I don't own the Riordanverse, if I did I would have already announced a new series. Therefore the only thing in this story I own is the plot.

Percy P.O.V

Percy glanced at the clock over the stove that he had noticed upon entering the kitchen for the first time. It read 7:45, Percy sighed as he turned towards the fridge and opened it. How many people are coming, he called without turning his head.

"Jason is grabbing the gang so just make a lot," can a quick reply.

Percy sighed again, I guess I'll make 90 or so," he muttered under his breath, grabbing the eggs and buttermilk conveniently placed in the door. Before looking around and quickly locating the butter as well as the rest of the necessary ingredients he needed.

Carefully he started to mix the ingredients together combining the dry first then slowly adding the buttermilk and eggs. In a matter of minutes the massive bowl was filled to the brim with pancake batter, enough to, hopefully, feed all of his new friends. Percy smiled as he turned to the stove where the pan he had previously used still lay. "I'm gonna need more pans," he muttered as he looked towards the cabinet. Percy grabbed another four medium-sized non-stick pans and placed all of them over medium heat before dropping a decent chunk of butter onto each one and waited for them to melt before he poured a pancake worth of better in.

As the minutes passed by, Percy efficiently flipped, removed, and made more and more pancakes. In about twenty minutes, he had finished just over half the batter. Hearing a knock he glanced in the direction of the door and saw Piper, Jason, and Thalia in the doorway from the hall. "Annabeth, Will, and Nico are in the dining room," he said motioning to the room in question before flipping a pancake.

"Dam, you didn't tell me you could cook," he heard Thalia say.

"That's because cooking is an understatement, this man is a cooking god," said Nico as he walked into the kitchen. "Also, we need more pancakes," he added, turning to Percy.

"Just wait till everyone else gets here," Percy growled at Jason who was reaching for one of the plates stacked in pancakes, before shifting his focus back to the pans. Not a minute passed before another knock came.

I'll get it, Percy heard Jason say, the sigh a clear indicator that he had just sat down. A moment later he heard the front door open and voices filled the hall.

"So PJ is making pancakes?" he heard one say.

"I hope they're good, we usually have to go to iHop for good ones," came another.

Another one of them made a joke about pancakes being able to save lives which caused the rest to laugh as the group, Leo, Rachel, Luke, and Calypso passed through the kitchen.

"It smells great," commented Calypso as they reached the dining room.

"It sure does," Leo agreed, "let's hope it tastes as good as it smells."

Over the next 15 minutes, the rest of the gang arrived. By the time the last knock came Percy had finished pouring the last 2 pancakes and was just waiting to flip them.

From the hall, Percy heard Jason say, "finally Reyna, Thalia was getting impatient."

"I was not," came the voice of the now angry daughter of Zeus as she stormed past Percy to the hall.

"Was too," Percy called after her "I've been hearing you the whole time, you sound like a lovestruck teen."

"Shut up, Kelp Head," she yelled back.

"Whatever Pinecone face," he laughed. "Also, the pancakes are ready, so come and get 'em while they're hot," he added after a moment.

Immediately the kitchen was filled with people, the first of which was Annabeth. As she reached towards a plate Percy grabbed her hands, "no seconds until you admit pancakes are better than waffles," he murmured in her ear. Percy watched smugly while her face went red in embarrassment.

"What's he talking about beth?" Luke asked grabbing a plate for himself.

"Yeah what's he talking about?" Leo questioned looking at her before taking a bit out of one of his pancakes.

"What you guys didn't know?" Percy laughed.

This time it was Piper who spoke, "know what?"

"Annabeth didn't like pancakes," Nico said.

All heads in the room turned to face Annabeth so fast that if he didn't know better, Percy would have thought that it was pre-coordinated.

"What do you mean don't like pancakes," Jason asked in a slightly dark tone.

"I-,"

"Save your breath Annie," Thalia interrupted.

"Don't call-,"

"How could you," Piper gasped overdramatically, acting as though Annabeth had killed her dog.

"I was wrong," Annabeth yelled over everyone, "pancakes are far superior to waffles. I never got the chance to have pancakes when I was young and I never thought there would be such a difference between the two."

Percy laughed. "Okay wise girl we get it, now stop yelling and eat your pancakes," he chuckled.

Percy watched as the group slowly calmed and filed out before grabbing a plate of his own and turning to follow them.

Suddenly he heard a knock at the door. Thinking as fast as he could he tried to figure out who it could be.

Frank quickly asked Percy an unspoken question, "who could that be? Everyone already here."

"I'll get it" Percy called with a sigh as he put his plate down.

As he approached the door he heard a distinctly female British voice say, "are you 100 percent sure this is his dorm."

"Yes Sadie, I'm 100 percent sure that this is his dorm room," came the voice of Carter Kane with a slight sigh. "He might just be asleep," Carter quickly added.

Percy pulled open the door, "I'm awake," he said chuckling as the pair jumped. "Come in, I made pancakes, there should be a couple of plates left."

"Thanks, man it's good to see you," Carter said.

"It's good to see you to-"

"Who is it Kelp Head?" came thalia's voice from the dining room.

"One of my old friends and his sister," Percy felled back before turning back to the pair still outside the door. "I said you could come in," he said, raising an eyebrow.

"You're standing in the doorway and we can't get past you dumbass," Sadie quipped.

"Ohh, that makes sense," Percy said, moving aside.

"This is really the guy who killed 300 of Apophis' finest?" she asked, turning to Carter before walking inside.

"Without doubt," Carter sighed before walking in himself. "Sorry about my sister, she's just mad that I used her trick," he added as they walked towards the kitchen.

Percy laughed, "you mean that hand trap thing? It's all cool bro, by the way, thought you said you'd find me after class?"

"Sadie dragged me out of my room, she wanted to know how you killed them," he replied.

"You mean those dragons we went after together?" Percy asked.

"Yes, I'm talking about the dragons," Carter answered. "I meant to ask myself but I sadly didn't have the chance."

"I just sliced at them with my sword…" Percy replied.

"That's why we are so curious, that's not something even the strongest demigods could do, with the exception of the mysterious hero of Olympus, he's the guy who beat the Kronos who possessed Jacob. Who was Jason's previous roommate by the way."

Percy laughed nervously, "yeah I'm not the mysterious hero of Olympus, not even close."

"Your kidding,"

"What do you mean?"

"You're the hero of Olympus aren't you," Carter said, staring at him.

"I'm not sure what you're talking about," Percy replied weakly.

"Oh come on man, don't bullshit me," you really are the hero, aren't you.

"Yes, I-"

"Yes, you what?" came the voice of Annabeth from behind him causing Percy to jump, "also how do you know the Kanes?"

"Shit wise girl, don't scare me like that," Percy exclaimed. "well to answer your question, I met carter in Florida."

"Okay, what about my other question?" Annabeth asked.

Carter looked at her surprised, "you didn't know?"

Percy turned to Carter with pleading eyes as Annabeth asked, "didn't know what?"

Sighing, Carter replied, "that Percy makes the best pancakes ever."

"My mom makes me better," Percy interjected.

"Oh,'' Annabeth said, looking unconvinced. "I didn't until today."

Percy sighed in relief.

"Come on Carter, our pancakes are getting cold," Percy said glancing at Carter before starting towards the kitchen once more. He turned to Carter before looking at Annabeth, "you coming, wise girl?"

"Nah my mom told me she wanted to iris message me around now so I'm just going to wait over here for her," she replied.

"Oh okay, come on Carter, let's go," Percy said, turning back to Carter. Carter nodded before following Percy into the kitchen, leaving behind a slightly confused Annabeth.
