Last Time, Team Rocket attacks Castelia City, and face of against Team Plasma, Giovanni then heads off into a building, and steals some sort of crystal, also Trip is there, and he, and Ash have a double battle against Missile's Eelektross, and get swept, until Pikachu comes in and takes him out, Team Rocket suceeded though, and Missile was given a new assignment, spy on Ash.
"Well, it's good to know no one was hurt, that building was a research center, and now it's a pile of rocks" Burgh said.
"Yeah, sorry that we couldn't stop him" Ash said.
"Nah, it's okay, that Missile guy must've been pretty powerful, I doubt even I could've defeated him" said Burgh.
'Still have no clue how an unevolved pokemon like Pikachu could defeat that monster' Servine said.
'Pikachu is evolved you idiot' Snivy said.
'I was a Pichu once' Pikachu said.
"Hey Burgh, can we have a gym battle?" Trip asked.
"Yeah, me too!" Ash begged.
"Alright, alright, just come with me to my gym, it's not too far"
"Hey are you guys gonna come?" Ash asked.
"Well to be honest, we kinda wanna explore the city first" Iris said.
"Oh, alright go ahead, but me, and Trip are gonna go get our third gym badge"
"Alright, then, goodbye!"

"Good luck on your gym battle guys!" Cilan shouted.
"Yeah! See you later!" Iris also shouted.
After a few minutes of walking, Ash, Trip, and Burgh, finally made it to the gym, they entered to find a greenhouse with a battle field in the middle.
"Well here we are" Burgh said. "The rules are simple you are allowed to use exactly three pokemon, switching out in not allowed"
"Alright then, Trip you wanna battle first?"
"Eh, what the heck, sure, let's do this"
"Okay then, get ready, this won't be easy" Burgh then sent out his Dwebble, Trip sent out his Frillish.
"Battle Begin!"
"Frillish Water gun"
"Dodge with Dig" Dwebble dug underground, while Frillish tried to blast it with water, it failed of course, the hermit pokemon then leaped up from the air next to him.
"Now X-Scissor!" Even with a type resistance, Frillish got knocked back.
"Water gun, again" This time the move hit, Dwebble was still left standing though.
"Faint attack" Dwebble Faint Attacked Frillish, dealing super effective damage, it was getting low now.
"Use Hex!" The Hex, hit Dwebble, and this time it fainted.
"Hmm, alright, let's see how your Frillish holds up against Swadloon" Out came Burgh's Swadloon, Trip couldn't change out Frillish, that was against the rules.
"Okay, use Night Shade"
"Razor Leaf" Swadloon's Razor Leaves came at blinding speed slicing at Frillish, with a monstrous critical, plus super effective combo, knocking it out.
"Frillish return!"
"Okay then, Tranquill, come out!"
"Swadloon, use String Shot, to force Tranquill down"
"Dodge it!" But Tranquill couldn't, it's wings got tangled in the mess, and it fell to the ground, it could still walk though.
"Uh oh, Trip, can you cut it off?" Ash asked.
"Uh I don't think so"
"Well, too bad, Swadloon use Razor Leaf" The leaves hit the flightless bird, it's speed on ground was abysmal.
"Darn, there's nothing I can do"
"Just think outside the box Trip!" Ash recommended.
"Think outside the box?"
"Razor Leaf again"
"Tranquill, use the Razor Leaves to cut yourself free!" The bird moved in a way so that the Razor Leaves intercepted the string shot, cutting them, and breaking him free.
"Good thinking, now the battle begins, Swadloon, Razor Leaf"
"Use Gust" Swadloon shot out some more Leaves, but Tranquill Dodged, and retaliated with a gust the 4x super effective move, destroyed the bug grass pokemon.
"Swadloon, return, well you made it this far, let's see if you can get past this" Burgh sent out his Scolipede, the massive pokemon towered over Tranquill.
"Uh oh"
"Use Rollout!"
"Dodge!" The Big Centipede, used Rollout, as anyone who has faced off against Whitney would know, Rollout is a devastating move, absolutely devastating, Tranquill didn't manage to dodge the rolling pokemon, and was knocked out of the air.
"Rollout again!"
"Dodge!" The same pattern kept happening, Rollout, after Rollout, after Rollout, not to mention the type disadvantage, Tranquill was out in seconds.
"Grr, alright, Timburr, come out!"
"Looks like you're running out of options, Rollout!"
"Protect" Timburr, blocked the incoming Scolipede with his wood, knocking it back.
"Now's our chance, Timburr, use Stone Edge!" Timburr, slammed the ground with his wood, creating stones from the ground that pierced into Scolipede, the pokemon still remained standing though.
"Venoshock"
"Dodge!" Scolipede Venoshocked, but Timburr dodged.
"Stone Edge again!" Again stone edge was used, piercing into Scolipede once more, slowly chipping away at it's health.
"Enough, Rollout, and keep using it"
"Protect!" Timburr protected Rollout, after Rollout, but eventually, one Rollout got through, then another, and another!
"Well, it was a good battle, Rollout" Trip out of options chose.
"Stone edge!" As Scolipede rolled at the speed of sound towards Timburr, he used a stone edge, hitting it at maximum velocity, the impact strong enough for a knockout.
"Wow, that was so awesome!" Ash shouted from the sidelines.
"Well congratulations you beat the Castelia City Gym, hears the Insect Badge"
"Thanks"
"Alright, it's my turn, Trip you wanna watch?"
"I mean, sure I guess"
"Alright you know the rules, so let's get started, Dwebble!"
"Rufflet, come on out!" Rufflet appeared from her pokeball.
"Rufflet!"
"That's an odd choice"
"Alright, then Rock Blast!"
"Reflect them with Wing Attack!" The five rocks came, but Rufflet knocked them back with her wings, doing quite a bit of damage.
"What!? That's insane!" Trip said, surprised.
"Wow, you're quite creative"
"Thanks"
"That don't mean you'll win though, Dwebble, Dig"
"Dodge!" Rufflet, who couldn't fly just yet, got hit by the dig.
"You okay Rufflet"
"Let"
"Alright then, Leer!" Rufflet Leered at Dwebble, causing it's defense to drop.
"Now Peck!" Rufflet Pecked at Dwebble, dealing more damage than usual, due to leer.
"Nice one, Faint Attack!"
"Dodge!" Rufflet got hit in the face with Faint Attack, and in it's rage, accidentally learned, and used Fury Attack, Dwebble hid in it's shell, while Rufflet chipped away at it.
"Rufflet just learned Fury Attack" Trip said from the sidelines.
"Nice, alright use Fury Attack again"
"Dwebble, you can't hide in your shell forever!" Burgh said to his hiding pokemon, his increased defense from hiding in his shell, didn't help Dwebble all too much, as he was taken down by a Flurry of Fury attacks.
"Darn, okay Swadloon, you're up!" Swadloon came out.
"Rufflet start it off with a Wing Attack!"
"Protect!" Rufflet ran over to Swadloon, and sliced at it, but it used protect.
"Now String Shot!" Swadloon shot sticky string all over Rufflet's face, she fell to the ground trying to get it off.
"Rufflet try to find someway to cut it!"
"Use Tackle, not gonna make that mistake again" Rufflet was hit by Tackle, after tackle, eventually it was too much for the bird, and she fainted.
"Oh well, take a good rest Rufflet, Venipede come on out!" Venipede appeared, excited as usual.
"Alright, Swadloon, String Shot!"
"Venipede use Rollout, to spin it off!" Swadloon shot a string shot at Venipede, but she spun around in a circle fast enough to cut the String Shot into pieces.
"Now Rollout on Swadloon"
"Dodge!" Several Rollouts hit Swadloon, and did a lot of damage.
"Intercept with Energy Ball!" Swadloon fired an Energy Ball, knocking Venipede out of it's Rollout combo. "Use Energy Ball again!" A second Energy Ball struck Venipede, and she was sent flying.
"Venipede you alright"
'Yeah'
"Alright then, Rollout and Poison Sting!"
"Energy Ball again!" Venipede powered through Energy Ball, and struck Swadloon, sending it in the air, she then jabbed her venomous stinger into it's face, knocking it out.
"Swadloon return, let's see how you fair against my Scolipede" Burgh sent out his Scolipede, putting Venipede at a massive disadvantage.
"Scolipede's Venipede's evolved form, this won't be pretty" Trip said.
"I know we can still do it"
'Um, I'm not sure' Venipede said.
'Don't worry kid, this won't last long' Scolipede comforted?
"Alright, Venipede, use Rollout!"
"Rollout, for you too Scolipede" The two Poison Bugs traded blows, but Scolipede with it's superior attack, did much more of a number on Venipede, then Venipede on Scolipede.
"Venipede, use Poison Sting!"
"Scolipede, Venoshock!" Venipede dodged, and struck at Scolipede, but barely did any damage.
"It didn't do any damage"
"At this point you might wanna give up, Venoshock" Scolipede shot poison at Venipede, who got hit, and was getting weak now.
"Doh, don't give up Venipede, I believe in you!"
'Yeah!' Suddenly something snapped within Venipede, and she began to glow, and change shape, when she stopped glowing, a Whirlipede stood in her place.
"Whoa Venipede you just evolved, into"
"Whirlpede, the curlipede pokemon, I know very creative, and the evolved form of Venipede, it has a very hard shell, that it uses to crash into enemies"
"Congrats, but we still have the upper hand, Scolipede Rollout!"
"Whirlipede, Rollout too" Whirlipede rolled towards Scolipede, but not with Rollout, but instead Pursuit, dealing tons of damage. "You learned Pursuit too, great job!"
"Darn, okay Rollout!"
"Pursuit, once more!" The two bug poison pokemon, rolled towards one another, and a caused a huge pile of dust to shoot up, when the dust settled Scolipede layed on the floor fainted, while Whirlipede remained standing.
"And Ash Wins!"
"Ah heck yeah, great job Whirlipede"
'Thanks! I feel so much stronger now!' Whirlipede said.
'That was great, I can't wait untill I evolve' Rufllet said.
"Well Ash, that was a pretty good battle, congratualations on evolving Venipede, I'm sure she'll win many more battles after this, anyway, you have earned the Insect badge"
"Ah, yeah!"
'We did it!'

"Congrats Ash, I guess since we just got our third badge, we're getting pretty strong now, huh?"
"Yep, well see ya around Trip, better get back to Iris, and Cilan"
"Yeah, but before you go, how about a battle?"
