Summary: Erik, and a few others agree to a scavenger hunt. With me of course! With the lists of items, they set off to America for a week or two. Insanity and tragedy will ensue.( I borrowed Lady P's muses for this chapter)

CHAPTER ONE

"Gerik! Kerik! Lerik! I need a portal!" the authoress, Emily, yelled, her left eye weirdly twitching. Gerik sat up from reading his manga, while Kerik and Lerik paused their game of scrabble. Gerik yawned, and looked at the other two lazily. They both resumed their game, but gave up after Emily took away the board. With a glare from Kerik and Lerik, and a satisfied smile from Emily, they decided to get up.

"Where and when?" Gerik asked Emily.

"The only place I ever go," Emily replied. She was going to see Erik, the Phantom of the Opera. 2004 movie. Approximately 15 minutes after Erik's rejection. She had an idea. For a scavenger hunt. But she would need some players first. Which would mean she would need to have a few words with the characters. As her muses slowly made the portal, she made a phone call.

"Matt," she said in a singsong voice, "I have an idea. Yes, yes, it involves Phantom. Good! See you in 5!" And with that, she hung up. Matt was her friend, and fellow author. He supposedly lived in Iowa, but what no one knew was that he actually just lived down the street from Emily. (Um…only true for this story.) He was rather good about updating his stories, and liked to crank up Overture. Which made him a little weird, but no weirder than said authoress. He arrived just before Emily was ready to jump into the portal.

"YAY!" He said, as he came in the door. "I've always wanted to meet Erik!" But the authoress scowled at him.

"You're late!" She said, but couldn't hold her frown. She immediately started cracking up. She laughed at almost everything. She gave him a rundown on her idea, and he started cackling evilly. Emily stared to glare at him to get him to shut up. Just as they were about to walk into the portal, Emily's little sister, Aly, came running up to her. Emily and Matt were about 15ish, and Em's little sister was 10. Aly was the biggest 10-year-old-phanatic ever. So, of course Emily was going to let her come. Aly was the Leroux expert. She may have been only 10, but she'd read Gaston Leroux's Phantom over a hundred times. Emily was happy to let her come.

Going through the portal was always an interesting experience. It was white and black flashing lights, and really swirly. It was kind of the whole 'Twilight Zone' thing. Each portal lasted only around 30 seconds to a minute. Their mission was to persuade the Phantom characters to participate in a scavenger hunt. Two teams of six would participate, and Aly would stay at home, waiting for the winner to come back to the house. She was, all in all, the judge.

Their entrance into their destination was rather ungraceful. Yes, they all fell out. But it's a bit hard to descend gracefully after you've traveled over 100 years into the past, and onto a different continent. And so they went, into the world of another, all for the sake of not being bored…

Thanks for suffering through this. I just wrote it on a whim. Cameos accepted, for the teams of people making life hard for the participants, and commentaters on the showdown. I will take 1 cameo for each team, then a few for the other positions. I don't have enough characters. .;;
