Curse

It was a couple hours later before Harry woke. He sat up confused before the memories rushed back to him. He was startled by the chuckle next to him.

"Good morning sunshine." Kingsley said as he put his book down.

"How long have I been out?" He asked.

"A couple hours." He answered.

"Hmm. Thanks Kingsley." He said.

"You are welcome, Harry."

Harry smiled as he stood up. "Want anything to drink?"

"No thanks Harry."

"Alright." He went to the kitchen to get some water.

"When will the sheriff come back?" Kingsley asked.

"I think five or six o'clock." He said.

"I see. What about the other two?" He asked.

"They come back at three." He answered.

"I see. I want to talk to her father alone." Kingsley told Harry.

"Teddy will be getting a snack when he gets back. Then he does his muggle homework before doing his wizarding homework. Bella has to change before going to go pick up trash." He informed him.

"Perfect. Now why is she picking up trash?" He asked in confusion.

"She is being punished." He said.

"Oh."

Harry laughed as he grabbed the books from his bakery. He was going over it to make sure the quick quill got it right.

(Time skip- 5 o'clock)

Charlie entered the house. Harry quickly made his way over to him.

"Kingsley wants to talk to you. Alone." He said.

"Why?" He asked.

"Go see for yourself." Harry went to the kitchen to go check on Teddy… and to get away from giving Charlie the bad news before Kingsley could tell him.

"Okay then?" Charlie said in confusion before going to the living room. "Harry said you wanted to talk to me?"

"I do. Please sit down first." He said.

"Okay." Charlie said, getting worried.

"You are a wizard, right?" He asked.

"Right." He nodded.

"What about your daughter?" He asked.

"She is a squib, why?"

"When I was in the kitchen this morning I sensed that something magical was affecting her." Kingsley revealed.

"WHAT!?" He stood up in shock.

"The magic seems to be that of a curse." Kingsley continued. "Do you have any cursed objects around that you forgot about?"

"No! I never had any cursed objects here." He answered.

"Do you know when she started to act differently?" He asked.

"About five months ago." He said.

"During that time did she receive or buy something that she wears all the time?" He asked.

"Not that…. wait yes. A friend of hers back in Phoenix sent a beaded bracelet that she found and sent it to Bella. She said that the bracelet reminded her of Bella." Charlie said, remembering how happy she had been to hear from her friend again.

"She wears this bracelet all the time?" He asked.

"Yes she does." He said.

"When does she get back?" He asked.

"In an hour. Why?" Charlie asked, worried for his daughter.

"I need to take a look at this bracelet. It might be what is affecting her." He said.

"Alright. I want to be there though." He said.

"Of course you can be there. It will be better if you are." Kingsley said in agreement.

"Thank you."

"You are welcome. Harry!"

Harry entered the room. "Yes?"

"In an hour you need to keep Teddy out of the living room." He said.

"Okay. Teddy and I were planning on cooking anyway." Harry said with a shrug.

"Good."

"Did you want anything pacific?" Harry asked Charlie.

"No. Cook whatever you want." He said.

"Okay. How is spaghetti with meatballs, garlic bread, and parmesan cheese sound?" He asked.

Their stomachs growled causing them both to blush. Harry chuckled and walked back to the kitchen.

"Guess that is my answer." He said with a wide grin.

"Shut up Harry." Kingsley said.

"Of course Kingsley. As soon as your stomachs quit growling." He said.

"I hate you right now."

"No you don't." Harry said smugly.

"Brat." Kingsley mumbled causing Charlie to chuckle.

"Yes I am." Harry called from the kitchen surprising them.

"I hate when he does that." He grumbled.

"How does he do it?" He asked.

"I have no idea. He has bat ears." He said.

"No I don't." Harry said.

"Stop that!" Kingsley snapped.

"Nope!"

(Time Skip- Bella returns home)

"Bella, could you come into the living room?"

"Sure?" Curious as to what her faggot father wanted she went into the living room.

"I'm sorry Bella." Before she could respond everything went black.

"Place her on the couch. Sorry that you had to knock her out." Kingsley said.

"I know but we need her to be still and like I said earlier she might not let us see." Kingsley nodded.

"Okay now to examine this bracelet." He said.

Charlie lifted her arm up and removed the bracelet before handing it off to Kingsley. As soon as he had it Kingsley knew immediately that it was cursed. He ran a spell to tell him what curse was on it.

"It is a personality curse." He said.

"Isn't that the curse that makes you have a bad personality? Makes you a horrible person?" He asked.

"Yes it is."

"Thank goodness. That means that we can remove the curse and without the curse Bella should return to normal, right?" He asked.

"Right." He waved his wand and muttered the counter spell.

Once the curse was removed Bella glowed a soft red for a few moments. Charlie breathed out a sigh of relief. Now his daughter would be back to normal. She wouldn't be a brat anymore.

"What are you going to tell her?" The minister of Britain asked.

"I will tell her that she tripped down the stairs and hit her head. Hopefully she buys it." He said.

"Hopefully. I will be in the kitchen." Charlie nodded and sat down in his chair to wait.

It wasn't long before his daughter woke up. "Dad?"

"Oh Bells you're okay." He said in relief.

"Okay? What happened?" She asked.

"You tripped walking down the stairs and hit your head. You started acting weird for a few months. Don't you remember?" He asked.

"No. Acting weird?" She looked up at him in confusion.

"Skipping class, failing class, missing curfew, lying, the list goes on. Your mother came down to help us." He answered.

"I did what?" Bella asked, horrified.

"You even became obsessed over Edward." He said.

"That isn't right. I was going to break up with him." She said.

"Say what now?" He looked at her in surprise.

"I realized that I didn't like him that way anymore and I think it was the same with him." He said.

"I see. Well after I punished you and Edward was sent off to his cousin's house you called him a lot. You came home after picking up trash and fainted." He said.

"Picking up trash?" She asked.

"Your mother and I were very inventive with your punishment. You rest and I will call your mom to tell her the good news." He said.

"Okay." She laid back down.

Charlie walked into the kitchen and grabbed Bella's cell phone and called Rene. "Bella?"

"No it's me. I have great news. The reason why Bella was acting strange was because of a cursed piece of jewelry. That bracelet her friend had given her was actually cursed and changed her personality. She doesn't remember being bad." He said.

"What did you tell her?" She asked.

"I told her that she tripped coming down the stairs and hit her head. She started acting weird. When she asked I told her of her actions. She was horrified. I then told her that she fainted when she came home today." He told her.

"Put her on."

"Of course." He handed the phone to Bella and went back into the kitchen.
