Ch 2 Uprising - Fall of New Arcose

Frieza Planet 215

The prison riot orchestrated by Blizzard's loyalists was closing in on it's 3rd hour, more than enough time for the prison guard to regroup and reorganize.

There were only three reasons why the guard haven't overwhelmed this overall diversion.

1. There were still plenty of loyalists and rioters left standing to effectively push back anything short of a full assault.

2. With a number of casualties sustained on both sides, the rioters had managed to break through the primary defensive line in the center courtyard with an attack from the rear.

3. A small number of the prisoners, lead by a bald humanoid called Surge, formed a vanguard ahead of the main force and were, quite literally, ripping apart everything that stood in their way.

The main contingency of loyalists and freed prisoners moved through the carnage.

They looked at the blood stained halls, the mutilated corpses of those unfortunate enough to 'fight' Surge and his band. Many could help but wonder just how in the Kais name did these prison guards manage to keep such a monster restrained, or even captured in the first place.

"What a mess." One of the loyalists said in a whisper. "The being that caused this, his name is Surge correct?"

"Yeah." Another of the loyalist replied. "Mass murder wanted on several solar systems. I can see how he'd became that popular."

"Such a monster." The 1st loyalist said. "I never knew they kept such powerful criminals here."

"Makes you wonder why the never tried to brake out on their own before." The 2nd added. "If we make it out of this alive, the galaxy's gonna have a number of problems."

Several long moments passed. The loyalists taking point suddenly stopped and so did the rest in turn. Blocking their path ahead was the monster Surge himself, along with his followers.

Each was covered in the multicolored blood of their enemies, of course Surge was drenched from his torso up to the tip of his head.

These 'coverings' perfectly portrayed the band as a bunch dangerous criminals and bloodthirsty murderers.

"What's left of the guard in this sector are rallying ahead." Surge spoke aloud. "We though it would be beneficial to wait for to catch up before we assaulted the position. Do not make us regret this decision."

"But of course." One of the loyalists replied. He stepped forward, walking up to the mass murderer. This loyalist also was a humanoid, had purple skin, and carried himself well. (FWI, its the same guy that cut off the communications.)

The loyalist stood face to face with Surge, clearly unaffected by the latter's intimidation.

"Did you managed to get a good look at their defenses?" The loyalist asked.

Surge stared straight into his eyes. "It's of a similar set up to the center courtyard, only with less guards."

"I see. So we should have little trouble attacking it head on."

"For those that aren't weak." The murderer turned his gaze to the remaining rioters and loyalists. He slowly scanned across their faces before returning his attention to the purple humanoid before him. "And I see many weaklings here."

"We'll make it work. Your freedom is at stake here." The humanoid said with a half smile.

"Of course." Surge crossed his arms. "We'll do our part. As long as your lot do the same, this planet will be under our control by the end of the day."

"Confident our we?"

"Do not test me, worm." Surge uncrossed his arms. "When I say something will happen, it will happen." He turned around and began moving forward.

"Let's get the slaughter started."

Surge's band of fellow scum and murderers followed after their leader.

Blizzard's loyalists hesitated for a few moments before following as well. With the remaining prisoners behind them, they marched after the greatest threat on this planet.

And each wondered for how much longer will that threat would be an ally.

New Arcose.

"Wh-what is this?!" Captain Ginyu almost yelled.

Before him was something unlike anything he'd laid eyes on in all his long lasting life. Who appeared to be the leader of this Saiyan Rebellion, or at least one of the ring leaders, transformed before his very eyes.

It was vastly different from the Giant Ape form he known Saiyans to possess. This was a golden form, one with spiky hair and a flashing aura that pulsed with life and sound.

It was awe inspiring, or in the captain of the Ginyu Force's case: Quite frightening.

"What are you?!"

"You wish to know?" Riddic bluntly replied. "I am what your master feared most."

Ginyu shook his head back and forth. "No. No you can't be!"

"But I am." Riddic smiled. He flashed his golden aura, screaming this next part to the heavens. "MY NAME IS RIDDIC, AND I AM A SUPER SAIYAN!"

Captain Ginyu staggered back in a panic. There was no way this could be happening! A Super Saiyan, the legendary killing machine and one of the few things his lord and master fear in this existence. There was no way he could defeat such a foe!

And that was when, a particular idea popped into his mind.

Ginyu calmed himself down. 'But, I don't have to fight him.' He smiled, chuckling to himself for a few seconds before irrupting into uncontrollable laughter.

Soon, this Saiyan will realize the key to Ginyu's long lasting life.

Riddic raised his eyebrow, believing his opponent had gone made.

"So this is a Super Saiyan." Ginyu said as he calmed down once more. "How ah inspiring! Truly, you live up to the legend!" He chuckled. "And that make's it all the more perfect for me."

Riddic crossed his arms. What was this man going on about? Had he gone insane?

"And just how is me being stronger than you a good thing?"

Ginyu ignored the Super Saiyan. He threw his arms out to his sides, laughing even louder. "CHANGE NOW!"

Riddic raised his eyebrow once again. Change? What was th-

A gold ray of light shot out of Captain Ginyu's mouth, it raced towards Riddic. The latter uncrossed his arms, about to jump to the side when his arms suddenly locked in place.

"What?" The Saiyan shouted. His body was stiff, unable to move at all.

The immortal looked at the coming beam of light, in seconds it reached him. Instead of exploding like he thought, the beam shot down Riddic's throat. The latter felt a strange tingling sensation as it reached down to the very core of his being.

The Super Saiyan looked at his opponent. His eyes widened as a larger image of Frieza's most loyal soldier manifested behind him, yet completely unaware of the fact that a larger image of himself appeared behind his own body.

'AHAHAHAHAHA!' Ginyu's voice seemed to echo inside Riddic's mind. 'It's all over Super Saiyan!'

Minutes earlier...

"RECOOME ULTRA FIGHTING BOMBER!"

The Ginyu force member shouted, throwing his arms high above his head. A large blue field of light rush out of his body, consuming everything in its way.

Roy quickly brought his arms up in a block. The Saiyan was consumed by the blue light moments afterward. The explosive wave continued to expand outward, stretching to a mile wide. Once it stopped expanding, Recoome's Ultra Fighting Bomber lasted for a few more seconds before dissipating.

Recoome let out a hearty laugh. Below, were there was once ruin and other buildings was all erased. Now there was nothing but a giant gaping crater; a testament to how devastating his attack truly was.

"How'd you like my ultimate move? Pretty powerful huh?" The Ginyu said between laughs. "Told you I blow all you losers away!"

Recoome stopped laughing a few moments after. He smiled, eyes drawn to a particular being flying a few dozen feet from himself.

Roy panted, his right arm dangling at his side. His armor nearly gone, and blood poured from almost everywhere. Near every part of the Saiyan's body stung, save his right arm which he couldn't feel at all.

"Still alive huh?" Recoome said with a smirk. "I'm impressed! Not a lotta people survived that attack before."

"I can tell." The Saiyan replied in between breaths.

He grinned his teeth. 'Damn it. I don't think I can use Final Raver with one arm.' His eyes darted to his wounded arm as he thought the last bit.

'Ah, I screwed this one up.' Roy clinched his one good hand.

"Sorry Riddic, but it looks like this is the end of the road for me." He muttered with a half smile. "You'll just have to live on without me, but hey at least you got Lea at your side. See yea on the other side buddy."

The Saiyan closed his eyes, he took a deep breath and exhaled. 'If I'm going down, at least I'll go down with fighting.' He opened his eyes. Roy reared his body back a few centimeters.

"Alright you dumb brute! Let's see what you got!"

"That's the spirit!" Recoome said with a laugh. "Time to finish you off Saiyan!"

"I'm afraid that's not happening." A new voice said out of nowhere. Faster than either could see, a new being emerged between the two fighters.

Roy recognized the red-skin man from earlier, though he only seen him for a brief instant. The man before them was a demon, or at least shared the same appearance of a demon.

With his pointy ears, pointy horns and sharp teeth that popped out the corners of his mouth, who wouldn't think this guy was a demon?

"My name is Captain Drak, one of the strongest fighters still loyal to true ruler of the Planet Trade: Lord Blizzard." The demon spoke, moving his right hand behind his back while positioning his left hand outward. "You're fight is with me, puppet of the Cold Family."

Recoome blinked a few times before letting out a laugh. "Lord Blizzard? Never heard of him." The brute showed his teeth in a smirk. "Must be some loser then, other wise I think I would know who you're talking about."

Captain Drak lowered his left hand. "An insult to my lord is an grave offense-" He vanished, quickly reappearing behind Recoome.

"-One that is punishable by death."

The Ginyu member managed to turn his body half way around before Drak delivered a swift left-hand chop to the brute's neck. The latter drifted a bit, dazed by the blow.

Captain Drak extended his left hand out towards Recoome. He extended one finger and drew a circle in the open air. In the area he drew his air circle, a fireball no bigger than the palm of his hand suddenly spawned out of thin air. The demon gently threw his hand on the back of the fireball.

After a moment, the fireball flew towards Recoome at an alarming speed. The fireball collided with the dazed brute, exploding into a huge ball of fire.

Captain Drak lowered his hand, eyes glued to the fire storm before him.

Suddenly, Recoome came rushing out of the explosion. His armor completely destroyed, and even the leather undershirt worn beneath it was nearly eradicated.

The Ginyu brought his right hand up and balled it in a fist. Once he closed in on his opponent, Recoome launched his right hook aiming for Drak's face. The latter quickly brought his left hand up, blocking the attack with a single finger.

Veins popped out and pulsed on Recoome's forehead, the latter pulled more strength into his fist and yet he could even budge Drak's finger.

The demon lowered his gaze to Recoome's almost bare chest. Two energy waves rushed out of the captain's eyes and through the brute. The latter fell back, coughing up blood.

Captain Drak held his left hand out towards the falling Recoome. Dark red energy charged in his open hand as he looked at his opponent with cold eyes.

"Disappear."

Captain Drak launched his energy wave at the Ginyu Force member, consuming the latter and ultimately erasing any trace of the brute.

The demon lowered both his hands, staring at were his opponent once was before turning his head toward Roy.

"Are you alright?" He asked with some concern showing in his voice.

Roy smiled. "I'm peachy, unlike that guy." He moved his left arm over his right shoulder. "I can head back to the ship on my own, so no worries."

Captain Drak responded with a nod. "Then I'll check on the other two that were caught up in that blast. Given their energy readings, I assume they are in need."

'Other two?' Roy raised his eyebrow. He reached out with his senses, detecting the two power levels Drak was referring to.

"Daizu and Paragus!" The Saiyan said with eyes wide.

Drak turned his body in the direction those two seemed to be in. "I'll make sure they are taken care of. They will not die, I promise you that."

The demon began to slowly lower himself to the ground. "Head back to the ship, these two will follow shortly."

Captain Drak increased his speed, reaching the ground in seconds. One he had, the demon began scanning the area. He took a few steps forward, flipping over rubble as he searched.

Roy let out a sigh. "Alright, I'll just leave'em to you." The Saiyan turned around, slowly floating in the same direction as Frieza's spaceship.

Meanwhile...

An explosion rocked the frontal area outside Frieza's ship. Bodies flew across the open courtyard as other loyalists rushed to see what caused the attack.

Three figures; Arcosians, stepped forward.

"These guys are weaklings." The one on to the right, an Arcosian in the 2nd transformed state said.

"What do you expect?" The one to the left, an Arcosian in the 1st transformed state said. "These are cannon fodder. Nothing worth fighting among this lot."

The last Arcosian in the center, in his 4th and final transformed state, crossed his arms. "Agreed. You can thank Frieza and his tendency to send these fools to the slaughter over and over again."

The trio of Arcosians scanned the faces of the gathering loyalists.

"Looks like we've drawn their attention." The second one said.

"Not like these guys can give us any trouble." The first replied.

"Members of the Cold Family I presume?" A new voice shouted out towards the group. The three Arcosians looked up, noticing another Arcosian slowly floating toward them.

"Who are you?" The third Arcosian said as he uncrossed his arms.

"You may have heard of me from that usurper Cold." The airborne Arcosian said before touching the ground before the others. "I am the rightful ruler of the Planet Trade Organization: Lord Blizzard."

"Lord Blizzard?" The 3rd Arcosian's eyes widened. Unlike his two companions, he had heard of this man. Blizzard was the man King Cold and his family rebelled against so many decades ago.

To think that this was the very same Blizzard. Unbelievable.

"Never heard of you." The 1st Arcosian said. "But if you got a problem against the Cold Family, I'd be happy to-"

"Sorry, but I don't have time to play around with you." Blizzard interrupted, extending one finger towards the Arcosian. "I have an invasion to oversee."

"You have some ner-"

ZING!

A purple energy beam pierced through the 1st Arcosian's chest. The latter fell back onto the cold floor, dead.

"You bastard!" The 2nd Arcosian rushed at Blizzard. "You pay for tha-"

Without even looking, Blizzard wrapped his tail around the man's throat. He slowly chocked the life out of the clearly overpowered Arcosian. Blizzard's eyes shifted to the third's.

Blizzard raised his hand and fired a simple energy blast.

The 3rd's eye's widened, he raised his hand and fired an energy wave in response.

The two Kai attacks collided. Blizzard's attack easily pushed the energy wave back towards its caster.

The Arcosian screamed before being consumed by the energy blast. Nothing but ash remained of his body.

SNAP!

Blizzard released the 2nd Arcosian, letting his limp body fall to the concrete.

"Clean this mess up." He told the nearest trooper. "And alert me the moment something like this happens again."

The trooper replied with a crisp salute.

The large Arcosian looked to the city. Explosions occasionally echoed across the main buildings, though they sounded farther and farther away with each passing half hour.

Blizzard raised one hand to his mouth as he let out several deep coughs. He retracted his hand, staring at his own blood within his palm.

A small trail of dark purple blood oozed out of the corner of Blizzard's mouth. He looked back out towards the city.

"I'm running out of time." He said in a whisper. The Arcosian turned around, quickly he paced back inside the ship.

'There is one thing left I must do before I go.' Blizzard thought. 'I will not allow myself to fall before I completed this task.'

A few minutes later...

The western front was on the brink of near collapse. Despite Riddic's removal of Burter and Jeice, the Saiyan-loyalist forces were constantly hammered by the seemingly endless wave of PTO reinforcements.

When it looked like the defensive line was about to fall, Prince Vegeta arrived with much needed reinforcements. The relief forces quickly replenished the defenders, ensuring the western front would hold.

However, unknown to either the PTO or the Saiyans and their allies, a pair of cloaked figures causally walked across the ruined battlefields.

The mysterious duo stopped once they found what they sought: The dying form of Burter.

The shorter of the two held one hand out over the dying humanoid. A green aura enveloped her hand.

"Are you going to do to him what you did to me?" The taller cloaked figure asked.

"Not quite." The shorter replied. "I'm going to heal his wounds, then offer him a choice. Whether he takes my offer or not is the reason why we are here."

As she spoke, a green beam shot out of her hand. It made contact with Burter's body and began to form a green aura much like the one around her hand over the Ginyu member's body.

The taller figure let out a laugh. "I thought your kind was suppose to know everything." He said as he placed one hand on his waist.

"Even we aren't all knowing." She shot back. "If we were, then this universe wouldn't be in such a bleak state now would it?"

"Maybe." The taller figure smiled. "Unless you overseers like to watch how we mortals try to kill ourselves."

"Hush now." The smaller figure replied. "He's regaining consciousness."

Burter slowly opened his eyes. He rose to his feet, blinking as he scanned his body.

"I'm alive." He said in amazement. The red eyed humanoid looked at the cloaked figures. "Who are you?"

"That's not important." The shorter figure said. "All you need to know is that we were the ones that saved your life with one purpose in mind. Will you hear us out, Burter of the Ginyu Force?"

The tall humanoid blinked a few times before offering his reply. "I don't know. How can I trust you?"

"I just healed your otherwise fatal wounds. Must you have another reason to place your trust in me?"

"Uh yeah I guess you have a point there." Burter rubbed the back of his head. "Alright, spill it. What do you want from me?"

"As you wish." The shorter cloaked figure replied.

"I am here to make you an offer Burter. I wish to make you stronger, faster, infinity more powerful than you are right now. All I ask, is your unconditional loyalty and I can make you into a warrior truly befitting the title of the fastest warrior in the universe."

Burter blinked a few times before bursting out into laughter. "Yeah right! Thanks for the offer but I have to decline. That punk I fought was lucky is all, I know I can beat him if I give it my all."

"I see, and that is your final decision?"

"Look, I'm grateful and all for saving my life, but I can't simply abandon my comrades."

"Very well." The shorter cloaked figure turned around, she slowly walked away from the Ginyu Force member. "Marcus."

"Yes, my lady." The taller figure replied.

He threw off his cloak, revealing himself. The man wore a white button up shirt, kaki pants and black shoes. He had the overall appearance of a Saiyan, aside from his snow white hair.

"Wait. You're...A Saiyan?" Burter said, taking a step back.

"You should've taken my lady's offer." Marcus said before disappearing.

Burter blinked once, that twice someone had completely blown away what the self appointed fastest in the universe considered fast.

Before he could do anything more, Burter felt a sharp pain in his chest. He looked down, seeing Marcus's hand plowed into his chest.

As soon as the latter noticed, Marcus swiftly pulled his hand out of Burter's chest. In his hand was the blue humanoid's heart.

Burter gasped for air, he fell to his knees. A moment after, the Ginyu fell face first to the ground.

Marcus took two steps as he turned around.

Mercilessly, he crushed Burter's heart in his hand. The latter of which exploded into a small spray of blood.

"Well that was a waste of time." He said, placing his hands in his pockets. The Saiyan slowly strolled over to his companion.

"Not entirely." She replied. "I now know for certain to never to make an offer to anyone serving Frieza or the Planet Trade ever again."

"These idiots don't know a good deal when they see one." Marcus said with a smirk. "Why do you think they blindly follow that megalomaniac anyway?"

The smaller cloaked figure ignored the last remark. "Will you see him?" She asked. "He is here, you know."

"Yeah I know." Marcus scratched the top of his head. "It's still too soon. Besides, he has to focus right now. Can't just show up in front of him and say; 'Hey, I know this is probably bad timing but guess what? I'm not dead!' It would ruin what he's trying to do here, you know?"

The small female chuckled. "I suppose you have a point. Next time then."

"Yeah..." Marcus looked off to the horizon. "Next time..."

Captain Ginyu blinked a few times. He smiled pleased with himself. A few minutes prior, the crafty Ginyu had used his secret technique: the ability to switch bodies with another being or as he liked to simplify it; Body Change.

His vision was a bit fuzzy at the moment, not an uncommon after affect when he switches bodies.

The captain laughed. This was it! He switched bodies with a Super Saiyan, thee legendary warrior! With this new body, Captain Ginyu would have no trouble stamping out this rebellion.

Odd thing was, he didn't feel any different from before. Not that in matter what he felt right now, given the body snatcher was experiencing known after affects he had to have taken the Super Saiyan's body.

As the moments passed, Captain Ginyu's eyesight became clearer. He smiled as he brought his arms up. He looked at them, waiting for his vision to fully return.

With time he regained his eyesight. Ginyu looked at his arms.

His purple arms.

Captain Ginyu's eyes widened as he realized the truth. He was still in his own body.

"How?!" The captain of the Ginyu Force shouted. "I'm still in my own body. Inconceivable!"

He started to panic. Never had his Body Change failed him before!

Ginyu looked up, staring into the eyes of the Super Saiyan. Riddic stared back at him, looking just as confused as the captain.

"What exactly did that last move do anyway?" He asked. "I mean, aside from paralyzing me for a time and creeping me out, it didn't do a thing."

Captian Ginyu's eyes pulsed. There was no way, no way this was happening! "I-I don't understand! My technique should have worked! Even on a Super Saiyan like yourself!"

And that's when an idea popped into his mind.

Could the reason why his body switching technique failed was because his opponent was a Super Saiyan? According to the legend, a Super Saiyan was suppose to be the ultimate warrior, an unstoppable killing machine!

Ginyu only though that mean that they couldn't be killed, but perhaps there was something more to it.

If they were truly unstoppable, could they have a sort of immunity to techniques like his body switching?

What other explanation is there? (Oh there is, at the very end there is. But this is what Ginyu is concluding so yeah.)

Captain Ginyu took a half step back. "You-your a monster!"

"What happened to all that bravado Ginyu?" Riddic crossed his arms. "You were so confident till a moment ago. Was that odd technique what you were banking on?"

Captain Ginyu fell to his knees.

"I'm sorry Lord Frieza." He slumped forward. "I, your most loyal solider, have failed you."

He placed his hand on the ground. Ginyu slammed his fist into the ground. "Please for give my incompetence, Lord Frieza!"

Tears rolled out of the captain's face. He had failed. Failed to stop this rebellion. Failed to protect his lord's capital planet.

Failed to stop the truly unstoppable Super Saiyan.

He was a failure. Ginyu knew it. Now he would died. A failure to all the Planet Trade.

Captain Ginyu continued to cry. His heart broken by his inability to fulfill his duty. How he would die without repaying his dept to Lord Frieza.

Riddic silently stared at Captain Ginyu. He scratched the back of his head, not entirely sure how to react to this.

The Super Saiyan let out a sigh. "You're not even worth killing anymore."

He turned his back to Ginyu. "Leave. We're done."

Captain Ginyu's eyes widened once he heard what the Saiyan had said. He looked up at the golden figure.

"You heard me right. I'm letting you go." The latter said. "Leave, before I change my mind."

Captain Ginyu rose to his feet. "Your serious?"

"Do I sound like I'm joking?"

Ginyu wiped the tears rolling down his face. He stared at the Super Saiyan in surprise. He, the supposed ultimate killing machine was showing mercy?

Riddic dropped out of his Super Saiyan state. "You know you're beaten Ginyu. That's why I'm letting you go."

Riddic turned his head back to the captain. "So leave, get off this planet while you have the chance."

Captain Ginyu's eyes widened. Mercy from a Saiyan? This was utterly unexpected. He should be angry! Furious even! And yet, he shows MERCY!?

The purple humanoid clenched his fists.

He was insulted! And yet...Ginyu couldn't help but feel glad. Happy that thee most powerful fighter in the universe was sparing him. Inconceivable!

Captain Ginyu brought his fists up, taking up a fighting stance.

Riddic half turned his body back, his eyes staring into his opponent.

The latter felt a chill, as if the Saiyan was looking into his very soul. Ginyu urged his body forward, to charge into what he knew was certain death.

But he couldn't.

Ginyu's body froze, unable and unwilling to carry out his suicide will. He collapsed to his knees, cursing at his own cowardliness. His mind bickered back and forth, one side fighting the other over dying with honor now or retreating to fight another day.

'I should die fighting!' One half of his mind shouted. 'For my lord and master I should fight against this Super Saiyan!'

'Dying here wouldn't benefit Lord Frieza!' The other half of his mind shouted. 'Even if you fight, you stand no chance against him!'

'Even so, I must fight! I have a debt to repay!'

'That debt will never be repaid if you die here!'

'I cannot! I've sworn my loyalty to Lord Frieza! To the grave if need be!'

'And what better way to show your loyalty then to find a way to beat the Super Saiyan? Think about it, nothing will change if you die here! This planet is lost, but you have a chance. A chance to escape, to find a stronger body and return to face the Super Saiyan!'

'There's nothing that can beat a Super Saiyan!'

'That's what we though about Lord Frieza, and look what happened to him!'

'Lord Frieza isn't-'

'Ginyu. Face the facts. Lord Frieza was defeated and killed by this Super Saiyan. Take advantage of his mercy, go off into the universe and find a way to defeat him! To avenge Lord Frieza!'

'Do you really think there is a way to defeat him?'

'This is a big universe. The Planet Trade territory only includes the majority of the North Galaxy. We're only beginning to advance into the East and West Galaxies. There is a lot we don't know. Maybe we can find a way.'

Ginyu slowly began to rise to his feet. 'Accept his offer, get off this planet and find a way to defeat this monster. For Lord Frieza.'

The captain of the Ginyu force regained his composure. He looked at Riddic.

"Fine." He said reluctantly. "I will withdraw from the planet. I accept my defeat."

Riddic smiled. "Go then, and never return. For the next time we meet, I will kill you."

Ginyu turned around, he took off without a second look.

Soon, he would escape this world and begin his search. To find the strongest body in the universe, and to find a method to defeat the Super Saiyan.

Twenty minutes later...

The Command Center fell into an eerie silence.

One by one, the Ginyu Force's Scouter signatures ceased giving out their signals. That at the absolute least meant that their Scouter have been destroyed, which wasn't unheard of.

However, combined with the gradually fading signals of other Scouters around their positions along with recent reports it seemed the Ginyus have been annihilated.

"All transmissions from the Ginyu Force have stopped sir." One of the techs officers said. "It seems...That the were..."

"All wiped out." Commander Ledgic finished. "This planet is done for."

The blueish-green humanoid placed his hands behind his back. "Have all our remaining forces pull back and form a perimeter around this building. We might've lost this battle, but that doesn't mean we should make it easy on them."

As the officers rushed to transmit the order. One of the sensor terminals beeped.

"Commander Ledgic, I'm picking up Captain Ginyu's power level!" The tech stationed at the terminal said with some glee. "It appears he's heading for the landing pad."

"I'll go and meet the captain." Ledgic said. "Just make sure our forces fall back."

The commander paced out of the command center. Two officers followed behind.

In a few minutes, the trio arrived at the landing pad. Ahead of them, Captain Ginyu ran towards his Attack Pod. He slammed his fist down upon it, activating it's opening sequence.

"And where do you think you're going?" Commander Ledgic shouted. He quickly paced toward the captain. "In case you are unaware, there is a war going on!"

"I know!" Ginyu snapped, turning around to face the commander. "I know, my entire squad was eliminated and I...I came face to face with a Super Saiyan."

The officers behind Ledgic gasped in horror.

Ledgic raised his eyebrow. "I thought that was only a legend."

"Yes, and a very real one at that." Ginyu turned back to his pod. "I'm only alive right now cause that monster let me go."

"If what you say is true, then this planet truly is lost."

"Yes, but not us." Ginyu turned his head to Ledgic. "I'm leaving, but only to find a way to defeat the Super Saiyan."

"You think there's such a method?"

"I..." Captain Ginyu turned his head back. He clenched his fists. "I can't say for sure, but this universe is vast. If I look hard enough, I'm sure I can find a way."

The captain climbed into his pod. He looked at Commander Ledgic. "You should escape while you have the chance. Such an officer with your talents shouldn't needlessly throw away your life."

"And were do you suggest I should run to?" Ledgic almost shouted angrily.

"There are plenty of worlds we control." Ginyu replied. "Fortress worlds, planets to make a stand. This rebellion might have won a major victory today, but that doesn't mean the Planet Trade Organization is defeated."

Captain Ginyu's pod began to close. "Take my advice Ledgic. The organization could really use a man of your talents in this time of crisis. Don't waste your life here."

Ginyu's Attack Pod fully closed at that point. A second later, the internal engines activated as the pod hovered off the ground. It took off towards the stars, vanishing from sight in a matter of moments.

Commander Ledgic stared up at the night sky. "You're asking me to abandon my men in their time of need." He clenched his fists. "I cannot run when my subordinates need me."

"Commander." One of the officers with him said. "Begging your pardon, but Captain Ginyu is correct. You should evacuate when you have the chance."

Ledgic turned around. "Not you too."

"If you could escape, help continue the fight on another planet, then all the men who died to day won't be in vain!" The officer continued. "Please, go while there's still time! Live for those that died today."

Commander Ledgic stared into the young officer's face. As much as he hated it, the man had a valid point.

Ledgic closed his eyes. "Give the order for everyone in the command center to evacuate once the Saiyans start breaking through the final line of defense. After that, make sure you escape as well."

The officer nodded. "I'll make sure it's done." He said before saluting his superior officer.

Commader Ledgic reopened his eyes. He turned to one of the empty Attack Pods, wondering how long it was been since he used one of these machines.

One hour later...

Following the escape of Captain Ginyu and Commander Ledgic, the remaining PTO troops inside the absolute line of defense to the West fell back to the Command Center.

This was their final stronghold, the only remaining obstacle left between the rebel army and complete control over New Arcose.

Within the hour, the combined might of the Saiyan Army, the 'Hyrda Squad' whom broken through the Eastern front, and mixed reserve unites held at the LZ up until this point assaulted the PTO's final defensive line.

The fighting was intense, unlike anything seen by the assaulting army. This was truly the enemies' last stand and they weren't giving an inch.

As the casualties mounted on both sides, Riddic proposed to teleport a strike team inside the Command Center, take it over from the inside, and force the remaining enemy forces it surrendering.

While Blizzard had been advising Riddic to let those under his command do their jobs without any unnecessary intervention, but given the latter's intent to offer those that survive asylum within their ranks along with the drastic increase of casualties, the plan was given the all clear by the old Arcosian.

Assembling the team took a few minutes, among their ranks were the Saiyans Travis and Ragu as well as the somewhat exhausted Lea and Paragus.

In a mere second, Riddic and the strike team teleported in the center of the Command Center, taking their enemies by surprise. Before any of them could react, Riddic quickly transformed into his Super Saiyan state.

As the many officers and guard stared in awe, the strike team spread themselves out creating a field of fire that covered the entire room.

Riddic scanned the petrified faces of the PTO troops, stopping only when he found the one officer that appeared to be in charge. The Super Saiyan walked up to the latter, smiling.

"We'll accept your unconditional surrender now."

Inside Frieza's ship...

Moments after Riddic and his team infiltrated the Command Center, a broadcast ordering all PTO soldiers to stand down was given out. The loyalists and rebel tech officers gave out a roar of approval and cheers.

"They did it!"

"New Arcose has fallen!"

"I knew Lord Riddic could put this off!"

As the many officers cheered in celebration. Blizzard smiled.

'Nicely done, my friend.' He said mentally as he was unable to find the strength to speak any longer.

With difficulty, the old Arcosian moved his hands to his chair's arms. In one hand, he held an old recording device. It looked similar to the handheld comms devices, only smaller.

'This is only the beginning. You and your friends will have many challenges ahead of yourselves.'

Blizzard struggled to keep his eyes open, much less keep his head up straight.

'I leave the future of this new nation, in your capable hands...'

One of the loyalists turned his head towards the Arcosian.

"Lord Blizzard, they did-" The trooper cut himself off. His glee turned into curiosity, then concern as he continued to look at the motionless Arcosian.

"...Lord Blizzard...?"

Twenty minutes later...

A number of loyalists, including Captain Drak surrounded Blizzard still slumped over in his chair. Each one crying at their lord's untimely passing.

Such a sigh would never be seen at the death bed of any member of the Cold Family.

Riddic, Daizu, Lea and King Vegeta stood in the room as well, standing near the entrance to the ship's bridge.

"It's a shame." Daizu said. "If only he lasted a little longer."

"He could've seen his victory." Lea said, she looked at Riddic. "I know he was your friend. I'm sorry Riddic."

A sad smile formed on Riddic's face.

He thought back when he first meet Blizzard. About how the Arcosian had done nothing but help him become what he is today.

Blizzard helped everyone gathered here.

Sure it might have been for selfish reasons, but he truly wanted to make the universe a better place.

Even though the time they spent was short, Riddic had come to treat the Arcosian as one of his closest friends.

The silver-haired Saiyan placed his right hand over half of his face. A single tear rolled down the left side of his face.

"I will miss, our conversations." He said, sadly accepting his friend's death.

King Vegeta let out a huff. "A sentimental Super Saiyan. Now I've seen it all."

Lea spun around toward the Saiyan King. "What's your problem? His friend just died! Didn't you care for him at all?"

"I don't necessarily hate him, but I don't exactly like him either." King Vegeta replied, eyeing the female. "We were allies with a common enemy, nothing more, nothing less."

Lea let out an aggravated sigh as she turned her head away. "Even the King of Saiyans is an inconsiderate jerk. Honestly, I don't know how your wife stands you."

"Well that's easy, seeing as she passed on after given birth to my second son."

"Oh...Well I'm not sorry!"

"No one asked for your apology."

"What was that?!" Lea spun her head around. "You wanna go?!"

"Miss Lea please." Daizu said in an effort to calm the Saiyan down. "Now isn't the time for this."

Lea crossed her arms, turning her back to the Saiyan King. "Fine, but we will settle this later."

"Ha, don't waste my time woman."

Captain Drak approached Riddic a few moment after. His face still wet from the tears he shed. The demon held out his hand, holding out the small recording device.

"This was in his hand." Drak said. "I believe it was left for you."

Riddic lowered his right hand. He slowly grabbed the small device and placed it in the palm of his hand.

After a few moments, the old device hummed to life. The glass frame a top lit up, a miniature Blizzard appeared moments after.

"Riddic, my friend." The recording spoke. "If are seeming this message, then congratulations."

"You have won. You, your species and everyone that fought with us today have won their freedom. It's only a shame that I could be with you in your moment of triumph, to share in our glory and to see what comes after."

The hologram paused before continuing.

"This conflict is far from over. Today was only the first step towards the revolution we sought and you can be sure King Cold will throw everything he has at you and your friends once he's learn of what has transpired here."

The hologram let out a sigh. "That man is relentless, he will not stop until he gains what he desires. Which is why you must take great care from this point onward."

The holographic Blizzard smiled. "I two presents for you. Final parting gifts if you will."

"The first, is I now officially entrust those that have loyalty served me to this very day to your service. They are all proud warriors, only a fraction of there numbers have been fighting with us this day. Treat them well and they will follow you to the gates of Hell and beyond."

"The second, is something I've prepared while you were off fighting Frieza. The next major step in our revolution."

"I have entrusted it to Captain Drak, whom upon your command will unleash it unto our enemies. It is up to you when you wish to use it, but once you have know that everyone will know of what you have accomplished and it will draw our foes to your doorstep. However, it will also usurer forth like minded individuals and possibly opptotunists to aid our cause."

The hologram paused for a few moments. It looked up, directly into Riddic's eyes.

"I know you will do well. I shall be watching over you from the beyond. Until the next life, take care my dear friend."

The recording device dim. The holographic Blizzard faded.

Riddic smiled. Even in death, his friend was still urging him on.

"I'll make you proud." The silver haired Saiyan looked at Captain Drak. The latter bowed in a salute. The other loyalists in the room followed his example.

"What are your orders, Lord Riddic?"

The Saiyan lowered his arm, he placed the recording device in his right side pocket. "Do you have Blizzard's final gift on hand?"

"Not on hand, my lord." Captain Drak replied. "But ready to release unto our enemies at the moment of your choosing."

"Very well." Riddic moved forward, passing by Drak.

He looked at the faces of the other Loyalists gather around. Now, their lives were his to command. They would fight and die for him, in honor of their previous lord and in time, they would fight in honor of their new lord.

The Saiyan turned back around. "Captain Drak." He said, waiting for the latter to spin around and face him. "Unleash Lord Blizzard's final gift unto our enemies. Let it be the foundation of our revolution."

In orbit around New Arcose...

"They actually did it." Cooler said, impressed by the show he had witnessed.

Against all odds, the Saiyans and their allies had succeed in conquering New Arcose, capital of the Planet Trade Organization. Well, at least the capital in Frieza's territory anyway.

"Magnificent. Truly." Cooler smiled. "They even defeated my brother's hand picked elite army. I can't wait to tell him everything he's built has been stolen or destroyed by the same Saiyan that defeated him."

He turned his head toward Neizu. "What do you think Neizu?"

"That Super Saiyan has quite a nice band of allies." The lizard-like humanoid said. "But that makes me wonder how he managed to acquire so many in such a sort amount of time."

"Yes...I've been wondering that myself." Cooler turned back to the planet. "I understand how he managed to woo the Saiyan Army and even my brother's soldiers."

"These others however. The men that rose up on the planet before he arrived, and those reported to be rising up across Frieza's territory. How he acquired the loyalty or even organized such a massive operation is beyond me."

"Perhaps he had a benefactor my lord?"

"Yes but who?" Cooler placed his hand on his chin. "There are a number of warlords and governors with the organizations that have this kind of main power to be sure, but to organize such a large scale operation without being discovered? No one comes to mind that could pull that off."

'But there was one who could preform such a feat with ease,' Cooler continued in thought. 'But there's no way he could be alive.'

At that moment, the main monitor hummed to life. Cooler and Neizu turned their attention towards it.

Portrayed on the monitor was an Arcosian, a rather old and tall one at that, sitting a top an ice made throne.

Neizu turned his head back to the terminal he was standing by. His thick, square fingers danced across the keyboard.

"It's on all frequencies my lord, I can't shot it off!"

"My name is Blizzard." The Arcosian said. "I am the last, true rightful ruler of the Planet Trade Organization."

Cooler's eyes widened.

"I apologize if my sudden appearance has interrupted any of your otherwise busy schedules, but this a matter of grave importance I would like to share which each and every one of you."

Blizzard paused before continuing.

"Frieza, the son of the usurper King Cold, is dead. Slain by the hands of my close friend, a Super Saiyan known as Riddic."

"By now, the Super Saiyan has lead a massive invasion force against New Arcose, and currently occupies the planet."

Once more, the large Arcosian paused for a few moments.

"This is an open declaration of war against the Cold Family. Through their reign, the Planet Trade Organization has degraded into an organization of death while they greedily profit of the misery of all who serve them."

Blizzard stood up from his throne.

"We choose to rebel against these slavers and free everyone under their tyrant rule. To restore this organization to its former glory, and insure that no evil like the Cold Family rises to power ever again!"

The Arcosian raised his right arm up to his head and clenched it.

"Rise up! Now is the time to throw of the shackles of oppression and free yourselves from this unjust life of eternal slavery!"

Blizzard held both his hands up to chest level.

"All those that fight with us shall be treated with equality! Any warlords or governors that choose to aid our cause will be granted equal or greater statures of power!"

"All those that still foolishly obey the Cold Family but surrender to our forces will be treated as prisoners of war. You will not be slain for your poor judgement, unlike what the animals who rule would certainly do!"

"We shall become a splintered faction from the corrupt and tyrannical rule of the Cold Family! A faction that will treat their soldiers not as disposable cannon fodder to throw at the way side, but as equal sentient beings whom we care for if you live or die!'

'A faction of 'Red', opposite of the usurper's 'Cold' cruelty!"

The Arcosian held his arms to his sides.

"Those that share what we feel, that long for the freedom you justly deserve, do not despair! For you are not alone! All we ask is for you to fight with us and together we shall restore the individual freedoms of everyone enslaved by the Cold Family! Together, we will bring to peace to this galaxy!"

Blizzard held his right fist high above his head. "Death to the usurper! Long live Red Faction!"

The monitor suddenly turned off, returning to its blacken state.

Moments passed before numerous panicked voices shouted over various channels the red lizard was listening in on.

"My lord, there are reports of uprisings spreading all over Frieza's territory." Neizu turned his head back to his master. "It looks like what that Arcosian wanted is coming true."

Cooler remained still for several long moments. He was, surprised. The only man he admired, the same one he thought was dead for decades and the only one capable of pulling off the 'miracles' seen today had not only declared open war against his family but successfully inspired others to follow his example.

"Interesting." Cooler smiled. "After all this time, Blizzard has returned from his exile to reclaim his stolen throne and he's in league with the Super Saiyan."

The dark purple skinned Arcosian chuckled. "Well, it would seem we have quite the challenge presented to us." He turned his head towards Neizu.

"Neizu, open the private comm channel to my father. I need to have a word with him."

"Right away my lord." The elite solider quickly went about the task. In a few seconds, the image of King Cold appeared on the main monitor.

King Cold, the father of Frieza and Cooler, was the true ruler of the Planet Trade Organization as well as thee most powerful being in the known universe.

The tall Arcosian was only in the second transformed state, and with the power in this state alone his was more that a match for his youngest son.

"Cooler. How rare I receive a call from you." He said with an unamused tone.

"Father." Cooler replied, crossing his arms behind his back.

He didn't necessarily hated his father, but he felt no affection towards him either. Mainly due to the fact that he spoiled Frieza rotten while leaving Cooler to fend for himself.

Thought this made Cooler fully aware of what he was capable of and made him a more sensible person than his younger brother. And yet, when his father simply gave Frieza his current territory and power within the organization instead of making him earn his position like Cooler had, the Arcosian knew his father held no love towards him.

That was fine. It's not like he sought attention from his father anyway. In fact, he would show his father what he was fully capable of and in turn take from the man all he knew was rightfully his.

"As much as I would love to hear what have to say at the moment, I'm afraid there is a major problem that needs my immediate attention." Cold said, tapping one of his fingers against the arm of the chair he currently sat in.

"Oh?" Cooler smirked. "Not even if what I had to say was about my dear younger brother?"

"What are you talking about?" Cold replied, raising an eyebrow.

"My foolish, overconfident brother is alive." Cooler answered as he closed his eyes. "He is aboard my ship, recovering from his humiliating defeat."

"Ah. That's good news. I shall send word tha-"

"You will do no such thing, Father." Cooler reopened his eyes. "For the time being, I do not want our enemies, nor anyone else for that matter, to know that my brother is alive."

"And what reason do you have to keep this a secret?"

"To weed out those unloyal to him, and ultimately you." Cooler smirked. "To show the both of you what happens when you treat your subordinates with such...Unpleasant content."

King Cold frowned. "I think you're underestimating how many are up in arms thanks to that old man and his allies. If news of Frieza's survival doesn't spread, then I'll be forced to eliminate over half of the Planet Trade's fighting strength."

"You don't need to worry about that, because you nor your royal guard will be making any moves against these revolutionaries."

"And why in the Kais names' wouldn't I?"

"Unless you want your precious favorite son to be mutilated and delivered at your front doorstep, you and your elite corps will not so much as stare at these new enemies."

"Cooler," King Cold frowned one again. "You are playing a dangerous game."

"Game?" Cooler let out a laugh. "This isn't a game father, but a lesson."

"A lesson?"

"Yes." Cooler smirked.

"A lesson to you and my foolish brother on how to treat your subordinates with greater care, like how I treat my men. As you can see, not one soldier is rebelling in my territory. The reason why, is cause I don't needlessly sacrifice my soldiers unlike you and Frieza who throw your troops into the fray over and over, never once handling enemies they themselves couldn't handle without devastating casualties."

Cooler crossed his arms. "Its funny that I, against your wishes, handled my men much like the former ruler of the PTO and now while your territories are in disarray from open rebellion, mine remain in order."

"So you wish me to remain idle while your brother's territories are ripped apart?"

"Do not worry yourself over such trivial matters. In time I will face these rebels, I swear on our family name. For now I wish to let things play out." Cooler smiled. "I am quite curious and wish to see how that man will lead them from here."

King Cold tilted his head to the left, he placed his hand under his cheek. "Might I ponder on what exactly do you have in mind for your brother?"

"Oh I have something special in mind." Cooler said with a smug look. "If you behave, I might return him to you. After all, I know how precious my little brother is to you and how you'll do anything for his sake."

The crafty Arcosian face suddenly portrayed calm anger.

"For years, you spoiled him rotten. Now look. Look at what that decision has lead the both of you. This is punishment father. Punishment for giving my brother everything he has in life instead of earning it like I have. Instead of taking anything he wanted with his own power and learning exactly what he could and could not do on his own."

Cooler took a step forward.

"I going to show you exactly what I am capable of, that out of the two of us I am superior to him in every way. Then, once you and my dear brother have been educated, I will take everything with my own hands. "

King Cold stared at his son in silence for the next few seconds. "Cooler. I've decided that the next time we meet, I will kill you."

Cooler shrugged his shoulders. "That's fine, but if you make a move now I will kill Frieza. Remember that."

He turned his head towards Neizu. "End transmission."

And with that, the image of King Cold faded to black.

Epilogue.

On a far of planet along the edge of the Northern Galaxy...

Avalanche rushed through the small hallways of the far off mining facility he was stationed on. He was the only soul assigned to this station. Everything else were soulless legions of automated drones, mining and otherwise.

Avalanche was a scientist...Well engineer actually, but he always wanted to be a scientist!

Unfortunately, he was such a klutz around other people that he became a danger to everyone around him. There was this one time were he and a group of students were experimenting and had to us a laser touch which caused...

Well let's just say not everyone returned home with all their limbs that night.

He was an Arcosian, in the third transformed state and barely able to control more than 80 percent of his power in this form. It used to be worse, but thanks to some training lessons from a fellow Arcosian he allowed to stay in the station Avalanche was gradually getting a hang of his powers.

The orange and white Arcosian turned left, narrowly avoiding a flying droid.

"Watch where you're flying!" He shouted at the droid. The latter replied with a sour beep.

Avalanche continued on his way, half running down the stations long hallways and sharp turns.

After a few moment, the Arcoisan reached the room where his friend was staying. At least the engineer considered the other Arcosian to be his friend. He always treated Avalanche nicely since he arrived herel.

Avalanche opened the door. He quickly huddled inside.

"Uh. Sorry to interrupt." He called out to his friend.

Avalanche could make out the Arcosian's figure in the shadowy area of the room. Why he choose to stay on that side of the room was beyond the engineer's comprehension.

Avalanche could see his friend moving his head towards him. This Arcosian was in the fourth transformed state. He had complete control of his powers, and has been training every day since his arrival 4 decades ago.

"I-I have a bit of news." Avalanche continued. "It seems. Well the revolution has started. Just like you predicted."

The Arcosian in the shadows smiled, he walked forward into the light.

His blue jem-like areas seemingly shone in the artificial lighting.

He was young by Arcosian standards. Only a few years older than King Cold's youngest son Frieza, and with full mastery over his powers.

"Thank you Avalanche." He said, holding his smile. "I suppose it's time I put my own agenda forward."

AND THUS CONCLUDES THE 2ND CHAPTER UPRISING!

Hope you all enjoyed the conclusion to the Fall of New Arcose, as well as all the lovely little foreshadowing bits I've thrown in here.

I sure this entry as brought up a few questions, and I will address a few of them now.

First, I'm going to explain how Captain Ginyu's Body Change didn't work on Riddic, but first I wish to share how that move is able to swap bodies in the first place.

Here is my theory on how Ginyu's Body Change works. When he uses it and that yellowish wave comes out and connects the two bodies together, I believe it switched the two parties souls with each other.

This is supported in the anime when Ginyu first uses this move on Goku and you see a sort of afterimage of the two behind each other before those afterimages were sent down the connecting wave.

Now the reason why this didn't work on Riddic is thanks to the fact that he's immortal.

Think of a person's body like a shell over a person's soul, but there is nothing to keep that soul inside the body if that body dies or in cases like this, something reaches inside that person and takes that soul.

How immortality works form this standpoint(aside from preventing the body from dying) is that it creates a sort of glue or clamp onto a person's soul as well as a means to repair that person's body should it be damaged.

Meaning that even if the body or 'shell' becomes heavily damaged, that person's soul will remain inside that body. Immortality in DBZ(as well as a number of other universes) seems to bound a person's soul with their body.

Now with my theory about Ginyu's Body Change swapping souls around and how Immortality tightly binds a person's body with their soul, there is absolutely no way the Body Change would work on Riddic alone. Ginyu would need to find a way to break that bind before such a technique could work.

If Riddic wasn't immortal, then Ginyu would've been successful and everyone would've been completely screwed unless he somehow messes up like in the anime, but there wasn't really a chance of that happening cause who would take the chance of loosing a Super Saiyan's body?

Course this is all theory and isn't backed by any hard proof but this is what I concluded given what I had to work with and what I am currently going with.

Second, is about the Epilogue at the end here. Now the purpose of this bit was to reveal a character who will become a major deal a bit down the road. He's an Arcosian and, if you have been paying attention to my previous entries, will have a pretty good idea who this man is.

Third, is on Cooler's little declaration. It's a known fact that he hates his brother and respects his family name, however aside from his someone distasteful comment on who King Cold spoiled Frieza, you have no real clue on how Cooler feels about his father.

So, given that Cooler is different than his father and brother, and presumably the least favorite and neglected child. I crafted a believable scenario given what I know about this particular family.

Cooler wishes to show his family what he's capable of and take everything he believes rightfully belongs to him with his own power.

How will that end up for the ambitious Arcosian? It's anyone's guess atm.

With the revolution Riddic and Blizzard envisioned quickly becoming a reality and with the Fall of New Arcose, how will things change for the once glorious Planet Trade Organization? What other hidden forces move in the shadows, eager to use this sudden chaos to their advantage?

Who will be friend, and who will be foe? Find out in the beginning of chapter 3: Red Faction!
