Mercenary: Sir, you'd better take a look at this.

Jeralt: What is it?

Narrator: Before they met Sothis...

Mercenary: I'd rather say who, but even I don't know.

Narrator: Before they came into contact with the people who would change their lives...

Jeralt: Let's take them inside.

Narrator: A former captain came into contact with the greatest heroes of all time, and set them up for the greatest thing destiny never intended on. All this, before a great war...

(The people Jeralt found wake up)

Zayto: Ugh, who are you?

Jeralt: The very thing I want to find out too.

Ivan: Do you lead these fine mercenaries?

Jeralt: I do.

Leo: Listen up sir, because nobody else knows this much about us. We're the Power Rangers. And in our worlds, we defend the Earth from evil. Our history starts the same way the history of any hero would... When Rita Repulsa and her minions were freed from their imprisonment on the moon, Zordon took action to prevent her from taking over the Earth unchallenged. Instructing Alpha 5 to recruit "five teenagers with attitude," he chose Jason, Billy, Trini, Kimberly, and Zack to receive the five Power Coins in his possession and become Power Rangers. These five rangers thwarted many of Rita's plots, but nearly met defeat when Rita used a sixth Power Coin to transform Tommy into her own evil Green Ranger. Tommy succeeded in cutting off communications with Zordon and trapping the Rangers' Zords before unleashing his own Dragonzord. However, Alpha was able to restore the Command Center's link with Zordon, who helped bring the Zords back, allowing the Rangers to defeat Dragonzord. Once Jason destroyed Tommy's Sword of Darkness, Tommy was freed from Rita's control, and immediately became a new member of the team. Rita soon set out to take revenge on her former minion, using the Green Candle in an attempt to drain away Tommy's powers. The Rangers managed to stop her by having Tommy give his Power Coin to Jason, preventing Rita from draining way his powers. However, Tommy later reassumed the green powers after Rita managed to steal the other five Power Coins. As a result, his powers remained weak for some time, which would make him a target when Lord Zedd usurped control of Rita's forces. Eventually Tommy lost the Green Ranger powers, while the other Rangers upgraded their Dino Zords into the Thunder Zords. The continual threat of Lord Zedd, however, prompted Zordon and Alpha to create a new set of White Ranger powers, which were conferred upon Tommy due to his faithfulness in serving as the Green Ranger. He also became leader of the team, replacing Jason, who along with Zack and Trini later passed their powers on to new Rangers. This process would be accomplished using the Sword of Light, thus conferring Red, Black, and Yellow Ranger powers upon Rocky DeSantos, Adam Park, and Aisha Campbell. Eventually, all six Rangers would lose their powers after Rito Revolto arrived and helped Zedd and Rita-the pair having married some time previously-destroy the Thunder Zords. As such, they were forced to seek out Ninjor, the creator of the Power Coins, in the Desert of Despair. Eventually, they convinced Ninjor of their sincerity, and he granted them new Ninja powers to replace their old ones. The Rangers were thus able to continue their battles against Rita and Zedd's forces for some time, even after Rita's father Master Vile arrived to bolster their forces. Another change to the team came when Kimberly gave up her powers to Katherine Hillard, another reformed minion of Rita's. However, as a result of Vile's tampering with time, the Power Coins were destroyed, leaving the Rangers without their Ninja powers. They were thus forced to utilize the Zeo Crystal to obtain new powers, becoming the Zeo Rangers, effectively rendering this team null and void. However, as there were only five pieces of the crystal, only five rangers could be empowered by them. Aisha's place on the team was taken by Tanya Sloan who joins the four remaining rangers, while Billy stepped down to serve in a support role as passes his powers to Tanya. Her indictment couldn't have come at a harsher time, because the enemy was now the Machine Empire whose power threatens previous villains Lord Zedd and Rita Repulsa to the point that they flee the solar system. The five morph for the first time to fight their footsoldiers the Cogs when they attack the rubbish dump and easily send them packing which leads to King Mondo declaring war on them. Some time later, Billy and Alpha build the new Zeozords to replace the Ninja and Shogunzords which are inaccessable due to the Ninja Power Coins being destroyed. Being proactive, King Mondo sends the Cogs to destroy them early but they are defeated so he sends down Staroid only for the Zeo Megazord to destroy him. The Rangers battle the Empire on numerous other occasions until King Mondo starts unleashing relentless attacks against the Rangers which split them up. As such, he sends down Wolfbane to destroy them but the arrival of a mysterious pyramid forces him to withdraw. Later, Wolfbane returns and nearly destroys the Rangers but a new Gold Ranger appears and destroys him much to Mondo and the Rangers' confusion. After the destruction of Somnibot and the revelations of Trey of Triforia as the mysterious Gold Ranger, King Mondo uses the Neo-Plutonium Armor to make his monsters unstoppable whilst Trey transfers his powers to the former Red Ranger Jason Lee Scott. In the process, the Rangers are given the Super Zeo Gems which transform into the Super Zeozords which are able to destroy the stronger monsters. Utilizing the Damocles Sword, King Mondo personally fights the Zeo Rangers only to be destroyed which forces Queen Machina to take control and send her husband away for repairs. In the meantime, the Evil Space Aliens (having returned during the Neo-Plutonium plot) build Louie Kaboom who forcibly takes control of the Machine Empire. However, he breaks control of his creators' control and becomes independent. As such, the fight against the Zeo Rangers becomes far more violent and tactical. In time, Prince Gasket and Princess Archerina overthrow Louie Kaboom and brainwash him using love arrows which leads to his death at the hands of the Zeo Ultrazord. Eventually, the gold Ranger powers begin to take thier toll on Jason and the Zeo Rangers have to return them to Trey whilst the Machine Empire and Evil Space Aliens enter open war over Earth. They destroy a giant King Mondo by enlarging themselves and, after Rita and Zedd destroy the Royal House of Gadgetry with a bomb, Trey leaves Earth and the other Zeo Rangers settle down peacefully. But this peace was not to last... When the evil space pirate Divatox arrived on Earth looking to capture the wizard Lerigot and release the monster Maligore, the four Zeo Rangers, Tommy Oliver, Adam Park, Tanya Sloan and Katherine Hillard learned that their powers wouldn't be enough to stop her if she were to succeed. As such, Zordon, Alpha 5, and the rangers created a new set of powers from an unknown source, creating the Turbo Keys and their corresponding Turbo Zords. Due to Blue Zeo Ranger Rocky DeSantos being injured and is unable to rejoin the rangers, Justin Stewart became the Blue Turbo Ranger in his place after learning the identities of the other rangers. Using their keys and a magical ship known as the Ghost Galleon, the rangers followed Divatox's Subcraft through the Nemesis Triangle to the island of Muiranthias where Maligore was imprisoned. After facing Divatox's forces and two former rangers-Kimberly Ann Hart and Jason Lee Scott-who had been corrupted by Maligore's influence, the rangers battled and defeated Maligore himself. The rangers continued to battle against Divatox as she threatened Angel Grove, facing off with various monsters as time went on. Shortly after the space pirate's arrival, Zordon and Alpha 5 departed for Zordon's homeworld of Eltar, while Dimitria and Alpha 6 arrived to advise the rangers. Another ally soon arrived in the form of the Blue Senturion, an intergalactic police officer who came bearing a grim warning of the future formation of the United Alliance of Evil. Eventually, the former Zeo Rangers who remained on the team came to the point where they were ready to move on in their lives. As such, they passed on their powers to four new rangers: T.J. Johnson, Ashley Hammond, Cassie Chan, and Carlos Vallerte, with Justin continuing to serve as the Blue Ranger. This team would continue to contend with Divatox, facing new enemies like her brother General Havoc and being joined by new allies like the sentient cars Lightning Cruiser and Storm Blaster, and the enigmatic Phantom Ranger. From their new friend, the rangers also received the Rescuezords, which they employed against various monsters sent by Divatox. Zordon and Alpha 5 created androids identical to the second-generation Turbo team. The Rangers took over for the actual Turbo Rangers as part of an experiment for a very short time and eventually traveled to Eltar, where they were needed. Dimitria noted that these Rangers may eventually return to come to the aid of the Rangers. The Turbo Rangers' adventures as a team came to an end with a series of defeats. Eltar came under attack by the forces of Dark Specter, forcing Dimitria and the Blue Senturion to depart in hopes of aiding Zordon. The Rangers' Zords were then destroyed in battle with the monster Goldgoyle, and a massive attack by Divatox's army destroyed the Power Chamber. In the process, the rangers arsenal-including their sentient cars-was either destroyed or captured. Her task accomplished, Divatox responded to an invitation to join the United Alliance of Evil, and the powerless rangers determined that they had to follow her into space. By boarding a NASADA shuttle, the rangers-with the exception of Justin, who elected to remain behind on Earth and Alpha 6 departed. They would later join forces with Andros, becoming the Space Rangers. These heroes would be needed right then and there. After the destruction of the Power Chamber and loss of the Turbo powers, T.J., Carlos, Ashley, Cassie, and Alpha 6 left Earth to rescue Zordon. While in space, they came across a mysterious spaceship. After being pulled inside by a tractor beam, they discovered it belonged to the Red Space Ranger, Andros. The ship was then attacked by Astronema, and crashed. After much urging, Andros allowed the others to help him, and gave them the Astro Morphers, allowing them to become Space Rangers. After the battle, the team set out to repair the Megaship and search for Zordon. They encountered resistance from the United Alliance of Evil, often having to return to Earth to defend it from their attacks. After many adventures, they discovered the Silver Ranger, Zhane, locked in a cryogenic tube. He was eventually released, and joined the Rangers. When the Alliance launched their invasion, the Rangers fought to defend Earth. However, the Alliance's numbers proved too much for them, and they were forced to retreat. Andros sneaked onto the Dark Fortress in hopes of freeing his sister, while the rest of the Rangers battled the remaining forces, with help from the civilians. They defeated the Alliance when Andros smashed Zordon's tube, releasing the Z-Wave. This destroyed or changed all the members of the Alliance and ended the invasion. After the battle, the Rangers assisted in the restoration of KO-35, and returned home.

Damon: Their time ended, but ours began afterward...

Ivan: Quite right, because shortly before the space colony Terra Venture left Earth's orbit, four members of its crew-Mike Corbett and his brother Leo(who had stowed away), Kai Chen, and Kendrix Morgan were engaged in a training simulation on Earth's moon. While there, they witnessed the opening of a strange portal that admitted Maya, a native of the planet Mirinoi. Learning that her world was in trouble, Mike went through the portal to help her, and was followed by Leo and Kendrix before the portal closed. Kai, determined to catch up to them, convinced mechanic Damon Henderson to help him take the Astro Megaship from its museum dock to Mirinoi. Once there, they joined the others, and everyone except Leo drew one of the legendary Quasar Sabers from their stone sheaths. A battle with Furio, general of the villain Scorpius, led to the rest of Mirinoi's inhabitants being turned to stone and Mike falling into a fissure. Before he fell, he entrusted his saber to Leo; Leo then joined the other four in becoming one of the Galaxy Rangers. For some time, the unlikely team battled against Scorpius and his army of villains, gained new allies-the Galactabeasts-and new weapons-the Transdaggers and Quasar Launchers. New foes emerged as a destroyed Furio was replaced by Treacheron, and a new enemy of Scorpius' with questionable morals arose in the form of the Magna Defender. The Rangers and these warring parties became engaged in the hunt for the Lights of Orion, a powerful energy source that the Rangers eventually obtained, increasing their powers. They were soon able to destroy Treacheron, and the Magna Defender later redeemed himself by giving his life to prevent Terra Venture's destruction. In the process, he released Mike, whom he had previously taken into himself in order to escape the chasm on Mirinoi that they had both fallen into. The Magna Defender's spirit later bequeathed his powers to Mike, who became the new Magna Defender and a member of the Rangers' team. Scorpius' new general Deviot proved to be a dangerous foe, but the Rangers were further bolstered after freeing the Stratoforce Megazord, Centaurus Megazord, and Zenith Carrierzord from his control. They were eventually tricked into destroying Scorpius by Deviot, who hoped to usurp his master's power. However, Scorpius' daughter Trakeena ascended to the throne with general Villamax at her side and set out to take revenge on the rangers. One such attempt involved the Psycho Rangers, who were reanimated to serve as Trakeena's minions. The Galaxy Rangers were forced to battle them on two occasions, and were aided in these battles by the Space Rangers. However, the victory over Psycho Pink came at a great cost, as Kendrix sacrificed herself to destroy the Savage Sword empowering the villainess. As a result, the pink Quasar Saber was sent out into space, where it would eventually be found by Karone, formerly known as the villain Astronema. Impressed by Karone's heroism, Kendrix's spirit named her the new Pink Ranger. During their adventures, the Rangers came across the mysterious Galaxy Book, which contained many secrets and great power. Deviot used this power to transport Terra Venture into the fabled Lost Galaxy, where he continued to serve as an adversary to the Rangers under the command of Captain Mutiny. After a series of battles, the Rangers were able to return Terra Venture to the outside universe, though at the cost of Mike's Magna Defender powers. Captain Mutiny's Crew pursued the colony only to be destroyed by Trakeena's Scorpion Stinger, and a resulting altercation between Deviot and Trakeena led to the two merging, with Deviot's evil infecting Trakeena. The deranged queen led a massive assault on Terra Venture, bringing the colony down on the moon of a habitable planet and destroying the Astro Megaship and Centaurus and Stratoforce Megazords. However, these victories cost her both her ship and her army, and Villamax turned against her, leading to his destruction. After mutating into a hideous insectoid form, Trakeena battled the Rangers again but was defeated in the final battle. Having safely evacuated the colonists to the planet, the Rangers were stunned to learn that it was in fact Mirinoi. Returning the Quasar Sabers to their stones, they revitalized the planet's inhabitants and unexpectedly revived Kendrix as well. Afterwards, the legacy returned to where it had started, but with a new threat still... In ancient times, Queen Bansheera and her army of Demons were imprisoned in the Shadow World by the Sorcerer of The Sands. Hundreds of years later, Captain William "Bill" Mitchell and his children encountered the spirit of her general after ending up on the side of a cliff due to a car accident. Unable to hold on to both of his children, Mitchell asked Diabolico to save Ryan; the Demon agreed but took Ryan to raise as his own. Thus, alerted to the threat of the Demons, Mitchell founded Lightspeed Rescue and built its headquarters, the Lightspeed Aquabase, underwater due to the Demon race's weakness to water. After several years, signs of the Demons returning became evident, and Captain Mitchell sent out operatives to gather recruits. In addition to Dana-who had been trained as as an emergency medical technician-Mitchell selected Carter, Chad, Joel and Kelsey to serve as the Lightspeed Rangers. The team fought a number of battles against the Demon forces under Diabolico, gaining new weapons and equipment over time as the Demon threat increased. Eventually, the Titanium Morpher was developed, but proved too dangerous for an ordinary human to use. However, the morpher was then stolen by a very unexpected Titanium Ranger candidate: Mitchell's long-lost son Ryan, who had been raised to believe that his father had abandoned him in favor of Dana. Ryan fought against the other Rangers for some time, until their heroic efforts and those of his father-as well as the obvious evil of the Demons-began to awaken his inner moral sense. Eventually he joined the other Rangers, and together they succeeded in destroying Diabolico. Unfortunately, his role was quickly assumed by Bansheera's son, who began laying the groundwork for the return of Bansheera herself. During this time, Olympius employed the demon Triskull and his Ghouls to kidnap humans so that their life-force might be drained to restore Bansheera. However, in reality Triskull was working for the space villainess Trakeena, and the Lightspeed Rangers were only able to defeat her with help from the Galaxy Rangers. Diabolico later returned to continue threatening the Rangers as well, and shortly thereafter Bansheera was restored to full life as well. The Rangers continued to battle against them, and eventually destroyed all but Bansheera, Jinxer, and their Batlings. However, the villains managed to destroy several of the Megazords, seizing control of the Lifeforce Megazord and Omega Megazord for use in their ritual to revive the fallen Demons. Fortunately, they were able to thwart Bansheera's plans with help from a repentant Diabolico's spirit, trapping her in the Shadow World yet again. The Aquabase and all the Megazords were destroyed, but the Rangers' powers remained active. Fast-forward to the future, we see yet another group of fine heroes. After the criminal Ransik's escape back to 2001, the Time Force officers set to guard him, Jen Scotts, Lucas Kendall, Trip, and Katie Walker stole the Chrono Morphers and hijacked a timeship, following him to the 21st Century. There, they discovered the Chrono Morphers were DNA locked, requiring them to seek out one of the previous Red Ranger's ancestors to release the lock on the other four morphers. They found one, and Wesley Collins became the new Time Force Red Ranger, providing them with local accommodation and clothing in an old clock-tower; coincidentally, the clock-tower had previously been the base for an odd-jobs agency known as 'Nick of Time', giving the Rangers a cover story for their presence while also allowing them to earn a living. They remained in 2001 for (presumably) several months, defeating mutants sent out by Ransik or Frax. Eventually the Quantum Box was discovered, and Eric became the Quantum Ranger. After several battles, Ransik surrendered, and the Time Force agents returned to their time period.

Danny: Hey, we met those guys.

Ivan: Yes. For you see, the Wild Force Rangers are the successors of the ancient Animarian Warriors who fought against the original Master Org and his forces 3000 years before the present day. During that battle, one of the warriors, Merrick Baliton, used the power of the evil Wolf Mask to defeat Master Org after the defeat of Animus, the master of the Wild Zords. Merrick succeeded but was cursed and became the Duke Org Zen-Aku. As such, his fellow warriors imprisoned him to prevent him from causing harm to any of his former allies. With Animaria destroyed, its last fragment, the Animarium, lifted into the sky and remained hidden for millennia. After 3000 years, human pollution caused the long dormant Orgs to begin awakening once again, posing a threat to the Earth. As such, Princess Shayla - Guardian of the Animarium - knew that a new group of heroes was needed. The first Wild Force Ranger was Taylor Earhardt, who discovered the Animarium while flying for the Air Force. In time the group would be added to by the arrival of Alyssa Enrilé, Danny Delgado, and Max Cooper. This left the team lacking only a Red Ranger, a role that would be filled by orphan Cole Evans. Cole had been raised in the jungle after the death of his parents and arrived in Turtle Cove-where the other Rangers lived-with his animal crystal. After some initial difficulty, he joined the team and became their leader. The Wild Force Rangers fought numerous battles against a being claiming to be Master Org and his Duke Orgs underlings, Jindrax and Toxica. Eventually, Master Org awakened General Nayzor to battle them, and the General in turn released Zen-Aku from his ancient prison. The Rangers fought several battles with this new foe before learning of his original identity as Merrick and setting out to free him. They eventually succeeded, and Merrick became the Lunar Wolf Ranger and destroyed Nayzor. He would afterwards act as a reluctant ally to the other Rangers before eventually joining forces with them. All six Rangers would also join forces with the Time Force Rangers and their former enemies Ransik and Nadira in order to battle a trio of Mut-Orgs, hybrids of the Orgs and the Mutants who had served as foes to the Time Force Rangers. Shortly thereafter, the Rangers learned the true identity of the new Master Org: Viktor Adler, a former partner of Cole's parents who had killed the two out of jealousy after discovering and ingesting magic seeds intended to revive the original Master Org. They engaged him in battle and defeated him, and he reverted to human form, presumably nullified as a threat. However, General Org Mandilok rose to threaten the world in his place. At about this time, Animus returned in the form of a young boy named Kite, and at one point stripped the Rangers of their powers due to believing humanity corrupt and unworthy of protection. However, the bravery of the Rangers convinced him to change his mind, and he restored their powers to them. Cole would then be called upon to join a team of Veteran Red Rangers to help stop a Machine Empire plot involving the evil Zord Serpentera, and proved to be instrumental in destroying the giant war machine. Viktor Adler soon returned as a true Org, destroying Mandilok and kidnapping Princess Shayla. He was able to create an Org Heart that he used to transform into a lethal combination of Nayzor, Mandilok, and Retinax. Using his new power, he attacked the Animarium and succeeded in destroying Animus and all of the Rangers' Wild Zords. However, the heroes refused to give up, and their determination revived their Zords and awakened the other dormant Wild Zords across the globe, who combined their powers to destroy Master Org. With all Orgs either destroyed or redeemed, the Rangers returned their morphers to Princess Shayla and went their separate ways. But as such, a new evil always requires a new generation. Three teens by the names of Shane, Tori, and Dustin were ninjas at the Wind Ninja Academy. They were low class ninjas, but when their school was invaded by an evil space ninja named Lothor, they were the only students to survive. While roaming the attack site they find their sensei's son, Cameron, on the ground hurt. After helping Cam, he shows them the secret underground dojo, Ninja Ops, where they find their sensei, who had been turned into a guinea pig. Their sensei tells Cam to give the three their Wind Morphers so that they could protect Earth and civilians from Lothor's ninja army. But Hunter and Blake were trained and raised by Sensei Omino at the Thunder Ninja academy. They were young boys whose adoptive parents were murdered. They were captured by Lothor and Lothor lied to Blake and Hunter about their parents' deaths in order to gain their allegiance. The Thunder Ninjas soon believed the Wind Ninjas are responsible for their adoptive parents' death. The brothers worked in conjunction with Lothor in order to destroy the Wind Rangers and their sensei whom they believed to be their parents' murderer. Before they were about to destroy Sensei Watanabe, their parents appeared in the Cavern of Lost Ninjas and told the brothers the truth about their deaths and who was truly responsible. After realizing the truth, the brothers departed in order to clear their heads and seek revenge on Lothor. Unfortunately, the feat proved to be too much for the two Thunder Ninjas alone and after falling into a trap set up by Choobo. The Thunder Ninjas believed the Wind Rangers were their enemies once again. Tori, Dustin, and Shane manage to help break the grip Choobo has on the Thunder Rangers and finally, the brothers realize that they must team up with the Wind Rangers in order to form a stronger team to defeat Lothor's forces. And with Cameron, they did. Now, the history of the Dino Rangers truly began when Dr. Tommy Oliver-veteran Mighty Morphin, Zeo, and Turbo Ranger-joined Anton Mercer in experimenting with dinosaur DNA. Their experiments resulted in the creation of the Dino Zords and the Dino Gems, but also seemingly resulted in Mercer's death and the destruction of their lab. Unbeknownst to Tommy, Mercer survived, but also gained a malevolent reptilian alter ego named Mesogog. Mesogog rebuilt their old lab into his base and set about on a quest to turn Earth into a world ruled by dinosaurs. Some years later, Tommy began teaching at Reefside High School, where his students included Kira Ford, Ethan James, and Conner McKnight. The three of them stumble across Dino Lab, Tommy's hidden retreat, and bonded with three of the Dino Gems that he had managed to recover. As such, the trio became the first three Dino Rangers. They soon clashed with Mesogog and his forces, which included Elsa-a villain disguised as the principal of Reefside High-and Zeltrax-a cyborg warrior who would later reveal a past acquaintance with Tommy. Tommy himself later took up the mantle of a Power Ranger again, bonding with a fourth Dino Gem to become the Black Ranger. This team of four continued for a time until a dangerous new opponent entered the scene: Trent Mercer, who bonded with the White Dino Gem and was brainwashed by its evil energies to become an evil White Ranger. After spending some time as a villainous foe of the other Rangers, Trent was freed of the evil energy that corrupted him and joined them. However, he kept the fact that his stepfather, Anton Mercer, was Mesogog a secret from his teammates. This would later prove to be a source of great tension, but Trent redeemed himself in the eyes of his teammates by remaining stalwartly at their side even when they lost their trust in him. As a whole, the Rangers continued to face difficulty as Zeltrax broke away from Mesogog with his own agenda of domination but were bolstered by new powers such as Super Dino Mode and Connor's transformation into the Triassic Ranger. The Rangers faced one of their greatest challenges when the villain Lothor and several of his minions and escaped the Abyss of Evil. The evil ninja master subsequently brainwashed the retired Wind Rangers into serving as his minions, before forming an alliance with Mesogog. Luckily, the Thunder Rangers and Green Samurai Ranger managed to recover their powers and free their brainwashed friends. All eleven Rangers then joined forces to defeat Mesogog and Lothor's combined army, and Mesogog himself put an end to Lothor's threat. Shortly thereafter, Mesogog and Anton were separated from each other, leaving Mesogog free to enact his plans without interference from his human side. Fortunately, the Rangers were able to trick Mesogog, giving them the opportunity to rescue Anton and destroy Mesogog's lab. They were then forced to sacrifice the Thundersaurus Megazord and Mezodon Megazord in order to stop Zeltrax's final threat, the Zelzord, putting an end to the cyborg as well. However, just when it seemed that their mission was over, Mesogog returned a final time, evolving into a monstrous new form to challenge the Dino Rangers. Unable to stop him by any other means, they sacrificed their Dino Gems to destroy him, putting an end to the villain and their powers as well. With this task done, the five Rangers returned to their normal lives.

Jack: Yeah, they were great. But our story is another great on...

Vida: Yep. In the year 2025, three SPD cadets: Sky, Bridge, and Syd are training in order to improve their skills. Soon, their commander Cruger sends them to catch a duo of market thieves: Jack and Z. The cadets chase the thieves and soon they battle 2-on-1, and then 1-on-1. The thieves are revealed to have powers, like the cadets themselves. The cadets are defeated, and the thieves run. Cruger is disappointed of their defeat. Jack and Z are not actually thieves. They give to the poor using stolen items. Later, Cruger and Kat presents the cadets with Delta Morphers, and gives a demonstration. The cadets find the duo, but this time, the duo is outnumbered until a group of Krybots arrive and the duo run. The cadets pull their morphers and morph. Syd becomes Pink. Bridge is Green. But Sky is Blue, which he is mad because he didn't get Red. Jack and Z come help as the rangers are in the line of being blasted. All the enemies were defeated and the rangers thank the duo for helping. The duo are arrested and is offered a change of a lifetime by Cruger. Z accepts and receives the morpher to become Yellow Ranger. It took Jack awhile to accept Cruger's offer after hearing Boom's statement. He rushes to help, and is ambushed by the Bluehead. Jack reveals a Delta Morpher and becomes Red Ranger and Sky says "You've got to be kidding me. He's the Red Ranger?" Cruger congratulates the rangers on their first victory. Every member of this team has a unique power that can only be accessed when unmorphed. The unlikely new team fought a number of battles against Emperor Gruumm and the criminals hired by him to attack the Earth, particularly after the A-Squad left Earth to counter a distant threat. In the process, they met a young boy named Sam who possessed powers not unlike their own. Cruger revealed that the boy was the last child of a group of scientists who had worked on creating the SPD Morphers, with the other five children being the B-Squad Rangers themselves. Their strange powers were a result of their parents being exposed to the unique energy of the morphers. Sam was later brought into SPD, and became a member of C-Squad, with the aspiration of becoming a Ranger himself one day. Commander Cruger eventually took to the field himself alongside B-Squad after an old foe, General Benaag, reared his ugly head. The Troobian General had participated in the invasion and destruction of Cruger's home planet, Sirius, and was believed to have kidnapped Cruger's wife Isinia. Thus left the last of his kind, Cruger had put down his Shadow Saber and vowed never to fight again. However, when Benaag succeeded in kidnapping Kat Manx, Cruger's close friend and SPD technical genius, Cruger took up the Morpher she had recently created for him and became the SPD Shadow Ranger. However, he would not always enter battle, preferring to let the SPD Rangers continue to serve and protect unless the threat was dire enough. Such a threat eventually arrived in the form of the brother criminals Shorty and Devastation, who joined Gruumm's ally Morgana in attacking the Earth. Fortunately, an ally from the future came to join B-Squad in its darkest hour yet: the Omega Ranger. This Ranger from the future, transformed into a ball of light, had been lurking around for some time previously before revealing himself to prevent the defeat of SPD that had occurred in his past. Omega later revealed himself to be an adult version of the Rangers' old friend Sam. The Rangers continued to fight against Gruumm's forces, gaining such weapons as the S.P.D. Battlizer and SWAT Mode as well as various Zords. On two occasions the SPD team joined forces with a set of Rangers from another time, but unlike Omega these Rangers were from the past: the Dino Rangers. The first time, Gruumm's arms supplier and underworld contact Broodwing brought Conner McKnight, Kira Ford, and Ethan James to the future in hopes of using them against the SPD Rangers. Their powers briefly restored, however, the Rangers instead teamed up with SPD to defeat Broodwing and Gruumm's combined attack. Later, the SPD team followed Gruumm into the past to prevent him from conquering an earlier version of Earth and joined forces with all five Dino Rangers to battle him and the cyborg Zeltrax. In both instances the Dino Rangers-with the exception of Tommy Oliver-had their memories of the adventure erased, while the second time the SPD Rangers-minus Omega-also had their memories erased before returning to their own time. After some time with no contact, the A-Squad Rangers were located in space and returned to Earth, with the B-Squad Rangers fearing that they would be replaced by the returning team. Jack had also come to yearn for another purpose in life, one outside SPD. However, the entire team were soon forced to confront unpleasant reality as the A-Squad Rangers revealed that they were now in the employ of Gruumm, having chosen what they believed to be the winning team. At the same time, Broodwing-who had a falling out with Gruumm due to the Emperor's refusal to pay for the arms supplied by him-set out to destroy SPD himself with an army of criminals and Krybots. The A-Squad and B-Squad Rangers faced off in battle, with the A-Squad Rangers holding the upper hand until B-Squad activated SWAT mode. Meanwhile, aboard Gruumm's ship, a captured Cruger was treated to a startling revelation: his wife Isinia still lived and had been Gruumm's prisoner for a number of years. A battle between the A-Squad's Megazord and Delta Squad Megazord resulted in the latter's destruction after Broodwing hijacked the Delta Command Megazord. However, the B-Squad Rangers were able to form the SWAT Megazord and take down their rival Rangers, containing them before preceding to capture all of Broodwing's forces and the villain himself. However, a betrayal by their longtime contact Piggy resulted in B-Squad being imprisoned with Cruger, leaving only Omega Ranger and the SPD cadets to defend Earth from Gruumm's army. To make matters worse, Gruumm's ship soon began to transform into the gigantic monster Omni, the true mastermind behind the Troobians' attempts to take over Earth. Fortunately, Piggy had a change of heart and helped the Rangers escape, allowing B-Squad to return to Earth to prepare for the final battle. On the surface, the defenders were bolstered by the arrival of Omega's future comrade Nova and several high-ranking SPD officers, including Supreme Commander Fowler "Birdie" and Sergeant Silverback. Meanwhile, Cruger contained Mora-the child form of Morgana-before going to face Gruumm in order to rescue his wife. B-Squad formed the SWAT Megazord again and attacked Omni, finally finding a weak spot that they exploited to destroy it, seemingly at the cost of losing the Crugers. However, Anubis and Isinia survived, and the still-living Emperor Gruumm was defeated and contained in a final brief duel with the Commander. With the crisis abated, Jack left SPD to resume life as a civilian, leaving a vacancy in the team; Omega and Nova also departed in order to return to the future. After learning that the remaining Rangers wished to remain as the B-Squad, Cruger retired the A-Squad moniker and named Sky as the new Red Ranger, with Bridge taking his place as the new Blue Ranger. Then, there's us. Our predecessors, the Mystic Wizards, fought in a great battle to save the magical and mortal worlds from Octomus the Master and his forces from the Underworld. Eventually the wizards succeeded, but at a cost: the mighty warrior Leanbow was trapped in the Underworld, and Gatekeeper Niella perished in the effort of sealing the Underworld forces away. Additionally, Calindor betrayed the mystics and attacked Daggeron in an effort to kidnap Bowen, the young son of Leanbow and Udonna. This resulted in both Calindor and Daggeron being cursed and trapped in a cavern for many years. Bowen, meanwhile, was found by the Troblin Phineas and sent to the mortal world, where he was adopted and raised as Nick Russell, completely unaware of his heritage. Years later, Nick arrived in Briarwood, a town bordering a forest that contained a gateway to the mystic world. There he met Chip, Vida, Xander, and Madison, employees of the Rock Porium, where he later was hired. After encountering an old man-in reality Udonna in disguise-who claimed that his brother was lost in the woods, Nick agreed to go looking for him, and was accompanied by the others. In the forest they met Udonna, who informed them of their destiny to become the Mystic Rangers and defend both worlds from evil. Unfortunately, Koragg the Knight Wolf emerged from the Underworld about this time and attacked, eventually stealing Udonna's Snow Staff and with it her White Ranger powers. Despite some initial doubt, we came together to challenge Koragg and the other forces of the Underworld. Koragg was eventually successful in freeing Morticon, the master's current general, from the Underworld by using the powers of Niella's daughter Clare to undo the spell her mother had cast years ago. However, the Rangers succeeded in vanquishing Morticon, with Koragg escaping to fight another day. We subsequently found the cave where Daggeron and Calindor had been imprisoned, and Calindor's mummified body was taken by Necrolai, queen of the vampires, and given new life as Imperious. Me and the team, meanwhile, acquired a new ally in Jenji the genie, and were later joined by Daggeron after Madison freed him from his imprisonment in the form of a frog. The Rangers continued to battle Imperious, Necrolai, and Koragg, eventually obtaining Legendary Powers that greatly augmented their abilities. Imperious eventually came upon a plan to free the Master using our Legendary Powers and succeeded in doing so. In the process, however, Koragg's true identity was revealed: he was none other than a brainwashed Leanbow. After helping the Rangers escape, he was once again transformed into Koragg, but broke free after Udonna revealed to him that Nick was their son, she having barely discovered the fact herself. Daggeron defeated Imperious once and for all in a bound battle, and Leanbow seemingly sacrificed himself again to imprison the Master back in the Underworld, thus restoring the our Legendary Powers. However, a new menace soon rose to threaten the Rangers: the Ten Terrors. We battled the Terrors one-by-one for a time, and eventually Leanbow was revealed to have indeed survived. The Terrors eventually succeeded in freeing the Master, whom Leanbow had imprisoned in his own body, with plans to let him occupy one of their bodies. Some victories came as Udonna recovered her Snow Staff and Leanbow returned as the Wolf Warrior, but eventually the Master returned by possessing, hatching, and melting the kind-hearted Terror Matoombo. After turning Nick into a second Koragg, he went after the Mystic Mother, source of all good magic, and seemingly destroyed her. He also managed to cut down Leanbow and Daggeron, and stripped the Rangers of their powers as well. However, thanks to Necrolai and Itassis-the latter another Terror who had turned against her fellows-Leanbow and Daggeron were revived, and the remaining Terrors destroyed, while the Mystic Mother proved to be alive and well. The citizens of Briarwood and the forest then joined together in support, giving us renewed powers that proved too much for the Master to consume. With the monster defeated, the inhabitants of the two worlds came to dwell in peace together. Even to this day, people like us fight the evildoers, and defend our world!

Narrator: Their story heard, Jeralt began to refresh the talents of these legendary heroes. And afterward...

Sothis: Hmmm... What was that name again?

Zayto: What's on your mind?

Sothis: Oh, this is frustrating me to no end! I simply can't recall. Oh, I have it! Zanado!

Maya: Zanado, the Red Canyon?

Kendall: Where we defeated the thieves...

Sothis: That's it! It was not long ago that we were there... And still, I somehow managed to forget!

Zayto: What about it?

Sothis: Well... That place brought back some fragments of my memory. I cannot help but wonder why. I feel we must return to find some answers there.

Rangers: Let's go.

Sothis: Yes, you are right! For as the saying goes, there is no time like the present.

Entrance Hall | Daytime

(Edelgard, Hubert, Dimitri, Dedue, Hilda, and Claude see the Rangers leaving the monastery)

Edelgard: Hmm... Our professor is sneaking off alone. Where to, I wonder...

Hubert: I don't recall hearing of any such plans for our class. Perhaps we should follow.

Edelgard: Intrigued, are we? Yes, let's do just that. We will consider it...extra training.

Dimitri: It is most unlike our professor to go wandering alone like that...

Dedue: Curious, Your Highness?

Dimitri: Yes. I have an uneasy feeling about this. Let's gather the others and find out what is going on.

Hilda: Huh? Where's our professor going all alone like that?

Claude: I hate not knowing what's going on... OK, that's it. Let's gather the others and get to the bottom of this.

Hilda: You want to follow our teacher?! What a pain... Ugh, but I guess I'm dying of curiosity too.

Sothis: Yes... It is all coming back to me. This structure... Oh, but it's as though my memories are clouded. The most important pieces are obscured. But I once called this home. I have no doubt. I seem to recall something...on the other side of that wall. I cannot see it, but I can still feel it... It is not my imagination. I know this to be true. We are already deep within this valley...

?: Grrrraargh!

Sothis: Oh! What was that awful sound?!

Maya: It was a terrible scream.

Sothis: Yes. And that was not a normal beast, but a huge and terrifying one! Look! There! At the entrance of the valley...a giant shadow!

Wild Demonic Beast: Graaargh!

Sothis: What is it now?!

(More wild beasts appear)

Sothis: Those hungry wolves... That howl must have riled them up. We have no choice but to fight our way out. Give it your all!

Kendall: Oh, good grief! Serves us right for not asking for any assistance. SOMEONE HELP!

Hubert: It's good we've caught up with the professor, but this situation is-hard to put into words, actually.

Edelgard: Wolves to the front, hawks to the rear, and what appears to be a Demonic Beast at the canyon's mouth...

Dedue: Wolves at the front. Hawks at the rear. And at the canyon mouth, a Demonic Beast.

Dimitri: Or perhaps to call it a stray beast would be most fitting... If we cannot take out the beast, I doubt we will ever see the monastery again.

Claude: First thing's first. We need to reunite with Teach. Hurry up, everyone!

Kendall: About time you guys came here!

Chase: Well, that should teach you to ask for assistance next time.

(They take down the wolves together)

Wild Demonic Beast: Graaargh!

(Wild Demonic Beast advances and Giant Birds appear)

Claude: Great...more hawks. Those feathery jerks are trying to take us out from both sides!

Ivan: I was getting hungry anyway.

(They start bringing down the hawks)

Wild Demonic Beast: Graaargh!

(Giant Bird appears)

Edelgard: The hawks are still coming. Perhaps we should see to those before we deal with the beast.

Dillon: Won't be easy...

(Soon enough, Zayto, Flayn, and Claude all confront this monstrosity)

Wild Demonic Beast: Graaargh!

Sothis: This thing... It has no will or mind to call its own. You must now strike it down! That is the best you can hope to offer this poor, lost soul.

Zayto: I see...

Claude: Do you think it was once a human, like Miklan? No... It's not possible...

Flayn: Let us put an end to its suffering. I think that is the most honorable thing we can do at this point.

(The three manage to vanquish it)

Sothis: Our work is done? My, my... Things did not go as planned. Let us return, before any more hawks or wolves join us. But what was that Demonic Beast doing within the Red Canyon...

Edelgard: I'm glad you are safe, Professor. It was rather reckless of you to venture out alone like that.

Hubert: I suppose we came out here without permission too. If we all wish to avoid punishment... Perhaps we can all agree that we came out here for an extra-curricular activity. Let's leave it at that.

Edelgard: Still, I would like to know what brought you to this valley in the first place...

Dimitri: Professor, I am so glad that you are unharmed. What if something had happened to you?

Dedue: Your Highness, our instructor is safe. We should return to the monastery at once.

Dimitri: Yes, I suppose you are right. If we stay here much longer, we are sure to be reprimanded.

Dedue: It is not untrue to assert that our professor led us here for battle experience...

Dimitri: Dedue, you surprise me! And you, Professor. I hope you will tell us what brought you here...

Claude: Listen, Teach. No one likes aimless wandering more than me, but it's not worth dying over.

Hilda: Well, we're all OK now, so let's just focus on the positive. Ooh, maybe we can tell folks back at the monastery that we came here for battle training? With our dear professor's permission?

Claude: Hilda, you scamp! No one has a knack for getting out of trouble quite like you do. It is a gift, milady.

Hilda: Oh, is that right? Well, no one can get into trouble quite like you, so it works out!

Sothis: Oh dear... I put us in a bit of danger there! We are most fortunate that those delinquents followed us... You very nearly met your end! What a marvelous professor you must be, for all your students to be so concerned.

Kendall: I'm proud of us.

Sothis: Hmm, you seem more confident in your ability to teach. But that makes sense, as you have me to help you out. How disappointing to have dived so deep into danger, and yet to have nothing to show. Huh? What is this...strange feeling... My memories... Do you feel them stirring? How curious. You seem to have grown stronger! And all thanks to our journey to Zanado. It really was worth all that effort!

Maya: We found something...

Sothis: Huh? You found this? I daresay you may find a use for that. You should decide how best to use that thing. But wow! We got a lot out of this trip. It was a bother for a spell, but in the end, I feel we should think fondly of our little trip. We actually had a delightful time, wouldn't you say?(laughs)

(Fast forward to Fhirdiad, where Maya is)

Narrator: Alas, this adventurous moment and many others are sad and disturbing memories to the Yellow Galaxy Ranger, who has lost both her leader and sanity in a matter of days. Soon enough, her sanity and Dimitri's would be shattered by a dangerous plot!

Deviot: You what?

Cornelia: Since you serve Lord Thales as I do, I figured you'd be perfect in covering my tracks while I pin the blame on the young prince for his uncle's 'demise'.

Vrak: A wise choice, given our deceptive mannerisms. And I know just the monster who can get the job done quick, quiet, and perfectly executed...

Dragonflay: Woohoo! I am so cool. Just say the word, and I am raring to go!

Deviot: Now, just a minute. Getting inside the regent's bedroom without being detected is one thing, but we need to get inside the room altogether!(As Gruumm hands Dragonflay his staff, they and Vrak get worried)Don't worry- I've got a perfectly good idiot to take the fall for it...

(Five minutes later)

Maya: Deviot! What are you doing here?

Deviot: I've an unrefusable proposition for you, Yellow Ranger. You see, fifty gold coins told me that you wanted to see how good the royal bedroom looked from inside, and that the key to the hallway it is located in was within reach.

Maya: Is this a trick?

Deviot: Not at all. In fact, my gut tells me you need the money anyway. However, I may double the offer if you allow me to use your Transdagger.

Maya: Fine.

(Minutes later, she finds the key and approaches the door in the Royal Palace but discovers Dragonflay, who runs inside. Maya is soon taken captive by Deviot while Dragonflay rushes through the Palace and attacks Rufus in the bedroom with Deviot using the Delta Daggers to land the final blow)

Narrator: When next she woke, Maya found herself tricked, and blamed for a crime she never committed in her life alongside the man she loved. Thinking back, she remembered their last good moment together...

Dimitri: Thank you for your help the other day, Professor. Please, allow me to express my gratitude by taking you to dinner.

Maya: I would be delighted.

Dimitri: Fantastic. Please think about what you'd like to eat. After all, such magnificent guidance must work up quite an appetite. I've studied swordsmanship for some time, but your mercenary skills are something else entirely. Speaking of which, there's...another question I must ask you. Were you reconciled with the reality of battle from your first foray? With...the killing part, I mean.

Maya: No. It's never easy.

Dimitri: I see.

Maya: And you?

Dimitri: No... I do not carry that burden well. I doubt that will change, no matter how many years come and go. The first time I led on the battlefield, I was sent to quell a rebellion in the west. It was not a difficult fight. The enemy was not well–trained and their morale was low. A swing of the lance, and your opponent falls. A flash of your blade, and a path opens up. That's the sort of battle it was. Easy...right?

Maya: What caused the rebellion?

Dimitri: The noble family from that area sought to seize the throne after my father's untimely death. The leader of the rebel army was defeated and the rebellion quelled. This was at the height of the post–war period. I recall coming across a dead soldier's body. He was clutching a locket. Inside was a lock of golden hair. I don't know to whom it belonged. His wife, his daughter...mother, lover... I'll never know. He was a soldier. An enemy. Someone we had cut down without hesitation. But in that moment, I realized he was also a real person, just like the rest of us. Of course, we cannot stand idly by and allow anyone to commit senseless acts of violence. Yet in dispensing what we call justice, we take the lives of cherished family members. Beloved friends. Killing is part of the job, but even so... There are times when I'm chilled to the bone by the depravity of my own actions.

Maya: I've felt the same way.

Dimitri: That you feel the same way is more comforting than you could know. Professor? May I speak freely? When we first met, I thought of you as someone who felt no strong feelings about killing your enemies. I could never trust someone who kills without batting an eye. My heart won't allow it. But after speaking with you and getting to know you better, I can see you're not like that. Now I know, with all my heart, that I can trust you. Thank you for that.

Narrator: Oh, now they were both imprisoned for alleged regicide. A fate that would've had them hanged, had not both Damon and Dedue sacrificed themselves for their sakes. Four more years shall pass for them as the pair, along with the remaining two Galaxy Rangers and the Magna Defender await the return of their leader and brother, as the new Duke of the Leicester Alliance and her comrades in arms await their tech expert's comeback, and as a certain warrior prepares for a hero's welcome-where it all began...

Author's Note: I took the assassination scene from Princes All, the first episode of the third season of Young Justice.
