(This is a recap from the last episode)
Burst Mode!
Kusaka shot the Bee Orphnoch 12 times, the same amount in the blaster. The Bee had blue flames coming out of her body, and then turns to ash. Kusaka then aims at J, pulls the trigger, and succeeds at an headshot, causing J to fall. Kusaka then charges at J, while putting the Kaixa mission memory into the blaster.
Ready!
The blaster then became a lightsaber, but Kusaka held it like he was holding the blaygun in its blaster form. J touches his chest, and Kusaka succeeds on attack J with 3 slash, and finishing with one upper slash, sending J flying near some grass. Kusaka then side-opened the phone, pressed the enter button, and side-closed it.
Exceed Charge!
A yellow surge from the belt into Kusaka's right hand. Kusaka oulled the hammer part at J, who got up, pressed the trigger button, and shot hit J, with a yellow energy yet paralyzing his body. Kusaka does a pose, and super speed runs into J, and slashes J from the inside, then comes out. J has a yellow chi symbol on his chest, and he turns to ash.
Michael then looks at Kusaka, with an hidden hatred face in his helmet.
"Kusaka," Michael muttered.

Episode 18: Friend or Foe?
Kusaka wipes his hand from a cleaning white he had with him.
"Kusaka-kun…there's nothing really wrong with your body?" Rina asked.
"Yeah, I think I'm okay," Kusaka replied, as Kyosuke then touched his left arm and left shoulder. "Hey!"
"You're not turning into an Orphnoch…so that means you can use the Kaixa Belt," Kyosuke said in relief. "All the people that transformed until now lost their humanity."
Michael and Mari remember the battle with Takamiya as the Tortoise Orphnoch, while Rina and Kyosuke remember Inukai as the Ostrich Orphnoch.
"That Kaixa belt?" Kusaka asked. "Hey…what exactly happened? What is that monster…"
"How did you know how to transform like Michael-kun?" Keitaro asked, jumping into the conversation.
"Earlier, I just copied your friend's motions and transformed," Kusaka explained.
"Well…It looks like this belt was given to us by our father…" Mari assumed, as she and Kyosuke took out the Faiz and Kaixa cases respectively. "The one that I was sent by Father, and Michael transformed with the Faiz belt…while the one you used was the Kaixa belt. Michael took it after I accidentally dropped the belt in the lake."
"I think Father sent us the belts to defeat the Orphnoch…after they attacked at the Ryūsei School," Kyosuke assumed. "But we still don't know why they keep following us and trying to kill us."
"Orphnoch," Kusaka muttered.
"Kusaka-kun?" Rina asked, and Kusaka went back to reality.
"Oh, sorry. It's so sudden that I don't know what's what," Kusaka explained.
"Well there is one thing I want to ask you something. You didn't come to the reunion right? Even so, here…" Mari said as she held the signing card and showed it to Kusaka, whose eyes then widen as he saw the card. "Everyone signed their name on the card, with your name included."
"I don't know," Kusaka said, with a smile. "I was late anyways. Could it possibly a prank?"
"A prank, it is?" Rina sighed. "It looks like we're back to square one again. I thought we understood a little of what Sensei said. I think it was about the Orphnoch attack."
"Sensei's not here…does that mean he's dead?" Kusaka asked.
"Yeah…and along with Haruko recently," Rina replied. "Haruko also saw something at the reunion. Father as an Orphnoch, fighting the Orphnoch that attacked us."
"Until we have a confirmation…you take care of the Kaixa Gear…and fight against the Orphnoch," Kyosuke said as he gave the Kaixa case to Kusaka. "Rina and I will investigate the reunion, with Saya. Saya hasn't stop researching since the Orphnoch attack. We'll try to start and contact other Ryūsei School students, like Arai, Kawachi, Mihara-kun, and Asami."
Michael looked at Kusaka with disgust on his face.
"I won't let him hurt Kiba and Yuka," Michael thought. "I swear on my family's grave."
Later, at Sunset
It was sunset, and the Ryūsei School students (Mari and Kusaka included), Keitaro, and Michael had gone their sperate ways. J's ashes were blowing back together as he reforming himself, into a more stronger form. J's head looked more fierce, and the back of his head had grown a crocodile tail. J reverted back into his human form, took Chaco, and walked away, presumably back to the Clover Bar.
Kikuchi Cleaners
Michael, Mari, Keitaro, and Kusaka, had all pulled up at the cleaners on their bikes. Kusaka took of his helmet and took a look at the exterior.
"So this is your house, Mari?" Kusaka assumed.
"Yeah. Well, technically it's Keitaro's house. You want to come in for a bit?" Mari asked.
"Bad idea," Michael commented. "I think we'd be fine without him."
"Come on, Michael," Mari said. "We could actually use a hand in this fight, and the cleaners. Plus, there's a lot of things we need to catch up with."
Inside, Kusaka already made himself comfortable while Mari made some tea for him.
"But I'm surprised," Kusaka said. "Everyone was fighting, and I didn't know about it. Sorry."
"It's not really anything you have to apologize for," Mari reassured Kusaka.
"I've decided," Kusaka said. "I'm going to fight as Kaixa."
"What?" Keitaro asked in shock.
"I can't just stay quiet and watch those monsters take people's lives," Kusaka explained.
"Really?!" Keitaro asked as he sat at the same couch where Kusaka and Mari were sitting in.
"Yeah," Kusaka comfirmed.
"This is great, Michael! Isn't he such a reassuring ally?" Keitaro said with excitement as he turned, to see that Michael wasn't there. "Where is he?"
"He was just there a minute ago," Mari added.
"Was it something I said?" Kusaka asked.
"No. There's something you need to know about Michael," Mari said. "He has this ability for him to see through the future. In short he's a fortune teller. And he saw this vision of you killing one of his friends."
"Is that so? Don't worry. I'll make sure that won't happen," Kusaka said.
"A friend?" Keitaro asked. "Who was it?"
"Michael doesn't want you to know," Mari said. "If you did...you'd get emotionally hurt."
"I understand not wanting to get your friends hurt. I feel the same. That's why I transformed...It was for you," Kusaka said, as he then took out a picture of a 7 year old Mari.
"That's me, from the Ryūsei School, and I was 7," Mari said, as she looked at the photo, then looked at Kusaka. "Where did you get this?"
"Oh, that? Saya gave that to me, as a memento," Kusaka explained. "She was your best friend, and good with the camera. Back then, you were always the one saving me...so from now on I'll protect you. With my own hands...I'll protect you."
That comment made Mari smiled, as she knew that an old friend was going to protect her, and Kusaka smiled back.
Clover Bar
Saeko sets a regular beer for J, and then looks to see Murakami and Takuma walk in.
"Welcome, Murakami-kun. Takuma-kun," Saeko greeted, and Murakami and Takuma took their seats. Takuma then turns to see an already drank martini glass.
"A martini without olives," Takuma observed. "Was Kitazaki-san here?"
"Yes, for a while. He had a drink and left just a little while ago. He does like to play hide games," Saeko explains as the martini glass turns to ash.
"The power to destroy everything he touches…the same as always, isn't he?" Takuma commented.
"That is true," Saeko agreed.
"Putting that aside…Mr. J, I can't believe it…that the immortal lizard has lost two lives," Murakami said, as he turned to J. "But you have one life remaining. Not only that but you lost the chance of killing that traitor Sawada. But that's understandable. A majority of the Orphnochs have a time limit in their Orphnoch form. However there are some cases that can induce their Orphnoch form, myself and Kitazaki-san for examples."
"That is true, for what you taught me only the strongest Orphnochs can endure their form," Saeko said. "I've been practicing."
"I'm proud of you, since you are my prized pupil," Murakami said before turning back to J. "Mr. J…this a truly do-or-die situation. But, I want you to keep trying to recover the belts. Also…Takuma-san and Kageyama-san…I want to ask one fo you to do a job. Get rid of a traitorous Orphnoch."
"Kiba Yuji, I assume," Takuma said. "That…and Kaido Naoya. He has just been listed as a traitor."
"Since Osada Yuka is my target, a coin flip should decide who you should target," Saeko said as she took out a coin. "Heads, Kiba Yuji…or Tails, Kaido Naoya."
Saeko flipped the coin, caught it, and put it on her left hand, covered. When Saeko revealed to Takuma, it was tails.
"At least you'll be able to fight. And if you're worried about J...don't worry. Someone I know is going to help him with his mission," Saeko said with a smile. Murakami sat closer to J, for a private talk.
"Please do your best. Consider the outcome of this," Murakami considered to J. "If you die…what will happen to him?"
Murakami then started to pet Chaco, which was the only thing J had left in his life.
"He's always lived in the center of your warmth," Murakami said, as he then stopped petting Chaco. "If you die, he probably won't live.
"Chaco," J said, as he then crushed his beer with his hands, which made Murakami smiled.
Kiba's Apartment
"What do you mean?" Yuka asked.
"Like I said…I may be forcing my way of life on you guys," Kiba said. "I've been overprotective of you guys, ever since Morishita was lost to the Orphnoch power. I didn't want that to happened to anyone else."
Kaido wasn't listening to the majority of the conversation, as he was combing his hair.
"From here on, Smart Brain will try and target any Orphnochs they call traitors. Which are the Orphnochs who don't attack humans. The president told me that a while back," Kiba explained. "If you guys stay with me, you two might also get hurt. Of course, I have no intention of changing the way I live. Attacking people I don't even hate…I can't do it now like I did with Kazaki and Chie. But if you guys want to follow Smart Brain…I won't stop you. It's a choice for you to decide…on your own free will."
"I'll stay with you, Kiba-san. I've already decided to keep the friends I have," Yuka said. "I don't want to lose them like I did with Michiko. Even though she's still in a coma…I feel like it's my fault."
"That means you won't attack humans," Kiba said with a smile.
"But I did…but they were bad," Yuka regretfully admitted, but Kiba still kept his smile.
"It's normal to feel regret. But since you only did at self defense and not at other humans, you want to live as human. That's what I believe," Kiba said.
"That is true…I did make peace with my mother…and started to develop a crush on Michael," Yuka said. "But…will it all work out?"
"Just believe, Osada-san. You gaining something is probably what prevented you from giving in to the Orphnoch power," Kiba encouraged, as he walked to Kaido. "Kaido, what about you?"
"You're very mouthy," Kaido rudely commented. "I don't care, so do what you want."
"But this is your problem too…" Kiba said. "Our Orphnoch power keeps growing everyday."
"That-is-why…I told you before!" Kaido shouted with annoyance in his voice. "I'm going to live as a human! Life is short…when it's time for humans to die, they die. Until then…enthusiastically…I'll be growing the flowers of love! Well then, that's all."
Kaido then got up, took out blue jean jacket, and quickly left.
"Wait! I still have something to say…" Kiba said as he ran after Kaido, with Yuka following him.
Kikuchi Cleaners
Keitaro set a set of clean clothes in the back of the cleaning van, and then walked to Mari as he looked at his list of customers.
"So, Mari-chan, I need you to take care of the Saito district deliveries," Keitaro said to Mari as she was setting up her bike of with laundry in a crate at the back.
"Yeah, got it," Mari said, as she see took a folded clean shirt and putted in the crate.
12 minutes later
Mari stopped at a red light, as she was delivering the laundry to the customers at the Saito district. Mari then turned to see another bike, pulling up next to her. The person took out roses to her face, and revealed his face, which was Kaido's.
Lion
"Yo!" Kaido greeted.
"You…" Mari said, as her memory recalled that she helped Kaido picked out a shirt, while finding her late friend, Inukai.
Kaido got off his bike, and started to walk closer to Mari, with the roses in his hand.
"Tha…Thanks for the other day, I…to you…want thank you…" Kaido said, stumbling through his words.
"Don't worry about it," Mari said. "Sorry, I'm in a hurry."
"Wa-wa-wait! Just for a little while!" Kaido begged. "Just for tea. Tea? Tea or something, okay? Okay? Yes? Come on, come on. That's okay, right?! Let's drink some teeeaaa!"
"Geez, stop it already," Mari said, as she pushed Kaido's wrist out of her face. "I'm on a time crunch, so be careful!"
"Yes, ma'am," Kaido said.
"Now that I've made my point...face right! Right!" Mari ordered.
"Okay," Kaido said, as he turned to his motorbike.
"Now get on the bike," Mari demanded.
"Okay!" Kaido said with excitement as he got on his bike. "Now what? We're going to ride for tea?"
"Nope," Mari said with a smile, as she saw a geen light and rode to her hand the clean laundry to her customers.
"Geez, why do I keep listening to what she says? Is this...love? The power love?" Kaido asks himself as he took out a rose from the bouquet, and the put the stem in his mouth, then going full speed ahead. "The power of LOOOOVE!"
Later
Kiba and Yuka were in Kiba's car, looking for Kaido.
"Where did Kaido go?" Kiba wondered. "I feel like he's not taking this seriously."
Yuka looked at the steering wheel.
"Kiba-san...you think I could drive for a while. I've had practice with Michael," Yuka politely asked.
"You really care for him...don't you?" Kiba asked. "You're kind of like Kaido right now. Both of you are in love."
"Yeah...I do. But...does he feel the same way about me?" Yuka asked, with worry in her voice. Yuka then turned to the car window, and saw Michael walking on the sidewalk, and her eyes widen. "Kiba-san, stop!"
Kiba then pushed the brakes, and Yuka quickly got out of the car. Michael saw Yuka, and started to run.
"Michael, wait!" Yuka called out, as Michael turned to an alleyway, with Yuka following him. When Yuka turned to see that Michael was gone. "Michael."
A few minutes later...
Yuka opened the car door, and sat back down at the passenger's seat.
"Did you find him?" Kiba asked.
"He seemed scared...of me," Yuka assumed. "I wonder why?"
"I don't think it was of you," Kiba said, which made Yuka turned to him.
"What makes you think that?" Yuka asked.
"It's just a feeling," Kiba replied.
Later, at the laundry van with Keitaro
Keitaro tries to keep his eyes on the road, and looking at the clean laundry at the same time. What Keitaro didn't notice was that Michael was in the middle of the road, and the van hit Michael, just as Keitaro stopped.
"What?" Keitaro asked in shock, and he quickly unbuckled his seatbelt and ran towards Michael. "Michael...are you alright?"
Michael gave a thumbs up as a signal.
A few minutes later...
Where did you go? Mari and I were so worried," Keitaro asked, as he was driving with Michael at the passenger's seat.
"Are you sure...you seem to care more of Kusaka more than me," Michael assumed.
"Is it because he tried to kill a friend of yours?" Keitaro asked.
"Who told you that?" Michael asked with concern in his voice.
"Mari-chan. Could that possibly a reason why you left?" Keitaro asked. "Kusaka-san doesn't like the type though. Could it just be a miscalculation."
"My predictions are never wrong," Michael said. "It was just one timeline. But he's still a threat."
"He doesn't seem that bad," Keitaro said with optimism. "He's the captain of the fencing, horseback riding, and tennis clubs. So he seems suitable as Kaixa."
"He's probably way more talented than me," Michael said with annoyance.
"You're never this annoyed," Keitaro observed. "Do you need to talk to someone?"
Before Keitaro could answered, Mr. J got in front of the van from a distance and transformed into the Crocodile Orphnoch, with his new form...his rampage form. Keitaro saw J, as the Crocodile Orphnoch, and stopped the van.
"That guy...I forgot he can do that!" Michael said.
Near a bridge
Takuma was reading his poems, where he then heard Kaido riding through and stopped as he saw Takuma reading his poems. Kaido then got out of his bike, and took of his biker helmet.
"Hey, what's with you?" Kaido asked, and Takuma turned to Kaido.

Michael transformed into Faiz, as he ran to fight against J.
Back with Kaido and Takuma
"Kaido Naoya...you've betrayed the expectations of the Smart Brain president," Takuma said. "I will punish you."
"Hey...Are you an Orphnoch?" Kaido asked.
"Yes. One of the strongest," Takuma said. "But with you as an opponent, I wonder if there's reason for me to transform or not..."
Takuma flipped to the middle pages of his book of poems, and his finger circled around the two pages.
"When you make the power of the Orphnoch completely a part of yourself...you can use that power, even in human form," Takuma explained, as a fire of words emerged from his book, literally. The fireball flew towards Kaido, sending him flying to the ground. Kaido got up, his face faded white, and transformed into the Snake Orphnoch. Kaido charged and tried to punch at Takuma, but Takuma dodged Kaido's punch with his book.
Michael vs. J
Michael did a punch to J's crocodile skin, but there was no impact. J caught a punch from Michael, and started to win the battle against Michael. Keitaro ran to see Michael losing to J. Keitaro took out his phone and dialed for Mari, who then answered it.
"Mari-chan? Get Kusaka-san! Hurry!" Keitaro cried, and then his cell was pushed out of his hand. Keitaro turned to see a gorgeous man, wearing a white suit.
"So...you're with Faiz. After I kill Faiz and take the belt...I will take your life," the gorgeous man said, as his face faded white, then transformed into the Swordfish Orphnoch, and summoned two sables. He slashed at Keitaro who dodged it, but hits on iron pipe, which was cut in half due to the sables.
Kaido vs. Takuma
Every punch that Kaido gave, Takuma blocked every one with his book of poems. After one last punch, Takuma slapped Kaido and fell onto the driveway, where Kiba's car was at. Kiba and Yuka saw this, quickly got out of the car, and ran to Kaido.
"Kaido!" Kiba cried out as he ran to Kaido.
"Kaido-san!" Yuka cried as well she ran to Kaido.
"Oh? Three of a kind. Perfect," Takuma said as he put his book of poems down. "Are you Kiba Yuji? You are also...a traitor!"
Takuma's face faded gray, and he transformed into his true form, the Centipede Orphnoch. Takuma's Orphnoch had iron rings all over his arms and legs, with his chest looking like a straitjacket. Kiba and Yuka got up and transformed into the Horse and Crane Orphnochs, respectively. The three renegade Orphnochs started to fight the transformed Takuma. None of them were up to par with Takuma, since this was a new Orphnoch they've come acrossed with. Takuma kicked Kiba in the stomach, but Kiba dodged it and summoned his horse sword.
Michael vs. J
Michael was still losing against J with his new rampage form. Keitaro through a trash can at the Swordfish Orphnoch, but the Swordfish slashed it with ease. The Swordfish then turned to see Kusaka riding by, and the Swordfish got hit by Kusaka's bike, sending him flying to J.
Kusaka, already with the belt on his waist, took of his biker helment and flipped out the Kaixa phone.

Kusaka transformed into Kaixa and ran to fight against the two Orphnochs. Kusaka kicked the Swordfish Orphnoch in the face, sending him rolling to the ground. Kusaka took out the Kaixa mission memory and inserted into the blaygun.
Ready!
The blaygun then transformed into a lightsaber, and held it by the gun grip. Then, the fight began, but Kusaka and the Swordfish's strength were equally matched. Kusaka then kicked the sables out of the Swordfish's hand, making the latter to almost loose his balanace. Kusaka then side-flipped the phone and pressed the enter button.
Exceed Charge!
Kusaka pulled the hammer part at the Swordfish, pressed the trigger button, and shot the Swordfish, with a yellow energy yet paralyzing his body. Kusaka does a pose, and super speed runs into Swordfish, and slashes the Swordfish from the inside, then comes out. The Swordfish has a yellow chi symbol on his chest, and then turns to ash.
Kusaka then turned, ran to J, and punched him in the chest, with much impact than Michael's punches. Michael then touched Kusaka's chest and turned to him.
"Hey! I don't need your help," Michael said, as he ran to fight J on his own.
"Really? In that case, do as you please," Kusaka said as he took out the Kaixa phone, side-flipped it, pressed the end call button, and the Kaixa suit disappeared in yellow lasers, then walked back to his bike. (Cue Dodgin the Fuzz by VideoHelper_
"No way...!" Keitaro said in shock. "Michael, why are you being so stubborn?!"
Kusaka sat on his bike, took out another cleaning wipe, and wiped his hands.
Renegade Orphnochs vs. Takuma
All three of the renegade Orphnochs were getting tired from fighting Takuma, who was quick to dodge their attacks. Yuka was able to succeed with some punches and kicks, along with Kiba. But, Kaido's attacks were unsuccessful, since it turned out Takuma was powerful than Kaido.
After Kiba managed to do a stabbing attack to Takuma, the latter generated a centipede-like whip and slashed at Kiba's sword, knocking it out of Kiba's hand. Takuma then did a couple more slashes with his centipede-like whip, before doing a stabbing motion with the whip towards Kiba, sending him flying to the grass, rolling on the ground, and falling into the water.
After Kaido saw that Kiba had fallen in the water, Takuma walked towards him, which made Kaido cowardly run away. Then, Yuka came in front of Takuma, and prepared to punch him, until he made the stop hand, which made Yuka stopped as well. (End Track)
"Osada Yuka…stop," Takuma said. "You are not my prey to deal with."
"Eh?" Yuka said in confusion.
Michael vs. J
J did another punch towards Michael, sending him into a metal railway. J then generated a crocodile-like sword out of his hand, and walked towards Michael, menacingly.
"Oh god, not good," Michael said as he dodged J's first few slashes, before losing to him after a slash to the arm and then to the metal chest. Even when Michael tackled J, that still wouldn't work. After Michael slashed J in the back, the former took out the digital camera, took out the mission memory from the phone, and inserted it in the digital camera, which turned into the gauntlet.
Ready!
Michael then opened the phone, pressed the button, and closed the phone.
Exceed Charge!
J then prepared to do a giant slash at Michael, as his crocodile-like sword glowed blue, like fire. Michael charged at J for a punch, but J managed to slashes at Michael, causing to belt to fly off of Michael, and him falling into the river.
"Michael!" Keitaro cried as he run to get the belt.
By this moment, two allies were lost at sea…Kiba and Michael.
To Be Continued
A few changes I made to some characters. More specifically, Kiba and Yuka, who have always been my favorite characters in Faiz. Kiba's character motivation for my rewrite will be Yoshimasa Morishita, Chie's Brother (played by Kamen Rider Kabuki's Actor Toshinobu Matsuo, and Chie was played by Mika Katsumura, who played TimePink in Timeranger), being the main motivation for Kiba to help his Orphnoch friends. Yuka has a similar motvation, but with her loving humans, what I've planned. Michiko in a coma, should've been a reason for Yuka to fight for humanity. Yes, Ryuki did the same thing with Eri, which was before Faiz. But, I want have some character's past have an impact on someone. Enough of me talking, I've bored you long enough.
