Sup y'all. It's been a hot minute, for that I apologize. Last week of the grading period has me dead inside and out, and then I was hit with some kind of illness that floored me. Short version: been one hell of a long week. Anyway, here's another chapter that's very boring and shitty. I don't own Twilight. Leave a review, unless they're hate I like reading them.

Side note, the stupid freaking extra spaces in between paragraphs at random intervals seriously pisses me off and I've got no idea how to get rid of them. Sorry.

Three boys are hanging around out front.

"You'd be the Kensi we should have heard about from Paul right?" I nod confused.

"Jared." He introduces himself. "This is Quil and that's Seth."

Now I remember Seth Clearwater. A soft smile graces my lips.

"Hey Seth. I remember when you were fun sized."

Seth snorts with a cheeky smile but it drops. "What did you do?" He demands.

I glance at the others. "Vampire at the beach, I handled it. The other wolves are watching the corpse burn. I had to distract her from your imprints."

I hold up my hand. "Dani inside?"

They don't answer. "Oh Embry us going to murder us." Jared whispers.

"He was there." I answer, confusion evident on my face. "And why would he kill you? You didn't cut my hand open to distract the vamp. Where'd Dani go?"

"Inside." Jared says inhaling while sharing a look with Seth and Quil.

"Jared. Kim's fiancé right? How is she?" I ask walking up the front porch to the door.

"She's fine." Jared says. "I'm going to owe you and your sister for years and years. She's a little shaken up though."

I smile faintly. "Expected. Can one of you get the door? I'd rather not get Emily's door full of blood."

"You better get that cleaned before Embry sees it. Are you alright?" Seth asks, opening the door for me.

"Oh yeah." I answer with a laugh, washing my hands off in the sink. That doesn't stop the blood flow from my left hand however, but it does wash out any particulates, just not the bacteria. "I can heal it myself later, I just need it disinfected. I'll do that after I check on Dani."

"What happened to your neck?" Seth asks.

"She had me in a choke hold." I answer quickly, glancing away.

"And Embry?"

Third time's the charm.

"Why is it only Embry you all seem to think is concerned about me? Where's Dani again?"

"Kensi!" Dani's pained scream jerks my attention and rattles my chest.

I brush past Seth and follow the sounds of her pained heartbeat into the living room.

Sam is standing over her trying to console her and calm her down.

"Kens. Are you okay?" She pants squirming on the couch.

"Fine, fine, fine." I assure her. I lock my fingers around the worn out leather strap that holds the sword right now, and kneel beside her.

"Kensi, did you get her?" I nod, grabbing my knife from the sheath on my thigh and flick it around my fingers.

"Ribs? How are they?"

Dani groans.

"I'm cutting your shirt. Cover your eyes if bruises make you squeamish." I announce to the room. Outside my keen ears pick up the other wolves as they come in. For some stupid, stinking reason, Embry's prominent scent is the only scent that stands out aside from common werewolf.

Dani must see my irritated look because she whimpers, her fingernails aggressively biting into my arm.

"Please don't be mad." Dani cries.

"I'm not mad." I assure her in a gentle voice.

"DANI!" I hear Paul's voice cry. "What's wrong!?"

"Cutting your shirt okay, Dani?" I ask my knife hovering under the hem of her shirt, the soft material soft against my fingers. My left hand still bleeds out, from around the hilt of my dagger, and warms my skin.

Dani nods crying. Tears splashing off her face. She wasn't hysterical at the beach, but I'm guessing after sprinting home for the car, she made whatever damage there was worse.

With a wince I slice through the thin material of her shirt. Paul takes the space beside me and Sam growls at him.

I glare at him but ignore him. Jacob hovers behind me as I pull away the edges of her cut shirt.

"Oh. Well. Well shit." I whisper. Dani sobs clutching roughly at her black locks.

"Dani, it's alright." Jacob soothes. His voice calms her and I stare in bewilderment. Jacob grabs her fingers, untangling them from her hair, and plays with her fingertips as a distraction.

Paul growls. "I'm not done with you Jacob. Or Embry."

Embry growls from somewhere behind me.

"Hold your breath Dani." I forewarn her gently. I brace myself as I press my fingertips against the large discoloration of her midsection. Dark purple, almost black, bruises with uneven edges indicating internal bleeding from something glare at me.

Dani unleashes a blood curdling scream that makes every wolf in the room flinch in pain.

"Dani! It's alright!" I say as my own eyes sting with my sister's pain. I can't stand it.

Dani sobs as I press in another area.

"Four broken ribs, already healed where they're not supposed to." I explain. "The bone regrows the outermost layer first when rapidly healing, and that's already regrown apparently. Meaning the bones will have to be reset. The ribs have punctured her internal organs causing substantial internal bleeding so it seems."

"Should we call Carlisle?" Sam asks as Jacob sighs in sympathy. I remember when Billy told me about Jake's bones being broken in the newborn fight a few years back.

"No." Dani whimpers. "Not him."

"Dani it's this or you bleed to death. I can heal your organs without an issue but I can't break your bones again. Carlisle needs to do that."

I lean over her to look into her amber eyes. The heel of my bleeding hand, where the blood is dried or not as abundant, holds my weight despite how badly it hurts. It's nothing compared to Dani. She rests her head against my thigh.

"Don't bring vampires over the treaty line. Don't bring them around imprints." Dani cries.

"No shit." I hiss.

"And you're going to move her somehow?" Sam asks.

I scowl. "I'm thinking, Sam. If you trust Carlisle enough to invite him into your home where there are currently six imprints, be my guest. In the meantime I am going to figure out how to get her to him."

"That isn't happening." Jacob says. "I don't care what we do, but Dani and you are not going into the vampires' den, not without us there."

"The Cullens have proven themselves honorable." Sam says, looking at Jake. "They are here with Renesmee frequently anyways."

Seth smiles softly.

"Renesmee?" Dani whimpers. "Why is there a new vampire around your imprints?" She groans in pain and squeezes Jake's hand so hard something pops. "I haven't heard of her before."

Sam sighs. "Nessie is half human half vampire. She's Bella's daughter, who was pregnant with a vampire child while human. The pregnancy killed her, and Bella became a vampire. And then Seth imprinted on Nessie."

Dani and I stare at each other in shock.

"Classy." I murmur.

"No. Not Cullen." Dani murmurs squeezing her eyes closed.

"Why not?" Jacob asks in a soft and gentle voice. "I had the same problem you did and I was back on my feet after a few days."

"Regardless of who breaks your ribs, it took two weeks to regrow my pinky bones after you slammed them in the vault door, rib bones are going to take a hair longer." I answer in an authoritative tone.

Dani whimpers and I get it.

"Damn." I whisper. "Honey there was nothing he could've done for dad." I assure her brushing her hair off her face. Her skin is slicked with a sheen of sweat. "He died on the way to Carlisle, Dani. He can't bring the dead back to life any better than we can."

"What?" Paul whispers.

I don't glance at him to answer. "The mate of that vampire I killed on the beach is three things. One, the brother of Morrow, the vampire I killed the other day, the mate of the she-vamp I killed on the beach, and the vampire that killed our father, Paul. Dani and I hunted his popsicle ass across Asia before losing him in the Polynesian Islands."

Dani sobs but I don't know if it's because of the pain in her ribs or the painful memories.

"And it's worse. Morrow's entire family was gathered already to avenge his death, and now they're going to want to avenge his brother's mate's death too." I explain cautiously. An eerie and dangerous silence hangs onto the atmosphere. "They have some 18 fighters with growling numbers according to Katherine's memories."

"Dani, we need Carlisle." I whisper to her. "I am not going to try to break your ribs and possibly make it worse."

Dani nods and Paul whips around. "Call him Seth." Seth nods, holding his phone up to his ear. He was already waiting with the contact up.

"Dad didn't die of a heart attack?" Paul whispers.

I snort. "No. He didn't. Years of dodging fate and vampires caught up with him and Tift finally did the deed and beat him within an inch of his life. We were in Carlisle's driveway when he died. They did everything they could but we took him home, set the scene using our elements, and called it a heart attack. Only the elders knew."

"You knew I was a wolf, why didn't you tell me?" Paul cries in outrage.

"We assumed." Dani whispers painfully, choking. "We assumed you wouldn't believe us, hell you could hardly give us the time of day the three weeks we lived with you."

Paul looks away guiltily, and I feel no sympathy.

"Saying sorry isn't going to help." He says. "Is it?"

"No." Dani coughs. Then I smell it. Her blood. On her breath.

"I'm going to put you on your side, for the sake of not choking on your own blood." I say as I quickly shift her around. Seconds later Emily returns with a small trash can that she encourages Dani to spit the blood into instead of swallowing it.

Outside I can hear Rachel trying to calm down her daughter.

"Paul. Outside." I whisper.

"If you're about to throw me out because you're mad at me, I get it but you're crazy if you think I'm leaving her like this."

I sigh. "I'm pissed, Paul. But your child is demanding your presence. I'll come get you if something happens."

I look at Jake, who talks quietly to Dani. And then Paul's aggression towards Jacob clicks.

"And you don't get to give Jacob a hard time." I hiss quietly. "He can't help it any more than you can."

Paul's eyes widen. "Kensi, how did you-"

"Jacob never really went out of his way for her before. He never even knew her name until today. Explain to me why he suddenly cares so much about her well-being if he didn't imprint on her." My voice is low and strained because I want to scream at Paul, he must take me for a fool to think I wouldn't realize. And I know they take the honor of telling their imprints they imprinted on them very seriously, so I keep my voice low, so as not to deprive Jacob of his right.

Paul's mouth opens and closes making him look like a flabbergasted grouper.

"I won't tell her either." I mutter. "Assuming you don't give Jacob a difficult time, she won't find out."

Paul nods slowly before turning. "You're dangerous you know?"

I shrug. "Comes with the territory. I'm observant."

Paul nods, glancing at Jacob before walking out.

Jacob locks eyes with me, his lips parted in shock.

Very subtly, I nod to him.

Outside, Rachel's voice fills with relief as Paul steps out of the house onto the porch.

Dani chokes again. "I can't breathe." I listen to her heartbeat for a few seconds, taking her pulse with two fingers, leaving a bloody smear on the side of her neck.

I lean over her and look at her.

"Traumatic pneumothorax." I question to myself quietly.

I glance over at the massive first aid kit beside me.

"Emily, how advanced is your first aid kit?" I ask quietly.

"Carlisle donated it to us."

Hospital grade. Perfect.

"You're doing this again? Carlisle could be here any minute!" Dani disputes.

"He told me thirty minutes." Seth reluctantly admits.

I look at Dani before she nods.

"Thanks sis."

"What's going on?" Jacob asks.

"Dani's lungs are filling with blood and she's struggling to breathe. Not only that, but what she is breathing is only filling her thoracic cavity, putting pressure on her chest." I explain.

I dig through the jump bag and find a roll of gauze and a 14 gage needle. "And then you insert the needle into the cavity to release pressure. Done it a hundred times."

"Four." Dani groans.

"Number one being on myself." I answer. I take the gauze and wrap my left hand up, watching the blood quickly soak through the gauze. But it catches most of it. I rip the gauze with my teeth before grabbing the needle.

"Hold your breath Dani." I murmur quietly. I use as much force as I can just to get the needle through her thick and mostly impermeable skin.

Immediately Dani inhales, able to breathe, aside from the heavy rattle in her chest.

"Better?" I ask.

Dani nods as I stroke the hair on her forehead with my clean, or at least it's cleaner than the one wrapped in bloody gauze. Slowly, I watch as her heartbeat slips and slows, as the pain pulls her into unconsciousness.
