On the outskirts of the city, Gong sat in a meadow, meditating. He loved this spot, as it was far away enough for the noise of the city not to annoy him. Just him, the breeze, and...
"Hey, move it or lose it!"
Gong opened one eye, spotting a short, spiky haired teen wielding a sword, which he was pointing at him.
"Didn't your mother ever tell you not to point?"
"Didn't your mother tell you not to take someone else's spot? I need this spot to practice my swordplay."
"So? Just move to another area, there's more than enough room in this meadow for the two of us."
"I said move! Or do you want to duel me for it? Loser has to leave for good!"
Sighing with annoyance, Gong drew his duel disk and stood up.
"Only if it'll get you to shut up."

Kit: 4000
"Gong will take the first turn! I summon Superheavy Samurai Kabuto (1000/2000) in attack mode! Your move."
"That's it? Let me show you how a real duelist does it. I summon XX-Saber Boggart Knight (1900/1000) in attack mode! And when he's normal summoned, I can special summon a level 4 or lower X-Saber from my hand, like XX-Saber Fullhelm Knight (1300/1000)!"
"That was a bad move. Since you special summoned a monster, I can switch Kabuto into defense mode, and he gains 500 defense points (2000-2500)."
"Then its a good thing I have this. Since I have at least two X-Sabers on the field, I can bring out XX-Saber Faultroll (2400/1800) in attack mode! Now pay close attention, because this is gonna get complicated real quick. First, I tune Boggart Knight with Fullhelm Knight in order to Synchro Summon X-Saber Souza (2500/1600) in attack mode! And if you thought one was bad, then get a load of this. First, Faultroll's effect lets me bring back Fullhelm Knight, which I'll then use to give Faultroll a tune up and summon XX-Saber Gottoms (3100/2600) in attack mode! Gottoms, attack his Kabuto!"
"I activate the effect of my Superheavy Samurai Soulfire Suit! By discarding it, my Kabuto can't be destroyed by battle this turn in exchange for 800 defense points."
"Hey, you're not to bad! I set two cards face down and end my turn."
"You're not too bad yourself. Since my graveyard is devoid of backrow, I can special summon Superheavy Samurai Big Waraji! And he counts as two tributes for a machine type monster, so say goodbye to Big Waraji and hello to Big Benkei!"
"So what? Even if he does let you summon him in defense mode, he can't attack!"

The larger robot smashed his fist into the ground, sending a plume of lava out that consumed Souza, forcing Kit to shield himself from the blast.

"Now Kabuto, attack his Gottoms!"
The smaller samurai twirled his hammer around before smashing the commander into the ground.
Kit: 2400
"Gong ends his turn."
"You made some good moves Gong, but its time I wrapped this up. First, I summon XX-Saber Ragigura (200/1000) in attack mode, and with his effect I return Faultroll to my hand. Next, I activate my face down, Gottoms' Emergency Call. With one X-Saber on the field, I can call out two more to join the party, like Souza and Gottoms."
Gong snorted unimpressed as his monsters returned to their place.
"But wait, there's more! Remember, with at least two of my X-Sabers on the field, I can bring out Faultroll as well. And with his effect, I can bring back Fullhelm Knight, who I'll tune with Faultroll to bring out my second Gottoms! And just so you don't pull out any more surprises, I'll tribute Ragigura to get rid of a card in your hand due to Gottoms number 1's effect!"
Gottoms raised his sword high, absorbing the reptile before launching it at Gong's hand, bathing the card on the far right in a purple glow and forcing Gong to discard it.
"Next, I activate the spell card Saber Slash! Since I have three X-Sabers in attack position, you can say bye bye to your entire line of defense!"
The three warriors brought their swords together before breaking them apart, sending shockwaves that destroyed Gong's entire field.
"Uh oh."
"This is it, Gong! Attack him directly, my monsters!"
Gong simply crossed his arms, taking the blows like a champ as his life points depleted.
Gong: 0000
Kit wins!
Gong simply bowed to his opponent, honored to have been defeated by such strong plays.
"Gong never goes back on his word. I'll leave you alone."
"Wait! Look, maybe I overreacted a bit. As long as you stay out of my way, I guess we can both use the space."
"I'd like that."
Just then, Kit's duel disk began blinking, indicating he had an incoming phone call. Confused, he pressed the button, bringing up Julia's face.
"Hey Julia, what's up?"
"Hey Kit. Look, I have something I need to talk to you about in private. Can you meet me at our usual spot? And if you can, call Dipper for me."
"Yeah, no problem. Be there in 30 minutes."
"Thanks Kit."
With that, Julia hung up. Kit put his duel disk away before turning to Gong.
"Nice meeting you, but I've got to go. But hey, swing by LDS sometime. I'd love to have a rematch, maybe even give you some pointers."
"I'd appreciate that. Will I be seeing you in the tournament?"
"Count on it."
