Last Time, Ash, and the gang started heading to Driftveil City for Ash's 5th gym badge, Team Rocket also heads there for some reason, anyway they decide to take a break, and Rufflet, and Axew go play, Servine, and Emolga chat, and Servine reveals why she looks out for others, they then join Rufflet, and Axew in their games, during one of these games Axew comes across a rowdy Gothita, which tries to kiss him, Rufflet gets jealous, and starts fighting Gothita, only for Servine to pull them away, Ash, and the gang meet Gothita's trainer, then it rains, so she invites them to her cabin for the night, Rufflet has a nightmare about losing Axew, meanwhile in the not dream world, Gothita takes Axew on an adventure unwillingly, Rufflet follows, and confronts Gothita, and accidentally wakes up a Garboder, things are looking bad, but Servine, and Emolga come in, and save them, the next day Gothita gets scolded by her trainer, but then challenges Rufflet to battle, Rufflet quickly defeats Gothita, causing her to run away while throwing a fit.

Ash, and the gang were walking again, and then as usual they got hungry, so decided to take a break.

'Hey Oshawott' Sandile called. 'How 'bout we have a battle?'

'Ha, yeah, let's I'm gonna cream you!' Oshawott boasted.

'I'll be the ref!' Whirlipede said, all the mons gathered around to see the battle, Ash was watching too.

"Looks like Oshawott, and Sandile are having a battle" Ash said.

"Let's watch!" Iris suggested.

Oshawott starts off with a water gun, Sandile digs, and comes up from below, but Oshawott dodged with Aqua Jet, and boomeranged back striking Sandile.

Sandile retaliates with Crunch, Oshawott flinches, Sandile then throws some Stone Edges at him, Oshawott dodges.

Oshawott smacks Sandile with Razor Shell, Sandile comes back with a Stone Edge, hitting Oshawott.

Oshawott preps hit next move, but all of a sudden a shaking happens!

"Whoa, what's going on?" Ash asked.

"I don't know, but I think something big's coming from the ground!" Cilan said.

In between Sandile, and Oshawott, a Deino came popping out of the ground.

"It's a Deino!" Iris said.

"What's it doing here?" Cilan asked.

Then another Deino came up.

"Now there's two of them!" Ash said.

The Deinos started making a ruckus, eating food, head butting pokemon, head butting people, head butting trees, they had to be stopped.

"Pikachu use Volt Tackle!" Ash commanded.

"Excadrill Drill run!" Iris ordered.

Pikachu Volt Tackled a Deino to the ground, while Excadrill Drill Runs another to a tree.

"Wait!" A man said. "Sorry, those Deino are supposed to be with me, I'm Bobby by the way"

"Well Bobby, these Deinos ate our food!"

"I'm terribly sorry, these Deino are just so rambunctious, I can't keep track of them all"

"Well, it's fine" Iris then sad. "I know taking care of dragon types can be hard"

"Thanks for understanding, these Deino are quite a handful, I'll be on my way now" Bobby said.

"Wait! Is there anyway we can help you?" Iris asked.

"Well, sure! I'd be glad for your help" Bobby replied.

"Wait a minute, I didn't agree to this!" Ash said.

"Please just this once" Iris begged.

"Just play along with it Ash" Cilan said.

"Alright, I guess we can help" Ash said, slightly distraught.

"Thanks a lot" Bobby said, he then led the gang, to a daycare there were lots of different pokemon there, I'm not gonna list them off, so just use your imagination. "This is it"

"Wow!" Ash exclaimed. "There's so many Pokémon here"

"It's so big!" Iris said.

"Truly a fine establishment you have here" Cilan examined.

"Thanks, there's actually three Deino, a trainer left them here a few days ago, these two are a bit rough, but the third one's kinda shy"

"Alright, good to know" Ash suggested.

"Okay, let's release them now" Bobby released the two Deino from their pokeballs, they frolicked around the field, Ash decided to let his pokemon out to play with the daycare pokemon, Cilan decided to cook some food for them too, and Iris decided to make sure the Deinos didn't break anything, or anyone.

"Hey Axew, I kinda have to do something, do you wanna go play with Rufflet?" Iris asked Axew.

'Sure! Good luck on whatever your doing' Axew ran off to go play with Rufflet, Iris went over to the Deinos, the rough Deinos were still frolicking, but the shy one was hiding in a bush, Iris decided to go talk to him.

"Hey"

'Ah!' The Deino said, hiding deeper into the bush.

"Wait, I'm not going to hurt you" Iris came prepared though. "Here want some food?" She brought a chunk of whatever dragon types like to eat, Deino nibbled it up, and spoke.

'Thanks, I guess'

"I just wanna talk that's all"

'Oh, okay'

Iris could notice that Deino was trembling, so she decided to ask. "Deino, are you scared?"

'Uh, kinda, it's scary'

"Well, why?"

'It's all these new places, I have my mom to travel with, but my trainer always puts me in these daycare places, I just don't do so well with new people, except you, you're nice'

"Thanks Deino"

'I was born a few months ago, with my two brothers, our mom had a trainer, and he liked to travel, I like being with my mom, but my trainer always puts me in daycares, so I don't see her much, and my two brothers, they always head butt me, I still like them, but it's just not the same'

"Sorry to hear that"

'It's alright, even if I'm always so hungry'

"Wait, I could get you some food"

'You'd really do that? Thank you!'

"No problem, I'll be here for you"

'Thanks a lot' Deino said.

Iris then got up to the place she was sitting, and asked Cilan for some pokemon food, she came back with a bowl, and fed it to Deino, he gobbled it all up, eventually lunchtime came around.

"Hey Iris! Wanna come eat with us?" Ash called out.

"Yeah, sure! Deino wanna come?" Iris asked.

'Uh, I'm not too sure, I think I'd rather stay here' Deino said.

"It's alright I'll come with you"

'Well alright, I guess'

Iris, and the shy Deino, headed over to the others to eat lunch, just about everyone from the daycare was there.

"Hey guys!" Iris said.

'Hi Iris!' Rufflet, and Axew said.

"Say hi Deino"

'H- Hi' Deino said, barely audible.

'Uh can you speak up? I can't really hear you' Axew said, trying to be polite.

'Oh, okay, h- hi'

'CAN YOU SPEAK UP!' Rufflet shouted, not really trying to be polite.

'Eep!' Deino ran behind Iris in fear.

"Rufflet, that wasn't very nice" Iris said.

'Sorry' Rufflet apologized.

"Deino it's okay she didn't mean to scare you" Iris comforted.

'Okay, I think I'll stay back here' Deino continued to stay behind Iris, even following her to eat.

After a while, the two rough Deinos headed over to lunch.

'Hey bro'

'Yeah hey'

'We're gonna go grab some grub'

'Grab some grub, yeah, yeah'

'How about a head butt?'

'Head butt! Head butt!'

'Um actually'

'Yeah? Sweet bro!'

'I like sweets yum!'

The two rough Deinos head butted the shy Deino, about six times in total, leaving the shy Deino on the ground they then ran off.

"Deino! Are you okay?" Iris asked concerned.

'Y- yeah' Deino said, not really okay.

*sigh* "Deino maybe you should toughen up a bit" Iris said, usually Deinos head butt each other many many times, usually they're completely unscathed, but the shy Deino was barely holding on with just six, let alone the hundreds Deinos go through every day.

'But how? I'm just a weakling, I can't toughen up'

"Sure you can, you just gotta believe in yourself"

'But, I don't believe in myself'

Iris could tell that Deino was gonna need a lot of work, but she knew she could do it, lunch soon ended so Iris decided that Deino was gonna get some training.

"Alright Deino, I have an idea, how about me, and Axew train with you"

'T- train? I can't do that'

"Yes you can, I believe in you"

'Yeah, you can do it' Axew said.

'Well, alright I guess' Deino said.

Axew, and Deino got in battle position, Iris on Deino's side.

"Alright Deino, show me your moves"

'Okay' Deino tried to fire a Dragon Rage, but it ended up plopping on the ground.

"Uh maybe try something else"

'Okay' Deino then walked up to Axew, and tried to bite him, but it was more of a nibble.

"How about something else"

'Okay' Deino then head butted Axew, or rather pressed his head onto Axew's.

"Oh boy, this is gonna take some work"

'Should I go?' Axew asked.

"Sure, just go easy on him" Iris said.

'Alright' Axew used Slash, but like a really weak slash, scratch levels of weak, despite it being a scratch level weak slash, the move still knocked Deino out.

"Oh sorry Deino" Iris apologized reviving the Irate pokemon.

'It's okay, I knew I couldn't do it' Deino responded.

"But you can do it, you just have to believe in yourself" Iris encouraged.

'I think I'll just go back to the bush' Deino left, Iris wanted to help him so bad, so she decided to try again tomorrow, but if she was gonna try again tomorrow, she had to stay until tomorrow so she decided to ask to stay for a bit.

"Hey Ash"

"Huh, what is it?" Ash questioned.

"Can we stay here for an extra day or two?" Iris asked.

"Well I mean, hmm, sure!"

"Really!?"

"Yeah, I mean It's not like I'm in a rush, yeah we can stay for a bit, as long as Cilan's okay with it"

"I'm okay with it!" Cilan shouted from halfway across the place.

"Well I guess we're staying here for a bit"

"Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you!" Iris celebrated.

"Yeah, it's getting kinda late, I'm going to sleep" Ash then went off to sleep.

Tomorrow…

"Thanks for all of your help once again" Bobby said, remember him. "It's a rarity for something like this to happen"

"No problem, I can stay here for a bit" Ash said.

"And the bed's are so soft too" Cilan said.

"Yeah, I'm gonna go check on Deino" Iris then ran off to the bush from yesterday.

'Huh? You're back' Deino said surprised.

"Yeah, I just wanted to help you"

'Thanks'

"So how about a battle?"

'Um, well'

"Come on, it won't be that bad"

'I, I guess'

"Alright Axew, you ready?"

'Yep!'

"Deino you ready?"

'I don't know'

"Okay, just believe in yourself"

'Okay' Deino followed Iris' advice, and then used Dragon Rage, the attack formed in his mouth, and shot out at Axew, and this time it hit!

"You did it!" Iris celebrated.

'I, I guess I did' Deino said shocked.

'Congrats, took me forever to learn that one' Axew said.

"See, you just gotta believe!"

'Yeah, I do!'

"Alright how about some more training?"

'Okay, yeah, let's do this' Deino said.

Iris, Axew, and Deino trained all day, and night, and eventually Deino was a master at Biting, Head Butting, and Dragon Raging.

"Yeah, you did it again Deino!" Iris celebrated.

'I did it!' Deino celebrated.

'Deino!' A Hydreigon called from the distance.

'Mom!' Deino said, running to his mother, with his two brothers already there, they head butted, Deino taking all the head butts with ease.

"Thanks for taking care of them" Hydreigon's trainer said.

"Thanks, but it wasn't me who took care of your Deinos it was these people.

"Glad to help, forcibly" Ash said.

"It was nice while it lasted" Cilan said.

"Hey look at you" The dude said. "You're way more friendly now"

'That's because of Iris over here' Deino said.

"Well, thanks a lot" The dude thanked.

"Thank you! You gave me the chance to take care of Deino, and make him stronger too"

'Hey, can I stay with Iris?' Deino asked his trainer.

"Huh? What's Deino saying?" The dude asked.

"I think he says he wants to be with Iris" Ash said.

"Really?!" Iris said, ecstatic.

'Yeah!' Deino said.

"Well alright, I was gonna give them away anyway, Deino you can stay with Iris" The dude said releasing Deino.

"Well, I guess you're me now, pokeball go!" Iris threw a pokeball hitting Deino, and capturing him inside, one shake, two shake, three shake, caught! "I just caught a Deino!" Iris released Deino.

'Welcome to the team!' Axew welcomed.

'I think I'm gonna be much happier here' Deino said, finally finding his place.
