Last Time Ash, and the gang helped a bunch of Sandiles save everyone from geysers, Ash also gets himself an egg, and the shades wearing leader of the Sandiles takes an interest in him, what could that be about?
After the encounter with all those Sandile, Ash, and the gang decided to camp out for the night before heading off to Nacrene City, we're just gonna skip to when they arrive.
"Nacrene city, this place has a rather old timey feel" Cilan said.
"You know I'm most excited about?" Ash asked.
"Food?" Iris guessed.
"No, well yes, but I'm more excited about the second gym!" Ash said.
'That's surprising' commented Pikachu.
"This City does have one of the best gyms" Cilan said.
"But, first things first" Ash said, suddenly serious. "Let's go eat!"
"I thought you were more excited about the gym" Iris said.
"And now I'm more hungry than before" Ash said.
Cilan found somewhere to eat, and instead of ordering food like a normal person, he brought out a cooking set from no where, and some delicious food.
"Man this looks great Cilan" Iris commented.
'Looks yummy' said her Axew that no one could understand.
"And tastes great too"
'Just like Brock'
Ash, and the gang, and the gang's pokemon ate, they then finished, and decided to take a walk around town, but then.
"Hey what's that?" Cilan asked.
"It's a gathering of some sorts" Iris said.
"Hmm, what could it be about" Ash questioned, puzzled.
"Let's go check it out" Cilan said.
The gathering was around a bunch of gingers wearing knight armor, each with a black and white emblem with a lightning bolt down the middle, and a P, the only exception was green haired man wearing a white shirt, and a baseball cap, he spoke up.
"People of Nacrene City, we Team Plasma are here today to tell you the true meaning of pokemon, and humans"
People were confused, mumbling to themselves as the mysterious man kept talking.
"Pokemon, and humans are suppose to coexist, not as slaves, or pets, or battlers, but our friends"
Ash was also confused, but also a little mad, this guy was sitting here just telling people to give up on there own pokemon, just like that.
"So please, stop being so selfish, stop enslaving our friends, let them roam the Earth on their own, they don't need you"
At that people were releasing their pokemon, Lillipups, Pidoves, Patrats, all these pokemon now without a home, Ash at this point was fuming, these Team Plasma guys, they were taking people, and their pokemon away from each other.
"Hey Ash are you okay?" Iris asked.
'Yeah, you seem mad about something' Pikachu added.
"These people, what do they think they're doing, taking people, and pokemon apart from each other?! There's a bond there, it should be shared, and loved!"
"Ash, you're shouting, you're gonna draw attention to yourself" Cilan warned.
*sigh* "You know what, fine maybe they're just misguided, but I want to show them that not everyone's like that" Ash thiught for a bit, "Alright I'm gonna go talk to them after this, then maybe we can come to terms" Ash suggested.
With Team Plasma…
"Master N, how was the speech" asked a grunt.
"Perfect, our ideals have been spread" answered N.
"What is next for Team Plasma"
"We advance to Castelia City, to spread our ideals further"
"Hey Team Plasma!" said a familiar boy.
"Ash, wait up!" said a green haired man.
"Ash, champion of the Sinnoh league, what are you doing here?"
"I'm here to challenge the Unova league, who are you, and why are you telling people to abandon their pokemon!?"
"I am N, and we are not telling people to "abandon" their pokemon, because they're not their's in the first place, pokemon aren't things, they are our friends"
"Yeah, but that doesn't mean that we should release them!"
"But then how else can they be happy?"
'What do you mean? We can be happy just fine!' Pikachu yelled out.
"But have you ever experienced true freedom, to be free outside of your pokeball" N suddenly spoke to Pikachu.
'Whoa, it's like you understand me'
"Well because I do Pikachu"
"Wait you can understand pokemon?" Ash asked.
"Yes" Answered N. "I have since I was a child, I've always wanted to help them out, to protect them from humans"
Ash thought for a bit, this guy was going completely against his own ideals, but this guy cared about pokemon, and he didn't seem to be the one to hurt one either, Ash then spoke.
"Hmm you have a point, I want to help pokemon too, but we don't have to release them"
"How about you join me, we both care about pokemon, and while you aren't fully enlightened, I'm sure you, and me will be great friends" And if you do, then you'll be a valuable asset, with your champion position, and all
"I'm not gonna join you, but I want you to know that not all pokemon want to be released"
'Yeah, Ash is my best friend, I won't ever leave him' Pikachu spoke up.
"Then prove it, one pokemon isn't enough" N press.
"Okay then, Oshawott come on out"
'Hello! Um where are we?' The little otter asked.
"You are in Nacrene City little one, and I want to know about your experiences" N asked.
'Alright weird man, well you see I was born in a'
"Okay, just tell me your experience with Ash"
'Okay then, well you see I was a starter to be picked by a new trainer one day, but I never was picked, but then Ash came along, and finally I could go on the great adventure I always wanted to'
"Okay, what did you do on this great adventure"
'Well, I battled, and won, once, no twice, and also loss twice, that wasn't very fun'
"Um, what did he say?" Ash asked.
"Simple, he said he lost twice, and felt useless because of it"
"What?! Oshawott, your not useless"
'Yeah, I never said that!?'
"That's what I heard"
"You know what how about another pokemon" Ash suggested.
"Okay"
Ash threw up Snivy's pokeball, and out came the little snake.
"Snivy"
"Hello little Snivy"
'Hello, I guess'
"I am N, I want to know about your experience with Ash"
'Okay, not something you get asked everyday, well it all started when I was looking for food-' Snivy continued telling her story, N listening intently began to see his own points being satisfied more and more.
"Okay then, you mentioned you were living in the streets of Straiton city, right?" N asked.
'Yes' Snivy responed.
"Okay then, how did you get there?"
That questioned made Snivy remember something, something she hadn't wanted to think about for a while.
"It's okay, you don't have to tell me"
"Snivy are you okay?"
'Yes, I'm fine'
'You don't seem fine' Oshawott interjected.
'I'm telling you I'm fine!' Snivy said quite loudly.
"Um, guys don't fight now"
"Well, it seems that your Snivy, has quite a traumatic past, plus those Team Rocket people are definitely thieves"
"But not everyone's like that!"
"But a lot of people are, and pokemon would be better off released"
"Grr"
"Ash I think he might be right, in a way" Cilan said.
"I mean I guess" said Iris.
But then all of a sudden, a smoke bomb went off, blinding everybody, then a masked man, jumped down from the sky, who was this mystery man?
The air was foggy, impossible to see through, all Ash could think of was to call out for Pikachu.
"Pikachu, where are ya?" Ash called out.
'I'm over here!' The mouse responded.
*cough* *cough* "Who are you, and why have you come here?" N asked the mysterious figure in the center of all this chaos.
"I go by many names, but you may call me Missile, I am from Team Rocket, and here to stop you from stopping our plans" This Missile guy was dressed top to bottom in a black Team Rocket uniform, enhanced with protective armor on his hands of feet, he also had a brown worn helmet with long white hair sticking out from the back.
"What are you gonna do to us?" Ash asked.
"I won't do anything to you, it is N I am hunting, Bisharp take him out" Missile threw out a pokeball, which spat out his Bisharp.
"Bisharp!"
"Now now friend, there's no need to fight" N said.
"Take them out" Missile ordered.
"Grunts, prepare to fight"
"Yes sir" The grunts followed.
"This battle looks like it's gonna be a tough one" Cilan said.
"Yeah maybe we should leave" Iris suggested.
"But we can't just leave him here, that guy's gonna kill N!" Ash said.
The grunt's pokemon were no match for Missiles Bisharp, as he let out a barrage of night slashes, and iron heads, he quickly got to N, but before he could attack him, Ash's Pikachu, used thunderbolt on Bisharp, causing him to stumble back a bit.
'Get away from him!' Pikachu yelled at Bisharp.
'Why do you care about him so much? You barely know him' Bisharp asked.
'Because taking life's just wrong!' Oshawott spoke up.
'Also, cause you smoke bombed us' Snivy said too.
"Bisharp take them out as well" Missile ordered.
'Pleasure' Bisharp prepared a guillotine, and shot towards Pikachu.
"Pikachu!" Ash ran towards his best friend's attacker, and knocked him out of the way, the guillotine cutting a part of his leg.
"Pikapi!"
"Ash! Are you okay?!" Cilan asked concerned for obvious reasons.
"Yeah, I'm fine"
"Guillotine again" Missile ordered.
"Oshawott water gun! Snivy Leaf tornado! Pikachu Thunder bolt!"
The attacks hit Bisharp, but he just shrugged them off, and used guillotine on Snivy, knocking her to unconsciousness.
"Snivy Return!" Ash recalled Snivy back into her pokeball, Bisharp prepared another guillotine, but before he could use it, a hammer arm hit him square in the chest, the attack came from a Golurk, but whise Golurk.
"Golurk, another Hammer Arm" It was N, Golurk used Hammer arm again on Bisharp, but he retaliated, using a night slash to deal super effective damage, Golurk stumbled back a bit, before using Shadow ball, Bisharp got hit again, he was getting weaker now.
"Guillotine" Missile called out once more.
"Earthquake" N ordered.
The two pokemon used their moves at the same time, and when the dust settled, Bisharp was down on the ground fainted, while Golurk stood, victorious.
"Drat, Bisharp return!" Missile called Bisharp back to his pokeball.
"You leave this place, and go back to Team Rocket, tell them Team Plasma will reign supreme"
"Tell Team Plasma, that they're nothing but a bunch of cowards, who hide behind pokemon, for "morals" I've got business to attend to, see you later"
Missile then activated his jetpack from his enhanced suit, and flew off.
"Well that did not go as planned" Ash said.
'I hope Snivy's okay' Oshawott wished.
'I wonder who that Missile guy is' Pikachu said.
"Ash, we should probably get to a pokemon center" Cilan said.
"You know what, maybe I can help you" N said suddenly.
"Huh but why?" Iris asked.
'Yeah, why do you want to help Ash?' Axew asked.
"Well little Axew, when Ash defended Pikachu from that guillotine, I saw that perhaps not every trainer is evil" N answered.
"Wow that wasn't blunt" Iris said sarcastically.
"I'll help you find the pokemon center, you probably can't walk very far with that cut leg of yours"
"Thanks N, but I still think pokemon, and humans should coexist" Ash said.
"And I still think they shouldn't, but thanks to you I guess not all trainers are bad"
"And not all trainers are good either"
"Well all's well that ends well" Iris said.
"Yep, and who wants dinner!?" Cilan asked.
"Me!" Iris, and Ash said simultaneously.
Back with Team Rocket…
"Boom, I win again" Jessie said excitedly.
"You alway win" Meowth said.
"This game's getting kid of boring now" James said.
The door to their secret hideout opened up, and in came Missile.
"Hey Derik, how'd the mission go?" Meowth asked.
"Failed" Missile A.K.A. Derik answered.
Derik took off his helmet to reveal a white man, with red eyes, and messy white hair.
"Oh how come?" James asked.
"Some kid came in, and protected N giving him enough time to send out a Golurk, I had him too" Derik replied.
"You wouldn't be talking about that twerp now would you?" Jessie asked.
"I think his name was Ash or something"
"Of course" Meowth said.
"Better get ready for tomorrow, the boss won't be too happy about this" Derik said, he then put his helmet back on before leaving the hideout to go do some training, or something else who knows.
Meanwhile at the pokemon center…
"Nurse Joy, how's Snivy doing?" Ash asked.
"She's doing just fine, in fact, she's fully healed" Nurse Joy answered, she then gave Ash Snivy's pokeball.
"Thanks Nurse Joy" Ash then let out Snivy, and the Oshawott let himself out.
'Hi Snivy, are you doing better' the Otter asked.
'Well I'm not dead, so I guess I am' said the snake.
'Good to hear that' Pikachu said.
Later that night…
'Hey Snivy' said Axew.
'Huh, what is it Axew?' Snivy asked.
'Well I was wondering how did you end up on your own anyway?' the little dragon asked.
'It's a long story'
'It's okay, I'll still listen'
'I just don't really wanna tell you'
'Alright, fine if you don't want to, that's okay'
'Yeah why don't you go back to sleep, wouldn't want to wake up all grumpy, and stuff'
'Okay, good night Snivy'
'Good night Axew' Axew then went back over to Iris, and went fast asleep, Snivy then thought for a bit.
*flashback*
I've got to leave, I can't take it anymore! A Snivy thought, she was battered, and tired, she had ran away from her trainer, she was still holding her pokeball, she then used a vine whip to pick it up, and smash it on the ground, she then ran into an alleyway, then a white haired teenager ran past, yelling her name, but Snivy did not care, she was free now, there was nothing to worry about.
