New chapter...

plz don't sue me rick

Percy knew something was up the moment he pulled open the door to the mess hall. He looked around and saw Chiron standing on the podium. Behind him, seated in three different thrones of gilded metals and combinations of different materials sat different beings. Beings he could only assume to be gods. Especially considering the fact that his father was sitting in the middle.

"GrEaT, yOu guYs aRe hEre," he groaned aloud in a sarcastic tone.

Tension thick enough to be cut with a knife filled the air instantly as every pair of eyes in the large hall were trained on him like laser pointers.

A moment passed then another as fear and anxiety coursed visibly through the bodies of all present in the room. Even Annabeth, whom Percy had figured was fearless, had frozen as Percy walked down towards the table he had sat on the previous night. Suddenly laughter broke the silence, a deep chuckle followed by a snicker and then another chuckle as the gods broke into laughter.

The tension disappeared, instantly confusion taking its place as Percy took his seat at the head of the floor twelve table. Looking around from his seat, Percy caught Carter's eye and grinned before giving him a slight nod.

"How are you still alive?" Carter mouthed to him causing Percy to laugh.

"The gods like me," he mouthed back before looking around a bit more. He only had to look for a few seconds before his eyes locked onto another familiar face. "Magnus?" Percy mouthed.

Magnus looked at him wide-eyed, "is that really you Percy?" he mouthed back as the room began to settle.

Percy nodded, he had met Magnus Chase once when he was on the hunt for a hydra that had reportedly been spotted in the area. They had tracked it down together and ended up finding it holed up in the same cave as the 3 fox monsters or whatever Magnus had been hunting down.

Finally, the gods had calmed down enough to speak, as such Percy heard his father call for quiet and pulled himself from his memories.

"As Perseus so kiNdLy noted, we are here. We are not here however to give out any quests or missions. We are he to give forth a challenge of sorts," Poseidon began before pausing.

"It has come to our attention that this year is the final year of school for some extremely exceptional students," the feline voice of the cat goddess Bast continued shortly before allowing another god to continue. (Percy was totally guessing that it was Bast, probably.)

"As such, we believe that it is time for a tournament," finished Odin. (Percy assumed this one was Odin because he had an eyepatch.)

As Odin completed his last word the hall erupted into chaos as students all began to ask questions together.

"Quiet!," Chirons voice rang out through the hall and instantly everyone shut up. "If the gods present is okay with it I would like to explain the rules of said tournament."

Percy's father and the other two gods nodded together and Chiron began to explain.

"The tournament will be as follows, students of the age of sixteen and a half or older may enter into the tournament either solo or in groups. For the first three rounds, the groups will participate in a battle royale of sorts, each round will last until a certain percentage of teams are left. Beyond that cannot explain any further. Teams may sign up for a week starting tomorrow morning. Also, teams may only be made up of willing participants," Chiron explained the gods nodding behind him. When he finished, Chiron looked at the gods.

Poseidon rose to answer the unasked question, "in regards to things Chiron may have missed," he stared, "with regards to Perseus Jackson," he said, causing Percy's eyes to lock onto his and all other eyes to lock onto him, "he may only participate as a solo player."

Percy sighed, "Oh thank the gods" he muttered under his breath.

"One last thing before we take our leave," Poseidon continued. "Good fortune over you all," he said before beginning to glow. Everyone averted their eyes as Poseidon and the other gods went supernova.

The hall was quiet enough that you would hear a pin drop. A moment passed then another, finally, Percy decided to break the silence. "Well that was unexpected," he laughed.

Immediately the hall broke into chaos once more as people bustled around. Even shouts could not be heard of the clamor as students rushed around trying to make teams as fast as possible.

...

sorry bout this one it's kinda shit. I couldn't figure out what to write for this chapter so I just pucked up as much as I could and beat it until it made sense, somewhat.

Also, what do you think about my written sarcasm? I hope you think it's funny. I'm probably gonna use it more.
