their separate cells, but unlike Beast Boy, Hawk, and Dove, whose currently wearing inhibitor collars for using their powers, Billy Batson, Mary Bromfield, Pedro Pena, and Darla Dudley were tied and gagged to keep them from shouting SHAZAM!
"Well… Look at us people. We are the badass Titans, who were all being kidnapped by a giant bat and we are unable to use our power because of our stupid disabled collar! Called this the Top 10 bullshit moments list" Annoyed Hawk.
"Dude! There are underage kids in the room" Beast Boy told to Hawk
"Whoops, my bad…" Hawk only replied in his sarcastic tone.
"Mmmph, mmph" muffled Darla, who's being gagged.
Just then. Scarecrow enters the room and introduces himself to some of the Titans members. "Good evening kids, do not be frightened. My name is the Scarecrow." He said.
"We already know who you are and what have you done to Black Canary?" Dove calmly gives Scarecrow her narrow eyes.
"She is already having a relaxing evening with a robot, so she is fine. Now let me tell you something, I know that you lots all just wanted to be superheroes. But it can stay away from anyone you love and care about. So who would like to tell me about your backstory? …No? Very well!" Said Scarecrow and he shut the door.
"Giving him silence. Good work people!" Smiled Beast Boy. But then he notices fear gas all around him.
Upstairs of the hideout. Cypher got messages from two of his Assassin comrades about their discovery of another Titans member. So let Man-Bat out of the cage and order him fly into his teleported portal that he activated using his own arms.
DOOMSBURY MANSION, OUTSIDE
Man-Bat arrived from the portal before it disappeared. He hovers above Cheshire and Dark Archer (AKA Merlyn the Archer) hiding behind the steel wall, getting ready to kidnap another member of the Titans; Traci Thurston, also known as Thirteen, according to the special tracking device that Merlyn holds in his hands.
"You arrived second later than I did." Chuckled Cheshire and then Man-Bat roared at her.
*SHRIEK*
"Quiet you two. You giant beast enter the area first, we'll give you some support by knocking out their stupid parents or sibling." Said Dark Archer.
"Take orders from the Archer? Decent idea for an assassin like us. Minus the crow scarer and the evil bat here." Joked Cheshire as she climbed up the steel wall.
Cheshire and Dark Archer were hiding in the brush and ready for Man-Bat support, as he opened the window that led to Thirteen's bedroom. When Man-Bat got inside and looked around the room, Thirteen was nowhere to be seen. So he searched around and even checked that she was hiding inside the closet. But when he opens the closet.
Like other bats, Man-Bat uses his echolocation to detect his prey. When he was about to detect Rook's location, he stunned Man-Bat with the taser mode of his Proto-Tool.
When Green Arrow, Arrowette, Arsenal, Spartan, and Tigress all got out of their hiding spot. Man-Bat suddenly got back up and used his claws to attack them, but Nightwing surprisingly tangled with his grappling hook to grapple Man-Bat's leg, and hop on his back.
"Go get Merlyn, Scarecrow, and find the others!" Ordered Nightwing, who's still on the top of Man-Bat's back.
Things did not go according to plan, Dark Archer has had enough of this. "Bah! Those Arrow fan clubs! Screw the kidnapping mission, let's just kill them all!" Shouted Shadow Archer and he fired his bow weapon at Team Arrow inside the mansion.
Arsenal, Tigress, and Arrowette all run towards the area where Shadow Archer is hiding. But then Cheshire popped out from behind the trees and threw her sai daggers at them, Tigress blocked both of the daggers with her sword just in time.
"You wouldn't stop trying to kill your own sister! Are you?!" Tigress knows that Cheshire is part of the kidnapping of some of the Titans members.
"Heh, that's a good little mouse. Decided to run away from the bat monster just to be focusing on the family. Good idea to bring the pretty boy as well!" Smiling Cheshire talking about Arsenal while pulling out another sai daggers. Cheshire has always had a habit of calling Artemis "mouse".
Artemis did manage to confess that there was a dark side in her family years ago; where her mother was an ex-criminal but coming out straight. But her father, known as Sportsmaster, is currently an active villain, while her older sister, Cheshire, is an active freelancer, who doesn't side with anyone; just for the profit.
Arrowette fired her ice bows at Cheshire. But she avoided the shot and kept on fighting against her sister!
As the fight continues. Arsenal and Merlyn use their own bow weapons like a sword while in a melee battle. They keep on fighting until the Shadow Archer stunned him by using the electric bow and then knocked Arsenal out with his own bow. Cheshire is still having a two-in-one battle against Tigress and Arrowette. She sneakily took the smoke bomb from her sister's belt and throw it to the ground. Both female Titans members couldn't see the assassin in the smoke and then Cheshire knocked them all down with her split kick.
"This is so much fun, just like the time we're fighting for daddy's approval." Chuckled Cheshire.
Rook, Green Arrow, and Spartan are still looking for the missing heroes, and later on, they decide to check the basement and search around.
"Thirteen, Come on out. We are here to help you." Said Rook and he saw Thirteen walking out of the shadow. But something doesn't feel right about her.
"Doesn't she always bring her lizard pet on her shoulder?" Spartan said to Green Arrow until he notices a green string on the back of Thirteen's neck. "What was that?"
Then another person walking out the shadow was the robot assassin: Cypher, He uses his green string to mind control Thirteen and even uses her to make himself talk. "Heard what you said, soldier… This little girl is my pet."
"Cypher! At least you are not a Scarecrow, but mind-controlling a teenager is a no-go!" Green Arrow is about to fire his arrow at the robot. But stop after Cypher moves Thirteen in front of him to protect himself.
"Ah, Ah, AHH! No harming a little girl. Don't worry, I got something that will give you some action, while I give this lucky girl a big trip to give herself an upgrade." Said Cypher using Thirteen to talk while he deployed his drones army from his shoulder and they began to attack three Team Arrow members.
Then Rook fired his Proto-Tool at Cypher's drones. Green Arrow and Spartan shooting at the drone with their weapons as well. When all three heroes turn Cypher activates his portal and he is about to escape with the captured Thirteen in his arms. Rook, Green Arrow, and Spartan tried to fire at him. But Cypher's drones keep distracting them and the robot has already escaped with the hostages.
"Damn it, he got away!" Shouted Spartan while firing his duel pistol at the drones.
"Focus on the drones, then regroup!" Replied Rook, slicing the drone head off with his Proto-Tool sword mode.
While flying around the air, Nightwing managed to pull out a couple of darts which were an antidote specifically for Man-Bat's mutation. Once Nightwing was free-falling, he threw his dart towards Man-Bat, which made the bat fall while Nightwing gilded with his gliders. Once Man-Bat crashed to the ground, the antidote works which turns him into Dr. Kirk Langstrom. Rook, Green Arrow, and Spartan run out of the mansion.
"We lost Thirteen, Cyp- Hold on a minute!" Spartan saw Shadow Archer and Cheshire are both getting away into the portal! So he fired his pistol in safety mode at them. He caught Cheshire by shooting her leg but didn't stop Dark Archer in time as the portal closed.
Later after the action to protect Thirteen. She just went outside of the mansion and looked at the fainted Kirk Langstrom, who was trying to kidnap her when he was a Man-Bat.
Spartan is checking on the knocked-out Kirk Langstrom. "Thank god he is still alive. He is just waking up now."
And he did. "Ugh… Wha- Where am I? How could I keep wearing nothing but my blue long pants?" Kirk Langstrom got back up feeling tired.
"Look Doctor Langstrom. You're here gonna talk about how you help out the League of Assassins? Kidnapping young superheroes?" Green Arrow questioned Langstrom in his polite tone.
"Kidnapping?" Kirk is now shocked. "Oh my god. What did my mutant side do?! All I remember is that creepy scarecrow-looking person blackmailed me and forced me to bring the bat formula or he'll kill my family. But that ninja-looking robot stabbed the juice onto my arm-"
"You talking about Cypher are you, sir?" Interrupted Spartan. then turned to the approaching Arrowette.
"Guys, we have a problem. Cheshire refused to tell us about the whereabouts of our missing teammates. All she gave us was puns and jokes about our bows." Said Arrowette.
"Yeah, I'm the only one who makes puns around here." Nightwing starts to banter.
"Mmm... I'll check it out for you." Rook walked towards the tied-up Cheshire. "Don't tell me. Are you about to make a pun about my looks? Do you know anything about Scarecrow?"
"Psst. Don't know anything about that walking stick. Plus I didn't know that the whole team got their own cat!" Joked Cheshire.
Rook turned around to Tigress, Arsenal, and Arrowette. "You really do have some serious family issues huh?"
"Well… yeah." Said Tigress.
"Oww don't worry. I have no interest in joining the boy band, but what I do know is that Scarecrow is experimenting with his fear gas." Cheshire explained it casually.
"And you joined him." Arsenal wasn't pleased with Cheshire.
"Hey, I'm a freelancer. I don't literally take sides with anyone, red."
Back to Green Arrow and Spartan still keeping an eye on Kirk Langstrom, when Nightwing walks out of the mansion.
"I found Thirteen's chameleon, Thirteen." Said Nightwing, holding Leroy.
"Oh there, little Yoshi." Smiled Spartan without knowing that Kirk Langstrom's eyes keep twitching.
"Yeah, too bad that this little-" Then he saw Kirk Langstrom glowing bigger and transformed himself into Man-Bat again.
"You said he was cured!" Green Arrow shouted to Nightwing.
"It was!"
Nightwing, Green Arrow, and Spartan tried to fight back, but Man-Bat hit them both with his sonic scream. While he began to fly toward Cheshire, Man-Bat felt that he got an arrow shot from behind by Green Arrow. So turn and kick him in the face before flying away. However, Man-Bat didn't know that he had a tiny tracking arrow on his back.
Arrowette saw that Kirk Langstrom had already become Man-Bat again and looked like he was flying towards Rook. "YOU GUYS, LOOK OUT!" Arrowette shouted.
Man-Bat flew towards Cheshire and caught her with his legs before flying away. All of the Team Arrow members tried to shoot Man-Bat with all the projective attacks they could. But he along with Cheshire just teleported by Cypher's portal.
"Dammit! They got away!" Rook was disappointed.
"That's what I said." Replied Spartan running towards the others along with Green Arrow and Nightwing.
"Have any of you managed to get any intel from Cheshire?" Said Nightwing.
"It doesn't matter." answered Green Arrow. "I've already planted a tracker on Langstrom in case he's getting away again."
Green Arrow uses his touchpad to see where Man-Bat and Cheshire are heading to.
UNKNOWN LOCATION
Dark Archer placed the power disable collar onto Thirteen's neck and then dragged her into the cells. Unfortunately for Cypher, he has run out of batteries for his portal ability. This means no one can teleport into different locations unless it is recharged. So he decided to have a rest.
However, it didn't take long for the heroes to find the villains' location thanks to Green Arrow's tracker. Turns out that the villain's hideout was one of the old S.T.A.R lab facilities.
At the prison cells, Dark Archer just placed Thirteen onto her cell and after she mocked Scarecrow, he gasses her with fear gas.
A few seconds after Scarecrow leaves the room. Dark Archer is guarding the prison cells until he notices that someone's sneaking behind his back. As he was pulling out his bow and arrow, Green Arrow fired his arrow first, where the arrow penetrated through Dark Archer's arrow, then penetrated through Dark Archer's bowstring. And finally, Green Arrow's arrow released a sleeping gas which knocked out Dark Archer.
The heroes now manage to go to the cells where they find Billy, Mary, Pedro, Darla, Beast Boy, Hawk, and Dove were already being infected by a fear gas.
"Remember the drill, use the antidotes to cure them." Nightwing reminds his teammates, as they went to their separate cells to rescue the abducted heroes.
"But brother… I know I couldn't save you in time. It's not my fault." Scared Hawk.
"Terra! I'm sorry…. pleased…" Beast Boy said in tears.
"It's okay, it's not real" Tigress began to comfort Beast Boy, as she went to Beast Boy's cell and injected him with the cure. While Arrowette removed all the power disable collar from four of the Titans member's necks by using the steel arrow. Like the lockpick.
"Jaime… No…" Thirteen in tears as well.
"Everyone yelled at me. I didn't want him to fall down!" Dove looked down.
Then Rook injects the antidote to Hawk, Spartan cures Thirteen, Green Arrow cures Billy, and Nightwing cures Dove. Then they moved on to Mary, Pedro, and Darla.
But Green Arrow notices that Black Canary is nowhere to be found. "Where's Canary?" The emerald archer begins to question the abducted heroes, and a couple of drones notice the heroes and begin to attack. While Green Arrow, Rook, Spartan, Arrowette, and Tigress fend off the drones, Nightwing begins to conceal Beast Boy, Thirteen, Billy, Mary, Pedro, Darla, Hawk, and Dove.
"Look, whatever you're seeing is not real. But those robots over there? They're real, and your friends need your help. You can let Scarecrow win, or help your friends to prevent anyone else from happening." Nightwing came up with his pep talk. "Me? I've made my choice." Nightwing finally joins the fight to fend off the drones.
Hawk steps in and talks to the remaining heroes. "Come one guy, we're badass! We can't let some baghead screw around with our minds!"
Dove interrupted. "Hawk! No strong languages! They're kids in the room!"
"Whatever. The point is, when someone strikes first, we counter-strike. And that's what I'm gonna do! But what about you guys?" So Hawk decided to join Nightwing, Rook, Green Arrow, Tigress, Arrowette, and Spartan.
"Come one guy." Billy started to pump up Mary, Pedro, and Darla. "You heard Nightwing and Hawk, they need us!"
Mary, Pedro, and Darla finally pull themselves together. Billy, Mary, Pedro, and Darla shouted together, "SHAZAM!"
*KABOOM*
A thunderbolt struck the young heroes, as they transformed into their "Shazam" forms. The Shazam-family finally joins the fight.
Shazam Strength uses both of his arms to uppercut two of the drones' heads off before tagging along with Shazam Speed and Lady Shazam. Hawk and Dove did the tag super strength combo on one of them and then two more firing lasers on each of them. They dash towards them at the speed of the birds and Hawk and Dove grab them both at the same time and then toss two drones onto each other at the same time. Beast Boy, as the ape, runs towards his target while avoiding the drone laser. Then when he grabbed the drone, he turned into a tiger and ripped its head off. Then Beast Boy saw lots of them approaching and loading their grenades. But Thirteen uses her unlucky magic to make a giant pipe fall out of the ceiling above her and destroy the entire group in one blow.
*KLANG*
After Shazam destroys the few Cypher's drones, all of the heroes keep on finding their way out of the room, without knowing that Dark Archer is waking up. As the heroes carry on running through the hallway, there is a problem.
"Ah, Crap. Which way do we go again? I haven't been to this place before. But it looks better than my house attic." Said Shazam looking at the two-way paths and hearing that there were too many enemies approaching.
"Screw it! This way!" Shouted Thirteen running to the right side of the door and everyone followed him. Lady Shazam even blocks the door by pushing a big crate right in front of it.
"Uhh… You sure, this is the right way?" Dove looked around the lab room. "It's looked like-
Hawk heard a sound. "Wait, Dawn! Did anyone hear that?" Everyone looked around until they saw Black Canary laying down on the ground while she was tied and gagged.
Outside the room. Cypher is just finishing recharging his portal batteries. But when he looked through the doorway and saw an escapee looking at the room. So he pressed the button near which opened up the cage and walking out of it was the female mutant orca whale named: Orca.
"Okay… that is adorable" Hawk teased Orca, and then he saw the ceiling auto-turrets lower down and begin to fire, while Orca attacked the heroes.
Green Arrow approaches Black Canary and finally finishes untying and ungagging her. "Pretty Bird, you okay." whispered the emerald archer, who's a bit concerned for his girlfriend, Black Canary.
Black Canary begins to attack Green Archer and kicks him away.
Green Arrow grunted, "Honey, what's wrong with you?!"
When Tigress, Arrowette, Rook, and Spartan are about to aid Green Arrow, Black Canary uses her Canary cry to knock them away.
*SHRIEK*
Nightwing then jumps towards Black Canary, but she flips him over with her judo technique. As she was about to scream again, there was a gas pellet on her collar. It detonates and knocks her out.
"Why would she attack us?" Green Arrow is getting concerned for his girlfriend.
"Let's find out." Nightwing begins to search around her with a scanner from his gauntlet. When two of the ceiling turrets turned and aimed at Nightwing. Rook got back up and fired his Proto-Tool at the turret, while Arrowette fired her explosive arrow at another nearby.
"Not the right time to investigate here in this zone!" Shouted Rook and then backed away from Orca's jaw attack.
Nightwing manages to find a chip behind her neck, revealed to have a symbol that has three circles and a "V" pattern
A few minutes later, Cypher enters the hologram room and interrupts Black Archer talking to Deathstroke on the hologram. The robot uses his puppet string onto Cheshire's head and tells them about the escaping heroes.
"Such a disappointment, changing their minds, and let's just get them to be killed while trying to fight those creatures. Listen you lots, we wanted him because his weapon creates any so-called hero's weaknesses. So we need Scarecrow alive after you executed those super kids. Understood." Deathstroke said.
"Understood. We'll tell Scarecrow that they will be executed instead. Said Dark Archer.
After the hologram is disabled, Cypher removes his string from Cheshire's neck.
"Never do that again!" Annoyed Cheshire, while grabbing Cypher's neck.
On the other side; Shazam Strength uses the chair to protect himself from the auto turret shot and then throws it to destroy the shooting device. Thirteen uses her unlucky power to make all of the ceiling turrets in the area fall down to the ground. After all of the turrets were destroyed. Hawk & Dove both headbutt Orca but didn't knock her down.
While Orca was distracted by Shazam Strength, Beast Boy's elephant form managed to tackle Orca and slammed her to the wall. When she was knocked to the ground, a little item fell out of her blowhole. Nobody notices that.
"Great, the other guys are getting away. Now, what?" complained Hawk.
"Chill. Man-Bat still has my tracker on it." Green Arrow explained as he opened his touchpad again. So all of the heroes grabbed the knocked-out Black Canary and Orca and kept on going.
However, after they were out of sight, we take a looked at the item that was fallen out of Ocra's blowhole. It was one of the "V" pattern chips.
OLD S.T.A.R. LABS
Later. All of the heroes keep on finding Scarecrow somewhere in the Old S.T.A.R lab building. Green Arrow carries the fainted Black Canary, while Hawk and Dove all do the same to knock out Orca with their own strength.
Dove stopped for a minute. "Gah… I know that I still have my own super strength. But carrying this killer whale looked like she was slowing us down." She sighed.
"Don't worry, I got it for you!" Said Shazam Speed as she picked up the fainted Orca speed out of the building at the fastest speed and then flew back to the same spot in a second.
"Okay, I'm back!"
"That was quick… Where did you put Orca? In jail?" Questioned Tigress.
OUTSIDE
When Orca wakes up after being knocked out, she realizes that she is trapped inside the water tower that was located near the old S.T.A.R lab building.
BACK TO THE OLD S.T.A.R BASE
"Wait. You didn't just call the police?" Said Spartan.
"They took all our phones away after we got captured." Answered Shazam Speed.
"That's alright, we will buy you new ones. After we capture Scarecrow." Said Nightwing and they all carry on searching. However, they didn't know that someone was watching them from the corner behind them.
As the search continues. Everyone ended up in the big room. "Funny… We reached Man-Bat's location, but there's nobody here in this area." Said Green Arrow looking at his datapad while putting fainted Black Canary down.
"Uhh… Have any one of us managed to see him in the air." Said Beast Boy looking up with a shocked face.
Everyone looked up and saw that Man-Bat was flying down toward the heroes. They all managed to avoid it just in time. The mutant bat then shouted out his sonic scream at a few of them, but they dodged it.
"Yep. That's him alright!" Shouted Arsenal while firing arrows at Man-Bat. But he jumped over before it could hit him in the chest.
"This giant freaking bat monster won't give up trying to eat us alive!" Tigress shouted and she fired multiple arrows at Man-Bat, but he grabbed one of the arrow shots while dodging and crushed it with his big hand then used his sonic scream and Team Arrow, but they managed to dodge it.
"C'mon, you guys. They need our help!" Shouted Shazam and everyone agreed to join the fight against Man-Bat. While Thirteen saw Black Adam approaching behind them.
"LOOK OUT!" yelled Thirteen.
Arsenal and Arrowette keep firing their ice arrows at both Man-Bat and Black Adam, but Man-Bat manages to dodge it while it froze Black Adam for a while. But when they saw the arrow right near Arsenal's legs. They both managed to avoid it before the arrow exploded.
"Oh look who showed up! Said Arsenal looking up and it was Dark Archer firing his arrows at Team Arrow. Green Arrow saw him and tried to shoot arrows at Merlyn. But he ducks and covers from the shot.
*KRACK*
Black Adam manages to break the ice with his brute strength, but Shazam flies up and knocks him down to the ground with his fist.
"I didn't realize you were here." Shazam felt unexpected to see his rival, Black Adam come and aid Scarecrow and his team.
"I'm just for the job." Black Adam smirk. "And to get my revenge as a bonus."
"Well, it kinda sucks that the last we've met, I've kicked your ass. So what makes you think that this is going to be any different?"
"Him."
Suddenly out of nowhere, Shazam Jr shows up and is already being brainwashed by Cypher's puppet string. He kicked Shazam in the face.
"Freddy? What the hell?!" Shouted Lady Shazam then she flies up towards him. But she is being grabbed by the brainwashed Shazam Lightning, lucky Lady Shazam breaks free and pushes him to the ground. As the battle continues, Cypher shows up at the platform above.
"I always have a backup to kick these intruders off this base." Said Cypher using both Shazam Jr and Shazam Lightning to speak, then they move them down and make them fight against the heroes.
Now Nightwing is about to call the orders. "Alright listen up. "The Shazam-team will fend off Black Adam, Freddy, Eugene, and Cypher. Beast Boy, Dove, Thirteen, go get Man-Bat. Arrowette, Arsenal, Spartan, Cheshire's yours. Green Arrow, Hawk, Canary, and Tigress will fend off Dark Archer. Rook and I will find Scarecrow."
"Copy that, Nightwing." Understood Spartan and he set off along with Arsenal, holding their weapons.
Arrowette worried that if Rook chose to go after Scarecrow, he might make his terrible mistake again like what he did to Weasel. "Let me help out with capturing Scarecrow." She said,
"Arrowette, wait!" Said Nightwing. "It's too-"
"It's alright, Nightwing. We're gonna need three guys to take care of that hay-headed creeper. Now let's do this" Shouted Rook and he dashes off with Nightwing and Arrowette to find Scarecrow while they avoid the attack from the brainwashed Shazam Jr and Lightning.
Dark Archer saw that Rook, Nightwing, and Arrowette were moving towards the pathway that led to Scarecrow. So he fired the explosion arrow at them. But before it could hit them, the arrow was grabbed by Hawk's hand, tossed it away, and exploded.
"Eye in the indoor sight, White Tiger!" Hawk with his smirk face, teasing Rook's appearance.
"Thanks." Replied Rook after he stopped for a quick word. "And my name is Rook!"
Hawk saw that Cypher moved the brainwashed Shazam Lightning towards Shazam Speed. But he had to focus on Dark Archer
"On me and don't focus and hit our superfriends too hard." Beast Boy yelled and he, Beast Boy, Dove & Thirteen ran towards Man-Bat.
Cut to Arsenal and Spartan still searching for Cheshire somewhere around the battlezone. When Cheshire did show up in front of them, she threw some ninja stars at them. But Arsenal and Spartan shot all the stars down with their projective attacks.
"Ohh… Seems that I picked up a few ninja stars by mistake." Smiled Cheshire.
"It's you again. Hope you brought a chair cause I still have my arrow rope" Glared Arsenal aiming his bows at Cheshire.
"You know here is something for the big knight over here, your archer buddies were outmatched by those brainwashed super grown ups. You go out there and help out, while I have a one-on-one battle with… Not Green Arrow's best buddy." Said Cheshire.
"Arsenal. You can't handle this deadly little girl by yourself." Said Spartan.
"Don't worry, I can handle it, just go and target Cypher." Ordered Arsenal and Spartan dashed off in confusion.
"You're such a smart handsome man. What I should have told you earlier, is that the military one-eyed Garfield, AKA Deathstroke, plans in order to eliminate the whole Titans. He used Scarecrow's fear toxin to make them give up being superheroes, which sounds great. But I really dislike the idea of him hiring the enforcer member." Answered Cheshire.
"You mean all this is Deathstroke's idea?" Arsenal now knows that it wasn't Scarecrow's plan all along. "Of course. He always wanted to put every Titans on his kill list. Listen Cheshire, you help us by giving us intel about the plan. You could have been part of Team Arrow. Or even-"
"Or even let me help those guys that are coming behind you." Said Cheshire, talking about the approaching Cypher's drones, Arsenal turned around and fired his cluster arrows at them. While he kept firing. Cheshire grabbed him from behind and gave him a sai dragger near his throat.
"Know that this isn't our date yet. Would you like me to give you a nice mouth to your neck?" Said Cheshire and then Arsenal pushed her away from him.
As the fight continues, Cypher uses Shazam Jr and Lightning to clash against Shazam Strength and Speed, he notices Rook, Arrowette and Arsenal have just left the area. So he spawns his drone army from his shoulders and orders them to chase after them. But once they left the area, Cypher's left arm got shot by Spartan's pistol aim. Which broke Shazam Lightning out of mind control.
"Wha- Where am I? Did I manage to complete the Mario game?" Shazam Lightning is confused after he snaps out of mind control.
"You were captured and sent here at the base… and also Cypher the robot broke your Nintendo switch!" Shouted Lady Shazam.
"Okay, now I'm pissed!" So Shazam Lightning flew towards Cypher and punched the robot ninja so hard that part of his head fell off revealing his human brain on the glass.
"Ooohhh, now I'm scared." Said Cypher sarcastically, using Shazam Jr to speak. Then he used him to fly toward Shazam Lightning and about to punch him. But he avoided the attacks and made him crash into Cypher. Knocking him out and breaking Shazam Jr out of his robot's mind control.
"So that's what it felt like to be mind-controlled by a robot." Shazam Jr feels dizzy after being mind-controlled, but still carries on fighting and he begins to tag along with Nightwing and Tigress and fights against Man-Bat. While Shazam Lightning flies back to the others. Cypher is trying to get back up, but he is a little injured.
Cut to Rook, Nightwing, and Arrowette entering the boiler room. They began to search around when they saw the Scarecrow figure moving slowly towards them.
"Here he comes!" Nightwing ready his night sticks
"Stand back, I got it!" Said Arrowette and she fired her net arrow at the trapped Scarecrow. When Rook, Arrowette, and Nightwing ran towards their fainted foe, It turns out that it was just a normal scarecrow on the wagon.
"Huh… He is just a fake!" Rook looked at the fake Scarecrow. "Which means."
Scarecrow surprised them when he came out of hiding behind the boiler. He is about to strike them with his fear toxin claw. But Arrowette blocked his attack with her bows and started fighting against him. Rook and Nightwing tried to help their ally But some of Cypher's drones showed up and slowed them down by attacking. Scarecrow gives Arrowette a dirty move by kicking her knee and stabbing her in the arm with his injector claw.
Arrowette lies down on the ground in fear and sees lots of dangerous bugs all around her body.
"Arrowette!" Rook shouted and he went after Scarecrow all by himself.
Nightwing pulled out an antidote from his utility belt to cure Arrowette and inject her. Then he noticed that Rook went off to find Scarecrow himself. "Rook, wait!"
The fight began between Rook and Scarecrow with the tonfa mode of his Proto-Tool. As the fight continues, Scarecrow stabs Rook's neck with his fear toxin claw, but before he falls down. Rook knocks one of the injectors out of his claw after it is quickly refilled.
"Haha. This is the best way to counter me after you got stabbed by my own hand?" Laughed Scarecrow while he stared at Rook about to see his fear.
ROOK'S FEAR HALLUCINATION
Rook Blonko wakes up and looks around and sees that he is back on his home planet, but everything is in ruins and lots of skeletons and corpses of his people are everywhere on the ground.
"No! NO! Not this!" Feared Rook.
"What's wrong? Are you worried that you're back home?" Smiled Scarecrow and made Rook punch him in the face. But when he did, Scarecrow turned into the Revonnahgander's skeleton and it grabbed Rook and even lots of dead bodies did the same.
"I see. You don't like to see all of your people, friends, and family die! Well, don't worry you will meet them again." Underneath the pit, Scarecrow watches Rook being buried by the dead bodies.
"Please- No more!" Rook shouted trying to escape, but he couldn't. He is now fully buried until he somehow falls down in the air and lands on the ground. Rook got back up and he saw the crashed escape pod next to him.
"Wha- I know this whole place?" Rook then saw his younger self marching through the canyon with his old mates. "I remember. Before I joined the Galactic Guardians, I crashed on the canyon planet that I can't remember what it was called. Until I was found and then trained my life at the academy."
Then Rook Blonko was teleported into an indoor building and saw his younger self again chasing down the alien viper. "Wait. Isn't that during my first mission before- Oh No!"
The young Rook fired his pistol in safety mode at the space viper. But he missed and accidentally hit the gas tank and exploded. Costing the viper his whole legs. Later when the sergeant found out what happened. The government and authorities took the badge away from Rook's chest and had him arrested. But Rook did not feel upset. He just feels bad that it is the wrong way to do it.
Suddenly, Scarecrow shows up again. But this time he becomes a giant during Rook's fear vision. His giant hand pops out of the ground and lowers down, after he manages to dodge everything is ripped apart and turned into dark clouds. Rook looks up while on the floating platform and then back away from the giant Scarecrow.
"What's the matter? Won't you be able to carry on and show me more of your story?" Said Scarecrow and then the squid tentacle popped out of his mouth. Rook tried to use his Proto-Tool, but his weapon turned to dust. Since Scarecrow is now too big to fight against him, he decided to run away from him.
ABANDONED S.T.A.R LAB FACILITY
Cut back to the area where Team Arrow along with Beast Boy, Hawk, Dove, Thirteen, and the Shazam family are still battling Man-Bat, Black Adam, Dark Archer, and Cypher. As the fight continued, Green Arrow and Tigress fired their stun arrows at Man-Bat.
Green Arrow and Tigress avoided the sonic attacks and hid behind the bridge wreckage.
"Okay. Maybe that creepy farmer must've delayed the regrouping with our party! Said Green Arrow while he duck from Shadow Archer's arrow shot.
"Is there a way to defeat them quickly or something?" Shouted Tigress while she aimed her crossbow while searching for Merlyn the Shadow Archer and Cypher.
"Don't we all think that any of us should use the better bat cure thingy!" Said Sparta backed away from Man-Bat while shooting his pistol at her.
"Nightwing, give us this thing. But it's the only one!" Replied Thirteen, to ensure this cure makes it count.
Beast Boy wolf mode jumped over Man-Bat who was trying to grab him and landed near a few of his teammates and then bit the mutant's leg. But after that, he got hit by Man-Bat's sonic scream. However… when Beast Boy quickly looked back at Man-Bat… He gave him a smirk.
*RAHH* Growl Man-Bat and then Hawk & Dove punched him in the wings and then Beast Boy's elephant form bashed into him. Man-Bat wasn't knocked out and he tried to get back up. But Thirteen finally gets near Man-Bat, she even uses her unlucky power to slow the mutant down and then curses him with the antidote.
Man-Bat transforms back into a human again, as Dr. Kirk Langstorm. This time, Thirteen notices Brainiac's chip behind Langstorm's neck. "Well, well, well, what do we have here."
The wounded Cypher is still attacking Shazam Lightning and Jr with his legs, but he is too tired to keep on going, so he passes out. Dark Archer keeps firing his arrows at Green Arrow until he feels some poke behind his back.
"Huh?" Dark Archer looks confused but realizes it was Black Canary who was behind him and punches him to knock him out.
Green Arrow and Black Canary look towards Dark Archer lying on the ground.
"Works every time." Green Arrow was satisfied that he was distracting Dark Archer while Black Canary approached him from behind and knocked him out.
Black Adam is still battling Shazam and Lady Shazam, until he realizes that he is now the only villain that is still up in the whole area and all of the heroes surround him.
"So. Mr Adam. Can your two hands manage to catch multiple arrows?!" Smiled Shazam.
"I knew that this whole 'kidnapping kids' would be foiled by you lots." Black Adam retreats and flies through the ceiling.
"Should we go after him?" Asked Shazam Jr.
"No… Let that one strong enemy go. We'll focus on arresting the defeated ones." Said Lady Shazam.
ROOK'S FEAR HALLUCINATION
In Rook's fear vision, everything is dark and cloudy. The giant Scarecrow is still searching around the floating ruins platform for Rook. He even uses the spotlight from his eyes to find him.
"Where are you?" Smiled Giant Scarecrow and he ripped off one of the rooftops of the old building with his injector claw.
Rook is hiding nearby from the Giant Scarecrow and looks like he got nothing to defeat one of Batman's deadliest villains. Just then he heard a voice.
"Rook! Do you know who I am?" Said the light revealed his figure.
"Tetrax?" Rook is surprised to see his former mentor, despite that he is a hallucination.
"Look, I know it sucks trying to keep your memory away from your head, but do you remember what I said after I gave you a Proto-Tool for your birthday. This weapon doesn't just protect your friends and your brother in arms. It defended your whole life and your family memories. Your real family and the whole people of Revonnah would be proud of you if they were still out there. Now you have your chance to prove yourself that you are not a failure." Said Tetrax.
"Yeah, I understand." Smiled Rook until Giant Scarecrow suddenly spotted him and fire came out of Scarecrow's eyes and mouth.
"Listen carefully. Run up to the tower here and aim the spotlight at his face! Hurry Rook!" Warned Tetrax and disappeared which allowed Rook to run off towards the tower. He even managed to duck while dashing from Giant Scarecrow's claw before he could hit the ground.
Rook entered the tower and started climbing up the old stairs. But he had to avoid Scarecrow's attacks when his giant hand popped through the front gate and started to rip the entire tower to bits. When Rook managed to reach the top and run towards the spotlight. But Giant Scarecrow raised up and was about to grab Rook.
"No escape for you!" Said Giant Scarecrow and his injector claw are getting closer to Rook.
"More like not seeing me in this place!" Replied Rook and his Proto-Tool appeared in his hand and in his archer mode, he fired at Giant Scarecrow's face, which gave the chance for Rook to turn the spotlight around and aim at Scarecrow. Which made everything bright and ended the fear of toxin hallucination.
OLD S.T.A.R LAB BASE
Back at reality. Rook snapped out of himself and punched Scarecrow to the ground.
"How? Only Batman could snap out my fear gas?!" Shocked Scarecrow.
"I just learned all about that gas of yours from Batman." Rook grabbed the same injector that was ripped out from Scarecrow's glove and used it to stab it onto the villain's neck.
"No, NO!" Feared Scarecrow and then hundreds of bats appeared all around him. It scared him. The hallucination bats feared him so much that he passed out.
The tired Rook lay down on his knees while Nightwing and Arrowette showed up.
"Rook! You… defeated Scarecrow all by yourself?" Surprised Nightwing.
"I'm so sorry. It was my action that caused you to be gassed again." Arrowette felt bad.
"It wasn't your fault, Arrowette." Said Rook while Nightwing is about to inject him with the antidote. but Rook surprisingly didn't want to. "But your actions give me the courage to break out of the fear gas and defeat Scarecrow."
Rook places his hand on Arrowette's shoulder and then suddenly they hear the explosion from a distance. Even Nightwing heard it too.
*BOOM*
Rook turned back to the fainted Scarecrow and saw that he was holding a detonator in his hand. He managed to press it quickly before passing out again from fear of bats.
"We got to go, now!" Rook said to both Nightwing & Arrowette and they dash off to regroup.
Cut to Arsenal and Cheshire still fighting each other, until they all notice the whole building is coming down after seeing the falling rubbles around them.
"Uhh… I better get going now! Another time for a date?!" Said Cheshire hurrying.
"Sure. But I-" Arsenal was about to finish, but Cheshire dashed off to find her way out.
Scarecrow, Dark Archer, Kirk Langstorm, and the wounded Cypher, are all being handcuffed, but Black Adam and Cheshire already got away. The heroes always save lives even if they were criminals, so they quickly brought them as well to escape. Just in time as the whole building fell into pieces.
"That was close!" Said Rook still holding the handcuffed Scarecrow.
"Welp, look on the bright side. We demolished the whole building that needed to be knocked down." Said Spartan.
"Yeah…" Agreed Green Arrow.
30 MINUTES LATER
After the police arrived near the destruction area. Scarecrow, Dark Archer, Kirk Langstorm, and Cypher were arrested and held in two separate prison locations. Scarecrow went back to Arkham Asylum, Kirk Langstorm was sent to Black Gate prison, while Orca spent her life in the Mutant Chamber island.
THE NEXT MORNING, QUEEN MANSION, STAR CITY
Using the dining room of Queen Mansion as a meeting. Black Canary is having an important word to Rook about being gassed by Scarecrow again. Green Arrow, Spartan, Nightwing, Shazam, Batman, and Obsidian are sitting down in the same room as well.
"Sorry that I didn't help out on a mission to save some of the Titans. I felt that I'm acting like a crappy damsel in distress. How are you feeling now?" Said Black Canary.
"Well after I broke out of Scarecrow's gas… I feel completely fine." Answered Rook.
"Huh. Sound like Batman is now wasn't the only one who managed to snap out of the fear gas without using the cure." Said Obsidian, drinking a cup of coffee.
"How did you manage to do that?" Batman was impressed and tried not to act surprised.
"Oh, I remember what my old mentor taught an important lesson during the past." Said Rook.
"So it seems that remembering the terrible past has been completely cured." Said Black Canary.
"Rook. As the leader of the Titans, I would like to say thank you for saving the entire Titans. We would be honored if you don't mind being the sixth founding member of the Titans." Said Nightwing.
"Or… you could join my Team Arrow due to your Proto-thingy skills. What do you say." Said Green Arrow.
"Well, I could. But I would rather stay with the Galactic Guardians, which is like a family. Thanks for believing in myself." Said Rook and he was about to walk out of the room. "Although… I could be a part-time member of the Arrow club." He gave Green Arrow a thumbs up and he made him smile.
After Rook has left. Shazam asked the whole group about Brainiac's chip that Nightwing found. "Okay people. Can we all talk about our evil android we all know?"
"I agree. Does Brainiac really come back after being offline?" Spartan sounded serious.
"We don't know. But I'm gonna say, the worst for all of us is only the beginning." Said Batman.
While Rook is looking at his phone while going to the living room. Arrowette is walking up to him.
"Are three of your Guardians mates still busy with their mission to help out Aquaman?" Said Arrowette.
"Yes. But they have just completed their mission and they are coming back home tomorrow. So I still have no one to hang out with for the rest of the day." Answered Rook.
"Yeah, me too." Agreed Arrowette and they had a pause for a minute. "Wanna play the Nintendo switch?"
"Is it something about that racing game?" Smiled Rook.
"Oh… or tried to battle with each other!" Smirk Arrowette and they ran to the living room.
OLD S.T.A.R LAB DESTRUCTION
Even though the investigation hasn't come yet. Some men in black agents were searching around the rubbles, one of them found Brainiac's technologies and picked it up from the fallen pieces.
"What thing called the item did you find in the whole thing called the whole building?" Said one of the agents.
"The one called the mastermind Brainiac. who is the one we all had a history with the mastermind." Replied another.
"Enough learning to speak like all of them and have you found anything important?" Said the approaching general named Tetsu-Oni. He is bald-headed, wearing armor, and goggles, and even had his metal mouth cover which allows him to speak in a cybernetic voice. After the agent handed the Brainiac to the general.
"So… He was still alive on this planet all along. We better head back to our hideout and report this to Prime… The key to raising all of us has finally come back." Said Tetsu-Oni sounds like he is happy after looking at Brainiac's chips.
ONE MONTH AND FOUR WEEKS LATER… (RIGHT BEFORE CHAPTER 11)
UNDERTOWN, UNDERNEATH NEW YORK
The Mutanimals have brought the empty warehouse and turned it into their new base since the old one was destroyed and they become enemies with the humans, especially after attacking Task Force X back when they were traveling to Canada.
While Mondo Gecko and Sally Pride were putting their stuff inside the building, Old Hob and Herman the Hermit Crab went to check with Man Ray, who was looking to investigate the person on the big sleeping tube.
"You guys, I get why you broke me out of prison for this. But I have never seen this kind of mutant or animal before." Man Ray takes off his glasses. "Where did you find it while I'm away?"
"Back during the Triceratons invasion. I thought those space maggots drop a bomb from the airship towards our position. But it's just a random innocent mutant girl on the tube. Plus it almost crushed my head to death." Said Herman.
"Yeah, lucky you soldier. Now then, we can not be allowed to show this in public above us, not even after our trip to Canada." Said Old Hob.
"Hob. You might reject the idea. I know that we are trying to repopulate all mutants, but I think that we need more help from someone who is trustworthy from above. it may be a human, but she is very loyal and knows all types of animals like us, even mutants." Said Man Ray.
"Mmm… Nice to hear the smart move, Ray." Old Hob agreed, then he turned to Herman. "Herman, go find something useful and contact our old human ally."
"Yes leader, sir!" And Herman walks away while Old Hob and Man Ray turn back to the tube and we see that inside was the purple mutant glob called the Lenopan.

NOTE 4: Cypher's character is inspired by his counterpart from the show: Beware the Batman! The only difference is that he got a few new abilities.
NOTE 5: The fear toxin injector claw that Scarecrow uses as the weapon, is a reference to what he did in the Batman Arkhamverse video games.
NOTE 6: This following story takes place a month before the event of Chapter 10 and the Suicide Squad spin-off (Except for the epilogue).
