Last Time, the gang plus Cody arrive in Iccirus, and gang registers for the Clubsplosion and run into some old friends, Cody finally finds a lead on the Light Stone too, so all seems pretty good, however in his rush Cody left Mienshao and Druddigon with the gang, not really thinking, this proves to be fatal as the two accidentally reveal Cody's secret to Emolga who was casually eavesdropping, oops.

The very next day, in the morning…

"Alright, Clubsplosion's today!" Ash shouted at the top of his lungs, waking everyone up.

"It still doesn't start til noon though, and it's still eight" Cilan said.

"Just a few more minutes, please" Iris said.

"Well, you guys can sleep in, but we're gonna train" Ash said. "You mind if I borrow your pokemon a bit?"

"Sure go ahead, go get them some extra training or something" Iris mumbled.

"Yeah alright, have fun Ash" Cilan said, bundling up.

Ash went into the local field and released all of his, Iris', and Cilan's pokemon, as well as Druddigon and Mienshao, they then all started training.

Well everyone except Emolga, of course she still knew Cody's secret, and that he was a very dangerous man, and also happened to be Servine's old trainer, but how to go about saying it, obviously she couldn't just say it out loud, but she had to tell someone, but who? And what exactly some information was a little too much to bear, she would know.

'Hey Servine, can I talk to you about something?' Emolga whispered. 'Privately?'

'Yeah sure' Servine said, the two went into a small bush for a bit. 'So what do you wanna talk about?'

'Well, uh, I kinda heard something, yesterday, it kinda concerned me' Emolga said. 'You know Cody?'

'Yeah, what about him?' Servine asked.

'We shouldn't go near him, or any of his pokemon, at all, not just you and me either, but everyone!' Emolga said, she sounded a little out of her comfort zone.

'Wait what? Why?' Servine inquired, it was very strange for Emolga of all people to say that, she was always more social than anyone.

'Okay, well, uh' Man I did not think she ask me why! 'You see, Cody he's actually a part of Team Rocket' Emolga said.

'Huh? You mean he's a spy?' Servine said, shocked, she couldn't keep her cool after this. 'But why? How? Who is this guy really?!'

'Uh, well, okay I know this may surprise you, I think you're already surprised actually, but this gonna hurt you a lot, personally'

'It's okay, I can take it'

'If you're sure' Emolga didn't need an answer the look on Servine's face told her everything. 'Cody's real name is, are you sure you want me to say it?'

'Yes I'm sure, whoever it is, I'll here it out, I've already been fooled before, when I learned Leaf Storm'

'Okay, Cody's real identity, and also Missile's is, Derik' Emolga squealed out, bracing for the worst.

'No, he couldn't, he wouldn't have, you mean, Cody is Missile, and Missile is Derik, my old trainer?'

'I'm afraid so' Emolga said, sorrow filled her voice.

'No, no, no, this is just some sort of bad dream, this can't be true' Servine was clearly struggling to come to terms with the information.

'And worst part is, his pokemon, they seem to actively resent you, in fact I think if they knew you were here, they would straight up kill you!'

'But I know Derik, and I know these pokemon, they would never do anything of the sort, they wouldn't steal, wouldn't lie, wouldn't take lives, would they?'

'Servine, it's for the best to let go, and accept that they have changed' Emolga said, normally she'd be freaking out and Servine be the one to calm her down, not the other way around.

After a brief pause, Servine said. 'Okay, fine but there's gotta be a reason for this, hopefully one that doesn't involve me' Servine said, coming to her senses.

'Yeah, I know it's hard to go against an old friends wishes, but it's the right thing to do' Emolga said.

'Alright then, so how do we go about this, then?' Servine asked. 'We can't just confront them right there and then'

'Well I think everyone should be informed, at least of Cody's connections to Team Rocket, do you want them to know about your old trainer?' Emolga asked.

'No, that's still a touchy subject, I don't want everyone to know that I, abandoned my own trainer' Servine said, the last part was mumbled.

'Alright, I'm inform Iris' team, and you inform Cilan's okay?'

'Okay'

'Well, let's go then!'

Meanwhile with Ash…

"Alright, that was a great one guys" Ash congratulated Oshawott, who had just beaten Krokorok, although the battle was probably rigged.

'Yeah it was Oshawott who was great, though' Axew said.

'That was sure nice from Krokorok especially' Excadrill said.

'I think they both did great' Mienshao complimented from the sidelines.

'Nice man, she's beginning to like you' Krokorok whispered to his partner in love.

'Yeah, I think we got a really good thing going on here' Oshawott said.

'Hey guys, I need to tell you something' Emolga said, from behind the two.

'Yeah what is it?' Krokorok asked.

'Cody, he's actually a part of Team Rocket, and you two should stay clear of him and his pokemon' Emolga said.

'Wait, he is? But I, we can't stay away from his pokemon' Oshawott said.

'I don't know man, I know you really want this, but that was before this new info' Krokorok pointed out.

'Yeah, and they could spell trouble, we gotta band together and look out against them' Emolga continued. 'You guys forward this message to the rest of Ash's team, but don't let Mienshao or Druddigon find out, okay?'

'Uh yeah, Oshawott?'

'I mean' Oshawott looked over at Mienshao, he couldn't see no evil in her. 'Maybe?'

'Good, I'm going to tell the rest of Iris' pokemon, stay safe' Emolga then flew away.

'Well, it seems that your crush is a bit of a bad gal, sorry' Krokorok said, apologetically.

'But I mean, just because your trainer does bad stuff, doesn't mean you're bad, right?'

'I mean I guess not, but Emolga seemed pretty dead serious, and she's well Emolga, she's never serious, so I think it might be best if we moved on' Krokorok said.

'Nah, I'm still doing this' Oshawott said, profusely.

'Oh man, he's blinded by love' Krokorok mumbled, facepalming. 'Okay, fine if you're sure about this, I'll even help you, I just want you to know that this is potentially dangerous'

'Yeah, I find danger hot'

'I don't think that's why you've taken such an interest in Mienshao' Krokorok said, sweat dropping.

Noon in Iccirus City…

Ash and the gang were at the stadium where the Clubsplosion would take place.

"Oh man I'm so excited' Ash said.

'Me too!" Iris said as well.

"The rules will be explained in just one minute" Cilan said.

Eventually that one minute passed and the giant screens showed a man who then proceeded to explain the rules.

"Welcome competitors, today is the start of the 12th annual Clubsplosion, which will take place over the next three days, this years rules are a real doozy, for this time we're doing tag team battles!"

"Tag team battles?" Ash and Iris said at the same time.

"That's right, that means you will be partnered with another trainer, you will each be allowed two pokemon, although if both of your pokemon faint you can't battle anymore, and have to rely on your partner to win for you, then at the end, when only one tag team remains, the two trainers will face off against each other for the grand prize!"

"What an interesting set of rules" Cilan said.

"The winner of this year's Clubsplosion will get a year's supply of Vitamins, and sigh, just 100,000 pokedollars"

"What?! That's less than last time!" A trainer shouted out.

"Yeah! What's the big idea!?" Shouted another.

"That's only enough to buy 500 fresh waters!" Shouted yet another trainer.

"Now now, I know that you're a little angry, but we've run into some financial difficulty, and had to cut it out of the prize money, anyway here is the bracket!"

The giant screens turned into brackets showing who was paired up with who, and who they were gonna face up against, Ash and Iris were gonna go up against Betty and Getty, Flora and Edmund vs Cilan and Burgundy, Trip and Bianca would fight against Delbert and Gail, Steven and Montgomery were against Angus and Jimmy Ray, you know that guy from the first tournament, very important character here.

"Nice we got paired up with each other" Ash said to Iris.

"Yeah, what a coincidence, to bad for Cilan though" Iris said.

"Oh you little slime! You rigged it didn't you!" Burgundy yelled at Cilan.

"Trust me this was not in my control, it just happened to pair us up" Cilan said, stepping back.

"Wow I got paired with Montgomery, that guy won the last Clubsplosion" Steffen said.

"Hey, it looks like we'll be two fighting type trainers working together Stephan" Montgomery said, coming up.

"You, you said my name right, you said my name right! We're gonna be the best team I know it!" Stoppon said, hugging his teammate who was a little surprised.

"Looks like it's me and Trip, oh boy" Bianca said.

"Haha! We're gonna win for sure!" Trip said.

"Oh well, it's good that you're so confident in our victory" Bianca said.

"No not you, me, myself, and I, we're gonna win, against everyone in this tournament, including you!" Trip said, like an asshole.

"Wow, that's not rude at all"

"Alright competitors, you have until 1:00 PM to reconvene with your new partner, then we will start the tournament!"

It had been an hour and the Clubsplosion was about to start, Ash and Iris were on one side of the stadium and Betty and Getty on the other, well the tournament's about to start, and when it does I'm gonna lose my job, welp see ya later I guess.

"Trainers are you ready?" The announcer announced, although I guess I still have to do taglines. "Then start!"

Ash and Iris released Whirlipede and Deino respectively, and Betty and Getty released Liepard and Swoobat respectively.

"Whirlipede Rollout on Swoobat!"

"Deino Dragon Rage against Liepard!"

"Liepard dodge and use Dark Pulse"

"Swoobat intercept with Air Cutter!"

"Whirlipede dashes through those Air Cutters, and hits Swoobat twice, Liepard misses the Dark Pulse, and gets hit with Dragon Rage"

"Liepard retaliate with Slash"

"Dodge it Deino!"

"Deino gets Slashed!"

"Whirlipede Twineedle on Liepard!"

"Liepard gets hit by the Twineedle and it's poisoned!"

"Swoobat use Psychic on Whirlipede!"

"Swoobat hits Whirlipede hard with Psychic"

"Rollout once more on Swoobat!"

"Rollout hits Swoobat thrice knocking it out!"

"Nice one Whirlipede!"

"Swoobat return, Musharna go!"

"Deino use Bite on Musharna"

"Dodge it, and use Psychic"

"Deino goes in for a Bite and hits!"

"Liepard use Bite on Deino!"

"Whirlipede use Rollout on Liepard!"

"Liepard goes in for the Bite, but it's intercepted by Rollout knocking it out!"

"Liepard return, Pawniard come on out!"

"Musharna use Shadow Ball on Whirlipede"

"Dodge it!"

"Whirlipede gets hit by the Shadow Ball, but it's still going"

"Pawniard use X-scissor on Deino!"

"Pawniard hits Deino with an X-scissor!"

"Whirlipede Twineedle on Musharna!"

"Deino Dragon Rage on Pawniard!"

"Whirlipede Twineedles Musharna knocking it out! Deino Dragon Rages Pawniard knocking it out too!"

"We won!" Iris said, jumping up in joy.

"Yeah we did!" Ash said, proudly.

"Well, I guess we got beaten" Betty said.

"At least we tried" Said Getty.

"And that's the first battle, now for Flora and Edmund vs Cilan and Burgundy!"

Far far away from Iccirus City and the Clubsplosion…

"Alright Dragonspiral tower, just a few more minutes of walking and we'll be there" Derik said, after a few minutes he had arrived, it was a rather tall tower, but easy to miss for it was deep within a dense forest, it was surrounded by a large frozen lake, luckily there was a bridge to the tower itself.

"Hello traveler!" An old woman greeted from within. "What brings you to these parts?" She asked.

"Hello, I'm here looking for an artifact called the Light Stone, do you know anything about it?" Derik asked.

"Oh yes, I know lots of things about that, gave it to a few folks a few years ago, well a part of it, wasn't very useful, just an old stone it was"

"Yeah, well I'm actually here to inquire about the second half of the stone" Derik said.

"Oh that, well I'm afraid it's lost" The woman said. "Lost long long ago"

"Oh, well I guess this was for nothing, well see ya"

"Wait, young man, there is still one possible place"

"Really?"

"You see long ago, the full Light Stone was guarded in this tower by some fearsome trainers, for some reason I'll never understand that rock was worth millions back then"

She mustn't have known about Reshiram in that stone "Do you know how it was lost?"

"Oh yes, I've only heard rumors, but they say that a thief once came to steal the stone, he succeeded if only for a little bit, as the guardians soon caught up to him, using their pokemon's might they blasted him out of the tower, breaking off a piece of the stone while doing so, the thief and a part of the Light Stone were lost in this very lake, for the rest eternity" The old woman said. "Well I don't think that's what happened, I think they just dropped and shattered it, and misplaced a part somewhere"

"So you're saying that I'll have to dive into those frigid waters to get that stone?"

"If you believe in legends, why I heard a legend that there was sort of giant dragon in that stone, bah, nonsense I say"

"Hmm, well then, I guess I'll have to prepare"

"It's your funeral kid"

Back to the Clubsplosion…

The first round of battles had ended, Ash and Iris, Cilan and Burgundy, Trip and Bianca, and Stoof and Montgomery, all made it to round two.

"Alright, that was pretty fun" Ash said.

"I even made it to round two this time" Cilan said. "Even with Burgundy of all people"

"Well don't get too excited tomorrow we're gonna face off against each other" Iris said.

"Oh well, at least one of us will make it to round three" Cilan said.

"Come on, let's go eat I'm hungry, and plus we oughta get ready for tomorrow" Ash said.

Ash and the gang got some food to eat, then went to go get some more training.

"Alright guys, today's Clubsplosion went pretty good, and if we want to keep it up then we'll have to train, so let's get to it!" Ash said.

Most of the pokemon got to training, but for a select few they were recruiting others.

'Crustle, Petilil, Pansage?' Servine said.

'Yeah Servine what's up?' Pansage asked.

'There's something you guys need to know about' Servine said.

'Okay what is it?' Crustle asked.

'Well, Cody, he's a part of Team Rocket'

'What!?' Petilil said, Stun Sporing over everyone. 'No way!'

'Yeah, he is' Servine said again.

'But what do we do?' Crustle asked.

'We gotta band together, start a revolution!' Petilil said.

'Now now, let's not resort to violence' Pansage said.

'We gotta take them out before they take us! We must revolt! Viva la revolucion!' Petilil cried out.

'Well, maybe we shouldn't attack right away' Servine said. 'They are still people after all'

'Yeah, but we gotta stay prepared, just in case' Crustle said.

'I can agree with that' Pansage said.

'What can we do now though?' Petilil asked.

'Well, you guys can get stronger I suppose, we outnumber them, but they are still pretty strong' Servine said. I would know I've traveled the region with them

'Yeah, come on, let's really pump it!' Petilil said, invigorated.

Over to Emolga…

'Wait you mean Cody's actually evil?' Deino asked.

'Well maybe not evil, but at the very least, dangerous' Emolga said.

'This changes everything' Excadrill said, mostly to himself.

'I don't want ti believe it, but you might be right' Axew said.

'I know it's a hard thing to swallow, but we gotta stick together and make sure nothing bad happens' Emolga said.

'You're right, we gotta protect ourselves' Deino said.

'But how?' Axew asked.

'Obviously we gotta get stronger, we need to train more' Excadrill said.

'Yeah that's a great idea, alright, do that, and we'll all be strong together' Emolga said.

'Yeah!'

To Krokorok…

'Why they lied to us!' Braviary said, furiously.

'Man, I thought they really out did themselves this time' Pikachu said.

'What will we do now though?' Whirlipede asked.

'I don't really know, the one thing I do know is that Cody can't be trusted, and that we must stick together to protect each other from him' Krokorok said.

'What about everyone else, do they know?' Pikachu asked.

'Yeah! Axie and the others should know about this' Braviary jumped in.

'Well Emolga and Servine are telling everyone else, so I think so' Krokorok said.

'That's good, either way we should band together and prepare to deal with the threat' Whirlipede said.

It was a shock that many of the pokemon had never felt before, but the truth was in plain sight, Cody was a bad guy, and they all needed to band together to survive, no matter what though, this was gonna make things a lot, and I mean a lot more complicated, some will be blinded by love, others by their innocent youth, some by cherished memories long since past, but one thing remained clear, this was not gonna be pretty.
