Quiet.
After a short violent bout between the Saiyan of Earth and the Destroyer of Universe 6, tranquility returned to the realm of the gods. It felt disturbing rather than comforting, especially to the spectators associated with the Saiyan.
Whis stared into the horizon as the battle reached its ultimate conclusion. He had been impressed by the innovation and intuition Goku shared in battle. Unlike the upward incline of training he had with him, she pressured him to use everything relevant in order to make a dent in the Hakaishin.
Upon unveiling a transformation even he didn't know Goku had, it sealed his fate. Impressive as it was, Ragon simply had much more power to use than he did. Just as he warned, he lowered his guard upon the split second of attack and she rendered him unconscious; in one blow no less.
Lord Ragon may be as strong as Beerus, despite her novice experience to the job. Her skill with using divine energy is quite sublime and her output of power is impressive. Whis thought as he witnessed Ragon return, carrying Goku over one shoulder and looking most pleased with herself.
The Earthlings, however, were not sharing her sentiment.
"Goku!" Dende cried out, rushing forth to his side. To his dismay, he looked unconscious and looked roughed up from the battle from his uniform to a fresh wound of blood oozing from his mouth and nose.
"He'll live," Ragon spoke with a sing-song tone. "I made sure the final blow only ended the fight, not his life. I'll make sure he gets patched up on the way back home."
Something in the way she said it made Tenshinhan jolt with alarm.
"'Back home'? What do you mean by that?" The three eyed Crane Fighter asked.
"She intends to take him back to Universe 6," Piccolo grimly intoned, looking stoically at Ragon. "That's what you mean, right?"
"Precisely!" She exclaimed, raising a clawed finger up jubilously. "I take it you're the smarter one of the three. Goku and I made a deal; he lost and the terms of his defeat is that I take him with me. I've looked for someone to settle down with for awhile and he fits the bill."
"Settle down...but Goku's married!" Dende cried out.
"So he told me, but it didn't sound like an ideal relationship," Ragon shrugged, winking at the Nameccian nearest to him. "Relax, he'll come around. He'll have all the food, drink, fights and company he could ever want. What more could he ask for?"
"Not to be abducted, for starters!" Tenshinhan snapped.
"Are you dim? I just said we made a deal-"
"What our Earth friend is trying to say," Whis interjected, calmly speaking to the Hakaishin in hopes of defusing the tension. "There are people who care about Son Goku and wish him to remain home. It would be socially inconsiderate to them if you ignored their feelings in the matter of displacing him from his home."
"That's true. But consider this," Ragon proffered with a more neutral expression as she replied back. "We fought and I can tell he has a yearning for something more than what his current life has given him. Those who had bonds with him may be sad, for a time, but if they really cared they would see that this is the best for him."
"What he wants and what he needs isn't up to you to decide!" Tenshinhan exclaimed harshly, his fists balling up at his sides as he glared at the draconic destroyer. "I've known Goku longer than you, and he can make bone headed decisions. Him making a bet with you shouldn't be the ultimate outcome. He has a life here and he is happy. Don't take him away because of your selfishness!"
"Oh wow! You got spunk! I like that!" Ragon said with a broad, toothy smile. Her eyes narrowed at him and a sinister smirk became adorned on her cute face, making it look more malicious than before. "So you want to stop me? We can duke it out right here if that is your intention. I can't promise you that I'll hold back; I'm too excited to pull my punches!"
Tenshinhan gritted his teeth, feeling cold sweat crawl down his face and neck. Though the distance between them was merely a dozen meters, it felt like a vast firmament is lodged between him and this God.
Though he is a lot stronger now, if someone like Goku lost, there wasn't any way for him to beat a monster like this. Or, was that just his own fear speaking?
His memory of his encounter with Majin Buu back when the world was on the brink of destruction. He had been instrumental in allowing Vegehan to be created, and even delayed the pink djinn from assaulting them mid-fusion. But, he was a distraction and that didn't suit him well at all.
Taking a step forward, he felt Piccolo's arm block his path. Turning to glare his way, he saw a knowing sternness poised back at him.
This isn't the place to get Goku back. Hold back for now, I have a plan…
The telepathic message sent, Tenshinhan released his tension and looked away from Ragon.
"Apologies for what my comrade said," Piccolo respectfully spoke back to the 6th Hakaishin with a bow. "There isn't a doubt to your contest's legitimacy. Please do as you please."
"I always do as I please," She countered with a cheeky smirk, taking one long look back at Tenshinhan before commenting aloud. "A shame. You looked strong and I was excited by your resolve. Too bad you had to be boring and be held back by your green friend."
Tenshinhan didn't respond.
Instead he, Dende and Piccolo silently watched helplessly as the draconic destroyer carried Goku over her shoulder back to her egg shaped vessel. Her tail swished happily, and she made a noticeable humming sound as Vados followed behind her.
As soon as she reentered with her aide, the soldiers filed back inside and the red carpet rolled itself back inside the ship. The surface rippled, sealing the doorway and then swiftly taking off the ground in an aurora of light. A loud thunderous boom followed its departure from the planet and out of their space.
Whis sighed, looking cagley back at the group as they all bore the weight of failure and guilt in respective takes. He found it fascinating how no one individual responded to stimuli the same as the other. Other creatures he and Beerus encountered over eons had very hive minded to group mentality.
Perhaps this is the reason he felt inclined to involve them especially more than the other more impulsive ones first. Or merely it was curiosity, who could say? Only his father could tell him exactly what motivated Whis to do the things he does.
"So…" Piccolo piped up, looking at Tenshinhan and then at the distant Dende, still staring up at the sky. "I have a plan. But we need the Kaioshin in order to achieve it."
"What is it?" The Crane Schooler asked.
"Kibitoshin is the only being that has teleportation as an ability, a superior one at that. If we can figure out where Goku's been taken, we can get in and out before Ragon finds out," He explained. "As for Ragon herself, if she throws a fit, she can't tresspass into another Universe not her own and start a warpath; especially if Goku doesn't want to return."
"Piccolo, that is the dumbest smart plan I've ever heard of," Tenshinhan snorted, swinging an arm for exclamation to his own point. "Okay, even if Kibitoshin agrees and he somehow can teleport into the 6th Universe, then what? We just grab a hold of Goku and hope we can go back the way we came?"
"If Ragon stops us, then we'll have to use the element of surprise against her. We can come up with something!"
"I can't believe what I am hearing!" Dende yelled out, turning around to stare with disbelief at Piccolo. "You are talking about sneaking into a God of Destruction's home! It is already a miracle Lord Beerus allows us to use his planet and his teacher to train here. But a Hakaishin not familiar to us wouldn't hesitate to destroy us on the spot!"
"But Ragon is different," Piccolo explained, raising a finger to the side of his temple. "She thinks less like a destroyer and more like a warrior. It's why she wants Goku in the first place: they're more alike than even he knows."
"That's an awful risk based on a single encounter," Tenshinhan admitted with a grim retort. "Plus, even if it comes to a fight, there's no guarantee we can win. Especially since she trounced Goku so easily."
"Then we bring Vegehan," The former God of Earth said flatly. Seeing his expression go to shock, he raised a hand to placate him. "You know what's going to happen if we bring him. So we either start a fight for sure, or we go in as covert as possible. If we let this go, I'm sure Goten will be thrilled his dad got nabbed by a Hakaishin and he'll definitely won't tell his mother-"
"Alright!" Tenshinhan exclaimed, cutting Piccolo off as he spoke with exasperation. "We'll do this discretely. I rather not think of the ramifications of involving Vegehan."
"Alright," Piccolo nodded, looking to Whis with a determined glint in his eyes. "If it's at all possible, can you contact Kibitoshin remotely? The less obvious it is we need him for this, the better."
"Of course," Whis accepted, smiling with his eyes closed. "There's nothing I can say to persuade you to cease this mission of yours. Besides, it will be quite dull without my favorite student here."
Dende worried.
Part of him wanted this to work, to see his mentor and the man who fused with Nail to come out victorious. But when dealing with deities, he found plans rarely worked out the way a mortal wants. That was evident when it came down to handling Majin Buu, and again with Beerus.
Let's hope we can do this. I rather not wrangle anyone else into the mess Goku's got himself stuck in now…!
Dragon Ball Zenkai
The Power of Two
Chapter 17 - Godnapped!
Two years.
Vegehan had been alone with his now beautiful wife, Videl, for the past two years. Apart from the occasional check-ups he made at Beerus's planet, the pair had maintained a healthy relationship while also training with Kibitoshin. It was peaceful, and that made the Potara Fused Saiyan very content.
Thanks to Bulma, he managed to settle into a more permanent abode that presided within West City. It was down the same neighbourhood street as Capsule Corp, and this allowed Bulma to come by to visit when she wasn't busy with new inventions or helping run the company. Videl liked the place and proceeded to make it equal parts cosy and fitting for a tomboyish-human-turned-Saiyan.
The first floor had a cherry hardwood floor with a red painted front door, having a nice contrast to the white and blue exterior dome shaped structures with stretches of window panes and a rectangular spaced picket fenced pair of yards. Past the front entry it had a nice spacious kitchen with double refrigerators and a deep freezer bordering it with an octagonal array of dark red lacquered cabinets full of food stuffs. Near the back is a dining room with full view of the screen door leading to a gymnasium tailored to their Saiyan physiology; even possessing a gravity chamber within the side next to the bench presses with a pool adjacent to that.
Up the stairs next to the dining room presided a simple blue and white hallway that circled around the ovular second floor. The immediate left room is a large bathroom with a shower, hot tub and bath. Down a ways is a guest room currently used for storage and along the street facing the end of the hall is their bedroom. Possessing a broad mattress with a deep set of crimson sheets and blankets with plenty of cushions, it had a black carpet flooring with blue walls and a glass domed sunroof that had retractable triangular metal fins.
On top of the glass dome of the home meditated Videl and Vegehan inches above their bedroom. Their minds were in sync, with their bodies emitting a faint flame of blue depicting their spirits being put to the test. They sparred, moving about in dizzying speeds and launching an array of attacks that outside in the world they lived in would cause untold collateral devastation.
Videl wore a black sleeveless tank top with an orange sports bra that revealed the top of her breasts. Black fingerless gloves wrapped over hands that rested on her crossed legs' knees, which were black tight pants that accentuated her lower body's physique and a pair of sandals over her feet.
In compliment, Vegehan was covered in a blue tank top with a red undershirt, his hands gloved by forearm length white coverings. They rested on his own knees which had blue martial art slacks with an orange obi wrapped around his waist and a pair of white boots.
As they trained, the Kaioshin of Universe 7 meditated above them by a hundred feet. He had no glow, simply an expression of concentration on his lavender colored face. His white hair waved in the wind, his thumbs and index fingers touching, his legs straight down as if standing upright on a solid surface.
His own mind beheld a weave of cosmic lights in rivers of stars. His consciousness perceived the Universe farther than ever before, witnessing the deaths of Suns, the birth of new organic life and the next step of technological evolution. Despite two years prior being the end of tens of thousands of planets and star systems, life began anew that he and the other Kaio helped propagate.
All at the same time, he kept an eye on other realms as he kept polishing his psychic and spiritual abilities.
Afterlife was in order, thanks to the end of cosmic clashes being put on hold. He felt bad to the souls who were plunged into the abyss due to colossal mishaps of Buu and Vegehan's ki being released; and even more eradication due to the brief yet violent clash of Vegehan and Beerus.
Hell seems to stir ever since Dabra returned to his domain. Due to his death being so short-lived, none were the wiser and his kingship returned order to the many layered dimension of punishment and suffering. Still he felt something off but whoever is responsible for his sensing were being very subtle and masking their intent even as he peered upon them.
The World of Kaio was still lived in by his elder predecessor. There had been snippets of conversation but nothing really worth discussing. He felt a rift placed between them ever since the issue of Babidi and Buu was resolved. The young Supreme Kaio didn't know just yet to rectify it, but for now, he believed he was in the right and kept his due course as he had been doing.
And lastly, the Destroyer Realm. It is there that he felt fluctuations of divine energy, especially from the Earthlings who sought to train there. Goten and Trunks, Tenshinhan and Chaozu, Yamcha, Piccolo and Dende, with Goku being the most obvious.
Vegehan agreed upon training with what he learned from Beerus fighting him and with the assistance from the Lord Creator himself, the training could continue at a less intense pace. This was due to the Potara Warrior wanting to finally marry Videl and spend quality time with her in between the necessity of getting stronger. She acclimated to it, her natural combat affinity heightened thanks to Dr. Gero's modifications to her body, making her a perfect match for the Fused Saiyan in more ways than one.
Kibitoshin also benefited through teaching them the essence of using Godly ki. His strength of body improved, endurance and stamina increasing immeasurably. His mental powers maximized, gaining clairvoyance greater than even his elder and psychic ability for great benefit. And with his spirit honed, his control over divine energy became even greater than the students he taught.
It had been strange to think of himself as a teacher. He had always relied upon his attendant, Kibito, to always guide him and offer advice. The Supreme Kaio only earned his title by virtue of his lucky survival and his wits, so he never felt he earned his station; only that his duty came first before anything else.
When Shin became one with Kibito, wisdom came with a new sense of self confidence. He learned to trust his instincts, ask for options from mortals and learned that cooperation was far more beneficial than self imposed segregation and appointed divine arrogance.
Because at the end of everything, all things died. Even he, with his lengthy lifespan, will wither away and die, if not killed by an external factor. So why place yourself above others who are perhaps more impressive if not more important than oneself?
Lost in his reverie, he felt suddenly assailed by a ripple of Godly ki. It felt vast, even from the distance it hailed from. Turning his attention to the Destroyer Realm, he opened his eyes wide at this: Goku and another entity were fighting.
Beneath him, the ping of deified pressure prickled the back of both Videl and Vegehan's necks.
"What was that?!" Videl asked, standing atop the glass ceiling of her home along with her husband.
"It feels like Beerus or Goku is fighting," Vegehan intoned, closing his eyes as he tried to focus. "Dammit! It feels all over the place. I can't pinpoint where or who!"
"It's from Beerus's System," Kibitoshin confirmed, lowering himself down to their level and keeping his eyes at the blue sky. Though the couple couldn't tell, his eyes reflected flashes of light coming off the reverse pyramid, revealing an intense collision of Godly ki. "It could be nothing, but to permeate it this strongly means a fight is happening. I felt their training and it never felt like this."
"Can you tell what exactly is going on?" Videl asked.
"Let me check," Kibitoshin affirmed, narrowing his glare as hard as he could. His vision zoomed in, past the envelope of pink that is the planet's sky. Then he saw a fight, of swift speed and ferocious power that tore apart the surface of the planet. "They're moving too fast for me to tell from this far away. But I can't imagine it being anyone else other than Goku or Beerus being responsible."
"If he's just sparring, then he must be showing off," Vegehan huffed, crossing his arms with visible annoyance. "Because there's no way anyone in this Universe could possibly threaten us. Between everyone who has trained over the past two years, even my brother and son could take care of it at their level."
Kibitoshin knew what Vegehan said had merit to it. However while he could recognize one image of light as Goku's, the other he didn't. It was vibrant, overflowing with a resonant pressure that could only belong to Beerus.
Or, more terrifying, another God of Destruction.
But what would a Hakaishin want, especially in another Universe? Gods had strict areas of influence and responsibilities. If one was to enter another's space, lower gods had to be respectful for fear of being punished or erased by higher authorities. The God Of All being the one he had been only whispered by the Daio Kaioshin being the most fearsome that even Hakaishin fear.
If one was trespassing, then he should consult his elder-
He blinked. He had been so distracted by the potential of an enemy deity that he lost focus of the battle. In a split second it was over, and he sensed no presence left, nor sight of what transpired beyond the horizon of the known Universe.
"It stopped," Videl spoke, feeling nervous as much as relieved. "This is starting to feel like Deja Vu."
"Yeah, and I'm hoping I don't have to be told we have yet another problem on a giant scale to deal with," Vegehan grumbled with crossed arms.
"I don't know," Kibitoshin blinked, his gaze mystified by whatever little he had perceived of the beyond. "Whatever was causing it stopped. Perhaps it is gone because I can't sense where it is now."
The pair were quiet. Looking at one another, they felt something was definitely wrong. To feel Godly ki from even further beyond the World of Kaio meant a serious fight had just happened. But given no cosmic shockwaves rushed by means the control over divine energy was proficient and contained. It had to be Beerus and Goku.
What other reason was there?
Suddenly, a whoosh passed by the three and all three turned their heads. A familiar pink blob hovered in the air, munching on a large tub of ice cream with a spoon. Blinking, they saw him just staring at them, and then up, then back at them.
"Buu, what are you doing here?" Vegehan asked with a snort of annoyance.
"Bored," He smacked in between liquid sloshing munches. "Satan sleeping. Buu wants to play."
"I'll play with you later," The Potara Warrior spoke dismissively, looking away disgruntledly. "Go away, we're busy."
"Where Goku?" Buu asked in between smacks.
"He's away training," Videl explained with a bit more patience. "I don't know if dad told you that."
"Oh Buu knows," Buu smiled with a layer of ice cream on his face. "Buu trains with Goku in secret."
"Really?" Kibitoshin asked, sharing his curiosity with Videl while Vegehan rolled his eyes in disbelief. "When? For how long?"
"A while," He smugly said in a vague way.
"The fat oaf is probably mistaking a literal child's game for training," Vegehan mocked derisively with a smirk. "As if Goku would take time to indulge your impatience when he just wants to surpass me."
"Buu not lying!" Buu frowned, his voice squealing as his lips pooched out at the Fused Saiyan. "Buu really trained!"
"Whatever you say," Vegehan sighed with a humored smile.
"When was the last time you trained with Goku?" Kibitoshin asked with audible inquiry.
Tilting his head at a ninety degree angle, Buu rubbed his chocolate covered spoon over his pudgy neck up to his chin. As puffs of steam emitted from his head, his antennae shot up in a visible blink and he stuck his tongue out to lick up the ice cream stains in a single motion.
"Buu trained yesterday!" He exclaimed. "It was a lot of fun! Buu learned all sorts of stuff!"
"That's fascinating," Kibitoshin smiled with amazement. "It sounds like something Goku would do. Especially since he's taken an active role to teach others what he knows as of late."
"It's possible," Videl agreed, looking at Vegehan with a furrowed brow. "Don't dismiss it completely. Buu may not show it, but he probably has been getting stronger when we haven't been noticing."
"I'll believe it when I see it," He grunted.
"Boy, you are stubborn!" The raven haired woman huffed.
"And you love me that way," Vegehan recalled with a smile.
"Flattery only gets you so far," Videl replied with a half smile back at him.
"You're right, some alone time will make the difference," He hinted to Kibitoshin and Buu with a sparing glance to the pair; both of which appeared to be ignoring him.
"How can you tell he's gone?" Lord Kaioshin asked with hands raised.
"Buu knows. Buu can tell if a spiky haired man called Goku is gone or far away," The Djinn replied simply, angling his head back up at the sky. "Buu finds it strange. Something big came by, Goku fought big something, then big something left. Did Goku get eaten?"
"Goku did not get eaten!" Vegehan retorted with sudden anger. "And if he did, then I'm going to get him regurgitated to make him wish he was digested!"
"And Buu, not everything eats like you do," Videl added.
"Oh, did I call at a bad time?"
The voice of Whis suddenly cut through their conversation like a hot knife through butter. Everyone looked up, seeing a faint ghostly image of the attendant of Beerus staring down at them.
"Whis!" Vegehan exclaimed, jabbing a finger at him. "I should have known you would show up! What happened?"
"I haven't the faintest idea what you mean~"
A pair of veins outlining the Fused Saiyan's pronounced forehead bulged at the sing-song response.
"What is it you wish to speak to us about?" Kibitoshin asked in a more neutral tone.
"This is for your ears alone, Lord Creator," Whis intoned, his voice edging to a bit more serious manner than normal. "Come to the Destroyer Realm. We'll discuss this a bit more privately there."
Instantly everyone - sans a ice cream tub chewing Majin Buu - looked suspicious. Kibitoshin furrowed his brows and waved his arm about to the audience he had.
"Do they not deserve to know what this is about? After all, everyone here felt something happened only minutes ago," He declared outright.
"Did they now?" The image of Whis stared at them, and Buu especially. Just as quickly, he smiled and spoke to Kibitoshin again. "It isn't that I don't share your faith in your Earthling colleagues. I just think discretion is more desirable than brute force. Don't you agree?"
"I am no brute, Whis!" Vegehan snapped with an upraised fist shaking at him. "And if you leave me out of this, you'll only regret it! Now tell me what has happened!"
"Like I said, I don't know what you are talking about," Whis responded with a stoic expression that looked nonplussed to Vegehan's outburst.
"Just leave it alone," Videl tried to placate her husband, placing her hands on his arm to his left. "We'll find out," she turned to glare at Whis, "eventually."
"I'm sorry," Kibitoshin responded, flickering out of view and across space. Gone, thanks to his use of the godly Instantaneous Movement technique, Whis's image disappeared from the sky.
Swallowing hard, Buu patted his rotund tummy and looked to the two dejected Saiyans. Grinning he patted Vegehan's head, bringing a surprised look from the Fused Saiyan.
"There there! Buu help Veggie-hands!" He spoke out.
Sighing, he didn't even bother correcting the childish pronunciation of his name. Instead the Potara Saiyan turned to look at him with crossed arms and an arched brow.
"How?" He asked.
Buu mischievously grinned with his normally squinted eyes open wide.
As Kibitoshin explained the situation, he felt his blood go cold. A foreign god, a successor to the late Lord Champa, defeated Goku in battle and took him with her back to the 6th Universe? And Beerus had gone back to sleep, meaning he allowed the situation to happen!
He didn't know whether to laugh or cry. This situation was far more dire and absurd than the time Beerus went looking for the Super Saiyan God. Only in this case, the situation looks like it won't be solved so easily.
"Your plan to rescue Goku sounds daring, sensible in its simplicity but has way too many risks," Kibitoshin said, looking to Piccolo who stood in front of him with Tenshinhan and Dende flanking his left and right flanks respectively; with Whis standing off to the side with stave in hand.
"Yeah, I know it's crazy, but that's probably the only one that will work," Piccolo countered with a raised hand. "If we let this drag out, who knows if Goku will break free on his own or eventually get comfortable there? Not to mention if Goten and Chi-Chi finding out will be a lot worse of an issue to deal with on its own."
"Anything short of getting Beerus involved will require a full scale invasion into another Universe," Tenshinhan added, grimacing at his own helplessness from only just earlier. "And I don't know if we can win this, even with Vegehan's help."
"I still think it's a mistake leaving him out of this," Dende criticized, looking visibly anxious at the current conversation unfolding. "Why endanger ourselves by leaving out our strongest asset?"
"Because, if at all possible, we're trying to avoid a fight," Piccolo rebuked his younger successor with a scant look before going back to appealing to Kibitoshin. "Lord Creator, you are the only one left in this Universe who can teleport us in and out without needing concentration like Goku does. If you can help us locate him and get us to reclaim him, we won't have to fight at all."
Kibitoshin had to think critically about this. He understood now the gravity of the situation. A Hakaishin has abducted not just a one of a kind warrior from this Universe, but a valued comrade and lifelong friend. If they went in with hostile intentions, there would be no telling the havoc that could ripple outwards from it.
But, if they went through with this without their strongest assets, then they may as well throw themselves at a foreign god's mercy.
Failure wasn't an option here.
"Alright, I'll do as you ask," Kibitoshin answered calmly, looking stern as he raised a finger to the three. "But if this turns belly up, we will escape by any means necessary. I don't want a fight with another Universe, especially a Hakaishin, to erupt against us."
While seriousness still held their resolve intact, a look of relief washed over the three's faces. A chance for success rang in their minds. Perhaps this endeavor wasn't impossible after all?
Whis observed with interest. Apart from whatever hackneyed adventure gallivanting across Universe 7, it had been some time since an excursion of this magnitude transpired. He recalled eons ago of deities and mortals in the past, each one being rambunctious or contrasting each other vastly as time separated them.
These three had the makings of future greatness, he could see it.
Though, from the corner of his eye, he felt something peering in on their current discourse. It didn't feel hostile but it was familiar enough that he knew instantly who it was. Smiling to himself, he kept this silent if only for his own amusement's sake.
Things are going to get very exciting very soon…
Soaring through the cosmos went the Cosmic Shell, the egg-shaped vessel of the 6th Universe Hakaishin. It didn't take long for it to pass the envelope of the 7th and past the expanse to the 6th, streams of stars blending into a white backdrop across the swiftly moving craft. Every Destroyer had their own means of moving quickly across the Multiverse and Ragon's was a special feat of engineering that none save for the attendants have produced.
Sitting upon her throne, the draconic Hakaishin smiled ear to ear, humming joyfully to herself. It had been some time since she had a mate of her own, and especially one so strong. For a Saiyan he wasn't bad looking either, and she certainly was eager to give him the grand tour of her home Universe.
"Vados, is our lovely guest patched up?" She asked thoughtfully to her nearby attendant.
"Yes, Lord Ragon," The tall woman answered with a smile. "And I took the liberty to restrain him should he awake."
"That's unfortunate," Ragon sighed, her lips turning to a frown. "Guess it can't be helped. He'll likely have some temporary memory loss and confusion from the last hit I gave him to the head."
"I'm surprised you exerted yourself to such a degree to defeat him," Vados commented with a turn of her head. "As far as mortals go, he is likely the strongest Saiyan you've come across."
"Compared to my Universe full of them, he is a maverick for sure," She agreed with a nod. "He must have had a life full of conflict to become as skilled and powerful as he is. My realm feels nearly peaceful if he is an example of the turmoil that is wrought within Lord Beerus's domain."
"I was certain you wished to battle Lord Beerus instead of Son Goku," Vados stated with an unspoken question lingering in the air.
"You know that it is forbidden for Gods of Destruction to fight each other as much as your kind is to fight seriously," Ragon reminded her attendant, side glancing her aide with a knowing stare. "I may love to fight, but I'm not stupid. Unless we could fight in an endless void, there would be no chance of anything around us surviving. Not even you."
"Hmmm," Vados hummed thoughtfully, turning to stare ahead at the bridge. The star filled canvas began to whir back to normalcy, and a uniquely shaped world unraveled before them and the deck's crew.
A pillar of igneous black lifted itself up to produce a platform and five branching pyres of magma flame constantly spoutint sulfur and liquid fire into space. Trickling down to create a circular sea of reddish-black along the platform's perimeter, a lush oasis of green surrounding a floating sphere of pulsing red. From a distance, it looked like a black arm holding up a red star in its palm.
"It seems we've nearly reached our destination," Vados stated.
"Home sweet home~" Ragon sang out joyfully.
Turning her head to the flooring near her throne where an ovular door presided. She didn't sense anything wrong but she became worried.
"Fear not, Lord Ragon," Vados spoke with a reassuring smile aimed to her. "Son Goku will love his new home in time. I promise."
"Yeah, you're right," Ragon sighed, placing a hand over Vados's shoulder and squeezed it affectionately. "You've been a big help. I didn't think things could go as well as they have, but with your help, I am the Goddess I am today."
"You do yourself too little credit, Lord Ragon," The taller attendant grasped Hakaishin's hand and gently caressed it back. "Your talents and efforts made you what you are today. You've exceeded all expectations and became a reputable deity among your peers. I just hope this impulse over Son Goku won't end in folly."
"He'll warm up to me, I'm sure of it," She beamed, watching the bridge's display show them entering the planet's atmosphere.
And beneath the hold, within a clear ovular room of white, in a semi-circle bed under restraints over his wrists, ankles and neck was Son Goku; whose eyes just opened in delirium, his voice emitting a moan.
"Where am I?"
A/N: And this is the end of the Chapter. Our heroes have their objective, a new plot is had and we have an antagonist to our Cast.
I enjoyed describing the process of which Piccolo took immediate action to not just defuse a volatile situation but come up with a crazy plan to save his friend. And with Dende and Tenshinhan backing up with Kibitoshin being pointman, they hope their plan goes without a hitch; what could go wrong?
