I forgot to mention it last chapter, Brittany's hairstyle is like Hemo's at the Sag Awards and Santana's is like Naya's at the fox TCA carpet event.
''Coming!''
Santana walks out of the room after grabbing her purse and slowly walks towards the stairs silently wishing for the nerves to just go away, she looks up as a soft gasp reaches her ears the second she reaches the top and her jaw drops as her eyes land on Brittany standing at the bottom.
''Damn Santana.'' Brittany whispers softly the second she reaches her not noticing Maribel walk off to give them some privacy and to send Holly the picture she took of both girls just watching each other. ''You look stunning.'' She murmurs as she takes in the red off shoulder top, black skin tight jeans, black pumps and the way she styled them in long wavy curls.
''You look gorgeous Britt-Britt.'' Santana whispers with a shy smile as she takes in the casual but very hot western look Brittany rocks, she swallows thickly as she sees her abs on display and quickly glances back up eyes locking on bright blue orbs.
Brittany clears her throat as she hears Maribel's soft snicker and steps back while holding out her hand. ''Are you ready to go?''
Santana shoots her mami a softened glare and turns back to Brittany hooking her arm through hers while nodding her head. ''I am.''
''Bring her home before midnight please.'' Maribel tells Brittany as she walks over to hug them.
''Mami!'' Santana exclaims with a groan, Brittany chuckles pulling out of Maribel's hug and nods her head with a reassuring smile.
''I will Maribel, Holly also told me to be home before midnight.'' She glances at the time and smiles. ''We do have to go now.'' She opens the front door waiting for Santana to grab her jacket and unlocks her car.
''Have fun girls.'' Maribel tells them with a grin as they both walk out of the house yelling goodbye, Santana kisses her cheek to thank her softly and follows Brittany to her car raising an eyebrow in surprise as she opens the door for her.
''And they say chivalrousness is dead.'' She comments with a smirk, she kisses her cheek and slides into the passenger seat.
Brittany just laughs the tip of her ears turning red and shakes her head shooting Maribel a wink as she hears her laugh, she walks around the car after closing the passenger door after Santana settled in and slides into the drivers seat.
An hour and a half later.
''Beeeeeee.'' Santana drawls out with a pout. ''Where are we going?'' She asks for the umpteenth time, she frowns as Brittany just snickers and leans back in her seat crossing her arms.
Brittany glances at her and laughs as she sees her still pouting. ''We are almost there San.''
''You said that five minutes ago.'' Santana exclaims her frown deepening, Brittany just shakes her head with a soft laugh and glances at her once again.
''I know you hate surprises, but I promise you that you will love this.''
''What exactly is this?'' Santana tries with a cute grin, Brittany just smirks and squeezes the hand intertwined with her own.
''Nice try San.'' She laughs softly as Santana just scoffs and takes a right turn, she sees them nearing their destination and squeezes Santana's hand again. ''Almost there.'' She reassures softly.
Santana looks around trying to find out where they are and gasps softly as she sees the huge Titanic ship right in front of them. ''What the…'' She cuts herself off and turns to Brittany in shock. ''Is that..'' She cuts herself off once again and turns her head back to the ship. ''Are we.. ''
Brittany parks her car in one of the free parking lots with a smile playing on her lips and turns to the stunned girl sitting beside her. ''Want to gather your thoughts before speaking beautiful?'' She asks teasingly, she laugh softly as she just opens and closes her mouth searching for words while looking between her and the ship and winks.
She slides out of the car walking around it and opens Santana's door for her, she offers her, her hand smiling as she immediately takes it and helps her out. ''Ready for our first date Ms Lopez?''
Santana just mutely nods her head glancing at the giant ship and allows Brittany to lead her towards it, she licks her lips as they stand in line to await their boarding and turns to Brittany still in shock. ''Are you serious?'' She asks softly.
Brittany just smiles wrapping an arm around her shoulder and pulls her into her side while kissing the top of her head with a soft hum, she watches Santana turn back to the ship looking exactly like the one out of her favorite movie and walks over to one of the crew members showing him their tickets.
The guy smiles kindly and hands them two boarding passes. ''Here are your boarding passes.'' He tells them as they take the passes. ''Welcome on the Titanic, have fun.'' He continues while tipping his hat.
''Thank you.'' Both girls reply with kind smiles while walking up the ramp, Brittany steps back as soon as they near the entrance and takes out her phone as she notices Santana look around in awe.
She snaps a few pictures of her nearing the bronze staircase touching the baluster with a giant grin and shoves her phone back into her pocket as she looks over her shoulder searching for her, she wraps an arm around her waist noticing other people also looking around in amazement and turns her attention back to Santana. ''Ready to walk around?''
Santana nods her head intertwining their hands and allows Brittany to lead her to the first gallery, her jaw drops as she sees old furniture looking exactly like the set up in the movie and blinks. ''Whoa.''
Brittany just hums softly also looking around in awe as she sees the decorated room and smiles as she hears the hymn of the sea in the distant, she follows Santana around just content with observing her walking around in amazement and locks eyes with her as she turns to look at her the second she stands in front of the framed Heart of the sea necklace replica.
''It has almost the same color as your eyes.'' Santana whispers as soon as she slides beside her to also look at the necklace. ''Your eyes are bluer and as beautiful as the ocean and the make-up highlighting your eyes brings them out even more.'' She compliments softly.
Brittany just smiles pulling her closer with her arm wrapped around her waist and turns her head to look at her, Santana just smiles as she sees her eyes sparkle and leans up on her tiptoes to kiss her cheek. ''I know we just got here and we have so much more to see, but this is amazing Britt-Britt.'' She pauses pulling back to lock eyes with her and intertwines their hands. ''You are perfect.''
''Far from.'' Brittany murmurs as they start walking again. ''But you deserve the best, so I will try to give you just that.'' She continues as they walk into the next room, the instrumental of the hymn of the sea getting louder.
They stop behind the crowd of families gathered in front of a wall and watch a projector beam the dream scene onto the wall, Santana smiles as Brittany moves behind her wrapping both of her arms around her waist and leans her head back against the shoulder as they both watch the scene.
After an hour and a half of exploring everything the ship shows like touching a real ice berg, steering the helm and sitting in a lifeboat, Brittany leads Santana out onto the deck and smiles lovingly as she gasps in amazement hearing the fake waves crash against the ship and the sun just perfectly set to make the view breathtakingly gorgeous.
She smiles as she sees a photographer taking pictures of families and couples at the bow some of them standing exactly like Jack and Rose did and shakes her head, she nudges Santana softly as she notices her still looking around in awe and nods her head to the photographer. ''You want to fly?''
Santana laughs at the mention of the famous Titanic scene and shakes her head as she sees a couple standing exactly like Jack and Rose did, she turns her head to look at Brittany and smiles lovingly. ''Nope no flying, but I do want to take a picture if that is okay with you.''
Brittany nods her head leading her over to the line of people waiting for the photographer to take their picture and leans against the railing looking down at the shallow water, she smiles as she sees shadows of dolphins move under the water realizing just how much thought the museum put into the design and nudges Santana. ''San, look.''
She smiles lovingly as Santana cuddles into her side gasping softly as she watches the fast shadows move beneath the water and watches her face light up once again, she inwardly makes a note to buy Sam the biggest cup of white chocolate Frappucino on Monday to thank him for the tickets and returns her attention back to Santana as she tugs on her hand.
''The line is moving.'' Santana whispers softly, Brittany follows her noticing they are the next up and glances at the bow.
''Really no flying?'' She asks teasingly imitating Rose's voice, she smiles as Santana burst out into a fit of giggles and bites her lip as she turns to look at her in amusement.
''You want to be Rose?'' Santana giggles as Brittany immediately shakes her head and gently tugs on the button up top she wears. ''Me neither and I don't want to take someone's pose.''
''Ladies, you are up.'' The photographer calls out looking at them with a kind grin, he does a double take as they walk up to him and turns to his colleague. ''Now that will be a gorgeous picture.''
Brittany bites her lip as she sees Santana blush at his comment and shoots him a grin. ''Thanks?''
''The both of you want to pose like Jack and Rose too?'' The photographers colleague asks trying to cover is amusement as he notices his colleague turn red in embarrassment at being heard.
Brittany shakes her head and smiles slightly. ''No we don't want to fly.'' She tells him with a soft chuckle.
''Well alright, just go up there and stand just the way you want.'' He instructs. ''Careful though, it's secured but watch your step if you do decide to step up.''
Brittany nods her head leading Santana towards the bow and turns to look at her, Santana just shoots her a grin and cuddles into her side looking at the photographer noticing the sun hitting them perfectly bringing Brittany's eyes out even more.
''Oh wow.'' The photographer comments snapping a few pictures. ''Beautiful ladies.'' He compliments with a kind grin as they both smile brightly for the picture, he straightens up after making sure he captured the right picture and glances behind him smiling as he sees a couple walking up but still too far away to reach them, he turns back to the girls and raises an eyebrow. ''Another picture, a different pose?'' He asks.
Brittany glances at Santana nodding her head as she sees her already looking at her and frowns in confusion as she slides behind her. ''San your pumps bring you up to my height but..'' She cuts herself off in surprise as she feels her arms wrap around her shoulders from behind and turns her head looking at Santana being taller as her for a moment, Santana giggles and kisses her cheek not noticing the photographer already snapping pictures. ''Thank god for the railings giving me a bit more height.''
Brittany laughs and turns to the photographer as he clears his throat. ''This will look amazing.'' He comments smiling brightly. ''Alright smile!''
Santana leans her chin on Brittany's shoulder with a bright smile and turns her head seconds before the flash to kiss her cheek, she smiles against the hot sun kissed skin as she feels Brittany's cheeks bunch up knowing she brought out that gorgeous million dollar smile and glances into the camera through her lashes.
''That was gorgeous girls.'' The photographers colleague comments as he walks over to them to help them safely back onto the deck, he holds out a card with a password and smiles gently. ''With this card you can buy the pictures in the shop, they will be on the computer in about five minutes. He took a lot so I will scroll through them and pick out the best ones for you to get a copy.''
Brittany nods her head and thanks him softly as she takes the card. ''Thank you.'' She smiles as he tips his head and intertwines her hand with Santana's. ''Have a nice night.''
''You too.'' The guy wishes them with a broad smile.
''Where to now?'' Santana asks as they walk back towards the ship, Brittany looks at her and smiles.
''There is one room we didn't enter yet.'' She tells her cryptically.
Santana raises an eyebrow as she sees the smirk pulling at the corners of her lips and laughs softly. ''That smirk of yours tells me that you saved the best for last.'' She shakes her head as Brittany just wriggles her eyebrows the smirk really forming on her lips and giggles. ''You are crazy.''
''You agreed to go on a date with me, gotta accept the craziness too.''
''Your craziness made me fall for you even more.'' Santana whispers with a small shy smile. ''And I love everything you planned today, you just made my whole life by taking me to this museum Britt-Britt.''
''The day is far from over San.'' Brittany promises with a loving grin, she leads her into the last room and turns her head to lock eyes with her. ''Look french girls.'' She tells her while wiggling her eyebrows again.
Santana covers her mouth as she giggles loudly blushing as other people turn to her in surprise and pushes Brittany softly as she notices that they entered Rose's and Cal's suite, she watches different drawings framed around the room all innocent enough for kids to be seen and glances at the blonde. ''You are an idiot.'' She whispers adoringly while smiling lovingly.
''I know.'' Brittany tells her with a soft chuckle as they walk over to the exact replica of the bed Rose laid in while Jack sat on the couch beside it. ''But you love knowing that I also know scenes out of the movie.''
''The flying scene, the French girl scene and.'' Santana cuts herself off and shakes her head in amusement. ''And the car scene, yeah I know where you mind was while watching it.'' She giggles as Brittany's jaw drops and dodges the hand trying to grab her, she sticks her tongue out as she sees a blush creeping up her cheeks and continues giggling. ''Saw right through ya, didn't I?''
Brittany sucks in her lips shaking her head in amusement as Santana almost doubles over while giggling her ass off, her cute giggles bouncing off of the walls capturing the attention of several other people and just smiles adoringly as she watches her walk further away to look at a few pictures inwardly thanking god for bringing that gorgeous girl into her life.
''Now that is what I call young love, it's heartwarming to see isn't it honey?''
She turns her head as a voice cuts through her musing and smiles shyly as she comes face to face with an elderly couple standing right beside her, the man nods his head shooting Brittany a kind smile and leans down to kiss his wife's temple. ''It sure is sweetheart.''
''How long are you two together?'' The woman asks with a loving grin while looking at her, Brittany chuckles softly as her husband chastise her softly telling her to stop being nosy and rubs the back of her neck with a small grin.
''This is our first date.'' She tells them.
''Really?'' The woman asks in surprise noticing her husband also look at the blonde in surprise, she tilts her head as she notices the young girl just slowly nod her head and smiles. ''Could have fooled me, the way the both of you act I would have thought you were together for years.''
Brittany shakes her head turning her head to look at Santana and smiles lovingly as she sees her flipping through an album probably filled with more drawings and pictures. ''It feels like I know her for years, but we only met two months ago.'' She turns back to the couple and shrugs her shoulders with a shy smile. ''She definitely was the missing puzzle piece that failed in my life to make it complete.''
''Oh wow.'' The woman breaths out, the man just shoots Brittany a grin and wraps his arms around his wife from behind.
''She was my missing puzzle piece too, we met in high school and now we are married for almost fifty years.'' He gazes at his wife with an adoring smile and turns back to the young girl in front of them. ''Life wasn't easy growing up but we made it through every obstacle because we fought together, now after fifty years, we are proud parents of five amazing kids, grandparents of three and I still love her like I did back in high school.''
Brittany smiles adoringly noticing the strong love between the older couple and nods her head. ''I can see that.'' She glances at Santana and smiles shyly as they lock eyes. ''I think I found my forever, I hope god thinks so too.''
''Screw god honey.'' The woman tells her with a slight grin leaning back against her Husband as the blonde turns to her in surprise. ''Faith brought us together but us being still together is because we fought hard for it, love is never easy but with the right person it is worth the fight.''
''Word of advice kid.'' The man starts while locking eyes with her the second she turns back to look at them noticing the Latina slowly walk back to them. ''Never go to bed angry at one another! It almostalways guarantees a good night's sleep. Don't forget to say 'I love you' and 'I'm sorry.''' He locks eyes with the blonde and smiles slightly. ''They are the most important words in your relationship. Always be kind. Your words and your actions reflect your love.''
Brittany nods her head and smiles. ''I will remember that.''
''We will let you go back.'' The woman tells her with a loving grin. ''But let us old people tell you, that the both of you would make a loving couple. We wish you a lot of good luck and love in the future.''
Brittany licks her lips softly thanking them as she feels arms wrap around her waist and turns her head eyes locking on curious brown orbs, Santana tilts her head seeing the emotions in Brittany's eyes and raises an eyebrow. ''Are you okay?'' She asks softly.
Brittany just nods her head swallowing thickly and smiles. ''Yeah, just had an amazing talk with an elderly couple.'' She chuckles as Santana's eyebrows raise in surprise and leans in to kiss her forehead softly. ''Will tell you later, ready to go grab our pictures?'' She pulls back as she nods her head and intertwines their hands leading Santana out of the room storing the old man's advice in the back of her mind, she watches Santana look around with a big grin as they walk through the ship back to the lobby where they started and walks into the shop handing Santana the card with the password. ''Do you want to pick out the pictures?''
She watches her walk off after she took the card with a big smile and glances around, her eyes land on a stand with jewelry and walks over as glistening blue catches her eye. She stops in front of the stand eyeing a necklace with a blue heart looking like the heart of the ocean and looks up at the saleswoman. ''Excuse me?''
''Yes?''
''How much for the necklace.'' She sees a white star line compass right beside it and looks back up. ''And the compass?''
''Seventy-five together.'' The sales woman tells her with a kind smile.
Brittany nods her head glancing behind her and turns back to the woman as she sees Santana still occupied with the pictures. ''Can you please wrap them up for me?'' She asks taking out her wallet, she thanks the woman softly as she nods her head and hands over the money.
''Here you go, have a nice day.'' The woman tells her holding out the wrapped necklace and compass, Brittany takes it from her after thanking her again and walks over to Santana storing both packages into the inside pocket of her jacket.
''Found something?'' She asks as soon as she reach her, she chuckles gently placing her hands on her hips as she jumps and steps closer leaning her front against her toned back. ''Sorry.'' She murmurs into her ear.
Santana just rolls her eyes and looks up at her. ''Nope you're not sorry.'' She shakes her head with a soft laugh as Brittany just smiles sheepishly and nods her head answering her question. ''Yeah they are copying it, picked three pictures and asked them to copy it twice.''
Brittany nods her head watching a woman hand Santana an envelope containing the pictures and takes out her wallet again, she slides closer to Santana and hands the woman the money before Santana can take out her money. ''Keep the change.'' She tells her with a small smile.
''Thank you!'' The woman exclaims with a grin. ''Have an evening.''
''You too.'' Brittany replies politely as she leads Santana away making sure she can't see the jewelry stand, she turns to look at her as soon as they exit the shop and smiles slightly as she sees her frown. ''What?'' She asks softly.
''I could have paid too Britt-Britt.'' Santana murmurs softly, Brittany hums pulling her in her arms and leans against the wall beside the exit.
''I know, but I asked you out on a date didn't I?'' She smiles as Santana opens her mouth to protest and just pulls her closer with the hand placed on the small of her back, she locks eyes with her as she immediately shuts her mouth the second she notices how close they are and leans down to kiss the corner of her mouth. ''I am not allowing you to pay on our date San.'' She murmurs softly, she pulls back so they can lock eyes and nods her head to the exit. ''Ready to go to the next part?''
''There is more?'' Santana asks surprised, Brittany nods her head and glances at the time.
''Yeah but not long, we will drive back first so we can make sure we will be home on time.'' She leads Santana out of the museum keeping her hand on the small of her back and nods her head to the guy that gave them their boarding passes, she turns to look at Santana and smiles slightly. ''Don't want your mami to be mad because we came back later as promised.''
''I don't think she can be mad at you.'' Santana murmurs with a soft chuckle as they walk to Brittany's car, she kisses her cheek again as she opens the door for her and slides in.
''I hope but I am not about to try my luck.'' Brittany tells her with a soft chuckle, she closes the door walking around the car and slides into the drivers seat.
''Will you allow me to buy an ice cream on our way back?'' Santana asks with an eyebrow raised, she rolls her eyes as Brittany just shakes her head and smiles slightly. ''I will wait till our second date, I will be the one paying and I hope you will keep your wallet in your pocket.''
Brittany turns to her and smiles shyly. ''Second date?'' She asks softly her insides jumping at the thought of Santana already planning it.
Santana nods her head intertwining their hands and leans over the middle console to kiss her cheek. ''Yeah second date.'' She pauses and pulls back a shy smile suddenly pulling at her mouth. ''That is if you want there to be a second date.''
''I do.'' Brittany breaths out with a big grin, she starts her car as she sees Santana also sitting back with a big smile and intertwines their hands on her thigh. ''Ready to head back? We can go through the McDonald's drive thru to grab an ice or shake.''
She keeps her hand intertwined with Santana's as she pulls out of the parking lot and navigates them off of the parking lot rolling her eyes as she sees many cars leaving at the same time as they do, she watches Santana grab her phone silently asking her if she can choose a playlist and nods her head focusing her eyes back on the road.
She smiles as she hears the slow song playlist she made filter through the speakers of the car and taps her fingers against the steering wheel as What dreams are made of by Brent Morgan plays, she glances at Santana as she hears her hum softly and slowly runs her thumb over the back of her hand as they both just listen to the song in silence while they cruise over the highway back to Tennessee lost in their own thoughts not knowing they are both thinking the same.
She is the dream come true.
