Sup y'all! Been a minute. I've only got a few chapters left to post though so you've only got to put up with my awfully inconsistent uploading habits. Here's another chapter for you guys, and don't forget to leave a review, favorite or follow the story!

DANI

I look around at Emily, Kim, and Rachel with a smirk plastered to my face. I can't get rid of it. Thr excitement in Kensi's voice was a sure sign that something good was about to happen.

I kiss Mackenzie Danielle on the forehead before slipping out the door. It takes only minutes to get home, crawling into my bedroom window that I crawled out of.

I grab a pair of cyan leggings, brown boots, and a long-sleeved dress with a brown, orange, cyan, rust red, and ivory floral pattern. I dress quickly shoving a dagger into my boots, and strapping my sword around my waist to give definition to my waist. I tie back my black waves, Dutch fishtail braiding a few strands of hair back, before combining them down the back of my head. I curl my hair and put on makeup so I blend into the scene at Wellington Café.

Finally I grab my cargo pants, and gray long sleeve, with my black work boots, along with some more weapons before loading them into the trunk of the Porsche. I toss about a dozen pairs of shorts into the trunk, along with some of Kensi's clothes in case Leah needs them. I'm too short for Leah to wear my clothes.

It stings that Kensi and Leah have gotten so close while I've been missing my wolf. Kensi isn't emotionally available enough to connect with me, so I turned to Emily, Rach, and Kim. Maybe it's partially my fault Kens and I drifted apart.

But I know that Kensi and Leah are basically the same person, so it's unsurprising they drifted to each other.

I grab the massive first aid kit from under the kitchen sink, tossing that into the trunk of my car, before grabbing the case of water from the floor of the garage, and tossing that into the trunk too. I slam the hatch closed, and speed off towards Seattle.

Listening to Kensi talk the past few days has told me that she can sense that Embry is in Seattle as she gets closer to said city. She can feel the pull of the imprint as she gets closer to the city. But once she's there she can't pinpoint where he is exactly.

If it were the case, then we would've found them by now. We drove Emily all through town hoping to strike gold and she would find Sam.

We drove around the town with some of the wolves phased in hoping that they'd pick up the thoughts of the guys but somehow we couldn't.

But then we discovered the Micah's power is jamming telekinesis of all forms, mostly because it's the reverse of the power she had as an Elemental Guardian.

I take a deep breath turning the radio up a little bit to drown out my nerves. My sister likes her country garbage, I'll kill for some Pink.

I park a few blocks away at the Starbucks and walk down the street with my sword banging against my calf. My purse bumps against my hip as I walk to the café and take a seat in the back of the room so I can watch everyone and everything.

I order some food, and watch the parking meter outside.

I text Kensi while I wait.

So, if I see her what do I do? Tag her car or tag her? I ask.

Kensi responds immediately, telling me that she's probably knee deep in her sixth sundae at Dairy Queen. Tag her car so we know when she's coming here.

I nod and reply with 'okay' as I move outside.

And now we wait. I sip on my iced tea and eat my delightful beef and cheddar club while I wait for Mara.

At exactly five till six, the old beat-up blue beetle from the sixties that isn't even safe to drive parks at the same parking meter I've been watching for almost an hour.

Mara gets up, the wind blowing through her blond hair. She looks around curiously, cautiously, fear burning in her brown orbs.

Finally she closes the door and swipes her card at the meter before walking into the diner.

I leave enough money to pay the bill with tip before exiting the diner.

I root through my purse, collecting a tracker, and then tagging her car with the Overwatch Spray.

I hit the front fender with the spray, and then slip the tracker under the back bumper.

I walk off down the street without a care in the world.

Once I'm around the corner, heart pounding against my ribs I text Kensi.

She's eating her fill of Cheddar soup and twice-baked potato. Car is tagged.

Kensi's response is immediate.

Kay. Sit on her car and her for a while. Don't let her out of your sight.

I nod despite Kensi not ever going to see it.

Got it. I'm going across the street to spend more money at the Barnes and Noble.

Kensi responds again. Nerd. At least get you some Starbucks to tie you through.

I roll my eyes. Well of course.

I shut off the screen and enter my personal sanctuary waiting for something to happen.

I purchase a couple of books, browsing from sections where I can clearly see her car. I buy a few drinks at the Starbucks located inside. Starbucks meets books store is the best way to live. I could live in the store. Books and food provide everything I'll ever need.

I keep my phone awake and beside me as I watch the café across the street.

One particular instance that I happened to glance over at Mara's spot in the diner, I see her receive a phone call.

I watch as she hurries to shovel the rest of her twice-baked potato and drinks the rest of her soup instead of using the spoon.

I quickly call Kensi.

"Better be good. I'm on my fifth Reese's Peanut Buttercup blizzard." She greets.

"Only five?" Leah cries from the background. "I'm on my seventeenth! At least!"

"What time does Mara show up at DQ?" I ask.

"Seven." Kensi answers. "Right after the café. I expect she'll leave in about fifteen minutes why?"

"Because she's leaving 15 minutes early." I explain. "She just got a phone call, shoveled the rest of the food in, and now she's paying. Heading to her car."

"Follow her." Kensi orders. "Don't let her out of your sight."

I nod grabbing my books and drinks before running down the sidewalk to the actual Starbucks down the street and get into my car.

I rush back to see Mara pulling out. I park for a few moments until she turns the corner.

Then I get back into it. I follow her down the busy and crowded streets of Chinatown.

Kensi's ringtone screams through my car's Bluetooth. I answer it.

"She's heading away from me." Kensi says. "Leah and I are tracking her on the app so if you lose her, that's alright. We've still got her."

"Not bloody likely." I growl as I let her make a turn and then follow her through it. I stay about six cars behind her, and give her plenty of room to be inconspicuous.

I grab my phone out of my purse while driving and open up the same app in case I lose her.

Mara puts the pedal to the medal, driving recklessly through a school zone. Something I'll refuse to do.

"She's doing 55 in a 25. I can't keep up with her and not cause an accident." I explain.

"Let her go. It looks like she's going to Greek Town. Cut her off on John Street going onto 256." Kensi suggests.

I nod whipping out of the school zone's restrictions and towards the shitty neighborhoods of Greek Town.

Mara's blue, dangerous, not-safe-for-the-road, beetle zooms down the road, slowing down to make a right hand turn.

Seeing this, I slam on the gas, charging through the dirty puddles and who knows what else that litters the alley's hard and cold ground.

I whip out into her way, blocking off the very slow and rare traffic on John Street. No one has any reason to go down John Street, it only leads to vacant buildings and condemned structures that aren't safe to be in.

The brakes on Mara's beetle screech as she tries to prevent herself from slamming into my Porsche.

I have to get out through the window because her blue beetle is too close for me to get out of my car without chipping the paint.

I get out of my car NASCAR style and grab my phone as Mara takes off at a dead sprint past my car.

"Kensi can you have Leah come get my car and meet me wherever she's going. Track my phone. I'll try to tag Mara."

I grab the Overwatch Spray from my car before slinging my bow and arrows over my shoulders.

Mara trips in the long floor-length gown she's wearing but it only slows her a little bit.

She forces herself to keep running but I'm faster.

I get close enough and I undo the cap on the overwatch spray.

I hurl it at her back and watch the clear liquid soak into her dark green dress, staining it an even darker green.

Mara screams in pain and agony as the overwatch spray burns her skin painfully, but it doesn't stop her.

"I can see Mara." Leah says. "I'll get your car and find you guys. Kensi will track you, Dani."

"Got it." I answer chasing after her. My boots splash muddy water up my legs, but it only coats my boots in filth, avoiding my leggings.

Mara is in good shape, I'll give her that. I'm a little out of it after spending the past two weeks moping around.

I grab my dagger out of my boot mid-step, almost tripping myself in the process as I sprint after her.

Mara is clearly familiar with the area as she ducks into crevices I wouldn't have known were there if I weren't mere inches behind her.

Mara runs and runs until I finally stop, panting. She's not going to retreat to her lair with me chasing after her.

I pull out my phone and see the blue blip on a map sprinting through. I stand here panting. Hands on my knees I watch the blue blip. She's zig-zagging to avoid me, but I can see her clearly. Finally she stops running.

I call Kensi.

"I'm taking to the rooftops to find her. She seems to have stopped."

"Got it. Almost to your car." Kensi says. "Wait for me."

"Yes ma'am." I answer grabbing the fire escape above my head and scaling to the top. I'm well aware that I could've just flown up there but I need the warm up.

I leap over the rooftops, jumping over the short distances left by the alleyways.

I hate that I'm going to have to fight in a dress, if it comes to that. But really, the dress is so short it's more like a long shirt really.

If nothing else I can always just lose the dress and fight in the black sports bra I'm wearing.

I'd rather not.

Mara's blip indicates that she's inside a massive warehouse. Dim and dusty light filters into the alleyway through the crack in a massive garage door. Dusty and weathered windows allow some yellowed light into the alley. The building is about the same size as a Port Angeles' High School's gymnasium. Windows make giant pyramids at three different places on the flat roof of the large warehouse.

Behind me Kensi's Camaro parks. I leap off the roof and walk over to her.

"What the hell are you wearing?" She hisses.

"I didn't have time to change." I hiss back. "Look I think our best options are the windows in the ceiling. Mara knows we're coming, and she won't think to protect the windows."

Kensi hesitates. "Sounds good. Got my second uniform back here if you're interested."

I nod changing in the alleyway, pulling on her gray shirt but leaving the leggings and the boots. It's not a fashion statement but it's better.

Kensi and I gear up together, tightening buckles on our quivers, belts, holsters and sheaths. She attaches a coiled rope to her hip, stuffing knives and blades and all kinds of other sharp pointy throwing things into her pockets.

I take what I know I can use, which isn't much.

Finally we both grab grappling hooks from the truck of her Camaro.

"Got enough sharp pointy objects there chief?" I mock her.

She glowers at me. "Let's get our boys back. Kensi raises her arm, aiming her grappling hook at the rooftop of the warehouse. It catches latching on to the lip that the edge of the roof makes. Then she uses it to practically fly up to the roof in seconds. With a shiver of excitement, I shake the nerves off. I raise my arm and do the same.

When I do, Kensi's back is to me and she's frozen. The sharp angles of her back through her shirt tell me she's pissed about something.

I stand beside and look down into the building.

The five wolves sit in one massive kennel together. Around their necks, similarly to my dream, are massive training collars. Hanging around the kennels are dozens of horse leads, braided together for maximum strength.

"Oh hell no." I whisper.

I look at Kensi who looks downright murderous.

"Kensi?" I ask quietly. "Don't take them all. I want to kill her."

Kensi looks at me shocked. "What?"

"Micah." I whisper. "Mara is yours, but Micah. I want to kill her. I'll cut her head off with one of my arrows."

Kensi's eyes flicker. "Dani are you sure-?"

"Yes." I snap. "They put my boyfriend and brother in dog collars and are treating them like animals. I'm positive that I want to be the one to kill Micah."

Kensi nods before uncoiling the rope from around her waist. She makes an anchor around an air conditioning unit while I do the same.

Kensi wraps the rope around her waist a few times before nodding to me.

She turns around and slams her foot through the glass. Immediately, the entire fixture shatters into a thousand pieces before tinkling dozens of feet to the concrete floor.

Kensi nods as she and I leap backwards over the edge of the window.

I hold the rope between my knees as I notch and arrow to survey the area around me.

My eyes land on a red-eyed version of Mara. I line up the shaft of the arrow with her neck and light that arrow on fire. As soon as I make eye contact with Micah, I release the arrow. Wind whistles through my ears and hair as I utilize the drafty warehouse to propel the arrow forward through the air.

It severs Micah's neck, cutting her head clean off while lighting both halves of her on fire.

All around us catwalks criss-cross the ceiling.

Slowly those catwalks fill with very pissed-off vampires.

"Trap." I mutter to Kensi.

Kensi nods. "Are you surprised?"

I shake my head. "Not quite."

"Ready to fall back?" Kensi mocks.

I reach behind me into my quiver and line up a second shot with another vampire. The vampire ignites and explodes in a column of flame as I summon fire all around me. Dozens of vampires spontaneously ignite as I look at Kensi. She stares at me in shock. Can't blame her, I've never, not once, killed a Vampire. I've refused to. But you mess with my wolf, with Jacob, and you'll see how dangerous I can be. "I'm just getting started."

Kensi nods as she presses her back against mine. "Any ideas on how to take out so many?"

"We fight dirty." I answer shortly. I ignite the end of my arrow and let it fly, cutting the head off another vampire.

"Do you see Tift?" Kensi asks as she releases another arrow.

And I don't. Honestly, I don't see him anywhere.

"No." I answer.

"I don't smell his particular stench." Kensi murmurs.

"Me neither."

I turn around so I'm facing the wolves.

"Shit, Kensi, looks like Embry's hurt."

"What!?" Kensi cries turning around to look at Embry.

"Fuck." She whimpers. I feel her head resting just above mine, her few inches of height towering over me. I can almost feel her despair as she senses Embry for the first time in two weeks. I lock eyes with Jake and hold them. He's alive. Holy shit he's alive. I can't help it but a massive shit-eating grin splits my face. Paul's wolf beside him looks at me, his tail thumping the concrete.

"Stop!"

Kensi and I freeze looking to the catwalk where Tift walks, Devan in front of him and Mara trailing behind.

"Lower your weapons or the boy gets it." Tift says.

Kensi scoffs. "You'll kill him either way."

Mara sobs. "Kensi please."

"Fuck you, Mara." Kensi growls. "Fuck you and your future children. And your mother. And your sister. And you. You and your stupid not-safe-for-the-road car. Your ugly ass. Your stupid ideals. You. Just fuck you."

"Well, you two smell delicious." Tift inhales. "Just like I remember your father tasting."

Paul growls before breaking out into a howl behind me.

I didn't even see Kensi move. She notches an arrow, lights it on fire and sent it flying through the air before I had time to register the movement.

Tift catches the arrow between two fingers but Kensi just smirks.

"Stupid move bloodsucker. Should've let it hit the wall." Her voice is a dangerously spat venom on the concrete. Her words, hissing through the air.

"What?" Tift asks.

No later than four seconds the whole arrow explodes, and Tift's entire arm comes off.

"Devan!" Mara cries, her voice cracking with hysteria. The blast displaces Devan, sending him tumbling over the catwalk towards the ground.

She dives after him, using the wind to catch him, but Kensi just shoves him up. Her eyebrow twitches with the effort of hauling a grown-ass man up off the floor using the sheer force of her mind and wind. She carries him through the hole in the glass roof, and I don't know where else.

Kensi ices the doors and windows next, dropping the temperature about a dozen degrees.

"No one is going anywhere until we're done here." Kensi growls as I leap forward to finish off Tift. He starts to reform as I light his remains on fire and engage with the other vampires.

Lighting them on fire is easy, it's how they should be fought. It isn't honorable, Kensi and I fight with honor almost all the time, but again, you steal our brothers, our family, and you will see us fight without honor.

Vampires pour in from the ceiling and the stench makes my sinuses burn painfully. Kensi and I are backed up with Mara fighting beside us.

"Don't think that because you're helping us now, you're not going to die for this." Kensi vows.

Mara doesn't answer as she swings her scythe around in a massive arc, cutting vampires in half. I release a jet of fire to burn the vampires that Mara and Kensi are leaving piled up.

"What did you do to Embry?" Kensi finally demands.

"It wasn't me." Mara admits. "It was Nathaniel. We had to take the wolves out of the individual pens because it started taking too much of my energy to keep them all electrified. Nathaniel was here to help control them."

"That's why you bought the collars and leashes!? To control them!" Kensi hollers. "They're human beings, Mara! Just like you and I! They're wolves, but they aren't mindless animals!"

Mara winces. "I know. I didn't have a choice."

Kensi's eyes bulge out of her head as she ducks under a leg that a vampire had intended to kick her in the face with. "LIKE YOU DIDN'T HAVE A CHOICE WHEN YOU DECIDED TO HARBOR A FUCKING VAMPIRE!" Kensi's voice is a roar that makes me wince and makes Sam whine. Her volume is so sharp and penetrating that Mara whimpers. "YOU DIDN'T HAVE A FUCKING CHOICE! DON'T GIVE ME THAT FUCKING BULLSHIT MARA! I KNOW DAMN FUCKING WELL YOU HAD A FUCKING CHOICE! YOU COULD'VE TOLD YOUR SISTER TO FUCK OFF! COULD'VE PROTECTED YOUR BOYFRIEND A LITTLE BETTER! COULD'VE REPORTED YOUR SISTER WHEN SHE WAS FIRST TURNED! DO THE HUMAN FUCKING THING AND KILL HER!" Tears are flying off Kensi's face. Hot, and angry tears. Her voice is cold and dangerously venomous as she lashes out at Mara.

Mara's eyes widen in shock and horror. "Would you kill Dani if she were turned!"

"Hell yes I would!" Kensi snarls before throwing a flaming vampire corpse at Mara. She throws it to the side and glares at Kensi.

"If one of these monsters were to bite your sister you would kill her right now?"

"She wouldn't have to." I snarl at Mara. "Kensi and I are immune to vampire venom, and you know it."

Kensi nods before grabbing another vampire and snapping it's head off over her knee. "And you know damn fucking well I would if push came to shove."

She throws the corpse into the flames separating Kensi and Mara angrily. Smoke and the overwhelming scent of burning leech overrun my senses as I throw vampire after vampire into the dozens of fires that Kensi and Mara have started.

"You're spineless!" Mara hollers. "You wouldn't have the guts to do it!"

Kensi freezes before lunging at Mara.

"You're the fucking coward here Mara!" Kensi hollers. She tosses her bow away from her, and I watch it hit the kennel fences that the wolves are locked behind.

"You're the fucking bitch that's afraid of Nathaniel!" Mara growls.

"You're the fucking bitch that got so fucking attached to a stupid vampire!" Kensi growls grabbing a handful of Mara hair and flinging her down on the ground a few feet behind her. Mara's dress tears and flames leap up the hem of her dress burning it away. Mara quickly puts the fire out but more leeches swarm inside.

"You're the one who was so fucking afraid of me finding you." Kensi snarls. "You're the one who was so terrified of what I was going to do to you when I found you. You're the one who was afraid for your life when you almost killed Embry the first time. You're the one who resigned as Lieutenant out of fear for yourself! You're the one who's always been afraid of me. And I'm about to give you a reason to fear me." Kensi vows as I slash, stab and explode whatever vampires I can get my hands on.

There are so many though. I start my own fires, tossing them into the blazes and watching the purple smoke fill the air.

I try to focus on fighting the vampires but there are so many and I'm quickly being overwhelmed. Kensi and Mara are too busy fighting themselves.

"KENSI!" I cry as one of the vampires gets a grip on my arm.

Jake howls inside the kennel pacing back and forth as Kensi finally snaps over to me.

Kensi hurls Mara into the chain link fence and rushes to my aid. She slashes her way through the vampires, setting her entire body on fire and igniting them wherever she can.

"There are so many." Kensi whispers as she hurls one into the electric chain link.

I watch as the vampire's body convulses with electricity before igniting on fire.

Kensi watches in shock, her entire body stopping. She zones out, clearly lost in thought. Very distracted.

A lone vampire notices her distraction and lunges at her. Kensi flies past me.

"KENSI!" I call. I hear her hit a pile of crates and the sound of splintering, cracking wood. Kensi screams in pain and Embry howls inside the kennel.

"Kensi!" I scream. "MACKENZIE!" Tears well up in my eyes.

There's only silence. No movement. The pile doesn't move.

"Mackie?" I whisper.

The pile shifts slightly and then there's a sickening snap, craaaaaaack that is quickly followed by an agonizing scream. Kensi's scream.

"KENSI!" I scream in horror. What happened!? I know that sound. That's bone.

Seconds later a vampire zooms out of the pile of wood and crates and flies into the electric fencing.

"I have a really horrible idea!" Kensi hollers leaping up. She's spitting and swearing as she does, brushing splinters and dust off her clothes before adjusting her grip. Her knuckles are bloody and bruised, and her skin slicked with sweat and dirt. Blood trickles out of the corner of her mouth, and there's a cut across her collar bone, deep and oozing blood. It stains her tee shirt black, and drips down the front of her body. Inside the kennel, I can hear Embry whimpering as he senses her pain and distress. It pinches my heart to see Jake in the same state, but Embry seems to be much worse off.

Her warm and metallic scent of blood sends the vampires around us into a feeding frenzy.

"I have another really awful idea!" Kensi says. She looks around the warehouse as I wait for her to tell me what it is.

"Mara!" Kensi calls.

Mara fights the vampires and presses her back against Kensi.

But my eyes widen in shock as Kensi pulls her dagger out from the sheath on her thigh, and slams said dagger into Mara's.

Mara screams in pain as blood squirts out of her femoral artery into the air. It coats the vamps in a thick mist that causes them to self-destruct.

Kensi sheaths her sword and pulls her dagger before sheathing that too. She grabs her grappling hook and fires it up to the catwalks above, taking Mara with her.

I watch as Kensi drops her into the kennel with the wolves. There's a substantial amount of growling and then the vampires throwing themselves at the fence to get to Mara.

"Genius!" I cry up to Kensi as she pants. She leans against the railing of the catwalk, her chest heaving. Blood drips down and soaks through her shirt, and she spits a wad of blood down. She leans tiredly against the cat walks, shoulders sagging and drooling blood. Blood pours out of a dangerous slice on her collarbone.

"Progress report!?" I call up to Kensi.

"Been better." Kensi allows. "Bit my tongue pretty hard. Few scrapes and a few bruises. Going to be sore as hell in the morning. You?"

I look around me as the carnage of vampires that just keep coming. "You think I'm okay!?"

"Well I have a confession." Kensi spits more blood with a grimace while I dodge another vampire attack.

"Spit it out, Kensi and help me."

"I think I broke my collar bone." She groans. "I popped it back in."

"MACKENZIE MARIE LAHOTE!" I holler. "You better not have!"

Kensi spits up more blood with a groan. She chokes and coughs a little bit before groaning again. "I'm coming."

Kensi shakes her head before grabbing the rope and sliding down it. I can smell her blood that was brought to the surface by a nasty rope burn.

"You need to get into the kennel with the guys." Kensi hollers at me.

"Are you out of your damn mind!?" I scream at her. "If anyone needs to get in the damn kennel, it's you Mrs.-I-think-I-broke-my-collar-bone!"

Kensi shakes her head. "Electricity. It will light them on fire with the wattage that that fence is putting off. There's a piping system in here, if I can open that up, the flood gates, then I can electrocute them all at once."

I think this through, clearly a lot more than Kensi did. "But if there's water they won't burn."

"But they'll be stunned." Kensi says. "Enough that I can move the water and light them on fire in one place."

"This is an awful plan. What about the other fires?"

"Magic fires that aren't compatible with normal water?" Kensi offers.

I shrug. Maybe.

"Look. You need to get in there! I'm going to create an ice barrier over the kennels so the water doesn't get in there and get to the guys!"

I shake my head at Kensi. "No. This is suicide."

"So is fighting 140 vampires." Kensi snorts. "Because I'm guessing that there's about 80 still in here trying to get into that kennel and get to us. Most of them newborns."

I nod to my sister. "Fine. But this is an awful idea."

"I know, I know." Kensi sighs. "Just go."

I nod as my sister uses her grappling hook to take her back up to the catwalks. She runs over the kennels at a breakneck pace, and get to the valve system. She uses her sword to pry the rusty fixture open and water pours out.

Kensi immediately grabs it and starts manipulating the rusty water. It freezes clear, creating an ice barrier around the kennel the guys are in. At the last possible second I dive into the kennel and she seals me inside.

I watch my sister look around. She managed to conjure up her own ice to cover the windows and doors to seal the room, the vampires flooded in through the ceiling and from the shadows where they were waiting to spring the trap.

Wonder when Mara made me.

"How did they know to expect us?" I demand glowering at Mara.

She groans putting pressure on her wound.

"We didn't." Mara asks.

I glare at her as I reach over and shove my fingers into her wound. Mara unleashes the holy mother of all blood-curdling screams.

"I made you when I left the café!" Mara screams in agony. "Micah told me that Tift and the army was here to for a full conference and meeting when I was at the Café. That's why I left early. They were already here."

I nod shoving my fingers in deeper. "Now what did you do to Embry."

"Embry figured out who Nathaniel was to Kensi when Nathaniel started going on and on about Kensi when him and a few other Children of the Moon were trying to control the shifters while we moved their kennel around." Mara wails. Tears leave nasty marks in her makeup.

"Keep going." I order.

Mara sobs in pain as she takes a deep breath to continue. "Embry turned on Nathaniel and took a few pieces out of him. Nathaniel can't shift because it wasn't the full moon, but Embry almost killed him. A few of the other guys got on Embry and it took a full pack to subdue him."

I look back at Embry who is clearly nursing some serious wounds.

"An entire pack?" I ask.

"Nathaniel would do anything to get Kensi's mate out of the way." Mara groans in pain. "Micah used that to her advantage."

I look through the ice and see Kensi listening and watching as the vampires struggle to get to Mara's blood through the ice.

"They're coming." She whispers. "Nathaniel's wolf pack. Micah called them. They will be coming."

"Shame you won't see them coming then." I growl pulling my fingers out of her leg and shoving her down.

Kensi blinks tears out of her eyes as she leaps off the cat walk and into the water that is steadily filling the room.

She marches over to the power conduit that supplies the kennel with their electric energy.

I watch Kensi brace herself as she cuts through the three thick cables and drop them into the frigid and turbulent waters.

The agonized screams of the vampires ring through the entire warehouse and immediately I seek out Jake. I bury my face and into his soft brown fur hoping to block out the sounds of their anguished screaming.

His neck curls around my body, his head resting against the small of my back.

"I missed you so much." I sob into his neck. I didn't know I was crying until I felt the sobs wracking my body.

Kensi covers her own ears as the screams slowly start to fade. I watch through blurry vision as Kensi immediately cuts the power to the kennel and then lifts the water out of the air. The entire floor is covered in flames as the entire army of 140 vampires becomes nothing but ash and smoke.

I help my sister carry and hold the weight of the water, watching the full weight of it almost smother her. I wondered for a moment why she held it, but quickly understood that if she dropped it, the vamps might not be completely destroyed.

Finally she drops it to the ground, the water splashing around inside the floor. I watch as Kensi melts the ice holding the doors and the windows and immediately the water pressure throws the doors open, flushing out of the building and into the surrounding streets.

Kensi smashes her fist into the conduits a few times, stabbing them a few more before the final spark of electricity extinguishes.

Kensi lastly lets down the ice barrier and walks over to the gate.

She locks her fingers around the gate looking inside. "Mara. How the fuck do I unlock this."

"I don't know." Mara spits.

I shove my fingers deep into her leg again and she hollers in pain. "I don't know where the key is!"

Kensi growls before grabbing her dagger, still crimson with Mara's blood, and shoves the tip into the padlock. A groan slips past Kensi's lips as she puts all her weight on breaking the padlock. It breaks open, and she rips the door open.

"Dani call Leah and tell her get here quick." Kensi's words are tossed over her shoulder as she smothers Embry. She's as gentle as possible when her entire world was about to crash down on her. She clutches at his neck, and I watch as his large head rests over her shoulder. I can smell his pain as he moves.

"We've got bigger problems." I groan. "Nathaniel's pack is coming."

"I heard." Kensi mumbles. She backs up, maybe a little embarrassed. "But we're going to need every hand we can get."

Kensi walks to Jake and finds the collar through his thick fur, and squeezes the firm metal plates, breaking them open and tossing the collar to the floor.

"Make sure Mara doesn't do so much as sneeze. I'll get the collars off of them."

Mara coughs painfully. "Kensi I'm sorry."

"Dani. Get her to shut the fuck up." Kensi mumbles as she works at the collar around Jared's neck. "Please."

"With pleasure." I murmur before shoving my finger into her thigh again.

She tosses another collar to the floor, taking Paul's and then Sam's.

A truck pulls up outside, but not my Porsche.

"Call Leah." Kensi says. "Now. Tell her to hurry her ass up. Nathaniel's here."

Kensi crouches down beside Embry without saying a word. She removes the collar from his neck and he whimpers, his head resting against her leg. I had noticed she saved him for last, as well as avoiding him. She's scared, she was terrified for him. And this is how she deals, by ignoring the problem.

I pull out my phone but Leah doesn't answer. Instead I get a text.

Two minutes. Calm your tits.

"ETA on Leah?" Kensi asks. She couches beside Embry on his other side, evaluating his injuries.

"Two minutes. What's up?"

"Not entirely certain." Kensi answers. "Broken bones it looks like. Ribs that have already healed improperly. Some kind of internal damage. I can see what I can do here with the water in the air…" Kensi trails off. She looks distraught as Paul roughs her hair with his muzzle. Her bloody and dirty fingers are locked firmly into Embry's gray fur as she frantically runs her fingers over his coat scanning for injuries. Paul attempts to calm my sister while Embry tries to soothe her with nuzzles but she refuses to be brought down off the roof. She's entering a panic mode.

"I'll stay with him." Mara promises. "You need to receive Nathaniel."

Embry growls before struggling to his paws. I wouldn't let her stay with a dying hamster let alone my sister's imprint.

"Absolutely not." Kensi says. Her throat is tight and I swear she inches from crying. "Bry please no."

Embry looks at Sam who shakes his head.

"Thank God." Kensi whispers. Her head rests against his shoulder, her fingers locking into his fur. Her shoulders shake and I know she won't let anyone see her break down and cry. As long at Embry can hide her.

Embry growls at Sam and I can only imagine the conversation.

Embry must've made a good point because Sam finally nods.

No!" Kensi cries. Embry slowly turns to lick her cheek before nuzzling her neck. Aw!

"Heartwarming." Mara growls.

"Mara, shut your fucking mouth." Kensi snarls from Embry's other side. His size is so massive that you can't see her. "Your best hope is I don't lock you in a fucking dog collar just to teach you such a fucking lesson!"

Mara, wisely, shuts her mouth.

"Hell hath no fury like Kensi Marie Lahote." I murmur into her ear. "Your words. Not mine. And you're about to see just what kind fury Kensi has."

Mara's lips twist into a snarl as she gazes up at me. "Assuming she lives through Nathaniel."
