Last Time, Team Rocket finally managed to spy on Team Plasma, and get caught, but they still learned about N, and found out about his speech tomorrow, and his ideals, and then they told Giovanni, who sends over a new guy, Ash arrives in Nacrene only to hear N's speech which enrages him, he confronts N about this, and it seems Snivy is hiding a little something, but then the civil disagreement was interrupted by a mysterious masked figure from Team Rocket, who goes by Missile, luckily he is defeated, he returns back to base where he finds out his real name's Derik, that's neat.

"Alright, Nacrene City Gym here we come!"

Ash was getting ready to challenge Nacrene City, the thing he meant to do yesterday, but due to his run in with Team Plasma, and also Missile, he had to postpone his gym battle, until now!

'Oh yeah second gym battle! Maybe this time I won't faint' Oshawott said.

'Don't worry, I'm sure you won't' Pikachu reassured.

'And if you're about to faint, then I can always come in to save you' Snivy said.

'Yay another gym battle, the last one was pretty exciting, so I can't wait to see this one!' Axew said excitedly.

"Looks like Axew, and the others are pretty excited" Iris said.

"Gym battles always get me worked up too" Cilan added.

"Alright gang, let's go!"

Nacrene City Gym…

"Alright, I'd like to challenge the Nacrene City Gym!" Ash announced, as he rushed in, but all there were was just a bunch of books, and a few people around.

"Huh did we walk into the wrong place" Iris asked.

"I don't know this is the place" Cilan said, confused.

"Aren't you a gym leader though?" Iris asked.

"That doesn't mean I have to know the layout of everyone else's gym"

While Cilan, and Iris where talking, Ash decided to ask around for clues, eventually he asked the right person, she seemed to know all about the place.

"I know what you're looking for" she said.

"Really?" Ash asked.

"Why yes, your Ash Ketchum after all, you only ever travel to fight gyms"

"Everyone knows"

"Well, I know the gym leader of this place, so I can get in contact with her"

"Really you know where she is"

"You're looking right at her"

"Oh, sorry, I hadn't realized"

"Ah don't worry about it, I'm Lenora by the way"

"Okay then, so where do we battle anyway?"

"Over there behind those doors, is a battle field, you might wanna go get your two friends first though"

"Alright, I'm warning you though, we're pretty tough"

"Makes sense, you are the guy who beat a Darkrai"

Ash got Iris, and Cilan, who were still bickering, and entered the battle field, where Ash got ready to battle.

"Trainers, send out your pokemon!" said the Referee.

"Oshawott, let's go!"

"Lillipup come out!"

"Trainers, begin!"

"Alright Oshawott use razor shell"

"Dodge it"

Oshawott lunged at Lillipup with his razor shell, but it dodged out of the way.

"Counter with a bite!"

Lillipup bit Oshawott on the hand, causing him to yelp in pain.

'Dag that hurts so much' Oshawott said in pain.

"Oshawott break free with a water gun"

Oshawott squirted water in Lillipup's face causing it to let go, and stumble back.

"Razor shell!"

"Roar!"

"Roar?" Iris said. "Wait but doesn't that move switched out the opposing person's pokemon?"

"Yep, looks like Oshawott will have to retreat"

'Oh good roar, I don't wanna be in this anyway' Oshawott said as the roar sent him back, and out came Pikachu, he just kinda got pushed in.

"Darn, Pikachu you wanna battle?"

'Whoa, alright then, let's do this'

"Okay Pikachu, give them a taste of your Iron tail"

"Dodge it"

Lillipup tried to dodge, but Pikachu was too fast, smacking the little dog right in the forehead, knocking it out.

"Lillipup is unable to battle, Pikachu wins!" said the ref.

"Alright fine, Watchog, come out!"

"Watchog"

"Alright Pikachu, you wanna keep battling"

'Nah, I'd rather not'

"Okay then, Oshawott is a little low, so Snivy it is!"

"Sni"

"Begin!"

"Watchog Confuse ray!"

"Swagger!"

"A confusion battle this will be an interesting mix" Cilan said.

The attacks hit at the same time, causing Watchog to become reckless, and Snivy to get disorientated.

"Watchog, Crunch!"

"Dodge it!"

Watchog shot at Snivy, meanwhile she misinterpreted Ash's dodge command, as telling her to use Vine whip, anyway Watchog Crunched Snivy, while her vines did nothing because they're made out of grass.

"Watchog another Crunch!"

Watchog went for it, but tripped, onto his face.

"Snivy Leaf Tornado"

This time Snivy did what Ash asked, firing a Leaf tornado at Watchog, sending him flying.

"Watchog, use a hypnosis"

Watchog stared down at Snivy, swirls in his eyes.

"Snivy don't look at it"

Snivy still confused, instead used Swagger again, which had no effect since Watchog was still confused, meanwhile Watchog was still using hypnosis, Snivy was getting tired now, she then fell asleep.

"Uh oh, Snivy re-" Ash was about to recall Snivy but.

"Mean Look!" Lenora ordered real quick.

Watchog used Mean Look on Snivy, locking her to the battle field, don't know how you mean look a sleeping pokemon, but oh well.

"How does that even work!?"

"Don't know, Watchog just take her out anyway you want"

Watchog finally broke out of confusion, and basically just beat up poor old Snivy, with no chance for her to retaliate, she then fainted, while asleep, how do people even tell?

"Snivy is unable to battle, Watchog wins"

*sigh* "Okay, Snivy you deserve a good rest"

"Be careful of you send out now, you lose this next fight, you lose the gym"

'Darn Snivy, was suppose to come in, and save me!' Oshawott said.

'Well I guess I did that for you' Pikachu said.

'Alright, to pay her back, I'll go!'

'But aren't you still weak?'

'Yeah, but I only took one Bite, and you already beat a mon'

'Okay, go ahead I guess'

'Hey Ash I wanna battle!'

"Huh, well alright Oshawott, I choose you!"

"Taking the risky approach huh, alright then, Watchog get ready" Lenora said.

"Fight!"

"Watchog Confuse Ray"

Confuse ray was a wide move, it usually covered the entire arena, there was almost no way to hide against it except.

"Oshawott block it with your Razor Shell"

The Confuse Ray spread all over the arena, but Oshawott's scalchop reflected the confuse ray back.

"Whoa Ash just Confused Watchog with it's own Confuse Ray!" Iris said impressed.

"Indeed an interesting new recipe has been born" Cilan said.

"What you can't be serious" Lenora said, not believe what she just saw.

"Alright Oshawott, use Razor shell, this time on Watchog"

"Hypnosis"

Watchog was too disorientated to do anything, and was instead hit in the chest with Oshawott's Razor Shell.

"Great, now use Water Gun!"

But instead of using water gun Oshawott surrounded himself in a column of water, and shot towards Watchog, hitting it again.

"Whoa was that an Aqua Jet just now!?" Ash said.

"Seems like it" Lenora said.

Watchog then broke out of confusion.

"Alright Watchog Crunch"

Watchog bit on Oshawott's arm.

'Oh not again' The little otter strained out.

"Oshawott Water gun!"

Oshawott used Water gun, knocking Watchog back.

"Okay finish this with one last Aqua Jet!"

Oshawott formed another Aqua Jet, and knocked Watchog into unconsciousness.

"Watchog is unable to battle, Oshawott wins!"

"Yes you did it Oshawott!" Ash congratulated.

'You did good man' Pikachu followed.

'That battle was amazing' said Axew.

'So the tables have turned' said Snivy, who woke up not to long ago.

"Great job Ash" Cilan said.

"You did great" said Iris.

"Thanks" Ash said.

"Well Ash, that was a good battle, I did not expect you to reflect that confuse ray though, that was something else, anyway for beating the Nacrene City Gym, you get yourself the Basic badge"

"Yes, I just got the Basic Badge!"

Everyone cheered, then they all went to find somewhere to eat, because of course they did.
