Last Time, Ash and the gang ended up in a forest full of Bouffalant, they meet Alder, and Ash challenges him to a battle, but unfortunately they had to cut it short, for there was a Bouffalant stampede, everyone ended up lost, but after some crazy shenanigans, they all made it out safely, and Dwebble even evolved into Crustle.
With Team Rocket…
"Okay we're here now" Missile said.
"What now boss?" Meowth asked.
"Well, we gotta get intel on the Plasma base" Missile explained.
"But where do we start?" James asked.
"Just head to the coordinates we discussed earlier, and try not to get caught" Missile said, he then started to walk away.
"Wait! Where do you think you going!?" Jessie asked profusely.
"Somewhere bearable, just do as your told" Missile said, walking away.
"I think he should learn some manners" James said.
"Or maybe we'll teach him some" Jessie said.
"He may be better than us, but that doesn't mean we can't strike back" Meowth said.
With Ash, and the gang…
"Well, we're finally here" Cilan said, taking in the fresh air.
"So now that we are here, are we gonna eat like we always do?" Iris asked, stomach growling.
"Well, of course! Not, I want to explore first" Ash said.
"Alright then, let's go e- wait, you wanna do what now?" Iris said, confused.
"Yeah, I said wanna go explore" Ash said, profusely.
"Well, what are we waiting for then, let's explore" Cilan said.
"The one time when I'm actually hungry, of course" Iris said, grumpily.
"Hey guys! Long time, no see!" A young blond man said.
"Cody! It's been a while" Ash said, recognizing the voice near instantly.
"Yeah, I just happened to be nearby looking at all the mountains, it's a nice day out you know" Cody said. Ash is here? Wonderful, knowing him he'll rush right in, and try to 'save the day' better tell that to the boss.
"So Cody what are you doing here anyway?" Iris asked.
"Oh you know me, just looking around, seeing the sights, meeting new people" Cody said, of course he didn't really do that, he was just a disguise, a disguise for Missile, but of course, our heroes don't know that. "What are you guys doing here?"
"Ash is getting his 6th gym badge" Cilan said, not adding much to the conversation.
"That's great, I heard there's this really great place just up the path, it's called Mistralton tower, I heard it's a real sight" Cody said, trying to get Ash to leave ASAP so he can not ruin the mission.
"Hmm, well I don't feel like traveling through any more forests, I think I'll just challenge the gym, and stay a bit" Ash said, scratching his head.
"Well, it's perfectly fine" Cody said, eye twitching. How can I possibly change his mind, hmm.
"ASH!" A voice rang out, suddenly a blond haired boy, rushed Ash, knocking him over.
"Hey watch it!" Ash said, getting up.
"Ash! You remember me do you!?" The boy said, it was none other than Trip.
"Oh hey Trip, how have you been doing?" Ash said nervously, as Trip was acting like a maniac.
"Uh who are you?" Cody asked, he remember everyone at least a little bit, well everyone but Trip.
"I'm Trip! And I want a battle with Ash!" Trip shouted out loud, a small crowd had gathered around, wonderful.
"Ash, are you fine with this?" Cilan asked.
"I mean I guess" Ash said.
"Well then, I'll be the referee" Cody said.
"Good luck Ash" Iris said.
"Yeah, cause you'll need it!" Trip said.
"Okay" Ash said.
"Six on six! No switching!" Trip called.
"Sure thing, Pikachu you wanna start?"
'You bet!'
"Gurdurr, make mince meat out of him!" Trip said, tossing Gurdurr's pokeball, who looked grumpier than before.
"Battle begin!" Cody shouted.
"Pikachu Thunderbolt!"
"Gurdurr block it!"
Pikachu unleashed a Thunderbolt at Gurdurr, but it used it's girder to absord the electricity.
"Whoa! What's he doing?" Iris asked.
"I don't know, but it seems strange" Cilan said.
"This will be an interesting battle" Cody said, watching intently.
"Pikachu, Iron Tail!"
"Block that!"
Pikachu went to strike Gurdurr, but his tail touched Gurdurr's girder, and ended up getting shocked.
"Hahaha! Now I basically have an electric shield!" Trip said, laughing crazily.
"Darn, looks like physical attacks won't work, and all of Pikachu's special moves are electric type, and will be absorbed!" Ash said, realizing the hole he's dug.
"Is that even allowed?" Iris asked.
"Well, I have heard a trainer once used Thunderbolt on their own pokemon, and got armor from it" Cilan said.
"That seems ridiculous" Iris said.
"Gurdurr, use Bulk Up over, and over" Trip said.
"Uh oh" Pikachu tried to hit Gurdurr somehow, but couldn't allowing it to get super buff.
"Now use, Stone Edge!" Gurdurr fired some super powered Stone Edges, and knocked out Pikachu in one hit.
"You did great buddy, who can use against this" Ash then got an idea. "Go Krokorok!"
"Ha! No problem for us!"
"Krokorok use Crunch!"
"You know what to do Gurdurr" Krokorok bit into Gurdurr, completely unharmed.
"What!?" Trip said surprised.
"Krokorok's a ground type, he's not affected by electric type moves" Ash said.
"Grr, whatever we'll still win! Gurdurr use Dynamic Punch!"
"Dodge, and use Dig!"
Krokorok dug out of the way, and dug right into Gurdurr, after some more moves, Gurdurr went down.
"Grrr, whatever you may have won the battle, but I'll win the"
"Yeah, yeah just send out your next pokemon" Cody said impatiently.
"Vanillish, eat these guys for ice cream!" Trip released his Vanillish, who was smiling, but not on the inside.
"Alright Krokorok, you ready?"
'As ready as I'll ever be'
"Vanillish use Sheer Cold!"
"Uh oh, careful Krokorok"
Vanillish released a frigid fog which engulfed Krokorok, and froze him solid, fainting him in the process.
"Well, return" Ash said, disappointed.
"Haha! Beat him again! Fair, and square!" Trip said, although everyone was booing him.
"He does know he used an OHKO move right?" Iris said.
"Yeah, that kind of play is cheap at best, and risky at worst" Cilan said.
"What a fool, Blizzard would've been a much better choice, he just happened to get lucky" Cody said.
"Okay, Whirlipede, come out!" Whirlipede came out ready to battle.
"Ha! We'll win this easy, Sheer Cold again!"
"Whirlipede dodge, and use Rollout!"
Of course Sheer Cold missed, which gave Whirlipede the chance to slam into Vanillish, and did some damage.
"What!? You must've of cheated!" Trip said, idiotically.
"Or maybe you should've gone with Blizzard, it's 100% accurate after all" Cody said, unimpressed.
"Whirlipede use Rollout once more!" Whirlipede slammed into Vanillish again, and this time knocked it out.
"Doh, whatever I'm still winning!"
"Well actually it's ti-"
"Unfezant, I've got some bird seed for you!" Trip sent out his now fully evolved Unfezant, looking tired, and bored.
"Alright Whirlipede start with a Rollout" Ash ordered.
"Dodge and use Air Slash!" Trip demanded.
Unfezant tried to dodge, but due to exhaustion from excessive training, it got hit instead.
"Doh, why aren't you dodging?!" Trip moaned.
"The best recipe for well trained pokemon is sleep, and determination" Cilan said.
"And a trainer who actually care" Iris said.
"If you can't take the heat, don't be a trainer" Cody said, facepalming.
Unfezant fell to sleep, and a few more Rollout meant lights out for the duration of the battle.
"Grah! Whatever this next one will take you out for sure! Lampent roast these guys!" Lampent came out, looking even deader somehow.
"Alright, let's do this, Whirlipede Pursuit!"
"Fire Blast!"
Whirlipede dashed forwards, but Lampent spat out an enormous spray of fire, and knocked her out.
"Oh well, return, Oshawott, I choose you!" Ash sent out Oshawott, who was ready to battle.
"Hahaha! Trip wins again!" Trip said, valiantly, despite the boos he was getting from the crowd.
"He knows the battle only half over, right?" Iris said, sweat dropping.
"Oh boy, What happened over these past few weeks?" Cilan said, looking down in pity.
"Hmm, this kind of obsession, it's pathetic, but great things could come of it, if he's desperate enough" Cody said, smirking.
"Okay then, Oshawott come on out!" The little otter came out excited as ever.
"Hahaha! No problem for us Lampent use Shadow Ball!"
"Cut through, and Aqua Jet into it!"
Lampent fired a Shadow Ball, only for it to be sliced in two, and then Oshawott charged through and striked Lampent.
"Lampant use Confuse Ray!"
"Uh oh! Dodge it!"
Oshawott tried to dodge, but got confuzzled.
"Haha! Now your Oshawott is completely immobilized.
"I wouldn't say that, Oshawott stay focused, just clear your mind of everything else, and just look at the flame, look"
"Whatever, you're doing it's not gonna work, Lampent use Solar Beam!"
"Oshawott, focus, dodge, and hit with Aqua Jet!"
Lampent charged up Solar Beam, and fired the super effective move, but Oshawott miraculously dodged, and hit Lampent with Aqua Jet knocking it out.
"Wow, Ash always seems to be able to counter confusion in some way" Iris said.
"What brilliant strategies he always concocts" Cilan said.
"Hmm, status moves aren't very useful on you huh Ash, interesting" Cody observed.
"Haha! So you may have defeated my Lampent, but my Jellicent will be sure to take you down, drown them in their own blood!" Trip sent out Jellicent, looking fierce, very fierce, like really really fierce, almost murderous.
"Okay Oshawott, you got this?" The otter snapped out of his confusion, and nodded in response to his trainer.
"Jellicent Scald!"
"Dodge it!"
Oshawott terrified tried his best to dodge, but of course he got hit.
'Come on, two Scalds in four chapters, please don't let this become a running gag' Oshawott said, breaking the 4th wall.
"Haha! Now my master plan can go into action! Jellicent Hex!"
"Dodge it!"
A massive eye appeared and started staring right at Oshawott, it emitted a shockwave, and did some damage to the otter.
"Oshawott, keep yourself together, use Razor Shell!"
"I wouldn't do that if I were you" Trip said, smugly.
Oshawott struck Jellicent in the forehead, but instead of doing damage, Jellicent got more health, despite being at max.
"Huh? What happened?"
"Don't you know Jellicent has Water Absorb, whenever you hit it with a Water type move, then it'll heal Jellicent instead of damaging it, what are you gonna do now? Or should I say water you gonna do now!" Trip said, proudly.
"Wow, that's a really bad pun" Iris said, sweat dropping.
"Can't we just get a good old fashion pokemon battle?" Cilan asked.
"Hmm, it's strange we both use bullshit strategies, yet this chap is way inferior, but where there's a will, there's a way" Cody said.
"Alright Oshawott, that burn's gonna hurt, and it's half damage isn't doing us any favors, alright Oshawott, use Aqua Jet, and aim straight at the sky"
"Shenanigans! You can't do that in a battle!" Trip shouted freaking out.
"You're one to talk" Iris said.
Oshawott engulfed himself in water, and launched himself into the sky, the water cooled down his fur causing Burn to go away, he landed on the ground unburned, and ready to go.
"Haha! You may have gotten rid of burn once, but you can't do it again!" Trip said. "Scald now!"
"Oshawott block it with your Scalchop"
Jellicent sent out a steaming bolt of water, but Oshawott blocked it, and it went flying everywhere, hitting Jellicent, and burning it instead.
"What!? That's so cheap!" Trip said, freaking out.
"I smell some hypocrisy here" Cilan said.
"Alright Oshawott, now's our chance, use Fury Cutter!"
"Dodge it!"
Oshawott struck Jellicent with Fury Cutter, and did some damage.
"Jellicent Night Shade!"
"Dodge, and counter with another Fury Cutter"
Oshawott dodged Jellicentks Night Shade, and got in another Fury Cutter knocking it back a bit, after some more Fury Cutters Jellicent was down.
"Doh! How come your Oshawott is so dang resilient?!" Trip said.
"Skill, and a good attitude my man, clearly something you lack" Cody said, unapologetically.
"What do you know about training!?" Trip said in anguish.
"A lot more than you kid" Cody said, even less apologetic than before. I bet you'd still get swept by Eelecktross, heck even by Mienshao
"Trip are you okay?" Ash asked, worried.
"Why I'm doing great! In fact I think you should be worried about yourself!" Trip said, throwing out his final pokeball.
Out came Servine, who was different, not in a bad way, but he was different, in a way.
'Well, time for a battle I guess, good luck to you Oshawott' Servine said.
'You seem less arrogant than before' Oshawott said back.
'Things have changed, I've seen how destructive an arrogant mind can be, it's better to be apathetic'
'Alright then, good luck I guess'
'Good luck to you too'
"Alright, Oshawott use Fury Cutter"
"Dodge, and use Coil"
Servine effortlessly dodged Oshawott's Fury Cutter, and Coiled raising his speed, and power considerably.
"Better watch out Ash, if Servine gets enough Coils off, he'll become nearly unbeatable.
"You're right, okay, Oshawott Aqua Jet into a Fury Cutter!"
"Counter with Leaf Blade"
Oshawott dashed forwards, engulfed in water, and got ready to slash, but Servine smacked him down with a Leaf Blade, and knocked him out in one move.
"Oh well, you did great Oshawott, okay Rufflet come out!"
"Haha! See? I've got you now!" Trip said, laughing, more boos came from the crowd.
"Come on Ash, you got this!" Iris shouted.
"Yeah, you can take him!" Said Cilan.
"Hmm, this can only two ways, and frankly, I kinda wanna see this Trip fellow get pounded into the ground" Cody said, smirking.
"Okay Rufflet, use Wing Attack"
"Dodge, and Coil"
Rufflet went for a Wing Attack, but missed, and Servine got off another Coil.
"Servine, use an Aerial Ace!"
"Uh oh, try to counter with Slash"
Servine, and Rufflet traded blows, and they both took an equal amount of damage.
"Alright Rufflet, use Fury Swipes"
"Servine, block it with Coil!"
Servine Coiled himself simultaneously making himself stronger, while also protecting himself from the barrage of attacks from Rufflet.
"Haha! I've got you right where I want you! Giga Drain, now!"
"Uh oh!"
Servine drained Rufflet's energy, and restored him to full.
"Now knock them out with Leaf Blade!"
"Dodge it!"
Servine uppercutted Rufflet with Leaf Blade, knocking her out.
"Oh no! That means Ash only has one Pokemon left" Iris said.
"And that Pokemon happens to be this Servine's biggest rival" Cilan said.
"Snivy, the last time I saw you was in Driftveil, and before that in Nimbasa you were quite strong, and even beat your evolved form, I wonder how you'll take this guy on, and if you are willing to join me again, not like you'll have much of a choice" Cody said.
"Servine I choose you!" Ash sent out Servine, who came face to face with her old rival Servine, this is gonna be real confusing.
'Hey cutie been a while since we last met, I see you've evolved' He said.
'Yeah, I guess I did, I see you've changed a little too, yet you haven't stopped calling me cutie' She said.
'How can I when you're so cute, in a way' He said.
'What's that supposed mean?' She said.
"Alright, Servine start with Aerial Ace!"
'Well I guess I have to hit you now, this isn't personal by the way' He said, before leaping forward, and striking her, knocking her back a bit.
'Don't worry it's not like I'll lose to you anyway' She said, trying to use Swagger.
'Sorry cutie, not gonna work on me' He said, before slashing her with Leaf Blade.
'Alright then, just warming up!' She said, using Aqua Tail, now the battle really begun.
She went for a Pursuit, but He dodged, and Coiled up.
She went for an Aqua Tail, and struck him doing some damage.
He Giga Drained her, and healed himself up.
'Feeling tired yet?' He asked Her.
'Nah, I fact I'm feeling great' She said, she dashed forwards, and struck Him, knocking Him back a bit.
He kept going though, and struck back with an Aerial Ace.
She, and He charged up their respective tail moves, and dueled like two squires from enemy kingdoms.
"Wow, it looks like Trip, and Ash's Servines are evenly matched" Iris said, surprised.
"This has sure been an exciting battle" Cilan said, impressed.
"Hmm, how interesting" Cody said, watching intensely.
'You might as well just give up' He said, jumping back, and Coiling once more. 'This fight's been fun, but you know you'll lose'
'In your dreams' She said, before unleashing a volley of Vine Whips, He blocked most of them with his tail, but grabbed one of her vines, with his hands.
He seized his opportunity using his super-powered strength to pull her up, and throw her around.
Surprised, She tried to pull back, but was thrown around the arena, slamming against the walls, and floor, before being yanked towards her foe, and Leaf Bladed into unconsciousness, which means.
"Trip, surprisingly, wins!" Cody called out, shocked filled the crowd only to be replaced with boos, and dissapointment.
"Haha! I win! Oh in your face! Who beat you? I beat you! Yeah!" Trip said, dancing around overjoyed.
'Sorry cutie, just did what had to be done' He said.
'Uh, that was, that was, uh' She said, utterly defeated.
