Last Time Ash, and the gang, but mostly Ash challenged, and won against the Nacrene City Gym, and right now are going to head off for Castelia City, to challenge their gym, I wonder what will happen now?

"Alright everyone, are we ready to leave?" Cilan asked.

"Yep, just got to pack up real quick" Ash answered.

"Hey Ash your backpack, it's glowing" Iris said.

"Wait but that means" When Ash opened his backpack he found that the egg he got from those Sandiles, was glowing. "The egg it's glowing!" Ash exclaimed.

"Ash that's great, that means it's ready to hatch, it might take a while though, so we should get on the move" Cilan said.

'The egg is glowing?' Pikachu asked.

'That means I'll have a new friend to play with!' Axew shouted excitedly.

'I wonder what's in there anyway' Pikachu said.

Ash, and the gang, left Nacrene City, and were heading to Castelia City, but then…

"Ah man, I'm hungry again" Ash moaned.

'Me too' Pikachu moaned too.

"Well I guess we better settle down, and eat" Cilan suggested.

"Yeah, alright, everyone out!"

Ash, Cilan, and Iris all threw out their pokeballs, and out came Oshawott, Snivy, Excadrill, Pansage, and Dwebble, which Cilan picked up not too long ago.

'Yeah food!' Oshawott jumped up.

'A snack is just the thing I needed' Snivy said.

'Yeah, my trainer's food is the best' Pansage said.

'It's not bad, I guess' said Excadrill.

"Alright, let's dig in!"

Ash, and the gang dug into the food, but then something interrupted them.

"Ash look your bag, it's glowing again" Iris said.

"Ah, your right!" Ash said, the light was really bright now, Ash quickly got it out, and soon had it in his lap, everyone, and their pokemon were all around the egg, after about 21.426 seconds the egg, transformed into a.

"Ruff, Let"

"Ash your egg, hatched into a Rufflet!" Cilan shouted, frightening the little bird. "Oh I'm sorry"

"Rufflet"

"Huh, Rufflet eh"

"Rufflet the Eaglet Pokemon, this pokemon will often try to pick fights with absolutely anything, without fear, this is how they get stronger"

"Congratulations Ash"

"Thanks, this little guy sure is cute, OW!" Rufflet had pecked at Ash's nose.

'Ash are you okay?' Pikachu asked.

"I'm fine, I've survived way worse things then Rufflet here, Ah, you gotta stop that"

"Hmm, you know that Rufflet there is pretty special" Cilan spoke up.

"Huh, how come?" Ash asked.

"Well you see, that Rufflet is a female"

"Wait how would know that?!" Iris asked.

"I'm a pokemon connoisseur, I can detect a pokemon's gender from a mile away"

"But wait, can't Rufflet only be male?" Iris asked.

"No, they can actually be both, but since the males go out to hunt, and the females always stay in the nests, it is pretty hard to find a female one"

"Oh, I guess Rufflet eggs have to come from somewhere"

"Well, that's pretty cool, anyway Rufflet, I want you to meet everyone else" Ash said to the little bird.

"Ruff"

'Hey Rufflet, I'm Pikachu!' Pikachu said, he walked up to the little bird to pat her on her head, but she bit onto Pikachu's finger, causing him to pull away. 'Ouch, that really hurts, ah, oh'

Pansage then came up next. 'Hello there' Rufflet took his gesture as an invitation to poke at his eye. 'dah my eye!'

Dwebble came up. 'Hi' he said, before getting pecked as well, and running away.

Excadrill, just looked at her, scoffed, and left, Oshawott reluctantly went up, after a little vine whip push from Snivy. 'Don't peck me please, don't peck me please' Oshawott patted the little bird, and 'Huh she didn't peck me' Instead she used a leer, and then pecked Oshawott. 'Why you little, someone outta teach you some manners'

Oshawott then grabbed his scalchop, and prepared a razor shell, but Snivy vine whipped it out of his hand. 'Hey, don't do that, she's just a baby!'

'That peck still really hurt'

'But it wouldn't hurt nearly as much if you used razor shell on the poor thing!' Snivy was now by Rufflet's side. 'Even if she's attacking you, doesn't give you the right to harm it'

*sigh* 'I guess you're right' Oshawott complied. 'I'm sorry Rufflet'

The little bird then didn't peck him.

'Ha, ha, she didn't peck me, that's something' Oshawott said pridefully.

'Wow good parenting Snivy' Pikachu complicted.

'Thank you, with kindness, and love even rowdy Rufflets can beco- OW, you little BRAT, you're gonna, ugh, we have a lot of work to do'

"Looks like Rufflet's getting to know everybody" Ash said.

"Looks like a new recipe to me" Cilan said.

"Hey Axew, don't you wanna come down, and play?" Iris asked Axew.

'Okay, but she seems kind of mean?'

'Oh don't worry Axew, she's well, she's something else' Snivy reassured?

Axew came down to greet Rufflet, he himself was just a few months old.

'Hi' Axew said, Rufllet inspected him, sniffing him, looking at him.

'Well she's not pecking, that's probably a good sign' Oshawott said.

'Wow, must've took you a long time to come up with that' Snivy said.

Eventually Rufflet snuggled with Axew, everyone except Excadrill awed at the sight.

"Looks like Axew, and Rufflet have formed a new recipe" Cilan said.

"And a pretty good one at that, relatively speaking" Iris said.

"Well, it's getting kind of late, how about we rest for the night" Ash suggested.

"Okay" Iris, and Cilan said simultaneously.

Later that night…

Everyone was sleeping, Ash, Iris, Cilan, Oshawott, Pikachu, everyone, everyone except Rufflet, being born a Rufflet, she was ready for a challenge, she ran into the nearby forest, but not unoticed.

Axew woke up waked by Rufflets running off. 'Huh where's Rufflet going, wait up!'

Axew then ran off after Rufflet, but unannounced to him, Snivy was watching them both, and took off to keep them out of trouble.

Meanwhile Rufflet found a big scary Galvantula, and being a Rufflet, went straight up to it, and pecked it's eye, the great beast woke up, enraged at the little bird's attack, Axew then came along. 'Rufflet, your safe'

"Rufflet!"

'Huh, what is that!?' Axew asked terrified.

'Grr, you woke me! You, and your friend' The Galvantula shouted angrily.

'Uh, I'm sorry mister'

'Sorry doesn't cut it, you must pay!'

'Uh oh, come on Rufflet' Axew grabbed Rufflet by the wing, as Galvantula crushed the spot they were just on, Axew, and Rufflet ran over to a nearby tree, and Axew used a Dragon Rage to fend off the raging Galvantula.

'Ha, that barely did a thing, now it's time for a your shocking attack, hahaha!'

But then all of the sudden a Leaf Tornado, hit the giant spider on his side.

'Stay away from them, what did they do to you anyway?' Snivy was here, and ready to save the day too.

'Well that little rascal poked my eye! And now I'm angry!'

'Honestly, not all that shocking, pun intended' Snivy then used swagger, as if Galvantula wasn't angry enough, in his anger he ran towards Snivy, who dodged gracefully, as the spider ran into a tree, Rufflet was watching in awe, while Axew was paralyzed in fear.

'Oh Auntie Snivy, I'm sorry'

'I forgive you, just stay over there, and make sure Rufflet doesn't do anything stupid'

'Wait, where's Rufflet'

"Rufflet!" The little bird, was behind Galvantula, and used a wing attack.

'Whoa Rufflet you used a wing attack!' Axew said.

'Great job, now go back to safety please!' Snivy ordered, but Rufflet instead, used another Wing attack, Axew deciding to join in used a Dragon rage, all this ended up with Galvantula on the floor fainted.

'Wow, you actually did it I'm proud of you too' Snivy complimented.

'Yay, thanks Auntie Snivy'

'A-a'

'Hey Axew Rufflet's trying to say something' Snivy noticed.

'Ax- Axew!'

'She said my name! Yay!' The little dragon said excited.

'Yeah, you two are still in trouble though' Snivy said.

'Aww' Axew said.

'Axew!' Rufflet said again.

"Rufflet!"

"Axew!"

"Snivy!"

"There you are" Ash said.

"Where did you go Axew?" Iris asked.

Snivy explained everything.

'Whoa, Rufflet really learned Wing attack?!' Oshawott said.

'And she spoke her first words, and they were of Axew' Pikachu said.

'That's so cute' Pansage said.

'Axew!' Rufflet said yet again.

'Yay! You're the best Rufflet!' The little dragon said.

'Yay!' Rufflet said, as her second word.

"Well we better get back to sleep" Cilan said.

"Yeah, I'm tuckered out" Iris agreed.

"Wouldn't want to be tired for the Castelia City Gym" Ash said.
