Hey guys
I hope you guys liked the last chapter.
How will Lucille react to the new development?
Chad walked with Troy and Gabriella to the Bolton house.
Troy had insisted that he come and talk to his mother today itself.
Troy's reasoning was that there was no point in trying to prolong the inevitable and that even if his mother didn't say it out loud she really did miss her second son.
Chad couldn't argue so he decided to go with the young couple.
He figured that it would be better if Troy was close by in case things went south.
They reached the Bolton house and never in his life had Chad felt this nervous.
He feared Lucille's reaction to his presence because she was very protective of her son.
Chad had unfortunately ended up on her bad side by hurting Troy and he was terrified seeing the protective Mama Bolton.
Troy opened the door and led his girlfriend and best friend to the kitchen.
Lucille was making lunch when she heard the front door opening and knew that her son was finally home.
She made two plates of lunch knowing that Gabriella would most definitely be with her son.
The lovebirds would spend as much time together as they could.
She heard them enter the kitchen and turned around to greet them.
She smiles until she sees Chad enter and her expression immediately changes to an angry one.
Lucille says, "I thought I told you never to enter my house. Haven't you done enough?"
Chad looks down ashamed while Troy replies, "Mama, it's okay. Chad and I had a talk today. He apologised for everything to both me and Brie. I invited him here."
Lucille says, "Are you sure he means it? I don't want you both getting hurt again."
Gabriella smiles and replies, "Mama B, I promise that he really means it."
Troy pouts and adds, "Mama, please forgive him now"
Lucille sighs and says, "If you both are saying this then I believe you. But let me make one thing very clear, Chad. If you ever hurt either one of my kids, you will deal with me. Understood?"
Chad gulps and replies, "Yes ma'am"
Lucille then smiles and continues, "Now sit down. I'll make you a plate as well."
Chad smiles and sits down with everyone.
They all catch up with everything going on in their lives and when Jack arrives he also joins them.
The kids go into another room to talk in private while Lucille fills Jack in on what had happened in the afternoon.
Jack felt proud that Chad had finally realised what he had done wrong and was making amends.
Troy tells Chad about how he finally got together with Gabriella.
Gabriella then forces Troy to tell Chad everything about his hospital visit.
Chad feels terrible after learning how badly he had actually hurt the boy he proudly called his best friend.
He couldn't understand how Troy could even forgive him after everything he had done.
Kelsi shows up in the evening and Lucille informs her about the afternoon events before she joins her cousin in his room.
Chad looks at Kelsi confused before Gabriella explains to him that Kelsi was actually Troy's cousin.
Troy then explains why he never revealed this fact which Chad understands.
Kelsi then proceeds to warn Chad just like Lucille had in the afternoon.
Chad nods and promises not to make the same mistake again.
The kids all stay for dinner before going to their respective homes.
The next day Troy and Chad were spending time together after Gabriella practically forced them to.
Since Gabriella wasn't present, Troy decided to plan something special for his girlfriend.
Chad offered to help and they both started brainstorming.
They came up with some ideas but Troy rejected them all saying they weren't good enough.
Chad says, "Dude you know you never told me how you and Gabriella actually met."
Troy replies, "That was because I didn't want to tell you guys about me singing."
Chad says, "Okay now I wanna know what exactly happened."
Troy replies, "Well we were both at a karaoke party for New Year at the ski lodge. They were actually pulling out people at random to sing so that's how Brie and I ended up on stage together. She seemed to be really uncomfortable and then the music started. I sang the first paragraph of the song but she didn't look like she was going to sing so I was about to walk off the stage when I suddenly heard an angelic voice. I stopped and turned around to see that she was singing and got back in front of my microphone. We started singing together and eventually, both of us got comfortable enough to sing louder. We kinda started dancing as well and it was really fun. When the song ended we both introduced ourselves and then talked for some time. We watched the fireworks together and exchanged our phone numbers before she left. Then we met here on the first day of school and rest you know."
Chad says, "Unbelievable. That literally sounds like one of those romantic movies my mom watches. You sound like you've been whipped from the moment you met her."
Troy dreamily replies, "I don't care what you say because I love her."
Chad asks, "Have you told her that?"
Troy nods and replies, "Yeah, I told her that when we were in the hospital"
Chad says, "I think you should tell her again but this time in a better situation."
Troy perks up and replies, "Chad you're a genius. Why didn't I think of that?"
Chad says, "Thanks but why am I a genius?"
Troy replies, "I will confess to Brie in school where I will sing her a song. It'll be perfect. Now which song?"
Chad says, "Why don't you ask Kelsi for help with that?"
Troy shakes his head and replies, "No way. I want to choose the song."
Chad says, "Alright then. Which song?"
Troy thinks for a moment before he replies, "Well I could sing 'Start of Something New' because that's the one we sang on New Year's Eve. Another one is 'What I've Been Looking For' which we sang with Kelsi just like that but Miss Darbus gave us a callback. I think these both would be good but we have to choose one."
Chad asks, "Alright so which one do you like better?"
Troy replies, "Well I think the first one is better because it was like a private moment. Like Kelsi knows how we met and all, but she never heard us sing that song. I think I'll go with 'Start of Something New' because that will be really special. Brie knows the song as well so she can also sing with me and it'll be like recreating the moment."
Chad says, "Sounds like a plan. Now when will you sing?"
Troy replies, "During lunchtime in the cafeteria. We both have some not so good memories in the cafeteria so this will be a good one to try and replace them."
Chad asks, "Alright but will you sing in front of everyone?"
Troy replies, "I'll need the karaoke version of the song with a few speakers and microphones to perform. Kelsi will help me with that."
Chad says, "Looks like you're about to perform in front of the whole school. I can't believe my best friend is already whipped."
Troy replies, "I don't care about all that. I'm just doing something special for Brie like every boyfriend does for his girlfriend."
Chad says, "No offense but no boyfriend serenades his girlfriend in the cafeteria."
Troy shoots Chad an annoyed look and replies, "Well I'll be the first one then."
The boys then play a short game of one on one before Chad goes home.
Troy has a quick chat with Kelsi about arranging the speakers and microphones for him to perform.
After Kelsi hears his plan she immediately agrees to help him.
Can't wait to see Gabriella's reaction to the surprise.
I wonder where I can find myself a Troy Bolton
