Percy walked towards Chiron as the chaos in the mess hall raged around him.

"So I guess I have to register as a solo player,'' he stated upon reaching Chiron. The centaur nodded before writing Percy's name down.

"The gods tend to dislike cheek Perseus," Chiron said as Percy turned away.

Percy laughed, "what are they gonna do to me about it?" he asked before walking back to his table. As he reached his seat the room fell quiet. "What?" he asked, looking around.

"They are waiting for you to sit," Annabeth's voice came from his side.

Percy sat as the room burst back into chaos before looking over to Annabeth, "why did they wait for me to sit?" he asked, making sure to highlight his confusion.

Annabeth looked at him like he was stupid for a moment before answering. "The elections last night were elections for dorm head, you are now the student responsible for our dorm. It's obvious that they give you respect."

"I didn't sign up for that," Percy exclaimed quietly.

"Well you didn't exactly veto the decision either," Thalia interjected from the other side of the table.

"I wasn't exactly with it last night either," he replied.

"Well it's not like you can really do anything about it anymore," Annabeth said.

"But I-,"

"And with what lord Poseidon said just now in regards to you being solo in a team event, you can kiss being seen as a regular captain goodbye," she added, cutting him off.

Percy sighed, "I suppose that I've been on my own for a while now," he muttered. "So what now," he asked aloud.

"Now we wait for everyone to group off," Jason said. "Speaking of, we should all probably either pair up or go solo," he added after a second.

"It seems like a good idea for all of us to be pairs," Annabeth said.

"What about dinner?" Percy asked. The second he finished his question, food materialized on all the tables. Percy stared at the plate that had just appeared in front of him "what the fuck just happened," he asked no one in particular.

"That would be the nymphs saying dinner is served," she said with a chuckle.

Percy looked at her in astonishment. "This is dinner?" he asked, looking at his plate of vegetables in disbelief.

"I think you have mine," Piper chuckled, passing over a plate layered with an assortment of different meats. "I do like to assume that I'm the only vegan here after all."

"You're right, that totally looks more my style," Percy said hungrily grabbing the plate and placing it down in front of him. He grabbed a fork before noticing that everyone was getting up and heading over to a bonfire that had been started in a fireplace. "Ahh, you guys do the offerings," he muttered under his breath. As he followed suit and dumped a small portion of his brisket and pulled beef into the fire. Upon returning to his seat he looked at Annabeth.

"What," she asked, curiously as he studied her face.

"Nothing," he muttered, turning his head away quickly. He figured she probably knew something was up but he couldn't tell her yet.

Dinner went by faster than he had expected. One minute he was eating his food and chatting with everyone the next the food was gone.

Once the hall had quieted down once more Chiron stood.

"Due to this new tournament, there will be no after-dinner activities this year, use your new free time to train," Chiron stated before clapping his hands. At his handclap, the doors of the mess hall opened once more and people began to flood out.

This took way longer than I thought it would. it's probably the copious porn I've been watching and reading. that or the lack of motivation I've had for the last couple of months.

I don't know when the next chapter will be out, sorry in advance.
