I can't believe I finished this already, and this one almost twice as long as yesterday's chapter. to be fair, the last chapter went through like 15 or 20 revisions before I felt it was even acceptable to read myself. Writer's block is stupid as fuck.

Percy Jackson belongs to Uncle Rick NOT TO ME. If it was mine _ would still be alive.
The smell of smoke hit him as Percy opened his eyes. Something was burning and he could barely see what it was. That didn't matter though, he knew it was a shroud, he closed his eyes again in hopes that maybe he wouldn't have to see it anymore and felt tears roll down his cheeks. He didn't want to see the faces anymore, Percy thought as the faces of hundreds rushed through his mind. Patrick Mahomes son of apollo, Selina Gomez daughter of Demeter, sequin Barkley son of Nike, Felix Kjellberg son of Hephaestus, and a few others were the first to come to his head as he opened his eyes again. Every night he would see them, they were but children, in a different world they probably would have been stars or famous athletes each and every one of them, but here they wouldn't. He had taken that future away from them after all.
A knock startled him awake, cold sweat lined his face, and his back hurt, the second one was probably because he had fallen asleep on the floor. Percy heard the knock again and groaned, "who is it?" he asked as he sat up.
"It Jason," came a quick reply.
"What do you need?" Percy asked.
"It's dinner time, everybody else already left."
Percy looked around for the clock and noticed it was indeed time for dinner. Sighing he stood "I'll be out in a minute," he called, pulling off his shirt. "Don't wait for me, I'll meet you guys there," he called when he noticed that Jason had not moved.
He heard Jason sigh, "alright, just make sure you're there before dinner ends this time, you missed lunch," he heard him say.
Percy laughed, "you're not my mom," he called as he heard Jason's footsteps go down the hall towards the door.
Silence filled the room as Percy heard the door shut behind Jason. He sighed before grabbing his favorite shirt. Predictably it was blue, but what he loved about it was that it had pictures of the blue donuts and cookies his mom made in her little shop. Percy smiled before pulling it on, he definitely needed to visit the old shop sometime soon, he missed his mom's food. An added bonus to that thought was that he would see Karla, the kind lady who his mother had hired to run the shop before they moved, again. Percy smiled before looking at the mirror to check his hair. As he patted it down he heard a voice before his reflection started to move.
"You look like you just fell into a ditch," it said.
Percy chuckled, "I'm trying to fix my hair, so get out of my mirror."
"I just wanted to check in man, no need to be so hostile" his reflection laughed.
Percy smiled, "I'm good," he smiled.
His reflection narrowed his eyes, "you found her didn't you?" he asked.
Percy nodded.
"Alright!" his reflection exclaimed, joy displayed on his face like a child meeting Santa for the first time. "So, how did it go?" he asked after a moment.
Percy sighed, "I knew you would ask that. Tell the others that it went well."
The reflection grinned, "that's good, I'll go now, let you finish fixing your hair, it looks like a pigsty after all."
"Thanks for that," Percy laughed.
"One last thing before I go," the reflection said.
"What?"
"Sparky told me to tell you that you should use his abilities at some point this week or they will get rusty.
Percy sighed, "tell him I'll work them a bit tomorrow," he muttered.
The reflection nodded before stilling up. Sighing Percy ran his hands through his hair in an attempt to smooth down the mess of locks that splayed from his scalp grabbing a brush from the table after the first few failed attempts.
Several attempts later he had finally managed to corral his hair into something sort of neat, and by that, he meant a sort of purposefully messy look. Sighing once more he finally put the brush down before looking into the mirror once more than walking out of his room.
As he walked down the hall to the entrance he walked into something fleshy. Immediately his senses went into high alert, his pen in hand and ready to be uncapped.
"Who's there?" he asked. Before he felt something knock into the back of his knees causing him to crumple to the floor. Quickly he rolled over before he felt someone sit on his stomach and press a knife to his throat.
"Don't move," came Annabeth Chase's voice. As he watched her pull off her Yankees hat.
Percy sighed in relief, "oh it's you, why are you here?" he asked.
"I wanted to apologize to you in private," she said, her eyes boring holes into his face. "At least I did until I heard you talking to someone."
"What do you mean?" Percy asked as innocently as he could.
Annabeth pressed the knife harder into his neck before staring him right in the eyes and saying, "cut the shit, I think we both know that I'm not stupid enough to fall for that."
"It was worth a shot," Percy muttered, before sighing. "I was talking to myself," he said after a moment.
Annabeth didn't break eye contact, even as she relaxed the pressure on the knife. "What do you mean?" she asked.
"I swear on the Styx that that means exactly what I said," he replied.
Her eyes widened as thunder roared in the distance, "oh," she whispered.
Percy laughed.
"I'm so sorry, said standing before putting her hand out to help him up.
Percy grinned as he stood. "I don't blame you for being suspicious of me," he chuckled. 'Though your knife wouldn't have been able to hurt me any away," he added after a moment.
"Why not?" she asked as Percy started towards the door motioning for her to follow.
I bear a version of the curse of Achilles," Percy replied. "My mortal point isn't even on my body," he chuckled.
"What does that even mean?" Annabeth asked. "How can you not have a mortal point?"
"I have one, it's just not on my body, my life is anchored by my soulmate's life," he replied.
"So if your soulmate dies you will too?"
Percy nodded.
"Who's your soulmate?" Annabeth asked.
Percy locked eyes with her, his smile reaching his own before saying, "I'm not telling you. Now come on we need to hurry, dinner is almost over."
Annabeth sighed, "alright, let's go."

Review plz
I'm not sure when the next chapter will be out, high school is killing me.
Also, did ya see what I did there with the dead demigods? Yeah, that wasn't my idea, it was my little sisters, I asked her for names and she told me to just use famous people. So I did.
