Last Time, The Ash gang pokemon and Derik's pokemon meet in a "friendly" situation for the first time, it goes mostly well, but for one Volcarona it's a massive risk, she calls most of her other teammates to discuss Derik's decision, they agree to stay as distant as possible, some more so than others, Bisharp in particular is not completely sincere, for he knows that Servine is the same Snivy that abandoned Derik years ago, in the night said Servine runs off to learn Leaf Storm, she struggles, but Derik followed her, and offers to help her learn, at the end of the night Servine successfully pulls it off, they head back to camp and continue the journey.
The gang plus Cody were still on the road to Iccirus city…
*growl* "Hungry again Ash?" Cilan asked.
"What that wasn't me!" Ash said, nearly falling over.
"Yeah you're right, it was me" Cilan said, scratching the back of his head embarrassed.
"Well I guess we better eat then" Iris said.
"Is this really why they stop, all the time?" Cody asked, mostly to himself.
So the gang plus Cody set up camp, and ate, they released all their pokemon to eat as well.
'Man this really good!' Eelektross said, gorging on his bowl.
'You're such a glutton' Gothitelle muttered under her breath.
'Cilan's cooking is always great' Pansage said, chomping on his food.
'Yeah, I could get used to this!' Eelektross said, bowl now empty. 'Hey Gothitelle could I have yours?'
'I think I've already lost my appetite, take it'
'Alright! Om nom nom'
After a while, pretty much everyone had finished.
'Who wants to play ball!?' Pikachu shouted to everyone, he was holding a ball.
Braviary, Axew, Emolga, Crustle, Servine, Oshawott, Deino, Cilan, Ash, and Mienshao ran over to play.
'Wait a second, what do you think you're doing?' Volcarona asked Mienshao.
'Uh, coming over to play?' Mienshao responded.
'And what? Blow our cover?' Volcarona closed in. 'You can't just socialize with anyone you know, you could put us in jeopardy!'
'I can socialize with whoever I want, and who are you to call the shots?' Mienshao retaliated.
'Bisharp may be the leader between us, but that doesn't change the fact that what you are doing is putting us all at risk'
'Well, I feel like playing ball, and I control me, so that means I'm gonna go play ball!' Mienshao said, walking away.
'You're still putting us all in danger!'
Everyone had gathered around to play ball.
'Alright, ready? Go!' Pikachu said, tossing the ball up and smacking it with his tail.
'I got it!' Emolga said, bumping it in the air.
'Catch it Axie!' Braviary said, smacking the ball towards the ground.
'Auntie Servine over here!' Axew said, knocking the ball over to her.
'Catch it!' Servine said, smacking the ball with her vines.
"And bounce!" Ash said, bouncing the balk with his hands.
'Alright!' Said Deino as he head butted the ball.
'I got this!' Crustle said, he knocked the ball with his claw, sending it flying fast towards Oshawott. 'Uh oh! Look out!
'Ah it's too fast!' Oshawott said, he braced for impact, but felt nothing.
Mienshao had intercepted the ball. 'Take that!' She Poison Jabbed it, causing it to fly way off.
'Whoa, that was amazing' Oshawott said, mostly to himself, he felt his face getting red.
'Sorry about that Oshawott' Crustle said, walking up to him.
'Wow' The otter could only mutter.
'Uh I think Oshawott got a little shocked' Crustle said. 'I didn't mean to do that, really!'
'We all make mistakes sometimes' Mienshao said.
"Well someone's gotta get the ball" Ash cut in.
"I'll go get it" Cilan offered.
"Alright, run like the wind Cilan" Ash said.
Cilan ran towards the ball, which had gotten stuck in a bush, he went over to pick it up, but he found something.
"Huh, it's a Petilil" Cilan said, indeed the poor little grass type must have been bonked by the ball, it was curled up hurt. "Someone oughta get you better"
Cilan returned with the ball, and the Petilil in his hands.
"What's that Cilan?" Ash asked.
"It's a Petilil, I found it injured, it must have gotten struck by our ball" Cilan explained.
"Oh I see, do you think you can heal it back up?"
"Yeah, I think so, here take the ball, I'm gonna grab a potion"
And with that Cilan ran off. "Sorry guys, I guess we'll have to cut the game short" Ash said, going to help Cilan.
'So uh, what now?' Crustle asked.
'I say we all go to sleep' Emolga said, sleeping on the spot.
Back with Cilan…
Ash had just come over, Cilan had gotten a potion and nursed the Petilil back to health.
"There healed" Cilan said, the Petilil opened it's eyes.
'Huh? What happened?' She said, jerking around. 'What did you spray on me!?'
"It seems kinda jumpy" Ash commented.
"Hey, hey it's okay I just healed you up"
'From what?! What did you do!? What did you do!?'
"Calm down, you were just struck by a ball"
'A ball!? I don't even know what that is!' Suddenly Petilil discharged an explosion of Stun Spore, and shot off to the others.
Cilan and Ash were put in paralysis.
Back to the others…
They were pretty much just lolly gagging around, until.
*bonk* 'Ow' Pikachu said, he was hit on the head by Petilil. 'What was that?'
'Is that, a Petilil?' Servine responded.
'Ah! Who are you people?! Where am I!? When am I!? Are we all just in some kid's weird writing on a website!? I don't even know what a website is!'
'Whoa calm your horses, slow down' Axew said.
'Don't hurt me please! I know Magical Leaf, and I'm not afraid to use it!' Petilil said, grass conjuring from her body.
'Don't worry we're not gonna hurt you' Pikachu said.
'How do I know, you won't?' Petilil asked, quieting down.
'Well you just gotta trust us first' Servine chimed in.
'Oh okay, I get it' Petilil said, now calm.
'So uh what are you exactly?' Braviary asked from behind.
'Ah!' Petilil Magical Leafed behind herself, and struck Braviary.
'Oh I see how it is!' Braviary said, rounding up an Air Slash.
'Ruffie, no! It's not her fault' Axew said, holding Braviary back.
'Stay back! I also know Stun Spore!'
'Okay, sometimes you gotta give them a bit of leeway' Pikachu said. 'We all make mistakes sometimes'
'So be trusting, even after they mess up?' Petilil asked.
'Well, if they mess up enough times, then you should probably stop trusting them' Servine added.
'Oh, how do I know when?' Petilil asked.
'It depends, if they don't know better, like Ruffie here, you should probably let it slide' Axew said.
'Yeah sorry, I just have get mad easily' Braviary apologized.
'Oh okay' Petilil said.
"Hey guys!" Ash called out.
'Ah!' Petilil said, releasing another Stun Spore, stunning everyone except Pikachu.
'Also, try, to, be, less, startled' Servine said, paralysis hitting her hard.
"Petilil seemed to have stunned them all" Cilan observed.
"This is gonna be a mess" Ash said. "Where'd Petilil even come from?"
'Well, I actually kinda got lost from my home, I wandered around for a bit, and then you hit me with a ball' Petilil said. 'Could you help me get back?'
"I think Petilil might be lost, we should help her find her way back home" Cilan said.
"Yeah, let's do that" Ash said.
'We'll come with you!' Axew said, standing on Braviary.
"Well alright then" Ash said.
'Yeah, let's go!' Braviary said.
Ash, Cilan, Axew, and Braviary all helped Petilil find her home again.
With Oshawott and Emolga…
Oshawott was lying on a tree, Emolga was bored, so she went over to him.
'What are you doing here?' She asked from above.
'Thinking about stuff' Oshawott said.
'Really? What stuff?' Emolga said, coming down.
'I think, I might be in' Oshawott said, but the last part was mumbled.
'You're in what?'
'I'm in' Oshawott stuttered. 'I'm in l-'
'Locks?'
'No I'm in l-' Oshawott couldn't finish his sentence.
'Lubricant!'
'No, no, not that either, it's lo-, lo-, ungh!'
'Loungh?' Emolga said, tilting her head.
'Love! It's love, I'm in love!' Oshawott shouted, several heads turned towards him. 'Ahem, we're just gonna go over there' Oshawott said, pulling himself, and Emolga into the forest.
'Oh so you like somebody here? Well, I'm sorry Oshawott, but I'm not interested in you' Emolga said.
'The only feelings I have towards you are annoyance and slight amusement' Oshawott said.
'Oh, alright, but who's the lucky girl?' Emolga said, invading Oshawott's personal space.
'It's a secret' Oshawott said.
'It's alright, I understand, one thing I want to know though, is how you're gonna deal with these new found feelings'
'Well the thing is, I have no clue' Oshawott said, but then he got an idea. 'Hey uh, if you don't mind, could you help me out'
'Like how?'
'I don't know give me some advice, what do you usually do when you're in love?'
'Well for one, never make it too obvious, don't talk to them unless they are talking to you'
'Okay, so never bother them for any reason, anything else?'
'Find out exactly what they like, and run with it, the one thing girls hate is being like everyone else, if you treat them like queen they'll be sure to make you their king'
'Wait so don't bother them, but treat them like they're royalty?'
'Well that's how you would win me over, give me food, or screw off, that's how I roll'
'Well, you're you, and my crush isn't you'
'Then you shouldn't have asked me'
'Wait, what does that mean?'
'What I mean is, talk to her, learn about her, and then make you're move'
'Oh, that was really clever, for a second there I thought you were just a really bad dating advisor'
'I'll take that as a compliment, well I'm gonna head off to sleep, good luck Oshawott'
'Thanks Emolga'
Back to Ash and Cilan in the hunt for Petilil's home...
"Where could Petilil's home be?" Ash asked.
"I don't know but we've got to keep looking" Cilan said.
'I sure hope Rufie comes back soon' Axew said, she was searching from the air right now.
'I think it was this way' Petilil said, hopping through a bush, the Cilan, Ash, and Axew came through with her.
When they reached the other side they came across a pretty high cliff.
"Whoa, it's up there?" Ash said.
"Well only one way to the top, come on" Cilan said, he, Ash, Petilil, and Axew scaled the cliff, each helping each other up.
"Ugnh can't reach" Ash said, they were half way to the top, but there no more stones around to climb, they were stuck.
"Hey look vines" Cilan said, indeed there were some trees with vines, if they were cut they could be used to climb up.
"Axew you think you could cut those vines?" Ash asked.
'I'll try' Axew fired a Dragon Pulse, but the vines were too far away, and the Dragon Pulse fell down to the ground.
"Oh man, what are we to do now?" Cilan said.
'I've got an idea' Petilil said, she jumped from the cliff, and Stun Spored, launching her just high enough to land in a tree on the cliff.
"Nice one Petilil!" Ash congratulated.
Petilil cut a vine with Magical Leaf, it swung down to Ash, Cilan, and Axew.
"Now we can climb up" Cilan said, he, Ash, and Axew climbed the vine and were soon on top of the cliff.
The three followed Petilil for a little longer, and then met with a caw.
"Braviary's back" Ash said.
'Ruffie, did you find Petilil's home?' Axew asked, as Braviary landed.
'Yeah, come on, follow me' Braviary said.
Back to Oshawott...
'Uh hi' Oshawott said, to a group of Cody's pokemon, consisting of Mienshao, Volcarona, and Bisharp.
'What do you want?' Volcarona said, agressively.
'I just want to chat, that's all' Oshawott said. 'You know to get to know you guys better.
'Oh really? Cause I don't think so' Volcarona said, closing in, at this point Oshawott was sweating bullets.
'Volcarona let him chat' Bisharp said.
'Grrr, fine, but only because he'd destroy me if I said otherwise' Volcarona said, flying back, muttering some vulgar words.
'Sorry about her' Mienshao said. 'She's a little dodgy, so you said you wanted to chat?'
'Yeah kinda, so what do like, do in your freetime?' Oshawott asked.
'Well tere's lots of things, but I like looking around, world's an interesting place' Mienshao said.
'Train' Bisharp said.
'I'm not answering any of your questions' Volcarona said, sternly. 'I'm outta here' Volcarona flew away.
'What about you what do you like to do?' Miensho asked back.
That's a hard question should I tell the truth, or should I lie? 'Uh I also, like, sight, seeing' Oshawott said, crudely.
'Oh that's nice, maybe we should take a walk down to a river sometime'
'Yeah that would be great' Oshawott said, sweating bullets.
What a buffoon. Bisharp thought. 'Well, see you around Oshawott' Bisharp left, now it was just Oshawott and Mienshao, all alone, in a forest, far from camp, there was a long period of silence, Oshawott had no clue what to do.
'Well, that was an interesting conversation' Mienshao said.
'Yeah, I guess it was' Oshawott said, his expression was priceless, I wish this was animated so you can see it, just imagine the expression that says, I've done something stupid, and I have no idea how to get out of it, it was brilliant.
'I'll be seeing you around I guess, bye' And with that Mienshao left.
Oshawott had no words left, and just slumped over and facepalmed. 'I think I need a therapy session for that' Unbeknownst to him however, Krokorok saw the whole ordeal.
'Wow, that was something, man he really has zero dating experience, I think I've got an idea' Krokorok said to himself. 'Yeah, this will make it up to him for sure, I will make this match happen, if it's the last thing I do!'
Back to Ash, Cilan, Braviary, Axew, and Petilil...
After a while the five finally reached Petilil's home, which was filled with other Petilils.
'Yay! My home' Petilil said, hopping to join her family and friends.
"Well I guess this is the end" Cilan said. "It was nice meeting you Petilil"
'Thanks, I guess not all strangers are bad, well goodbye'
"Goodbye Petilil" Cilan said.
"Well I guess we better head back to camp" Ash said.
"Alright, let's go" CIlan said, walking away.
But suddenly, a Heatmor sprang fro the neighboring trees. 'Haha! I knew I'd find something tasty over here!' It said, it surrounded the area with a Fire Spin.
'Oh no, a Heatmor! He's gonna eat us all!' A Petilil shrieked.
"Ash the Petilil are in danger, we gotta help them!"
"Yeah! Braviary Slash!"
Braviary did a critical Slash, Heatmor stumbled a bit.
'Oh ho, a Braviary eh? I've never had one of those before, but I'm willing to try!' Heatmore said, using Flame Burst, striking Braviary back.
'Take that!' Axew said, Dragon Pulsing the ant eater pokemon.
Heatmor Flamethrowered Axew, only to be struck by an Air Slash from Braviary. 'Ooo the heat of a battle, great atmosphere to have right before lunch, hahaha!'
Heatmor did a critical Slash of his own on Axew, at this point he had the upper hand.
"Come on we gotta go harder" Ash said.
'Hahaha, you're determination is admirable, I sure do like my meals cooked well done! I've got a great taste coming up!' Heatmor said.
'Then you taste my Stun Spore!' Petilil said, blasting Stun Spore into Heatmor's face.
'Ah my eyes! I didn't mean that taste!'
"Petilil, that was great" Cilan said.
'Thanks, now let's defeat this overgrown turd!'
"Alright, use Magical Leaf!" Cilan said, Petilil sliced at Heatmore with Magical Leaf, knocking it out.
'I was just hungry, it's the circle of life ain't it?' Heatmor said, the Fire Spin faded.
"Wow I thought we were toast then" Ash said.
'I'd say we were almost barbecue' Braviary said.
'That was still great regardless, we couldn't have done it without you Petilil' Axew said.
"I think that was truly spendid, it really was great meeting you, even though now we have to depart" CIlan said.
'Yeah you rocked!'
'You took that beast on easily!'
'It was great!' All the other Petilil said at once.
'Ah!' Petilil shot out another Stun Spore, paralysing everyone again.
"Not again" Ash said.
"Well, I guess we better get back, goodbye Petilil" Cilan said.
'Wait, actually I think I wanna come with you' Petilil said.
"Wait, you wanna come with me?" Cilan asked.
'Yeah, before today, I was always couped up here, and I thought it was fine, but after all that's hapened today, I realized that the world's a much bigger and interesting place, and that it's not so scary after all, so yes I would love to come with you' Petilil said.
"Really? Well alright then, pokeball go!" Cilan threw a pokeball, it hit Petilil in her head, she was transferred inside, one shake, two shake, three shake, caught! "I just caught a Petili! Come on out!"
'Hooray, a new friend' Axew said.
"Well let's get back to camp" Ash said.
'Yeah! Let's go!' Braviray shouted.
'Ah!' *BOOM!*
