Imprint

(With Jacob)

Jacob was sitting in his bed recalling the talk he had with his father the night before.

[Jacob had walked into his house and saw that his dad was in the living room. He walked over to him and sat down in the chair. Billy noticed his son sit down and saw that he needed to talk.

"Dad I imprinted on someone." He told him.

"That is good Jake. Do you know their name?" He asked.

"Not yet. He looks to be around ten. He was with an older person who looked like a relative." Jacob thought with a smile before he frowned when he remembered what the black haired man had called his imprint.

"What is wrong?" He asked.

"The man with my imprint had called him cub." He said.

"That is strange. I wonder why. What are you going to do now?" He asked.

"I don't know. It's not like I can go up to the kid and say hey I am Jacob and guess what? I imprinted on you. Yeah I'm sure that would go over well." He pouted.

"You have a point. I don't know what I can tell you to do. I would at least try and find out his name." He said.

"I will try, I guess." Billy rolled his eyes at his son. "Did you ask Charlie if he was coming to the cookout?"

"I did. He said that he might come over but he was in the middle of getting his daughter's punishment finalized." He said.

"He is actually punishing her?" He asked.

"Yeah. It is about time. If he does come I'll ask if he knows if there has been anyone to move to Forks recently." He said.

"Okay."

"Cheer up Jake. You finally found your imprint." Jacob smiled at that, causing Billy to also smile.]

Jacob sighed knowing that there wasn't much he could do about his imprint. He could only hope that Charlie knew who it was and actually came to the cookout this weekend. He flopped back on his bed and fell asleep.

(Alaska with the Denali clan)

Alice was helping Kate fix the plumbing in the kitchen since the pipes were frozen solid. Alice turned her head towards the living room and shook her head. She couldn't believe that Edward was still fighting.

Alice sighed as she went back to work. She knew that her brother wanted to talk but since they were vampires they could work until they needed to feed and that wouldn't be for another week.

Edward on the other hand was trying to fight off Eleazar and Tanya. He had once again tried for the ninth time to escape.

"Get off me!" Edward yelled.

"No."

"Why not?"

"Because you will only go back and continue to disobey Carlisle and you haven't learned from your mistakes." Tanya said as she pinned down Edward's arms as Eleazar pinned down his legs.

"I don't care." He growled.

"I don't get it. Why are you acting this way for a human? I thought that you cared more for your family but I guess I was wrong. At least your sister knows what she had done was wrong and is trying to make up for it. You on the other hand are acting like a child who had his favorite toy taken away." She asked.

"I love her." He said.

"What about your family?" She asked.

"Huh?" He stopped fighting and looked at her in confusion.

"Don't you love your family?" She asked.

"Yeah."

"They care about you but they want you to know that you are making a mistake. Not to mention that you are helping this human to be bad. Did you know that she has been ignoring her parents, coming home late or not at all, and that she has skipped school when you have?" Tanya asked.

"No, I didn't know that." At this point the other two vampires let him go and Eleazar left the room. "She constantly talks about both her parents. Was it all a lie?"

"Yeah. Carlisle told me that she has been ignoring her father unless she wanted him and found out that she hasn't called her mother or even contacted her in a while." She informed him.

"Do you mind if I go into the next room alone please?" He asked.

"Go ahead. Just remember that escaping is impossible." Edward nodded and went into the next room.

(With Charlie)

Charlie was leaving for work when he saw Teddy fall down the front steps and onto the sidewalk below. He quickly ran over to see if he was alright.

"Are you okay?" He asked.

"No, I think I twisted my ankle and my knees are bleeding." He said as he tried not to cry.

"I'm going to pick you up. Is your brother home?" He asked.

"Yeah." Charlie nodded as he carried Teddy to the door.

Before Charlie knocked the door flew open and revealed a very worried Harry.

"Teddy what happened?" Harry asked as he grabbed his brother from Charlie.

"I tripped and fell down the steps and landed on my knees." Teddy had lost the fight and started to cry.

"Let's get you to the hospital then." He walked over to the car and placed Teddy into it before getting in. "Thank you Charlie."

"You're welcome." Charlie watched as they drove off.

He turned around and went to work. Meanwhile Harry was trying to keep Teddy calm while he was driving.

"It's okay cub. We will get there soon." He said.

"I know but it hurts." He sniffled.

Harry parked the car and grabbed Teddy before heading inside. Fortunately it was slow at the hospital and they were sent to a room right away. Harry had just placed his brother on the exam table when the door opened to reveal a familiar young blond doctor.

"Hello Dr. Cullen."

"Ah hello Harry, Teddy. What brings you two here today?" He asked.

"Teddy tripped and fell down the front steps and landed on his knees." Harry answered.

"Well let me see what is wrong then." He started to examine Teddy. "Teddy has some cuts on his knees and his right ankle is twisted. I will clean out the cuts and bandage them and then I'll get you a pair of crutches so that you don't put any weight on that ankle."

"Ok."

When Carlisle returned with the crutches they left the hospital. Harry decided that Teddy should have a treat so drove off to Cross road alley to get some wizard ice cream and whatever else Teddy wanted.

"What kind of ice cream do you want?" He asked.

"Cockroach cluster ice cream."

Harry made a face as he ordered Teddy's ice cream as well as cherry blossoms for himself. He never understood why Teddy liked cockroach clusters in the first place. They sat down to enjoy their treat.

"What do you want to get after we finish up our ice cream?" He asked.

"I heard that the bookstore has books on werewolves and their magic. Fred and George have already gotten me a lot but not the ones on their magic." Teddy answered.

Harry nodded. "Alright then let's finish up and then we'll go to the bookstore." Teddy nodded and dug into his treat.

They soon finished and they headed off to the bookstore. Harry left Teddy to go search for the book while he himself went looking in the muggle section for more recipe books. Teddy found his book and waited for Harry near the counter. A few minutes later Harry finally came to the counter with three books. He paid for them and Teddy's book and then they left to go back home.

"Big brother?"

"Yeah?"

"Can we have mum and dad come over?" He asked.

"Of course. I will put you on the couch, grab our things and then I will floo-call them." Teddy nodded.

Harry grabbed Teddy as soon as he parked the car and then placed him on the couch in front of the fireplace. He placed the crutches on the coffee table before he left to go grab the books. He gave Teddy his book and then went into the kitchen and placed the recipe books on the shelf next to the other ones. He then called Molly and Arthur.

Molly was in the kitchen with Fleur while Arthur and Bill were in the living room. Bill saw Harry's head in the fireplace and quickly told his dad and then went to the kitchen to inform his mother and wife.

"Good afternoon Harry."

"Afternoon dad."

"Harry dear, it is good to see you." Molly said as soon as she entered the living room.

"You too mum. Oh hey Fleur, Bill."

"Harry." They both said well Fleur said "'Arry."

"Teddy wants mum and dad to come over. Since you two are here you can come over too." Harry then explained that Teddy was injured, how, and why.

"Oh the poor dear. We will be over soon." Molly said.

Harry ended the call and then stepped back and waited for them to come through. Molly was the first to come through. She went over and hugged her youngest son. As she hugged him the others came through.

"Oh sweetie are you alright?" She asked.

"Yeah."

"Don't worry mum. I plan on writing Sev a letter. That way he can brew the right potion for Teddy." Harry assured her.

"That is good." She smiled.

"Anyway, why don't you guys hang out with Teddy while I finalize the menu for the bakery." They all nodded and Harry went into the kitchen.

"That poor boy works too hard. Teddy dear, I am going to go help him. Don't let your father touch anything muggle." She left as everyone laughed, even Arthur.

"Big brother, can you tell me another story of Egypt?" He asked.

"Of course, little brother." Fleur and Bill sat down on either side of Teddy and then Bill started telling Teddy about the time he was trapped in a tomb with a cursed mummy.

Harry looked up when he heard the door open but then looked right back down at his work. This caused Molly to sigh.

"What is wrong sweetheart?" She asked.

"Nothing." He lied.

"Harry, I have known you since you were eleven years old and I am your mum. I know that something is wrong."

Harry sighed. "I...well...I am in love." Molly smiled.

"I see. What is the problem then?" Molly asked as she sat down.

"He lives next door and he is a muggle sheriff. According to Teddy I am the first guy he has ever been attracted to. What if he isn't gay?" He asked.

"If he is attracted to you then he most likely is into guys sweetie." Harry laid his head on her shoulder.

"I guess. Anyway, want to help?"

"Of course." The two started to plan the menu and the design of the menu.

Meanwhile Charlie was on the phone with Bella's school. They were telling him that she was failing all but one of her classes.

"I see. I will make sure that her homework gets done when she gets home from picking up trash around the school." Charlie said and then hung up the phone.

"What's wrong Charlie?" Undersheriff Anderson asked his boss and friend.

"It's Bella. You remember that I told you that she was dating Edward Cullens?" Anderson nodded and Charlie explained everything.

"Wow. Good punishment though." He said.

"Thank you. Now I find out that all the classes that she has without that boy she is failing." He said.

"Have her tutor a child with special needs until her grades pick up." He suggested.

Charlie grinned. "That would be perfect. I will. Thanks Mark."

"You're welcome."

Charlie called the school back and they agreed to it. Instead of a free period Bella would go to the tutoring room and be assigned to a child. She would be supervised of course but hopefully her grades will pick up as well as her attitude.

Charlie then called Renee and informed her of what he had done. Renee also thought that the punishment was perfect. Renee like Charlie were wondering what they had done wrong that Bella was acting like this. Charlie hung up and went back to work.
