Three days later
Santana turns to Brittany during their last class of the day as she scoffs softly and raises an eyebrow. ''What's wrong Britt-Britt?''
Brittany just nods her head to Puck and Quinn and sighs. ''It's clear that they like each other, but Puck just can't grow a pair.''
''Think we have to force them to happiness?'' Santana asks with a smirk, she laughs softly as she turns to her in confusion and shrugs. ''We can invite them over to my house and lock them in a room until they talk.''
Brittany laughs and softly snaps her fingers while looking at her with a big grin. ''Why wait till we are at your house.'' Santana frowns in confusion watching her stand up and raises an eyebrow as she walks over to Holly's desk, she covers her mouth trying to hide her smile as she hears Holly laugh before reaching for her keys to hand them to Brittany and shakes her head as she walks back to her with a shit eating grin.
She chuckles as she drops back beside her while handing her the keys and smiles slightly. ''Right after class?'' She asks softly.
She pulls out her phone as soon as Brittany hums and opens Mercedes her contact to give her a head ups.
To Cedes: Cedes as soon as the bell rings hurry out, tell T and Sam to do the same.
She looks up shaking her head as Mercedes opens her mouth to question her and holds up her phone for her to see, she looks back down showing Brittany what she wrote and smiles as she nods her head silently telling her that it's a good idea to warn their friends.
From Cedes: What, why?
To Cedes: We are forcing a bit of luck on Puck and Q, he is taking too long to grow a pair so B will lock them in here.
She looks up locking eyes with her as the bell rings and jumps up grabbing her bag as she sees Mercedes, Sam and Quinn do the same, she ushers them out of the room noticing Brittany staying behind waiting till Holly leaves too and smiles slightly as she notices her distracting Quinn and Puck with a random question to distract them from gathering their stuff. ''Genius.''
She locks eyes with Holly as she slips out of the room smiling as she chuckles softly and winks as Brittany turns on her heels walking towards the door. ''Hurry Britt-Britt.'' She warns as she sees Puck and Quinn closely behind her.
Brittany laughs suddenly sprinting out and slams the door closed immediately jamming the key in the lock, she turns it effectively locking it and leans against the door looking through the window with a smirk as Puck and Quinn both slam their hands against the door.
''Let us out!'' Quinn yells hitting the door, Puck growls as Brittany just shakes her head and slams his fist against the door.
''Not cool Brittany, open the fucking door!''
Brittany just raises an eyebrow as he uses her full name and smirks. ''Nope.'' She tells him with a chuckle, she turns to Quinn and winks. ''Noah got you a few things to tell.'' She turns back to Puck and smirks. ''Don't even think about using the windows, the boys locked them.'' She tells him while holding up the keys.
''Just text any of us after your talk, we will be near.'' Santana tells them with a chuckle as she pulls Brittany away from the door ignoring the slams against the door, Brittany turns to her and chuckles softly.
''Remind me to stay far away from Noah as soon as we unlock the door.''
Santana slides down the locker row near the door pulling Brittany down with her and chuckles. ''I will.'' She promises as she cuddles into her side. ''How long will they take?''
Brittany shrugs her shoulders pulling out her phone as it buzzes and rolls her eyes as she sees a text from Noah, she turns her phone so Santana can read it too and chuckles.
From Brother: The fuck B? What the hell do you expect me to do? I just can't come clean, tell her how I feel after all the shit she heard. Just let us out.
To Brother: You will never know if you don't try Noah, talk to her tell you how you feel and tell her that what you feel scares the fuck out of you. You might be surprised by the outcome, I won't let you out until you talk end of discussion, you can hate as much as you want but I want to see you happy and I know Q makes you happy so grow a fucking pair and talk.
She drops her phone after turning it on silence and wraps her arm around Santana's shoulders smiling as she cuddles into her with an arm wrapped around her waist, she kisses the top of her head and smirks. ''Now that we have a moment alone, you want to tell me what you have planned for tonight?''
Santana shakes her head and laughs. ''Nope, nice try though.'' She giggles as Brittany just groans and tilts her head up to kiss her cheek. ''Patience Britt-Britt, you didn't tell me anything either.'' She cuddles back into her side and smiles. ''Wear something casual and your bikini underneath though.''
''Want to borrow my car and drive yourself?'' Brittany asks softly, Santana hums and smiles slightly.
''Yeah I was thinking about asking mami to borrow her car, but I think she might need it herself.''
Brittany just smiles holding out her car keys for her and shrugs as she looks up at her in surprise. ''Just drop me off at home, you can take my car with you.''
Santana nods her head glancing at the time and bites her lip. ''They are in there for an hour, want to take a look?''
Brittany nods her head pushing herself up and holds out her hand to help Santana up, she leads her over to the door peaking in and smirks as she sees her best friends making out. ''Mission accomplished.'' She whispers as she sees the tear tracks clear on Quinn's face, she high fives Santana with a soft chuckle and slowly unlocks the door smirking as she notices the two still making out not having heard the door. ''Well, I see he finally pulled his head out of his ass.''
Santana giggles as they both pull apart in shock and smirks. ''Yep definitely looks like it, when is the date?'' She asks wiggling her eyebrows.
Puck just pulls back still keeping one arm wrapped around Quinn and glares at his best friend. ''Run.'' He warns before sprinting towards her.
Santana slides aside giggling as Brittany turns on her heels sprinting down the hallway and turns back to Quinn raising an eyebrow.
''I hate and love you right now.'' Quinn breaths out walking over to her, she slaps her arm chuckling as Santana yelps and reaches out to pull her in a bone crushing hug. ''Thank you.'' She whispers softly.
''So he talked?'' Santana asks pulling out of the hug to rub her arm.
Quinn breaths out a laugh and slowly nods her head. ''Yeah after he shocked me with a kiss he did, it was weird to hear him telling me he liked me at first but the look in his eyes really proved his point.''
''He is just as soft as B is Q, they both have a hard shell but only a special person can knock through it.'' Santana tells her softly. ''We are both the lucky girls who will experience what they tried to hide.''
''I can't wait to see how he is beneath that tough exterior.'' Quinn whispers softly as they walk down the hallway after Santana locked the classroom, she turns to look at her and bites her lip. ''But to answer your question, the date will be tonight he asked me out to dinner to talk a bit more.''
The round the corner stopping in their tracks as they see Brittany and Puck in a strong embrace and smile lovingly as they see Puck wiping away his tears the second he notices them, Santana locks eyes with Brittany the second she turns on her heels and winks as she sees the happiness in her eyes knowing how happy she is for her best friend. ''The both of you ready to get out of here?''
She walks past them grabbing Brittany's wrist softly as she walks past her and smiles as she sees Puck waiting for Quinn before following them.
''You do know that I love and hate you at the moment too right San?'' Puck asks as they walk to their cars, Santana looks over her shoulder unlocking Brittany's car and chuckles.
''Yeah and I can live with that, I am just glad you pulled your head out of your ass Puck.'' She laughs as he rolls his eyes and walks over to hug him. ''Have fun tonight and don't think too much, just take things as they come. She pauses and pulls back to look at him with a chuckle. ''No pun intended.''
Puck laughs and pushes her softly. ''Shut up asshole.''
Santana just laughs as Brittany easily holds her up and winks at them after Brittany hugged them telling them that they will meet up at the lake on Sunday. ''See you Sunday.''
She walks around the car as they nod their heads walking over to Puck's truck and slides into the drivers seat of the car, she pulls out of the parking lot intertwining her hand with Brittany and smiles slightly. ''Looks like we have a date the same time Q and Puck have one.''
Brittany hums and chuckles. ''Yeah he told me about it, I hope Q will love what he has planned.''
''He told you?''
''Yeah and I adjusted it a bit knowing Quinn's preferences, I just hope her parents won't give him hell the second he picks her up.''
''I am sure they will find a way around them.'' Santana reassures softly as she turns into Brittany's street, she parks her car in front of the house and glances at the time. ''Is an hour long enough for you to get ready?'' She asks softly.
Brittany nods her head and smiles. ''More than enough San.'' She leans over the middle console and kisses her cheek. ''See you in an hour.''
An hour and a half later
After getting ready and picking Brittany back up, Santana drives down to their date destination and parks her car near the entrance to the woods. She turns to Brittany and smiles. ''We are here.''
Brittany looks around smiling knowingly as she knows what exactly they will find here and watches Santana slide out of the car and walking around it, she waits for her to open the door knowing she wants to and slides out herself.
''I know, that you know this area.'' Santana starts softly as she opens the trunk grabbing the basket filled with food and drinks she packed together with her mami. ''But I still hope you will like it.''
''I am here with you.'' Brittany tells her softly as Santana intertwines their hands leading her towards the path. ''I will love it San.''
They walk along the path following the sound of water and look around at the scenery just holding onto each other and enjoying the peacefulness, Brittany smiles as they near the waterfalls knowing they arrived at the spot Santana picked for them and holds her back before she can spread out the blanket she brought with her. ''I know you planned this but do you mind relocating?''
''To where?'' Santana asks in confusion looking around at the spots around them, Brittany nods her head to the waterfall and smiles slightly.
''Right there.'' She chuckles as Santana just frowns and squeezes her hand. ''Come on.'' She murmurs softly as she leads her closer to the waterfall, she looks down at the path beneath the original path stomping her boot on it to make sure it's secure before jumping down and looking up at Santana.
''Is this allowed?'' Santana asks curiously as she hands Brittany the blanket and basket, Brittany shrugs her shoulders and chuckles.
''I never got busted so no idea but I am sure it is, people need to climb down to swim and nobody complains.'' She stretches her arms out and smiles lovingly as she helps Santana down. ''Watch your step.'' She warns softly as she walks towards the waterfall knowing the stones around are slippery, she slowly walks over the small stoned edge leading to the waterfall still holding onto the basket and leans over to place them down on the platform behind the streaming water making sure it's dry enough.
She turns back to Santana and holds out her hand smiling slightly as she sees her biting her lip with a frown. ''You won't fall San.'' She reassures softly. ''I won't let you.''
She locks eyes with her smiling lovingly as she slowly takes her hand and helps her making sure she takes slow steps, she blindly climbs onto the platform closing one eye as a small stream of water runs down the side of her face and let's go of Santana's hand as soon as she joins her.
''Holy hell.'' Santana gasps out in amazement as she looks around the platform, she turns to face the waterfall her mouth dropping as she sees the beautiful scenery through the water and turns to Brittany. ''How.''
''I stumbled upon this while hiking around trying to clear my mind a few years go, the group knows about the waterfall and the beautiful scenery but they don't know this spot.'' Brittany explains softly as she helps Santana spread the blanket out making sure they sit back far enough to talk in peace while also staying dry. ''I figured they helped you with ideas and mentioned this because I just love this area, but this gives us just a bit more privacy and hikers won't see us.''
''So next time I should just ask you?'' Santana asks in amusement as they both sit down, Brittany shakes her head and laughs.
''Nah but if it's in the area and I know the spot, I am sure I know a private spot near where we can just relax without a interruption.'' She tells her as she shrugs off her jacket wiping the droplets of water off of it. ''The water has a good temperature to swim though.''
''Yeah I kinda hoped it was warm enough to dive in.'' Santana murmurs as she looks at the water in front of them. ''Do you want to dive in first, or eat something?''
''Whatever you have planned first San.'' Brittany murmurs as she leans back on her elbows looking at her with a grin, she smiles slightly as she watches her look between the basket and the water a few times knowing she is contemplating her options and raises an eyebrow as she looks up to lock eyes with her.
''Whatever I want first right?'' Santana asks smiling shyly, she scoots closer as Brittany just nods her head still watching her curiously and leans towards her slowly cupping her jaw. ''Well I don't want to wait till it's time to say good night.'' She murmurs shortly before closing the small gap between them to capture the blonde's lips with her own, she smiles into the kiss as Brittany just breaths deeply through her nose and gently slides her hand up her jaw to cup the back of her neck.
She scoots closer as she feels Brittany's warm hand on the small of her back where her shirt has ridden up and curls her own free hand around her shoulders as she turns to lay on her back the second she feels Brittany lean up, she moans softly as she tilts her head to deepen the kiss the hand previously placed on the small of her back gently running up her side and back down.
Brittany slowly pulls back as air becomes necessary and leans their foreheads together her eyes slowly fluttering open, she smiles as they immediately lock on smoldering brown orbs and nuzzles her nose against Santana's. ''You know that you don't have to wait to kiss me right?''
Santana shrugs her shoulders keeping her arms wrapped around her toned shoulders to keep her close and bites her lip. ''I wanted to do that all day, but didn't know about the rules.''
Brittany laughs softly and kisses her nose making Santana swoon. ''We are setting up our own rules gorgeous, but yeah I wanted to do this all day too but didn't really know if we were on the same page so I opted to kiss your head instead.''
Santana smiles slightly and tilts her chin up to peck her lips. ''Well we definitely are.'' She whispers softly a cute grin pulling on her lips. ''So every time you kiss my head now, I know that you want to kiss me.''
Brittany just hums and chuckles. ''Well it won't be just your head anymore.'' She laughs as she hears Santana's stomach grumble and pecks her lips. ''Food first?''
Santana nods her head with a sheepish smile and sits up wrapping her arm around Brittany's waist before she can pull away completely, she just spreads her legs pulling her between them and reaches for the basket pulling it right beside her.
She pulls out two containers handing Brittany the chocolate covered strawberries and blushes as she looks at her with an eyebrow raised and a small smirk. ''Not what you think, mind out of the gutter Britt-Britt.''
Brittany laughs placing the container beside her and leans back against Santana's front slowly allowing herself to relax even though she never sat in someone's embrace before, she watches her open a container with sandwiches and hums softly as the smell immediately fills her senses. ''Damn that smells amazing.''
Santana just smiles placing the container in Britt's lap and holds up a sandwich for her. ''I hope you like Tandoori Chicken.''
''Never had it before.'' Brittany murmurs with a shrug, she turns her head and kisses her cheek as she feels her arm wrap around her waist. ''Smells amazing though, I am sure I will love it.''
Santana just smiles running her thumb over the sliver of skin between the jeans and button up she wears and locks eyes with her. ''Dig in Britt-Britt.''
