''Hey B, can we talk for a second?'' Tina asks as they all relax on a blanket watching Mason play on the playground in front of them after they had some sandwiches for lunch, Brittany hears all conversations around them pause and turns her head in Santana's lap to look at Tina with a small smile.
''Do you trust him?'' She asks, she laughs as she sees her eyes widen and winks. ''I may look like I don't listen to all the conversations going on around me most of the time, but I do know that you had your third date with Mike was it?'' She glances at the other girls turning back to Tina as they nod their heads and smiles. ''Yesterday.''
Tina nods her head and smiles shyly. ''Yes I do trust him, he actually asked me to be his girlfriend yesterday.''
Brittany grunts as Santana dives forward the second Quinn and Mercedes squeal and chuckles softly as she watches Tina fall down on her back laughing loudly while the girls hug her tightly, she sits up turning to Puck and Sam with a slight smile and glances at the girls. ''Bar?''
She turns to Holly as they nod their heads and clears her throat as she sees both adults lost in their own conversation while still watching Mason play. ''Holly?''
''Yes B?''
''Can I go to the country bar with the group tonight?''
''Bar night?!'' The girls ask with a big smile as they all turn to look at Brittany, Holly laughs as she sees the teens grin in excitement and nods her head.
''Yeah just don't make it too late alright?''
''I won't.'' Brittany promises, she glances at Mason and smiles. ''I promised to tuck him in tonight, so I will leave around nine.'' She pulls out her phone as she nods her head and looks down at the device in her hand as she hears Santana also asking for permission, she scrolls down her contact list opening Cody's contact and sends him a text.
To Cody: Hey Codes, any chance that I can reserve our table last minute? We will join you all tonight.
She turns back to the group hoping he will answer soon and turns back to Tina with a small smile. ''T?'' She leans forward to hug her quickly showing her that she is also happy for her and sits back down dropping her head back in Santana's lap as soon as she settles back down beside her. ''Invite Mike too.''
''Are you serious?'' Tina asks in surprise noticing their friends all turn to Brittany in surprise, Brittany hums turning her head so she is facing her after shooting Santana a wink and smiles.
''Yeah we only know him from a few classes but never really talked to him, invite him to come with us.'' She locks eyes with her and chuckles. ''I will behave and I will make sure Noah and Sam do too.''
She smiles as Tina nods her head grabbing her phone to text Mike and turns to the boys. ''I mean what I say, don't scare him away.'' She warns, she shakes her head as they frown and nods her head to Tina walking away with a big grin while talking on the phone. ''The both of you ever saw her grin that big?'' She hums as they shake their heads and sighs. ''Exactly, it looks like he makes her happy. Tonight we can meet him and if he does raise a red flag, you all know that I notice it first.''
She turns to the playground as she suddenly hears Mason squeal out a giggle and sits up in surprise as she sees Don tickling him and Cody walking towards them, Cody locks eyes with her and shakes the phone in his hand for her to see. ''You know the table is free, the second you enter the bar beautiful.''
She easily pushes herself up in a standing position and walks over to hug him. ''Thanks and what are you doing here?'' She asks softly.
''We wanted to enjoy the weather after our lunch date, we don't only live at the bar you know.'' Cody tells her with an eye roll, he turns to the group and smiles. ''Hey teens.''
Brittany smiles as Don walks over and hugs him allowing him to kiss her cheek three times, she plucks Mason out of her arms and turns to both men standing beside her after they greeted the teens and sees Holly and Maribel watch on curiously. ''Don, Codes?'' She asks.
''Yes gorgeous?'' Don asked smiling, Brittany chuckles and walks over to Holly gently placing her hand on her shoulder while nodding her head to Maribel.
''You know the group, so this is Maribel Lopez, Santana's.'' She nods her head to Santana. ''Mother and this.'' She gently taps Holly's shoulder and locks eyes with them smiling slightly. ''Is Holly Holiday, our foster mother.''
''Your what?'' Cody asks in surprise, Don also tilts his head and raises an eyebrow.
''What the hell happened the past three weeks B?''
''Long story.'' Brittany breaths out with a sigh, she glances at Mason and locks eyes with them. ''I won't indulge on that now, but we are safe from now on.''
Don and Cody nod their heads walking over to the two woman and hold out their hands for them to shake. ''Well it's nice to meet you.'' Cody tells them with a grin, he locks eyes with Maribel and winks while glancing at Santana. ''I can see where your daughter got her looks from.''
Santana giggles as her mami starts blushing and gently shoves her. ''Ethnic people don't blush mami, stop that we have a reputation to hold.''
''My ass.'' Brittany murmurs covering it with a cough as Santana shoots her a glare, Don chuckles and turns to Holly.
''You sure found yourself two amazing and beautiful children Holly.''
''Yeah.'' Holly agrees while looking at Brittany smiling lovingly as she sees Mason cuddled into his big sister while she jokes around with Cody and the teens. ''I know.''
Don crouches down in front of her and smiles kindly. ''Thank you.'' He glances at the blonde teen joking around with his husband as Holly raises an eyebrow and sighs. ''We were both worried sick because we didn't hear from her the past three weeks and Puck told us that something is going on without actually telling us what happened, but I think this is the first time that we both see her looking relaxed the little worried lines on her face are gone so thank you for whatever you did.''
Holly slowly nods her head turning her head to look at the teens and smiles as she hears Brittany, Mason and the other teens laugh at something Cody told them. ''I would do it again in a heartbeat.'' She tells Don softly as she turns back to look at him.
Don nods his head and stands back up shooting both women a grin, he turns to his husband and whistles. ''Love come on, we will see the teens tonight and we still have to prepare some things for tonight.''
''Coming mi amor!'' Cody tells him, Brittany chuckles as he turns to her and nods her head.
''Yes you can tell him, just make sure he won't break my bones tonight.'' She tells him knowing Don will be happy to know she went on a date and found herself someone who makes her happy, she hugs him as he nods his head and glances down at Mason adjusting her hold on him as she sees him slowly nodding off. ''Go to sleep Maze.'' She murmurs knowing it's around the time he normally naps.
She sits down as Don and Cody walk off promising to meet them for lunch soon and turns to Holly smiling slightly. ''That was the couple I told you about yesterday.''
''Yeah I figured.'' Holly tells her with a small smile. ''From what I have seen, I can tell that they are nice.''
Brittany hums laying back down with her head in Santana's lap adjusting Mason's sleeping form so his head is nestled underneath her chin and turns to look at her with a small smile. ''The lunch invitation wasn't just for me, it was for all of us.'' She locks eyes with Maribel and nods her head as she sees her eyebrow raise. ''Yes also for you Maribel, Cody is a hell of a cook but always makes too much so he will enjoy cooking for a big group.''
''How did you meet them?'' Maribel asks curiously, Mercedes chuckles and gently nudges Brittany with her foot making sure that she doesn't jostle Mason as soon as she notices him napping.
''B over here shocked the both of them during the opening night of the bar after they transformed it into a teenager hang out, she was on the dance floor after someone called out a line dance competition and out danced the both of them with ease.''
''They transformed the bar?'' Holly asks in confusion, Puck nods his head before Brittany can and sighs.
''Yeah after they got married two years ago the adults around the city preferred a bar a bit further away from here ran by people who are normal in there eyes, so they were close to being bankrupt until Cody came up with the idea of transforming it into a hangout possibility for the teens around the city.''
''The city doesn't offer much for us to do and while there are some decent parties going on at several houses, spending the night at a bar with loud music and completely sober teens is something I prefer over drunken teens screaming around.'' Brittany adds with a shrug, she runs her hand over Mason's back as he grunts and smiles sheepishly. ''Sorry sweetie.'' She apologizes softly glancing down as she feels a hand placed on the small of Mason's back, she glances up at Santana as she notices that it's her hand and smiles as she just glances down shooting her a wink before turning back to her conversation with Tina and Quinn.
''So this time has some small minded fu…'' Brittany chuckles as Maribel closes her mouth to stop herself from swearing and locks eyes with her.
''He is out cold, don't worry Maribel.'' She locks eyes with her and smiles sadly. ''But to answer your question, yeah I think every town has some idiots who are against love but the city is big enough to make sure you don't bump into them every damn day.''
Maribel glances at her daughter noticing she is pointedly ignoring the conversation and smiles sadly. ''Thank god for bigger towns.''
Brittany just locks eyes with her again and raises an eyebrow silently promising her that she will make sure Santana won't suffer like she did back in her hometown, she smiles as Maribel nods her head and sighs softly turning her head to nuzzle her cheek against Santana's thigh while listening to her talking to the group smiling as she hears Santana tell them about their date last night.
Later that night.
Holly looks up as she hears footsteps jogging down the stairs and whistles lowly with a chuckle. ''Well damn, you clean up nicely cowgirl.''
Brittany laughs adjusting her light blue plaid button up and runs a hand through her hair. ''It's Cowboys and Cowgirls night, we will all look like this tonight.''
''Did you tell the group that you will be a bit later?'' Holly asks knowing Brittany took a bit longer to just cuddle with Mason and to read him a few good night stories.
''Yeah they picked Santana up and already went to the bar, I will just meet them there.''
''Well don't let them wait any longer, be safe and text if you decide to sleepover at one of the groups houses alright?''
''Nah I will be coming home, just don't wait up.'' Brittany tells her softly as she grabs her car keys. ''See you later.''

Brittany walks out of the house and jogs to her car shooting Santana a text that she is on her way, she jumps in the drivers seat smiling as she sees her hat already placed on the backseat knowing Puck drove by to grab the other hats and pulls out of the driveway reaching behind her to grab her hat.
She drives back to the park where they spend most of the afternoon and smiles slightly as she sees that Puck and Sam left a spot for her car between their trucks, she pulls into the parking lot smiling slightly as she hears the music already filling the parking lot and slams her car door closed following the sound after locking her car.
''B!'' Cody yells with a bright smile as soon as he sees her walk up, he just holds his hand up for the teens protesting and shoots the blonde a wink. ''The group already told me that you would arrive a bit later, go on in.'' He tells her louder as necessary so the teens all know that her arrival was announced before.
Brittany thanks him with a soft pat on his back and slips past him into the bar feeling the bass of the music immediately hitting her senses, she walks over to the table in the far right corner fist bumping Don on her way and smiles as she sees Santana sitting with her back towards her.
She gently places her hands on her shoulders and looks at the group smirking. ''Sup nerds.'' She yells over the music as she feels Santana tense, she walks around as she notices Tina scoot closer to the boy beside her while pulling Santana with her to make place for her and sits down gently squeezing Santana's hand while leaning close to whisper in her ear. ''Hey again.'' She whispers sweetly. ''You look beautiful.'' She compliments softly before pulling back.
She greets the group with a nods chuckling as they simultaneously tip their hats and turns to Tina reaching out to tap her hat in greeting, she smirks as she adjust it with a scowl and locks eyes with the boy sitting next to her.
''B, this is Mike.'' Tina introduces over the music making sure she doesn't yell straight into Santana's ears, she turns to Mike and smiles slightly. ''Mike this is Brittany, also one of my best friends.''
Mike leans forward to clearly look at the blonde and smiles. ''Nice to properly meet you and not just randomly bump into you in hallways.''
Brittany laughs and nods her head. ''Yeah likewise.'' She turns to her friends rolling her eyes as she notices them observing her and knocks on the table. ''Stop observing.'' She tells them while grabbing Santana's cocktail to take sip.
''You do know that's mine right?'' Santana breaths out as she leans against her side so she can hear her clearly, Brittany just looks down at her still holding the glass and smiles slightly.
''I know, but it's my drink.'' She tells her smirking, she laughs as Santana rolls her eyes and wraps an arm around her shoulders kissing her cheek. ''Caring is sharing San.''
''Isn't it the other way around?'' Santana asks in amusement, Brittany just shrugs and chuckles turning to Tina and Mike as she hears Tina laugh. ''Hey Mike?'' She asks as sees him dance in his seat.
''Yeah?'' He asks leaning forward to look at her while keeping his arm wrapped around Tina's shoulders.
''You dance?'' Brittany asks smirking, she stands up as she sees his eyebrow raise and locks eyes with Tina. ''Can I steal him for a bit?'' She leans down as she nods her head and places Santana's glass back down on the table leaning closer to talk to her. ''Be right back.''
She straightens back up walking around and pats Mike shoulder while nodding her head to the dance floor. ''Let's see if you can keep up.'' She challenges, she smirks as he stands up silently accepting the challenge and turns to the bar whistling loudly.
She mentions her finger to her hat and slightly nods her head to Mike as Don looks up, she smiles as he takes off his own hat and catches it as he throws it in her direction. She turns to Mike and holds it out for him. ''Gotta dress for the song.'' She tells him, she adjust her own hat as she hears the intro to Good times roll and shoots Mike a smirk while dancing out onto the dance floor.
She allows an impressed grin to cover her face as he easily keeps up with her and holds her hat in place while rolling her hips not noticing the group watching the both of them in amazement. ''Well it's safe to say that you can keep up.'' She compliments over the music while looking at Mike keeping up the movement of her feet and hips.
Mike laughs twirling around her keeping a friendly distance and takes a hold of his own hat while they both move their hips to the beat. ''Dancing is like breathing to me, it's an outlet and I just love it.''
''Same.'' Brittany agrees as they twirl on the beat. ''I don't care what dance it is, as long as the music is decent and has a good beat I am happy.''
''Music is the key to a good dance.'' Mike agrees as they both hop on the beat easily speeding up the second Fake ID blasts through the speakers, he slaps his hands against his thigh sliding behind Brittany still keeping a respectable distant and easily follows her lead and speed.
Brittany claps her hand twice noticing a small crowd watching them while Don cheers them on and looks over her shoulder at Mike as the refrain comes up. ''Ready?''
