Last Time, Ash, and the Gang were getting really close to Nimbasa City, and then took a break, Iris tells Excadrill's backstory, and kinda her own, anyway this takes long enough for the sun to go down, so the gang have to sleep outside for one more night, during this night Iris apologizes to Excadrill, and he cries, and then he goes off to try and learn Focus Blast, Iris notices, and helps him learn, now they're friends again, yay! Also someone's following them, can you guess who? Well don't cause it's gonna really obvious, really soon.
"Finally Nimbasa City, wow, it sure is big" Ash said.
"And full of people too" Cilan said.
"Guess we can explore" Iris said.
"Yeah!"
Somewhere nearby…
A computer turned on.
"Missile, you have been following Ash is this correct?"
"Yes, it is"
"Good, now tell me, what has happened since I last saw him"
"He's caught a Sandile, his Oshawott mastered Aqua Jet, and his Rufflet learned Shadow Claw, the girl he's traveling with also caught an Emolga, and her Excadrill learnt Focus Blast"
"Where is he now?"
"He's directly in Nimbasa City, he also plans on entering the Battle Club Tournament happening here"
"Okay, I want you to get more information on him, do whatever is necessary, and remember if need be, attack to kill, you are dismissed" The computer shut off.
"If I want to get close I'll have to use a secret identity, guess it's time to go incognito" Missile transformed himself into a young man with a T-shirt, and a pair of shorts, he now had green eyes, and neat short blond hair, he was now Cody. "I guess it's time for me, and Ash to meet, for the first time, or was it the third"
Now back to Ash, and the Gang…
"Where should we go first?" Iris asked. "And we're not going to eat"
"Oh man" Ash sighed in disappointment.
"Don't worry I packed us some sandwiches to eat while we're exploring" Cilan said.
"Thanks Cilan" Ash said less disappointed. "But hey isn't there the Club Battle Tournament happening here?" Ash asked.
"Yep, and that's where we're going" Iris said.
"Alright, Now that's what I'm talking about" Ash said, now excited.
"Going there? Okay, looks like we'll meet there" Cody said, he then headed to the Club Battle Tournament arena thingy.
Meanwhile Ash, and the gang arrive there shortly afterwards.
"Alright, so this is the place huh" Ash said.
"Yep, all three of us already entered so I guess we can just walk around, and chat" Iris said.
"Hey Ash quick question who are you planning to use?" Cilan asked.
"Well there are three battles with one pokemon each right?"
"Yeah"
"And there's also three pokemon allowed at the Nimbasa City Gym"
"Oh so your gonna use the Tournament as a warmup"
"Yep, even better I know that the gym leader specializes in electric types, so I'll use my three pokemon good against electric types, Sandile, Snivy, and Pikachu"
"That's pretty clever, not gonna lie"
All of a sudden a familiar blond hair girl ran into Ash.
"You gotta stop doing that Bianca"
"Oh sorry Ash, wait are you joining the Tournament?"
"Yeah, kinda"
"That's awesome! Me, and Trip are as well, although he's been acting a bit weird" Bianca said.
"Yeah, I'm gonna win, I'm gonna win, you know it! Oh yeah, I'm gonna win alright" Trip said
"Maybe I should go talk to him, see ya around!" Bianca then left.
"Huh, that was something else, hey it's Stupid"
"Stu- Stupid!? It's Stephan"
"Oh yeah right, Steffen"
*sigh* "Well, Nice to see ya Ash"
"Nice to see you too"
"Yeah, so I guess we're both going to enter the tournament"
"Yep pretty much, good luck to you Steven"
"Thanks, good luck, and also it's Stephan"
"You, I knew I'd find you eventually!" A purple haired lady said to Cilan.
"Oh hey Burgundy, I guess you're also entering the competition"
"Yep, and I'm gonna beat you, mark my words"
"Okay"
"Good Bye!"

"Hey look! The battle chart's being revealed" Iris called out.
"Wow let me see" Ash said.
The battle chart revealed it's contents, Showing that the first battle would be against Georgia, and Slvester, followed by Iris, and Antonio, then Cody, and Emmanuel, Scooter, and Dino, Trip, and Luke, Bianca, and Cilan, Sven, and Burgundy, and finally Ash, and someone named Jimmy Ray.
"Well, I guess we better get ready for the battles" Ash said.
"Yep, good luck!" Iris said.
"Good luck to you too" Cilan said.
Because I have a life, we're just gonna do a montage over the first eight battles, alright, alright.
The first battle started, Georgia sent out a Beartic, while Sylvester sent out a Joltic, I think it's obvious who won here, Iris defeated her opponent with Emolga, and Cody, who remember is Missile incognito, OHKOed, Emmanuel's pokemon with his Eelektross, Dino won against Scooter, Trip beat Luke with ease, and Bianca knocked out Cilan's Pansage, Stubby beat Burgundy with his newly evolved Zebstrika, and Ash lost against Jimmy Ray, I'm kidding of course not, Pikachu absolutely destroyed him, and now there were eight, Georgia, Iris, Cody, Dino, Trip, Bianca, Steven, and Ash and this montage will now end.
"And with that, the first battles of the Club Battle Tournament are over, join us next time to find out who makes it to the semi finals" The announcer said.
"Well good battle Jimmy Ray"
"Yeah, good battle, bye"
"Alright Pikachu, why don't we rest, and get ready for tomorrow"
'Okay, sure, but let's go talk to Iris, and Cilan first'
"Yeah let's"
"Hey Ash" Iris said.
"Congrats on making it to the top 8, unlike me" said Cilan disappointed.
"Don't worry you still battled great, I'm sure you'll get there next time" Ash said.
"Yeah, I guess" Cilan said.
"Hey!"
"Huh, who was that!?"
"Oh sorry to startle you, my name's Cody" said Cody, who remember is Missile incognito. "I just wanted to say that you are a great battler"
"Oh thanks, you are too, being able to OHKO pokemon like that"
"Thanks, I'm honored, you mind if I walk with you for a bit, my place isn't to far from where you're staying"
"Wait how'd you know that?"
"Uh, well I mean there's not many places to stay, and I'm sure I just happened to stay near where you stay"
"Okay, hey guys can Cody come with us?" Ash asked.
"Sure"
"Why not"
"Alright, Cody, welcome to the party"
"Thanks dude, this is gonna be a blast" If you know what I mean
"So what made you come here in the first place" Iris asked.
"Travel, I've been traveling the world, seeing sights, catching pokemon, right now I'm going around Unova, and I thought it be fun to enter some competitions" Cody said, making it all up before hand. "What about you all?"
"Well I wanna become a pokemon master, which I guess is a little vague, but it's still a great experience" Ash said.
"I wanna meet all types of dragon pokemon, and become a dragon master" Iris said.
"I wanna become an S class connoisseur, that's kinda it" Cilan said.
"Hmm that's pretty interesting, you know I always wanted to be the very best" And tried, and failed "But it seems that you Ash are already one"
"Really? I mean I wouldn't say that"
"Yes, of course you beat many legendaries, and took down many evil teams, surely you are the best, not to mention your pokemon"
"I mean, yeah I guess I do have many strong pokemon, like Charizard, and Sceptile, Infernape, and many more"
Yeah that's it, tell me all about your pokemon "I'm sure you catch many strong pokemon nowadays to, like that Snivy you have"
"Wait, how'd you"
"I mean, I didn't say Snivy, I meant Pikachu, slip of my tongue"
"Alright"
"Anyway, looks like we're already here, oh well, I would invite you to dinner, but if you don't want to then I'll just leave" Now that I've mentioned dinner he'll surely get hungry, and then will want to go with me
*stomach growl* "Well look at that, perfect timing, I just got hungry, alright I guess I can go eat, what about you guys"
"Nah, Axew needs his sleep, or else he gets cranky"
"And I also need my sleep or else I'll get cranky"
"Alright suit yourself, I'm gonna go eat" Ash said.
"Great, I'll pay before hand, come on I know a place" Cody then led Ash into a local restaurant, and ordered a mountain of food for Ash, and a soda pop, plus a plate of Farfetch'd wings for himself.
"Mmm, this sure is delicious, man you guys have got to try this" Ash said, referring to his pokemon, he threw up his pokeballs, and his mons came out.
Perfect now I can examine them up close "Those are some pretty strong pokemon you got there"
"Really you can tell"
"Yeah, I was a breeder once"
"That reminds me of Brock, he's also a pokemon breeder, although I never remember him telling how strong a pokemon was by just looking at it"
"It's a skill that only the top of the top have, it's pretty gosh darn useful, can I examine your pokemon"
"Alright, sure, Pikachu you wanna go first?"
'Okay I guess'
"Hmm, yes your Pikachu is extraordinary, it has a power that rivals legendaries" He also knows Thunderbolt, Quick Attack, Volt Tackle, and Iron Tail, extraordinary speed, attack, and special attack, but has mediocre defense, and special defense, has low health, good to know.
"Wow that's amazing, maybe you can tell me everyone else's"
"Sure thing" You're not stupid, but you're way too trusting, and easily impressed.
Cody, A.K.A Missile incognito, got everyone's moves, abilities, genders, he also got their Evs, Ivs, stats, and even their birth parents, now of course he wasn't really a pokemon breeder, nor had he gotten his skills from a book, he just had a little microchip that allowed him to scan each pokemon discreetly, very clever, and now he had all the info he needed, well almost all the info.
"Hey Snivy, don't you wanna go?"
'Nah, you shouldn't just trust someone you just met' Snivy said.
'Oh come on it's not he's a Team Rocket agent or something' Oshawott said, unknowingly being correct.
'Yeah, and he's super nice, and it feels so good to be rubbed by him' The innocent Rufflet said.
'He doesn't seem that bad, if he were part of Team Rocket, then he would've tried to steal me by now' Pikachu said.
'Yeah, I think you should give him a chance' Whirlipede said.
'You never know until you try' Sandile said.
'Well if you insist' Snivy got onto Cody's lap, who scanned her.
She knows Pursuit, Leaf Tornado, Vine Whip, and Swagger, wait a minute these moves are exactly the ones that she had before, she ran off, could it be? No, no, she's gone forever, you might as well just accept it.
"Uh Cody, you seem dazed, is everything alright?" Ash asked.
"Wha, oh yeah, your Snivy is a great fighter, with an iron defense, she surely won't go down without a fight" Just like her, stop day dreaming, it's never gonna happen, even if you think it is
"Well, it's getting pretty late, we'd best be heading back"
"Okay, thanks for letting me examine your pokemon"
"Thank you for all the food"
"See you tomorrow Ash"
"See ya Cody"
