Chapter 6: The Introduction

The evening after Izuku got the confirmation from All Might for the Juuei, he contacted me to meet with Tenko on the beach.

When he arrives, he shouts All Might, which others have heard. All Might quickly whispers that he mistook him, which Izuku realizes and says it out loud again. Tenko just laughed at the scene.

All Might then says heartily, "Congratulations on passing the exam. Just so you know, I didn't sit on the jury, nor did I tell them about us. That way you don't have to worry about vitamin B."

"Um, thank you. I'm surprised you're a teacher at Juuei. That's why we have to meet again. After all, your agency is…"

"No one needs to know. As long as the school doesn't make it public, nobody should know. When I was looking for a successor, I got an inquiry from Juuei."

Tenko understood it and a few other things. "That's why you were in town. You wanted one of the top students to be your successor. Izuku is just lucky enough to meet you beforehand." Izuku gets discouraged for a moment. "That would also explain how you were able to give me this job."

Izuku is a bit confused. "Which job?"

"Can you believe that? All Might got me a job as a teaching assistant at Juuei. I get paid by the hour and I don't get in trouble if I'm not there. However, I wonder how I come to these conditions."

All Might explains: "When I saw that Tenko is actually a good teacher, I wanted him to go to Juuei too. However, he says moral matters are not his thing and he doesn't have time every day. So I had to negotiate it with the director. At first he wasn't convinced, but when I talked about you and everything Tenko taught you, he wanted to see for himself and looked at your test. The result impressed him and he was of the opinion that he could also teach the other students a lot. So he can come and go as he pleases. As long as he's not absent too often."

Tenko continues to tell. "Do not worry. If the school is interesting, I'll probably show up a lot. However, I am concerned that you are a teacher there with your teaching quality."

"I know I'm not a good teacher. If you're that worried, you can often help with my classes."

"Spending time with you?! No thank you!" Suddenly he has a devilish grin. "On the other hand, I can embarrass you in front of the whole class with your teaching methods. hehehe"

'I've fought bad guys before, but he kind of scares me more,' All Might thinks, trembling

"Are you scared, All Might? You may not be afraid of death, but that's not your only fear." Tenko explains with an eerie giggle.

Izuku hears everything and doesn't know if he's scared and should laugh. Maybe both. "By the way, Tenko, I have to ask you something. Something embarrassing happened to me during the entrance exam."

All Might is surprised. "I saw you the whole time on the screen but nothing embarrassing except maybe you were laying on the girl's lap."

"And right then something happened in my head. When I lay on her lap I could see her without clothes."

"What!" All Might is upset. "How can you imagine something so perverted? I'm disappointed."

Izuku is saddened, but Tenko defends him. "Listen, such thoughts don't really concern us. Everyone has cravings for the opposite sex, especially if you have zero experience. I remember you hanging out with some women in fancy bikinis while he was training."

All Might turns red. "They were just interested in me and I didn't want to disappoint them. Besides, it's still easy. I can still see it as an accident that he landed on her lap, but imagining someone naked is something else. For that you would either have to be really perverted and have already seen her without her clothes. Since they met first, I doubt the second."

Now Izuku is also red and Tenko continues to defend. "Are you sure? Say Izuku, have you seen her memory?"

"I accidentally used my quirk on her once, I was stressed, but it was just a quick shot and I've already forgotten about it."

"And in one of those pictures she was probably naked wasn't she? Everyone has moments when you are without clothes, for example when you have to wash. In it you subconsciously saw her. Then when you were embarrassed with her, your desire kicked in and sent you thoughts like that."

"So I was just unlucky enough to capture one of those memories. Knowing that, I can focus on avoiding it."

All Might is glad to hear that. "I'm glad to hear you're not a pervert, just happened to see one of her private memories, and I'm also glad you're trying to avoid it."

However, Tenko is concerned. "You would have to suppress natural cravings for this, which is not easy. Even if it works, suppressing feelings won't work forever. Eventually they will come up and it may also miss the true potential of the skills learned. You could only do your first one better because you saw all of your mother's memories, and you also saw Nana Shimura's memory."

"I was still too young to understand such things and one of them comes from my mother too".

"Unfortunately I wasn't too young when you showed me nude scenes of Nana. She's also my grandmother, who I've never met, and that makes it awkward."

This also turned All Might red. 'Oh no! Now I have such images of my mentor in my head. Sorry Nana Shimura and Gran Torino.'

"Sorry. It's different from Ochako. I know she's a girl and it would be really nasty to know private things without her permission. Even if it just gives me an underdeveloped ability."

"That means if she doesn't mind, then you would."

"I do not know. Maybe. I would still be embarrassed to see girls naked even if they don't mind."

"Well, it's up to you, but remember, if you want to gain the true ability and develop it further, you won't be able to avoid such memories. At least with the girls. With boys it wouldn't happen as you have no desire for your own sex unless you're gay."

"Then I'll just continue my quirk in the future without the full potential."

All Might also gets involved. "Holding back because it's uncomfortable wouldn't be a good idea. At some point you will reach your limits if you don't give it your all."

"All Might is right about that. Also, once it becomes a habit to hang out with girls, the desire will eventually weaken."

"Then I will at least make the full potential of my male friends if I find any. I can start hanging out with the girls at Ochako." With these words he says goodbye.

From April of that year, Izuku's first day of school begin in Juuei. His mother asked energetically if Izuku also had everything and when he was annoyed and said something about his mother, she replied that he looks good.

The intake of the Juuei is 300 per year. As Präsent Mic said during the entrance exam, only 36 applicants + 4 recommended come to the hero department who were divided into A and B. There are always 20 students in a class.

Izuku enters the school and looks for his classroom. '1-A, 1-A, there it is.' Izuku stands in front of a large door. 'Is the door huge. I hope I don't run into Kat-chan or the hasty examinee with the glasses.' Izuku opens the door and realizes his bad luck when he's the two worst in his class.

Bakugo puts his feet up on the table, getting a lecture from the other worst. "Get your feet off the table. It's rude to the older students who used it as well as who made it."

Katsuki just replies with a spiteful "Huh".

"And anyway, why aren't you wearing a tie. Don't you have any respect for others?"

Katsuki spitefully replies that too. "I will do neither. What middle school were you from, minor character!?"

The boy puts a hand on his chest and introduces himself. "I come from Somei private school. My name is Tenya Iida."

"Somey?! So you belong to the elite, huh! I will destroy you."

Tenya is outraged by the statement. "Destroy?!" That's horrible! Do you really want to be a hero?"

The two noticed Izuku and the whole class right away. Tenya walks towards Izuku like a robot and re-imagines where he was interrupted mid-way by Izuku, since he's heard it before.

"I have to apologize, Izuku! I took you for a braggart, but you immediately saw through the structure of the practical exam. I am impressed."

Izuku is buff.

"Hello Izuku, so you're here too." hears Izuku behind her and sees Ochako in her school uniform. 'She looks awesome.'

"I heard you pitched in for me and wanted to know if I made it. Thank you, that's nice of you. You were so cool on the entrance exam too. How did you finish the robot?"

Izuku blushes from all the praise from the girl. He's not used to that kind of approval, especially from a girl.

Katsuki sees Izuku and the memories come back to him.

*flashback*

"You both made it at Juuei. I knew you two would make it. Apparently you have a rival, Bakugo." speaks the former class teacher of Izuku and Katsuki in the staff room.

As the two walk out, Katsuki is dragging Izuku in the backyard. He grabs his shirt and puts it against the wall. "You ruined my plan. I told you, everywhere but don't go to Juuei . You're just a loser who didn't even stand up to me."

Izuku grabs Katsuki's hand with which he grabs him to let go and smacks him with his other hand causing him to run backwards.

"Sorry to ruin your perfect plan, but I also have a goal. To reach it I go to the Juuei. If I'm a failure in your eyes, believe it. I want to tell you one more thing, I didn't want to take away your superiority, so I've always held back when I was around you, but you should never underestimate me in the future." says Izuku with a straight face and leaves.

*Back to the present*

"If you're here to play with friends, you should go somewhere else. Here's the hero department," Izuku and Ochako overhear as she continues to praise Izuku.

You see a man in a yellow sleeping bag. When he comes out of the sleeping bag, they see an exhausted man with thick long bandages around his neck, messy hair and black clothes. Izuku thinks he's a teacher and a pro hero, but couldn't identify him as the hero nerd.

The teacher runs to the teacher's desk and explains something. "It took you 8 seconds to keep calm. Time is limited for a hero. I'm Shota Aizawa, your homeroom teacher." The students are surprised that he is their class teacher. The teacher pulls out a uniform from his sleeping bag "It's a bit sudden, but put on this sports uniform and come to the sports field." The others wonder what he's up to.

Meanwhile, Tenko and All Might look at all the school records. Tenko found out interesting things. "All Might, I have bad news. Izuku's homeroom teacher is Shota Aizawa."

The name sounds familiar to All Might. "What about the teachers?"

"He expelled the whole class from school last year. I suspect he plans to do the same with Izuku and the class."

All Might is in a panic. "What! He will kick Izuku out. Is he even allowed to do that?!"

"Of course he can. Didn't you mention the school is known for its free learning environment. That means they can throw out students if they don't think they belong."

Concerned, All Might runs to Class 1-A, followed by Tenko, who smiles in surprise. 'This will be fun.'

*Back to the sports field*

The class put on their sports uniforms and gather in front of Aizawa at the sports field.

"Today you're doing a quirk test," he says nonchalantly.

"a quirk test?!" calls the class.

"But what about the induction ceremony," Ochako disagrees.

"As a hero you don't have time for such an event. The great advantage of the Juuei is its freedom. It means that we teachers are allowed to do the lessons the way we want.

Fifty-meter dashes, grip strength, long jumps, side jumps, long throws, sit-ups, touching toes, endurance running, you did all of those in middle school without your quirks. These countries use the value of students who don't use quirks. I don't think that's rational. Well, they're also a bit scared of what might happen.

Izuku Midoriya, you have the entrance test with the highest score in both categories. Stand on the circle. How far could you throw softball in middle school?"

Izuku goes and the others are amazed to hear about Izuku's accomplishments, except for Katsuki, who is disgusted that he doesn't have first place.

"I could throw it 34 yards."

Izuku stands on the white circle and looks in the direction of the two white lines, which separate the further they protrude and the end cannot be seen. Aizawa throws him a ball.

"It doesn't matter. Now throw the ball with your quirk. You can use anything as long as you don't leave the circle."

"Does that mean I can jump up there too?"

"If it helps, as long as you're under the circle when throwing."

'Okay then, I'll try my best. Since it's just practice, 'by the time it's my turn again, I'll be able to recover quickly.'

His legs are glowing green and he jumps very high. As he jumps up, his ball starts to glow and a lot of wind collects on the ball.

When he gets very high, he straightens his throwing arm, collects as much wind as he can, and shoots the ball as far as possible.

Aizawa's device on his hand measures the distance the ball travels. It reads 3576 meters. Izuku lands softly on the floor and had to exhale for the first time. That took a lot of energy.

The whole class is buff on performance, especially Bakugo. 'This nerd could pull off such a feat.'

"It is important to know your limits. That's the first step to becoming a superhero."

All Might in muscle form and Tenko have just arrived and are hiding behind a building.

"Does that mean we can use our quirks? Great!" "I already love this short." "That will be fun."

"That will be fun?" Aizawa asks, putting on a sadistic face. "You think 3 years of hero training will be fun and games. Then I'll do it like this. Whoever ranks last among the total of the 8 sports disciplines will be considered a loser and kicked out of the hero division." The whole class freaks out at the statement that Aizawa doesn't care. He strokes his hair and replies sadistically: "I can do whatever I want with you. This is hero school."

All Might and Tenko, who just arrived and didn't see Izuku's performance, are worried. Tenko looks worried. "Izuku has never been able to do well in physical education. He's guaranteed to fail." All Might hears it and gets scared for him.

The students aren't happy and Ochako says, "Ejected?! This is our first day. It's unfair even if it's not our first day."

"Unfair you say. Natural disasters, big accidents and evil villains. All the incidents that happen are unforeseen. The world is full of unfair and unjust tragedies. Our job as heroes is to avert such tragedies. If you want to have a happy time after school, then you've come to the wrong place. For the heroes, all life will feel like hell. So overcome it with Plus Ultra."

Tenko overhears everything. "Is that true, All Might?!"

He replies with regret. "Unfortunately, yes. We heroes have to deal with such unfair and unjust tragedies so often that we don't even recognize it as such. We don't even have time to raise a proper family, especially the big heroes. Your father is kinda right. To avert such tragedies, we even hurt our own family. Being a hero isn't as joyous as everyone thinks."

The classes start with the first discipline: 50 meter run.

Tenya Iida drinks his orange juice from his hydro flask and starts first. Competing against the frog-like girl named Tsuyu Asui, he has a great start of 3.04 seconds with his "engine" on his legs. The girl has 5.58 seconds.

Next, Ochako Uraraka kicks the student with the tail. She uses Zero Gravity to make her clothes and shoes weightless. The student can overtake her with his tail in 5.49 seconds. Ochako could only cover 7.15 seconds.

Next starts the glitter boy named Yuuga Aoyama from the entrance exam. He competes against the pink barefoot alien girl. He uses his navel laser to quickly charge forward. Unfortunately, if he uses it for more than a second, he gets a stomach ache, so he had to stop midway, the alien girl overtakes him and only manages 5.51 seconds.

Aizawa mentally argues that by knowing your limit and possible growth, you know what you can and can't do. This will equip the students with the creativity needed to survive.

Next, Deku faced off against Kat-chan. Kat-chan directs his explosion behind his back and comes 4.13 seconds. However, Deku shoots himself with his Quirk, easily passing him and getting exactly 3 seconds. So 3 milliseconds faster than Tenya. Kat-chan is frustrated that he was defeated by Deku.

*Next, grip strength.*

The big six-armed student manages 540 kilos. It is known as the octopus gorilla. The featured tall girl with braids named Momo Yaoyorozu creates a weird device with Creation and reaches 1.2 tons. Izuku wraps his grip with a powerful repulsion, even reaching 1.5 tons.

*then long jump*

Yuuga and Katsuki fly across the sand while Izuku jumps so far that he is no longer recognizable.

*sideways jump*

The little one with the lia balls on his hair named Minoru Mineta places piles of purple balls on either side and repels each other. Tenya uses his engine and looks silly while doing it. Izuku uses repulsion and attraction on both sides at the same time, pushing and pulling himself so fast his feet are smoking.

*long throw*

Katsuki starts first and shoots his ball 705 meters. Momo creates a cannon and reaches about 28000 meters. Ochako even manages to throw infinitely far, which amazes everyone. Since Izuku has already performed it, he is allowed to sit out here.

*Meanwhile*

All Might looks at everything and is amazed. He was also able to achieve such performances in training. Suddenly Tenko's words come back to him. "Didn't you say that Izuku was never able to do well in physical education. How could that happen with such ability." Tenko is not surprised by the question, but he only hears it now. "You're only realizing that now. You leave after All Might. In normal physical education one is supposed to perform without quirks and since his great achievements were only achieved through his quirk, in physical education he only performed at the level he would have achieved without it." All Might is really surprised. "Izuku really is a fair sportsman." "Yes! That's him." The two continue to watch.

Izuku can create a great many pieces with Ochako as his partner and his ability.

*Touch toes.*

Izuku manages to touch his toes. However, he couldn't use his ability here. Tsuyu is quite agile and can even reach a bit further with her hands than her feet. She even sticks her tongue out far with a length of 1973 cm.

*endurance run*

Izuku uses foot repulsion to be very fast. He ran neck and neck with Tenya and was unfortunately only passed by a few millimeters. Momo creates a scooter with a helmet and rides it to the finish line. Minoru complains to Aizawa that this is really against the rules, but since it's part of her quirk, the teacher allows it.

"You have endured all discipline. Since it's a waste of time to tell you, I'll show the result. As a reminder, the result is the sum of all disciplines." he explains and uses his device to generate a screen with the results:

The class looks at the result and Katsuki is not thrilled. 'Deku has first place and has passed me so far. How could he achieve such feats compared to physical education? Has he fooled me over the years.'

Izuku notices Katsuki's angry outburst and takes a few steps back, away from his classmates. When Katsuki then sees him, all the fuses in him explode. He immediately runs fuming with explosions all over him. "Deku you bastard, you're going to explain it to me in detail now."

Suddenly he realizes that he cannot create explosions and is held in place by ligaments. "Why can't I use my quirk and what are those weird hard bands?" He sees the end of the bandages and sees Aizawa.

"These are ribbons reinforced with carbon fiber woven together with metal wires and a special alloy, and I erased your quirk."

Hearing the word erased and pulling the glasses around his neck, Izuku now knows who he is: "You are the eradicating hero, Eraserhead. They can erase anyone's quirks with just their eyes."

The others are discussing it. "Erasers?!" "I do not know." "Me, yes. Is an underground hero."

Tenko overhears All Might talking: "He's always trying to avoid the media because they're getting in the way of his work."

"Then he's the exact opposite of you. You're not going to get along well."

"You said it. I wanted to give him a gift as a token of cooperation but he canceled it by saying "No thanks. I hate stuff like that." rejected."

"He's a very rational hero and you're a very dreamy hero. Why should you even collaborate? Your methods contradict each other."

"It was just a friendly thought."

Back to Aizawa, he says, "Try not to cause trouble or you'll force me to use my quirk and I'll get dry eyes from it."

"Man how uncool with a great quirk." says the class. This is Shota Aizawa, homeroom teacher of 1-A. His quirk goes out when he has to blink.

He lets go of Katsuki and blinks. "Anyway, let's move on." He picks up the device he had to drop onto in the commotion and looks at her. "Minoru Mineta, so you're the last one. Do you know what happened to you?!"

The little one is trembling with fear. "I'm getting kicked out of class! Please do not. I want to keep staying here to impress beautiful girls." which only gets him ridiculed.

The teacher captivates him with a scary face. "You just want to be a hero to impress girls! With your performance, you're more likely to die before you reach that. By the way, the thing about getting kicked out is a lie." All are buff. He replies with a wicked grin. "A rational deception to deter your borders."

Everyone is suddenly startled. Mineta has passed out, Tenya's glasses have cracked from shock, Izuku has turned pale and Momo argues that it's pretty obvious when you think about it. 'I didn't notice.'

Izuku suddenly notices his battered body from putting in so much effort in the test and asks Mr. Aizawa to go to the infirmary, which gets permission immediately.

All Might smashed the corner of the building in shock at the lie. Tenko doesn't look surprised. "I knew from the start it was just a bluff." All Might is even more shocked by the statement.

"You knew it. Didn't you read that he kicked out a whole class last year?"

"He did too and we still have a 2-A. That means he kicked them out and picked them up again on the same day."

"Why did he do that? Those students would have been scared."

"Like they're dying. That was the reason for the lie. For a dedicated hero student, being kicked out of the hero class is tantamount to death, and you heroes have to deal with that. Wasn't that one of the reasons why Nana left us."

"I understand what you mean. As great heroes, we often have to deal with that. Even I saw death fighting All for One. Risking your life and recklessly losing your life are two different things. Man should always try to stay alive, even if you don't have the option."

The two secretly disappear before they are noticed. Tenko replies with a creepy smile. "Tomorrow you take care of the class. I want to talk to you about a few things. I would like to check something and the students could help me. Hehe" He laughs so creepily that All Might is scared now. 'You're even worse than Aizawa,' he thinks, shaking a bit.

Later, Izuku is walking home, thinking about his visit to the sick. He got a nasty kiss, his body healed and suddenly feels tired. Recovery Girl explains, "My quirk just activates the healing process because the body already has it and healing takes a lot of energy. So many serious injuries would have the opposite effect, which is death."

When he hears dies, he has to startle for a moment, but he has noticed something. "You can force the body to heal itself. I can use my quirk to get the body to develop its quirk. Our Quirks are similar, so I'd like to know more about her Quirk."

"I'm surprised to meet someone with a similar quirk. Not today, but if you have time after class, I'd like to explain more." Izuku thanks him kindly.

Back to the present, he thinks more about his Quirk. 'If I do it right, I can use it to heal others instead of evolving the Quirk.'

He notices Tenya walking beside him.

"I'm surprised by Aizawa. I thought he was an authority, but telling lies to motivate students is a bit cheeky."

'I thought Tenya was being hasty but he's just serious.'

"Hey you two! I want to go to the train station with you!" hear them calling and see Ochako. "You're the girl with the infinite throw." replies Tenya.

"I actually want to talk to Deku, but I would also like to chat with you. Your name is Tenya Iida, right." she says so happily

"Deku?!" surprised Izuku to hear the name.

"Well, at the sports test, the boy Bakugo said: Deku, you bastard. I thought that's what they used to call you."

"Actually, Kat-chan called me that, and it was an insult."

"Oh I am sorry. I actually thought the name was cool like, you can do it."

Izuku blushes at this answer. "Oh, Deku's fine." Tenya is surprised by the answer. "You accept an insult so easily. Don't you have decency."

"This is a Copernican turn. By the way, what do you want to talk to me about?"

"You wanted to tell me more about your quirk. You said it can develop quirks. Maybe you can develop my quirk."

Tenya is surprised. "Develop quirks?! I thought it was some kind of repulsion."

Ochako still remembers what Izuku explained. "It's his learned ability from his mother. He can also develop his Quirk and learn skills with the memories of people like his mother. The ability can not only repel but also attract. Incidentally, he also read my memory and gained a new ability. However, since he acquired them in fast forward, it's probably gone."

Tenya is excited. "Wow that's an impressive quirk, Izuku." He sees Izuku with a red face and is absent-minded. "Er Izuku, are you alright?"

Izuku remembered what Tenko said on the beach and blushed.

"I don't think so! I've seen Ochako's private memories and need to look at them properly to evolve the Quirk."

Ochako and Tenya understand his point of view. Ochako then replies. "Oh, that's how you see it. I have no problems. If it helps, feel free to look at everything."

The statement made Izuku even redder. "Do you actually know what you're saying? I would then see EVERYTHING and that makes it so wrong."

Ochako doesn't get it, but Tenya does and blushes briefly too. "I understand what you mean. You really shouldn't see it. But then how are you going to continue with your quirk."

"Do not worry! I've been training for the past few weeks so I don't have to watch it."

Ochako doesn't understand the problem and gets angry. "Can you explain where the problem lies?"

The boy replies sharply: "No!" causing Ochako to recoil. 'I'll find out what the problem is.'

The three make their way and talk about other things. Izuku is thinking. 'I still have a lot to learn, but I've finally made friends alongside Tenko.'

Meanwhile, in an empty room, the two discuss tomorrow's class, where All Might is upset about something. "For a theory like that you want to put the students through an experiment!" Tenko replies, "It's not as bad as it sounds. The students won't even notice the experiment and it won't harm him. On the contrary! If the theory is right, the students will even benefit from it."

Note: Tenko being an assistant teacher at Juuei was made up so that he and Izuku could chat more often and because his games, Izuku's notebooks and All for One's tips made him a good instructor. Since All Might is a bungler as a teacher and Tenko doesn't really admire him, he will hear a lot of criticism from him.
