"Where am I? And why am I naked?"
The young blonde man was normally quite confident with himself and his body, but being in such an odd place in an odd state made his pale face blush. Save for a bright ruby crystal hanging around his thin neck, he was indeed laying with no clothes on his wiry frame. His impossibly green eyes shifted around the odd bronze fog that wafted around the space. It was a space of no end, no beginning. All that existed was himself and the bright light that peeked through the fog that enveloped him.
He lifted himself up to his feet. His head swam in vertigo as he noticed the floor did not seem to exist. He was floating in an ethereal swamp of smoke and golden flares that swam around him. He would be scared out of his wits if he were not used to being in place like this now.
"Seriously," he said louder. "Can I have clothes? It's quite cold in here."
"Sorry about that. Hold on."
A snap of the fingers.
Black robes draped themselves onto the blonde boy. He was thankful for the familiar silk fabric that hung onto him like a glove fitting a familiar hand. Gathering his bearings, he looked around in the strange realm. He had to be in a dream. Maybe he was inside one of those weird doujinshi comics. He hoped no tentacles would be involved this time.
"Who was that?" The boy said in a light British accent.
"It's me, the Creator." A deep voice bellowed out.
The boy shivered at the reverberation of the voice. "Creator? Like God?"
"To you? Sure," the voice said. "I decide who you are. I decide your story. And, sad to say, but your story has changed."
The boy furrowed his eyebrows. He remembered he was an important part of a previous story, but he could not quite place all of the details in his head. He scratched his angular jaw and cleared his jaw. His skin was still cold like small pellets of icy rain pricked his skin.
"What do you mean 'changed?' What happened to my story? What happened to where I was? My friends?"
"Specifically?" The voice said. "You fell into a tree and hit your head, snapping your neck instantly."
A pause. The boy scratched his head.
"I fell into a tree?"
"Into a tree." The voice re-iterated.
The boy should have been confused, but he had to nod to himself. He remembered that he was viewed as a reckless individual. He would jump headfirst into a tree.
"Yup. So, you died," the voice said after a long pause.
"But I still had so much to do," the boy said as he waved his hands at sky, hoping the voice noticed. He began to shiver again as the finality of his situation bore upon him. His throat grew drier than a cactus plant as his spine tingled with anxiety. "People to save! Friends to help!"
"And you can still do that," The voice said. "I am a Creator that leaves no opportunity for fanservice to go to waste. Which is why I am putting you in another story. And you get to be the villian!"
The boy scoffed and crossed his arms. "I don't want to be a villain. Didn't you read the last story? That goes against what Ive been trying to prove. That I'm not a villain! That I'm a good person!"
"And you are," the voice stated again. "Because you may appear to be a villain to this cast of characters, but you are doing a service to everyone. You just have to accomplish this one task, and you will be put back in your story."
The boy sniffled. A warm wind rushed over him at the thought of reuniting with his friends again. He stared upwards as he tucked a strand of his short hair behind his ear. "And I can see my friends again? My home?"
"Sure," The Creator said. "But it won't be easy. You will have to defeat a group of new characters and be put in some odd situations."
"That's fine," the boy shrugged. His back straightened in resolve as he patted the crystal hugging his chest. He felt a soft throbbing that vibrated in his hands. A reassuring throb that promised to protect him no matter what obstacle came at him. "I'm used to it."
"You have to do one major task."
The boy could not help but smirk. He had a chance to go back to his normal world, and he was a sucker for adventure. He waited with baited breath as he prepared for his new journey.
"You have to restore balance to the universe. You must kill Izuku Midoriya."
The boy's eyes widened.
"Who?"
A sigh.
"Oh, right? You don't know the story yet. Let me get to that. So, you're entering a world where people have superpowers..."
Come one, come all! It's an SYOC! Yes, time to have some fun in the land of SUPERHEROES. Seems easy enough.
So you may be a little confused by this prologue. Well, maybe if you READ MY PREVIOUS SYOC, you would know. But maybe it's better you don't. Whatever. The point is that this is going to be an SYOC where you, yes, you get to make the characters! So let's see what happens!
So here is the app! You can access it on my profile as well. Will probably as more questions as the apps come in.
No real rules. If you want them to be related to actual characters, that's your decision. I will say this is NOT FIRST COME FIRST SERVE! The more interesting character, the better!
I'm looking for about 10-14 students, but plenty of other roles available. Feel free to submit villains or teachers into the mix. Just make sure to explain who your character is!
This school is an international school in California. So use your imaginations as far as diversity goes!
